Very misleading pictures online. The pool and hot tub were vile, cloudy, sediments on the benches in the hot tub. No towels to use, I don’t believe the floor had been mopped ever. The room was filthy. Looked like there was blood on the curtains. We checked in for about 3 hours and left. The walls had very clear areas that were dirty and had not been wiped down. The hallways smelled like smoke, there were odd stains on the stairs. A random wet towel piled in the corner of one stair. Weird vibes from staff. On the room door where the metal reinforcement is, to add extra protection, looked like it had been broken into it. I didn’t even ask for my money back, we just fled.

Upon arrival, we were informed that our room was not ready. We arrived an hour after check in time. The front desk said that they needed 20-30 more minutes. We went back an hour later, we were given the room key, but staff were still cleaning the room. Stay was otherwise fine.

The most disgusting hotel I have stayed at; it was dirty - rooms, hallways, amenities and all, the bathroom door didn’t slide all the way and the toilet paper holder was broken from wall, there’s no hand soap so they leave mini hand sanitizer bottles in the room, the room wasn’t ready when we checked in (at 4pm) and hotel didn’t appear well-maintained. The bed was soft, but I didn’t get much sleep from how uncomfortable I was with the room’s condition.

Placed in a room with double beds instead of the queen beds that we reserved and paid for before we arrived. When we arrived, I inquired about a room upgrade, but I guess it was ironic that they actually downgraded us instead!

... many lights and the fridge as well as coffee maker in the room didn't work. The staff were busy, but friendly and came as quickly as they could to check on the electrical issues. My husband replaced a bulb that they gave us for the room since it was missing. We also noticed that there may have been either a lipstick or fingernail polish party gone bad in room 301 as there were many extra colorful reddish pink markings around the room.

Hot tub was the same tempetature as the pool. One staff told us that it would take several hours and we were under the impression that the pool closed within the hour of them restarting the heating of it. However, my husband said that guests were actually in the pool area around 1am when he went down to the lobby, so they must have allowed them to stay later since the heating issues... or maybe they don't adhere to the 8a-10p pool hours posted. We weren't sure, but they were nice and weren't sticklers about the pool hours or anything.It seemed that as long as there wasn't a problem, they made exceptions.

Elkhart PD visited over protective order... our daughter had a great birthday... we weren't allowed any amount of late checkout...

You get what you pay for and this was adequate for what we wanted for our stay!

There was garbage in the ice bucket, there was a pad in the Kleenex box, there were only 2 towels, when we asked for more the front desk lady was very rude and never brought us any. We had to go to the store and get some towels, the phone was broken and maintenance never came to look at it, the remote didn’t work for the tv. The coffee maker in the room didn’t work instead of water going in the cup it all came out of the bottom all over the counter.

Property is definitely run down in some areas. Elevator was broken for the duration of our stay. Breakfast buffet had some decent options but the juice machine was also broken. Room was clean, but the bed was not the most comfortable and the walls are quite thin. We had to ask for toilet paper, as it wasn't restocked before our arrival. Highlight was the pool and hot tub, though the jets were malfunctioning so they weren't worth using.

Wasn't a leisure trip for us, just a weekend stayover while we finished a favor for some family - can't complain too much with that context. Definitely wouldn't recommend it as vacation lodgings, but if you're just passing through it'll get you by.

They had a “be back in 5 minutes” sign up when we arrived. They were gone WELL over 5 mins. We had to wait an hour for someone to check us in. We had to ring the bell multiple times, at least 5. Then the man who checked us in was rude, like he was upset we were ruining his “me time.” The elevator was broken which made it hard to bring all our items upstairs, & I am disabled. There was makeup on the bedsheets, confetti on our floor, and a sticky substance on our coffee table. There was barely any toilet paper in our room. There were very visible and poorly repaired patches on the bathroom wall in multiple places. The worst part though? Someone actually WALKED INTO OUR ROOM - keyed themselves in - and said “OH I THOUGHT THIS WAS EMPTY.” We checked out before the night was through and will NEVER rent from Sleep Inn in Elkhart again. $112 for ONE night and they couldn’t even bother to give us more than a few sheets of toilet paper - let alone clean the room at all it seems. Horrible Hotel. Do not suggest.

Worst stay I've ever had. Room smelled like nicotine and the front desk clerk came checked it and said it's just the AC that's how it smells like I don't know what nicotine smells like. No room service no cleaning of the room and when I requested towels I was told I would need to bring my dirty towels to them first in order to get clean towels. Needless to say I will never stay there again nor will I ever recommend anybody to stay here again where service ever worse room ever never mind finding a dead roach in the bathroom.

