I stayed in a renovated room. Everything was new but room and bathroom were extremely small. For a single person it's okay (you shouldn't have a belly though to pass to the toilet) but for a couple with a lot of baggage it's difficult. For me the size of the room was okay and I liked my stay. Why,: All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, though there was no kettle in the room I got hot water for my tea, breakfast buffet with good, the hotel is just steps from the main train station and even less steps to shops and restaurants.

We staged up for Oktoberfest at this hotel, and it was a solid choice. You are three doors down from the main train station which gives you unlimited access to Munich with food and other options. The room and bathroom were super tiny, but it had all we needed, and we saved hundreds per night over staying in Munich. Shout out to Joy from the cleaning staff who was super helpful!!!

Suitable lodging for the location and price. No AC or thermostat controls in the room I was assigned but thankfully weather conditions kept the room comfortable. Bathroom fixtures were loose but functional I.e., concerned that the towel hook would come out of the wall or shelf would do the same. Shower was clean but had some mildew and mold in the corners. I am very happy i stayed here. The hotel was very nice and the train station is a 5 minute walk and safe. Staff speaks english. I think the bar is open at all times except breakfast time. I think John(front desk, many arm tattoos) checked us in and helped us try and find our lost luggage. I want to personally thank him for all his help and a pleasant experience. I would recommend this place to anybody.

I had my \"Do Not Disturb\"! sign on my door and the cleaning lady opened my door the next morning without knocking while I was still in bed!!! I was shocked and very upset! The manager apologized and booked me into a different hotel. I did not feel safe! I could have dealt with there not being air conditioning and a bathroom window with no privacy covering that looked into the shower! The office building next door was all windows. My plan was to ask for a different room the next morning since all this was just after my first and only night at the hotel.

Good location

Good location from the train station. Decent size and clean room, shower is a bit small, but water pressure is great and soap is provided, clean towels, and a hair dryer. There is a bar downstairs with local beers on tap. And they have breakfast thts not included in the price. Staff is helpful. Buses and trams are in walking distance.

This hotel is very close in walking distance to the train station and to the main downtown square of Augsburg. It is a very nice hotel and everything was advertised correctly. The parking garage was only about a minute walk away from the hotel. I will gladly stay here again.

Quiet but the cleaning service should be improved

The hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. But the cleaning service was ill-mannered. A lady opened the room to clean while I was still in the room - I didn't hear the knocking sound and couldn't expect she will come to clean even before 9PM on the day of my departure.

The rooms are extremely small. Can hardly fit two people. Unfortunately the halls and rooms had a foul smell in them. We had to open the window to air out - in winter. Won’t be staying there again. To their credit though, the breakfast was nice.

Great condition, updated and very clean. Probably fine during the spring and fall, but certainly NOT during the summer months. As noted by others, no air conditioning, heat controls or fan make for an uncomfortable time in your room, especially if trying to sleep.

Our backpack was lost at the hotel, but the staff reacted immediately and did everything they could to solve the problem. Fortunately we had all the valueable belongings with us. Overall we were happy with the service, location and the room.

The only thing that wasn't ideal was that in the morning when I was getting ready for work, one of the receptionists banged on my door saying the fire service had detected smoke in my room and she had to come and check. She realised immediately that there was no smoke (just deodorant) and apologised.

Less than five minutes to the train station. The Ibis Augsburg hotel was very convenient to get into central Munich (and the Oktoberfest grounds). Sparkling clean and very modern with free WiFi included. Many choices for breakfast imcluding warm items like scrambled eggs and bacon. I would stay here again and I would recomend it to anyone.

Good hotel in Augsburg

I just needed a room in which to sleep, so this place was fine for that. It was really hot when I was in Augsburg and this hotel does not have fans or air conditioning. The room did cool down later in the night, but during the day it was uncomfortably warm.

Everything was excellent until the check out time. At morning when we wanted to check out and give back the room key, an staff was inside the bureau and talking with same body. When she saw us, didn't come out and showed unlike. She made a sound -za from her lips. This second delete all my happiness of the staying in this hotel.

