A great room with kitchenette but the best part was the bed. I haven’t slept so well on the road in years. Everything was clean and it’s located in a busy area. The staff was professional and nice which is obviously a huge plus.

We came for a Notre Dame fotball game. Not colse to the school but not a long drive neither. It was nice to be a little bit away. The room was clean and comfortable with a full stocked kitchen. I will definitely stay here again.

Staff was very nice and helpful. We were assigned a room that was obviously used by people with pets. It smelled pretty bad. Staff came and sprayed and did their best to help. It stilled smelled when we returned from dinner later that night and then when we returned the next evening too. Would suggest letting people choose if they would be ok with a pet room. To us, it was similar to having stayed in a smoking room. We would not have chosen it. But the hotel and our room was very clean otherwise. Walkable to bar/restaurants.

They did not have any pet friendly rooms which are on the first floor. They allowed us to stay on the second floor room but at double the pet fee. I have not had this problem at other Candlewood properties. Also the parking lot was dark and some unkempt men were loitering by the hotel. And there were rust stains on the bath tub. The front staff wrote down all of the information on my drivers license which no hotel staff have ever done. I would not return to this hotel. There are at least 5 hotels within walking distance.

We had a reservation and went to check in (after the concert we attended that we were in town for), and they had given away our room and said the hotel was full. What good was having the reservation if they were just going to give our rooms away to the first come first serve?

This place is weird. Very dull staff. TV in room doesn’t work and everything is on motion sensor in the room. So if you are reading a book in the chair and don’t move for a while, the lights go out. Then you have to wave your arms around awkwardly to get them back on. That was annoying. The AC also on motion sensor so you wake up in the middle of the night multiple times sweating because the AC shut down. I’ve stayed at Candlewood’s in Bellevue NE and Ft. Wayne IN that were awesome. But this one in Elkhart IN just sucks.

The working staff is very nice. The kitchen has a full sized fridge, small sink, garbage disposal, toaster, colander, microwave oven and a 2 burner flat cooktop (that was difficult to operate). Otherwise, the facility itself disappointing. The lighting was poor. The water was tepid (uncomfortable showers), there was a small desk for eating and just one chair (a request for an additional chair was denied). One of us could only eat at the table at a time. The room thermostat would turn off when we were sleeping, so we would wake up sweaty. The 31\" TV had only local channels and shopping networks, no news, weather or movie channels. See that picture of the washers and dryers - none of them worked and they weren't serviced for the 4 days we were there. The rooms were never cleaned and we had to restock toilet paper ourselves.

Because our business concluded 2 days early, we checked out after 4 days. Expedia promised a $287 refund, which we have yet to receive. We've been using Expedia since it was owned by Microsoft. Expedia's support has been sub-optimal.

Used to be better…

Once upon a time this was a nice, clean and convenient place to stay. Those were the days. The bed was old and very uncomfortable. I needed to do laundry, however that and the weight room were unavailable for my entire stay due to some open-ended renovation that has obviously been going on for quite some time. I’ve stayed at this location before, and the decline in the overall facilities over the past few years is very evident.

Not worth the money

Worst hotel stay ever. The picture of the room online looked nothing like the room we were given. There was no hair dryer.

They placed us in a room in the center of their renovations. Loud demolition noise started the morning after we arrived in the four rooms that surrounded us at 9 am and continued until 5pm each day. We had to excuse the noise as we tried to hear the Zoom calls we were on. It made working difficult and relaxing impossible.

We checked out early and I’m glad we did! I packed up and walked through clouds of paint fumes in the rooms surrounding ours.

The microwave only worked occasionally and the kitchen supplies were very meager. I asked a member of staff to come and look at the microwave. They found nothing wrong(since it worked briefly) but one staff member entered the room mask less even though we asked her not to. She simply said, “I’m vaccinated” and pushed past. (We wore masks) The ice machine worked but some of the ice has bits of plastic in it, so we turned it off.

Construction workers made up the majority of the guests and security was lacking. The men often propped open the side door in the evening and the front desk was empty most of the time we were there. Signs on the front door said the entrances were locked after 10pm but we didn’t find this to be true.

Definitely not worth the money we paid to stay.

Hotel was not priced high at any stretch, but imo, it was far dumpier than the cost. On check in, we were given a credit card key. When it didn't work, we went back to front desk and they said ...yeah...that door doesn't work. She walked down and opened the door with her own key and told us if we get locked out, to see the front desk. Since the hotel was not full, i found that odd. TV in room was in poor shape.

Booking this hotel through Hotels.com was a bad idea. The hotel, which is pet friendly, did not honor the rate listed AND PAID, and they charged me an extra $85 because the rooms we were assigned were not pet rooms even though we noted it in the reservation notes. On top of that, there was a group of people, including the person working maid service and front desk duties, drinking and partying in the parking lot until late in the night. Bottles were left in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, room was humid with strong musty odour. Bathroom light switch plate was soiled with smeared mucus. Air conditioner blows directly up into curtain when drawn closed preventing air circulation into room.

Beds are comfortable and linens are soft and clean. Kitchenette with full size fridge is a bonus and well maintained. Bathroom was clean with plenty of good quality towels.

Front desk staff were cheerful and helpful. Price is reasonable for location and quality.

Hotel is super nice and super convenient. Rooms are spacious with a kitchen and a large bath. Beds are comfortable. The only thing that bothered me about this stay, was that there were approximately 20 constructions worker staying there as well. They were all staying on the 3rd floor. I was on the 2nd and the person staying above was soooooo loud. He stomped when he walked and I knew exactly where he was at every time he was in room, so every morning at 5 am I was awaken by him stomping and dropping stuff on the floor untill 6 am when he left for work. They also hung out in the parking lot listening to loud music and drinking beer. So it wasn’t quite unfortunately. It sucked for me because I just driven a thousand miles from Texas and was hoping for some good sleep and that didn’t happen for the 3 days that I was there

We booked online with ORBITZ. Walked in the door and gave receptionist my name. Receptionist handed me the keys-( cards). Every thing was good. On Monday my wife checked bank account, motel drew 25.00 dollars more out of the account. Waiting to see if they replace it. We used nothing but the shower and the bed..... We'll see

Nice hotel. Easy to get to. The guest washer and driers could use upgraded. One of the washing machines would fill with water for a minute then shut off. I had to move my laundry to another washing machine. The other machine was out of order. It took over two hours to try to dry my clothes. Finally gave up and took them back to my room to hang them up to finish drying them. Other then that it was a descent hotel.

The only disappointment was the check-in process, it took a ridiculous amount of time for the front desk clerk to click about 3 dozen things on her computer screen for each person to check in. Please emulate how every other hotel does it and have everything ready to go when people arrive, it should take 30 secs max !!

My husband loved the full sized refrigerator. I don't like the weekly room cleaning rather than the daily service in a normal hotel. But it was painless to exchange our used towels.

Recommended for an extended stay or one night but be aware if you're staying for a few days.
