Good place to stay with family. Nice to have a kitchen although it´s basic but will do for a short stay. I don´t believe there is an elevator so getting in with bags may be a challenge for some.
I have stayed here a couple of times and each time I see construction, although not too noisy. Nice to see they are always updating.
It´s not in the city center but not far away. There are still nice cafés and restaurants around.

The ropm was spacious and comfortable, they have a pool although small for the amount of rooms they have.
Breakfast is good, but basic, not many fresh options.
We had to beg almost for toulet paper as they didnt put a new one when they did the room.
Staff was nice and hard working.
The location is really good, close to shops and restaurants.

The apartment was not at all as pictured. Most of the furniture was in bad shape, the (tiny) shower had rust spots all over, the toilet wasnt attached to the floor (made a huge noise every time someone sat on it), and the worst part: the heating system produced an intense gas smell that made it unbearable to breathe (had to open the sliding door overnight..we preferred to be cold than to get a headache or maybe something worse?)…we felt the gas smell as soon as we entered the apartment and when I brought it up the girl at the reception desk said “you’ll be ok, if there was a gas leak the detector would beep”…needles to say they were neither friendly nor helpful. Luckily we stayed there only two nights. I would not stay there again.

Worst experience ever!

They charged me IVA even though I am American. I arrived late night and gave the receptionist my American Passport and Argentine ID but she took my Argentine ID only so the next day that was their arguement—they only have an Argentine id on file so I must pay taxes (US$50 !). They also wanted to charge me 100% more for paying for parking with my credit card and not cash. The hotel is incredibly over priced for what it is. They don’t even have elevators and I had to drag all my luggage up stairs to the third floor. Breakfast is horrible—just bread, oranges and small tasteless croissants. Never ever going there again. The people who work there are incompetent and irresponsible—worst customer service ever.

We had a nice room overlooking the pool. The kitchen was very tiny and had adequate cutlery and plates etc but no coffee maker which is normally a standard even in a small kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size with a bathtub. The breakfast served every morning was very basic with sometimes fruit or not. One choice of cereal and all the pastries were sweet. The pool area was very nice and a nice pool.
We did have a problem the last two days that we had no water it just dried up so no water to wash or shower. The hotel desk staff said it would be fixed in 5 or 10 minutes every time it happened which was about 4 times in 2 days. We bought extra water in case we needed it. Overall though this was a pleasant place to stay. Front desk staff was very helpful when recommending restaurants and for directions.

Good value and the location is c. 20 minutes walk to the main plaza. Staff friendly and helpful. Apartment pretty well set up for 2 people. We also had a balcony over the busy main road. We did feel we had to thoroughly clean the kitchen etc though before being 100% comfortable in the apartment.

The \" restaurant \" doesn't belong to the hotel, at least they say so to charge you in cash, because the \"system\" was down...don't believe. The odor when we arrive we terrible, the air conditioner didn't get the main room and when we leave the AC on the morning to have the room cool during the night, we found OFF Because they turned off..the wifi was terrible, slow and inestable... I couldn't download my TOMTOM app because the speed. Finally, my son's bed was broke and the blankets were like sandpaper ... nice picture on their profile...but not good rated. I recommend this hotel just to sleep, but be aware of the temperature at nigh during the summer time. This is 2 star hotel,not 3

We were expected at this hotel yet our room did not have the air conditioning turned on. The air conditioning unit was in the living room. After an hour it was still very warm in the living room. The bedroom would not have been comfortable when we were ready for bed , if ever. The wifi did not work.

The staff brought an extra AC unit and said a tech person might have the wifi fixed in another hour. We were suffering in the heat. We left and went to Hotel Diplomatic. It was a bit more expensive but so much more comfortable from the moment we checked in.

The staff at the front desk are extremely helpful and make every effort to accommodate your needs. Breakfast is basic: bread and marmelade. Rooms are ok. Pool area small and no decent sun chairs. Staff is definitely the best part of the hotel and therefore would stay again!

