This was the be of my favorite properties on a multi-city trip. This hotel is so unique. It's quiet, updated, impeccably clean. The beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. Wish we stayed longer it was so nice!

I usually never write reviews but their service, hospitality and kindness makes this the best experience I could ask for, especially for my first time in Essen, Germany. The area is quaint and connected to a neighborhood that makes it feel welcoming and authentic. But the staff is what makes this place shine, they are the heart of my stay and went out of their way to make sure I always felt at home.

Não fizeram questão de ser simpáticos em nenhum momento . Não arrumaram o quarto durante nossa estadia (ficamos 2 noites) . Enfim , equipe com treinamento ruim entrega resultado mediano .

Das Hotel ist sehr schöne gelegen, tolle Gegend! Leider waren wir vom Service enttäuscht, da wir vorgängig tolle Bewertungen gelesen hatten. Beim Empfang wurde uns nicht mitgeteilt, dass die Zimmer nicht täglich gereinigt werden. Wir waren dann erstaunt, dass das Zimmer tags darauf nicht gereinigt war. Der Teppichboden - ein brauner Veloursteppich - verzeiht nichts! Wir haben nachgefragt und erfahren, dass die Kunden nicht mehr wünschen, dass während des Aufenthalts das Zimmer gereinigt wird. Leider wurde uns das bei der Zimmerübergabe nicht mitgeteilt und im Zimmer war nur erwähnt, dass die Badezimmerwäsche nur nach Bedarf ersetzt werden, was wir unterstützen. Man hat uns dann versichert, dass auf unseren Wunsch hin das Zimmer für die kommende Nacht gereinigt wird. Am Abend war das Zimmer wieder nicht gereinigt worden (z.B. war auch der Mistkübel voll, Kaffeebeutel fehlten etc.). Bei der Nachfrage an der Rezeption erhielten wir zur Antwort, dass sie informiert wurden, dass die Zimmer gereinigt wurden. Bei uns nicht!!! Tags darauf bei der Abreise, wurde nicht nachgefragt, ob es uns gefallen hat. Die abreisenden Gäste vor uns wurden gefragt. Auch im Restaurant gab es ein Missverständnis betreffend der Reservierung des Tisches und man hat uns gesagt, dass es wohl jemand falsch verstanden hat. Es ist nicht ratsam Samstag/ Sonntag zu buchen, weil der Frühstücksservice einem 4Sternehotel unwürdig ist. Da scheinen nur studentische Hilfskräfte im Einsatz zu sein. Kaffee und Milch erhält man nur auf ausdrückliche Nachfrage, benutztes Geschirr wird nicht abgeräumt usw.

Wir haben 2 identische Komfortzimmer \"Gartenzimmer\" gebucht. Bekommen haben wir 1 kleines Zimmer für 2 Personen und 1 größeres für 1 Person. 'Wäre eigentlich kein Problem wenn man ehrlich wäre. Aber Gartenzimmer? Der Garten ist der Ausblick in fremde Gärten und Wohnzimmer... Preis beider Zimmer wurde gleich berechnet. Man hat uns zwar dann ein größeres angeboten, aber um halb zehn abends nach einer siebenstündigen Fahrt waren wir schon im Bett wo der Anruf kam... Keine Entschuldigung, ein pampiges ja dann gute Nacht! Frühstück für 19,-€ pro Person ok, aber Rühreier rochen fischig.. Abendessen war gut . Trotz Zahlung über Expedia mussten wir nochmals zahlen, morgen darauf kam die Email sie hätten einen Fehler bei der Buchung gemacht sie überweisen zurück.

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter, sowohl im Haus in Burgaltendporf als auch auf der Margarethenhöhe. Leider wirken die Zimmer nicht sehr gepflegt, der Teppich war richtig verdreckt und an den Wänden wäre es ein geringer Aufwand, die schwarzen Flecken mit einem Schwämmchen zu beseitigen. Schade das dadurch das Wohlfühlen in den Häusern nicht mehr so gegeben ist wie es einmal war.

Wir haben eine Nacht in diesem Hotel verbracht und es war sehr angenehm. Wir hatten ein Deluxe DZ gebucht, dieses war groß und modern eingerichtet, das Bad war neu, mit einer großen Dusche und sehr sauber. Das Zimmer war ruhig und es gab keine Umgebungsgeräusche. Einzig die Matratze war mir persönlich viel zu hart, aber das ist Geschmacksache. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, deftig aber auch gesund! Der Service war durchweg sehr freundlich und um den Gast bemüht, an der Rezeption, beim Frühstück sowie auch abends an der Bar. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden dieses Hotel bei einem Aufenthalt in Essen jederzeit wieder buchen! Ein kostenloser Parkplatz ist nicht vorhanden, aber wir haben in einer der Nebenstraßen geparkt, es war nur ein kurzer Fußweg, die Gegend ist sehr ruhig und historisch.

Das Personal ist stets freundlich. Einige kleine Fehler habe ich festgestellt. Diese wurden aber umgehend korrigiert, und es gab eine Kleinigkeit als Aufmerksamkeit zur Wiedergutmachung. Die Lage ist außergewöhnlich. Das Zimmer entsprach allerdings nicht dem 4*-Standard. Der Fernseher war so unglücklich angebracht, dass man nur mit Kopfverstehen fernsehen könnte. Es gab nur eine Sitzgelegenheit. Das Frühstück war nur Mittelmaß.

Das Stadthotel Mintrops war eine große Überraschung. Auch wegen des schönen Ambientes der Margarethenhöhe, welches wir in Essen nicht vermutet hätten. Auch wegen wegen des traumhaften Wetters. In allererster Linie aber waren es die Mitarbeiter, der tolle Service und der \"gute Gefühl\" in diesem Hotel, das dieses Osterwochende für uns einzigartig gemacht hat.