A BIT CRAMPED

The staff was very helpful. While the room was adequate, it wasn't what I have experienced with other Ibis Hotels. We were placed in a corner room that seemed to be reduced because of the structure, i.e., it was quite small and the bathroom was tight. My other stays were in Ibis Frankfurt Airport which had a very good size room and bath-more comfortable.

One Night - Christmas Market

We choose this hotel since it was about a 15 minute walk to the Christmas market. The location was easy to find and there was parking 100 meters away for 7 Euro per-day. The hotel staff was friendly. Breakfast was not included in our room and the extra charge was more than the value of what was offered. If you want convenience, eat breakfast at the hotel, there is no other reason to spend so much for so little. The room was typical Ibis - clean, small, and comfortable. Nothing fancy.

Ok for a central hotel. Arrived late afternoon, so didnt have time to explore and find decent restaurant, but was fairly central so just wondered until found something. Was driving through so as a stop was ok, but very small room and basic, but thats what you get for the money i suppose. Clean and comfotable for one night stay.

Handy location near to the railway station. On arrival we told that there were no big rooms left to accommodate 2 adults and 1 child as booked. We were then given 2 rooms which was not ideal and had to spend the night in separate rooms!!!

A little mold next to the window in the bathroom but beside that very clean. Easy walking distance to historic city center and Christmas markets. Would stay here again.

We hadn't been to this Ibis for four years. They have done an excellent renovation and the rooms and public areas look top notch. The hotel is very convenient to the central train station. The only downside is all of the construction work that is taking place near the hotel.

Handy for station and town centre although current tram and road works a nuisance and a little noisy from 8 a.m. rooms medium size although bathroom very small - not suited for the larger guest - but well designed, with beds comfortable. Ask for extra pillows if needed as pillows very small and soft. No need for breakfast as several options on station or on way into town centre.

Convenient stay-over

My wife and I enjoyed our stay there and it met our needs. The room is very small, but all we needed was a place to shower and lay our heads (the beds are too hard). We had close and fairly easy access to places we needed to be. Parking can be very expensive. We had a rental car and used it for a majority of our travels in and around Augsburg. I did not like having to pay 5 euro for (each) exit. Parking lot recommended by the hotel is about a block from the hotel and the elevator was broken.

location, location

I travel around Europe a lot and read a lot of reviews. If you want a large room with a/c, elevators and large bathrooms while getting a a taste of Europe go to Epcot in Orlando. Europe is not like that. For most of us it is about location, price, cleanliness and a comfortable bed. This hotel has those. It is within a 10 min walk to the center of town. It has good restaurants about a block away (turn left out the door and then right one block, turn right again for a good italian one) That being said the rooms are smaller than most, the bathroom is almost comically small but both are clean, modern and functional. It does have an elevator. The price for the location is really good. If going to the Christmas Market don't miss the 6PM angels.

the only thing great about this hotel is the location. it is central to where we needed to go but the rooms are way too small . the bathrooms in an airplane are bigger . i am not a \"big person\" but even i struggle to get in and out of the shower and toilet area .no air-con and we are here in warm weather and i had to ask front desk for an electric fan last night .the beds are comfy but the pillows are not !! person on front desk also serves as bartender so every time i wanted service at the bar a crowd of people would come to check in so i had to wait . the city of augsburg is beautiful but please don't stay here if you want to enjoy your stay .

100 yards from a tram stop, so good location for exploring. The rooms are rather small but are comfortable and clean. Bathroom was tiny but again clean and functional. This hotel is all about location, within walking distance of main station and lots of shops and restaurants.

Hotel is convenient to train station but a long walk from old town. The entrance way is receded from the main walk and there is an old smoke smell at entry from smokers leaving their butts in container right by the door. The room was small, clean and efficient. The free internet access in the lobby was slow and didn't work at all the next day. If you just need a clean place as a stop over while traveling through Augsburg this will do.

The small hotel had a wonderful breakfast and a pleasant staff. Our only problem was in finding the hotel: the map provided on line was extremely misleading. It took nearly an hour of driving around and THREE stops for help in directions to find it. Once found, it was great.