This is a nice hotel if you need a good size room and a bit more quiet location. Some of the staff was friendly and helpful, but all were polite. There was NO mention of construction, which started at 8 am in the room next door and not changing the room was unacceptable. There was rarely if ever any WIFI service available. \"Breakfast\" included is only coffee, juice and a basket of breads.

Basically I had to get out of Chile in order to renew my tourist visa. The route to Mendoza is a beautiful bus ride and Mendoza itself is a very nice place to visit. I didn't want to spend to much money and got this room through an online hotel website. The room was nice enough and gave me enough room to spread out, which is crucial. Hate those cramped little hotel rooms. The cooking facilities were weak but I didn't want to cook anyway. A dinning room table allowed me to eat from the hotel restaurant or leftovers from one of the great steakhouses. This place isn't high end but for the price I found it to be real nice. Walking distance to everything, restaurants, grocery stores, and the really nice walkable park. I would recommend it to anyone. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. I paid the extra for breakfast and found that pleasant as well, especially the black coffee.The neighborhood is quaint and quiet not like some where the nightlife never ends. Enjoy, I did.

Pleasant Stay in Mendoza

Soltigua was a pleasant surprise. I smiled every time I walked into the apartment because it seemed that they went out of there way to freshen it up. The hotel is located in an residential/commercial area, and walking distance to a nice park and most places of note in Mendoza (then again, Mendoza is quite small). Staff were friendly and helpful as well, which helped.

Nice aparthotel just off central Mendoza

We arrived on Sunday when nothing is going on at all about town. Unfortunately the hotel does not have any lifts and we were on the top floor, so three floors of lifting bags.

The room though was extremely spacious with all the necessary kitchen necessities, we could not work the oven and the front desk were able to come demonstrate this to us. The loft in this 2 room apartment was extremely warm as the heat pooled in the top, however the heating was constantly needed for the bottom so it was tough to cool down this area.

We stayed 3 nights in the room closest to the road. This was very noisy and i needed earplugs to sleep.
There was a stovetop to cook on but a sign up stating no steak to be cooked. There were very limited kitchen utensils. The heater didnt keep up with the cold and we were instructed to turn it off when we went to bed.
Shower was too close to toilet. Always wet the toilet seat during a shower despite the shower curtain being drawn.
There were no elevators so dragging 25kg bags up to the third floor was challenging.
Staff were very friendly and helpful with good english.

Hotels.com has poor customer service

The hotel is a fair walk from most interesting areas of Mendoza. The wifi was intermittent and weak. The rooms were clean and large but fairly basic. Overall not the best value for money.

Our experience with this hotel was negative overall mostly due to a lack of customer service on behalf of hotels.com and no flexibility from the reception at Soltigua. We wanted to book a triple suite for three people for two nights (preferably 2 rooms for 3 people) but due to some confusion ended up with two triple rooms. We only discovered this when we tried to check in as we hadn't had internet access for a couple days leading up to our stay. At that point the hotel said they could not change our reservation due to hotels.com policy. When we called hotels.com to see if they would offer us any options the answer was a firm no. So we were stuck overpaying for two rooms and offered no flexible solutions or any sort of customer service.

Outstanding bargain with a cafe bonus

This hotel is an outstanding bargain. While a bit spare, the rooms have modern baths and kitchenettes and comfy beds. Hotel staff are welcoming and helpful, and the walk into el centro (around 10 blocks) through the beautiful streets of Mendoza is energizing. The bonus is the cafe that is part of the hotel, with indoor and outdoor seating and excellent food. Was impressed enough to stay here a second night at the end of my stay in the area.

We needed a room to sleep 4 and thought we would have to sleep 2 to a bed but they had a room w 4 comfortable twin beds. The hotel and room were very clean and the staff was wonderful. We checked in the hotel around 2am. The front desk clerk made sure we got into the room and helped w how to park my car. The next morning we had a flat tire and again the hotel front dest clerk went above and beyond to help us contact rental car company and get tire changed. We will stay here again.