There's not really anything good to say about this hotel. The whole hotel smelled like weed, everything felt dirty, the pool was fine but the hot tub was slightly warm but not hot. The cover on the light in the hot tub was broken and a safety hazard. The elevator certificate expired over a year ago. Breakfast was completely empty and when we asked about it the guy came and put out one thing and wandered away to watch TV again. There were kids yelling and running up and down the hall until past midnight and the staff didn't do anything. The only thing remotely positive was that the beds were comfortable. Definitely would not stay here again and I wouldn't suggest anyone else stay.

The front desk staff did about the bare minimum and was not friendly/hard to understand. The room itself was decent at first glance but was not cleaned well. There was a hole in one of the doors and dust on some shelving. The AC did not work (only the heat), the shower had a couple leaking valves and the tub should be scrubbed to get rid of lime and other marks. I had to ask for shampoo because it was empty in the shower and I asked for the AC to be looked at because the first night it wouldn’t turn on at all. I had to follow up on Day 2 of my stay to go get shampoo because it was not refilled after I asked the first day, and I had to re-plug in the AC to get it to turn on (though it still didn’t work). Overall, it provided a bed for a cheap price but the staff clearly does the bare minimum, if that. The food for breakfast was minimal and looked unpleasant, and no one has vacuumed the hallways in a while it seems.

Our stay was okay. Based on the online pictures and price (ND football weekend) I expected it to be a bit nicer. Our room was clean, but while using the restroom at night, a roach walked across the floor. Also, both stairwells had not been vacuumed in a while. Parts of the hotel have been refinished such as new paint, floor tiles, and carpet, but other areas show their age such as rusty door frames and old bathtubs. Also, sub flooring was not fixed before putting down carpet and tiles. So the floor tiles in our bathroom moved under foot and the hallway didn’t feel solid under the carpeting. The breakfast was okay. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice through the window.

Rooms dirty. There was blood on the wall by the door. Nasty suspicious stain on the comforter. WiFi didn’t work in the room. Found that one of the coffee bags(the one on top) was opened and empty(and yes it was noticeable). There were no lights that went on in the pool area. Got pretty dark in there when the sun went down. Funky smell in the elevator and hallways. They didn’t refresh our towels. Definitely would not recommend.

The staff was helpful, but that is really the only nice thing I have to say about this hotel. There were a number of people loitering outside the doors at all hours, the carpet in the hallways and rooms desperately needed to be vacuumed and cleaned, and our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I did not feel this hotel meets my cleanliness standards, it wasn’t disgusting but was not clean. It was possible to stay for 1 night, but I would not repeat or extend our stay by any means.

The hotel definitely needs a good cleaning and some updating. It was a place to sleep while my teenage daughter went to a music concert at Notre Dame. At check in they didn’t even ask for identification. Just my name and gave me a room key. Curtains were stained. But the room overall was clean. It was expensive for the quality of the hotel, but the location was convenient.

The first room we went to the A\C wasn’t working. The next one was old and the furniture was dilapidated. The shower is a square rather than a bathtub or walk in shower like most have. The only clean place in this hotel was the lobby. Hall ways rooms stairs disgusting. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night even though its supposedly a non smoking hotel. The breakfast area had no one maintaining it and was disgusting. Ice machine broken, and apparently no coffee offered even though there was an empty pot with cups next to it in the lobby. This hotel was one of my worse experiences ever. From check in I knew it was gone be bad. The exterior had people hanging all around and homeless people in cars in parking lot. A guy broke the sliding door cops had to come frist night there. Then there was no toilet paper in room ask the cleaner for some he inspected the room before giving me toilet paper to ensure I wasn’t lying we had 2 towels for 3 people and when I asked for more they asked me to bring the other towels down before getting more towels. Also I had kids with me felt very unsafe with some of the other guest there you could tell lived there people hanging all over Lobby. And my second night there the name questioned me on my room # as if I didn’t pay over $400 to stay there we visit family from out of town so I had 3 of my sisters kids with me and he threaten to call the police on me but didn’t when I explain we are good people pay good money and cause no problems granted we were not in the room all day cause we travel to Michigan to go to the beach and then return to rude threatening and undermining front desk clerk

When we checked in there was hair in the tub drain to start with. When we called the front desk it took an hour and they sent a plumber out to unplug the drain. When we asked for fresh towels they insisted that we bring the old ones back first. They didn't clean the room each day of our 3-day stay. They said that if we wanted housekeeping we needed to call. Then when we asked for fresh towels for the bathroom they again insisted that we bring the dirty ones back first. The hot tub was literally ice cold because the heater was not working. They advertise a hot breakfast but there was absolutely no hot breakfast. There was trash on the floor in the room and in the Commons areas and hallways. Anytime we asked the staff for assistance they were rude. It was a three-day stay that we booked and each day when we came back we had to take our key to the front desk to have it reprogrammed.

I especially reserved for two queen beds and staff made me wait an hour past checkin time to assign me the room despite calling earlier. The room was dirty including the bathroom floors had all dark clay sticking to floors. The bath towels stank. I won't stay here again. I went to eat breakfast at 8:30 AM and couldn't find any staff member at checkin desk because everything was empty and messy in breakfast room. There were other people waiting for same issue for an hour and nobody showed up. It looked like the property was abandoned and the staff left the property.

Check in was very slow, did not check ID to credit card. Went to the room and very musky smelling, air conditioning was not cool. No remote for tv had to go down to the front desk and see about that ( no phone in room to call the desk) went down to the in door pool and it was closed off... after 3 hours they opened it back up and the water was so cold you could nor even swim or relax very disappointed. We had a large jetted bath tub to relax in, but could not do that either because they did not have any drain stoppers. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Went down for breakfast at 8:15am and there was a loaf of bread, 2 yogurts, corn flakes cereal. The attendent said they ran out of eggs, waffle mix, other kids of cereal. Just an overall bad experience. Will NOT be back.

Upon arrival the frint desk male clerk looked at my son and I then walked away without saying a word. After about 5 minutes or so a female comes up clearly frustrated and says she cant help me and the guy should be back soon. After another 5 minutes pass she says \"there are 3 floors so he cojkd be anywhere\" and that she has had a rough day. After her trying to call him for about 10 minutes he finally comes to handle check in. No apologies or anything. We go to the room and its disgusting dirty. The remote was sticky with stuff all over. What appeared to be poop stains on the wall near the bed. Paint chipping everywhere and hair in the shower. We booked this room since it says they have a pool and we'd been driving for days ans wanted to surprise my son. They said the pool has a leak and has been closed for several months. At that point we told them to cancel everything. Expeida contacted them several times and they refused a refund which they should give for theor false advertising and disgusting conditions. This place should be permanently closed. Im furiois we had to waste money on this place. Stay far away from this dirry place staffed with awful people.

I booked this bc it said they had a pool and a hot tub. Upon checking in I was informed they weren’t working. He offered to upgrade me to a suite. Well that was way worse, instead of the two beds I had one bed and a sofa, the sofa bed didn’t have sheets on it and it was the most uncomfortable thing ever. The room had a musty smell we couldn’t get rid off even after spraying air fresheners. Breakfast was very limited and wasn’t replenished after people came and ate. Very limited. Over all it was very disappointing. Also, people slamming doors at 7am and running around was very annoying, not necessarily the hotel’s fault but it added to our experience being worse. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Horrible! We left and haven’t been refunded for cancelled second night. Absolutely disgusting. No light bulbs in lights, stains all over walls and floors, missing ceiling tiles in downstairs hallway with liquid leaking down as you have to walk under it to get through the building. Mold on AC unit.

This place even being open is a joke. I can't believe the health department would even pass their initial inspection. Their hospitality level even sucks.
Let's start on the small things The pillows are small and thin and few. They don't offer many towels for 2 people to use. The lighting in the room wasn't the best. What lamps they had either weren't plugged or didn't have light bulbs. Lamps were also placed in locations not needed or couldn't be plugged in. The room also had a phone but not hooked up with a hole in the wall. The TV wasn't plugged in or have any channels. Now let's talk about cleanliness. Corners of the room weren't swept.The toilet room fan/light seem to be clogged and had brown residue on it. The shower had black soap scummy floors. The temperature knob on shower faucet was broken off. The walls and baseboards in bathroom were nasty. The sink was over all NASTY! It had a mans beard shavings all over the back spash ledge. Under the front lip of the sink counter it had black and brown nasty residue.
The hotel outside of the room.....The ice machine didn't work. The vending machines had very little in it. The amenities offered....pool, sauna, & hot tub closed.
Outside.....I may be being picky at this point but it looked trashy to me. It had the dumpster doors left open with a broken old toilet just sitting there. This is just an opinion. Maybe I'm just picky. I've worked in a hotel and am currently a housekeeper.

The hotel was dirty, the elevator was not in use and the ice machine wasn't working. While trying to sleep the neighboring hotel rooms were loud and people were banging on the walls. Each time I went to the front desk there was noone there.

You get what you pay for. The only things that prevented it from sliding into \"Bad\" were the comfortable bed and hot shower.
I didn't want to remove my shoes as the floor was dirty and desperately needed replacing.
The lobby stinks of weed, cleaning fluid, and something that smells like an old oil deep fry takeout joint.
The room smelled terrible, and I felt dirty by association, staying there.

The staff was very friendly. I had a comfortable and good nights rest on a clean mattress with no issues in the room. I see they are working on a few updates and also we could not use the fitness center but it looks like they are working on it.