This is a very good hotel for the money--walkable to good restaurants, and downtown. The staff was exceptionally helpful. The breakfast-just OK. Staff were helpful and friendly! They were helpful with organizing tours etc which were great fun! The rooms were clean! Location was OK! However the room for the price paid was pathetic! It was small and uncomfortable!

It was basically a bed and breakfast without the complimentary breakfast, at a premium price! (The room did have a fridge though).

The word “cheap” comes to mind with this hotel. The soap and shampoo were measured to the nearest millimeter. The room had a kettle, but no tea or coffee! The hotel did have its own cafe. Coincidently, we were offered a breakfast option which worked out to be a few dollars a day when we first arrived at the hotel.

I completely understand that the purpose of a hotel is to make money. However it felt that they were more concerned about saving a dollar rather than providing a good service. It only cost us a few dollars to buy tea, coffee and shampoo from the supermarket. But that is not the point! Put it this way, this is the only hotel that I have ever been to that has not provided tea and/or coffee! I think that says it all!

From the moment of our arrival, being greeting with smiling faces, to the time we left, we could not fault this place. Easy to find, very clean, comfortable, spacious accommodation. Comfortable bed with good quality linens, fluffy white towels in the small bathroom, but as much hot water as you could wish for. Small kitchenette, electric hot plate, kettle, microwave and standard size fridge make it easy to cook your own meals, but eating out is so cheap, if you are on vacation, why would you want to cook? reception staff are very helpful with local advice, directions, etc., and will book excursions, though you may find them cheaper with tour operators in the town. Close enough to walk to most of the tourist attractions. Hotel restaurant serves a reasonable steak in the evening, usually on a promo, and serves breakfast from 07.30, either inside or out on the pavement. The only downside is the pool - not really large or deep enough to have a proper swim, but good enough for a cool down on a hot day. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone withy hesitation.

Location is quite far from the actual city but there are plenty of good restaurants near by and it means you are out of the hustle a bit - this suited us and the nice weather meant it was a pleasant walk in. Stayed in this aparthotel for 3 nights. It´s a short walk from the microcenter and a 5 min walk to the Bar?s street, it's an enjoyable walk along the neighbourhood!
From check in the gentleman on reception was great and throughout our stay staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome. They were kind enough to sort out car hire and taxis into the mall.
The aparthotel is extremely clean, smelt clean and it is well maintained! The room are a nice size, air con worked well in the room, a nice bathroom with powerful shower! Hair dryer and a fridge in the room, which are great. Tasty breakfast. Would recommend it for it's location and the attentiveness of its staff,perfect for a relaxing holiday but close enough to all the action. A great value for money!

Have no idea how anyone could complain about this aparthotel. I stayed here for 3 nights and it was excellent value especially with the size of room, location, kitchen and breakfast. Room was very quiet and extremely clean.

The location was excellent it was walking distance to many sight seeing attractions including the microcenter. The room was very nice (large and clean) and the kitchenette was a major bonus for a quick snack or light lunch. The staff were very nice to us and service was pleasant as well.

We felt safe in the area at night , 5 minute walk to main restaurants area and microcenter.

Fantastic value for money, good location, extremely spacious, nice, modern furniture and very clean. Soltigua is a place with apartments, that offers a hotel service with breakfast, daily cleaning and a very friendly english speaking staff 24 hours daily. The hotel itself is ideally located. I will definately be back, and I will recommend it.

Disappointing

Our room was on the front so overlooked the main road and the hotel's cafe. This meant it was often noisy (people seem to start breakfast very very early, the dining late was to be expected) and if we opened the balcony doors we got smoke in the room from the smokers on the pavement downstairs. I think our room was probably in need of an upgrade, bedding was old and dated etc. This place is fine for a bunch of students or someone wanting a medium-long stay but not what we'd expected from other reviews. The man in the cafe doing breakfast was super friendly.

Great location!!!

Great location, very close to many tourist attractions. There were many shops, cafes and restaurants in easy walking distance. The apartment was modern and very clean. Nice pool area. Staff was very helpful and very friendly. Would definitely recommend it.Thank you for the great stay!

Soltigua Apartment Hotel, Mendoza

This hotel worked for us as we were in town for 8 days with a large group for a family function recently. The rooms at the front of the hotel were noisy and we asked to be moved to a room at the back of the property away from the road noise, and we were promptly accomodated. The area around the hotel was a little run down and scuffy, but safe. The busier downtown area was only a 10 to 15 minute walk away.
The weather was unseasonably cool during most of our stay and the pool got progressively greener. A worker was cleaning it one day , but it may have been the end of pool season as Fall was approaching in the Southern hemisphere.
The hotel did not have irons in the room or any available at the front desk. The front desk staff were polite and helpful in ordering cabs and arranging tours.

Hotel is just fine. Pictures are a bit fooling. Swimming pool is not heated and feels cold. Neighbors are very noisy (drums at 1:00 AM). Hotel is NOT close to the center. Not much shop and activities around. No basic salt/pepper,... for cooking. Very limited cookware. Beds in family suites not very comfortable. Bottom line : Clean but overpriced.

Rooms vary in size, and can get pretty noisy

The hotel is modern and the rooms are relatively clean (apart from the floor that made our feet black and a piece of dirty cloth left by the maintenance). Our first room was pretty spacious, but upon extending our reservation we were moved to a much smaller room. The biggest con is that the nights were very noisy. In one room there was a noise from the cafe outside and in the other room it was even worst, as people were partying in their rooms until very late.I liked that they had baby cribs, which was uncommon in Argentina. The location is good, but it takes about 10-15 min to walk to the very center. The front desk service was nice.

Better than expected

Staff very friendly, especially Alberto and Alejandro. Overall, hotel was much better than I would have ever thought. About a 10 to 15 min walk to Av Villanueva Arístides, where the nightlife is. Definitely recommend going there one night if you can. Remember that most in Argentina dont go out to eat till around 9 pm, Mendoza seems to be even later.
Also about a 15 to 20 min walk to Plaza Independencia. So if you dont like to walk much, this is not the place for you. Definitely due a tour to Valle de Uco, and go to bodegas Salentine, Andeluna and Azul.

We recently stayed at the Soltigua and our stay at this perfectly-located hotel helped us make the most of our time. It is located on a peaceful residential area within walking distance of shops and restaurants in downtown. It is very quiet and we slept very well. The staff were very kind and professional in every way. Free and delicious breakfast was offered, too. The apartment was large, quiet and very clean. No doubt it is a great hotel for visiting Mendoza, highly recommended

This was my 1st visit to Mendoza and I stayed in one of their spacious apartment with a balcony, the same my friends. The location is great, not far from downtown, but in a quiet residencial area. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The bed was quite comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend this for short or long-term visits to Mendoza when an apartment with a kitchen is more appealing than a hotel room.

The reception area is nice and clean. The rooms were clean when we arrived but not well cleaned during our stay. The size of the room was good for three people. They changed money at the front desk which was very helpful. We constantly had to request additional towels (three people in room and they would leave 2) and toilet paper. The room was VERY noisy. The walls were thin and awoke two mornings from baby crying in adjacent room. Two other mornings were awoken in the twilight hours by drunk people returning home. The outside access to the rooms acts like an echo chamber so all noise is extra loud. The noise is even worse in the living room (where bed #3 is) than in the bedroom. We ended up putting the mattress from the living room on the floor of the bedroom for the last two night. We didn't get the breakfast (coffee and Croissant) There's a gas station a block down with good coffee and nice sandwich for breakfast that was just as cheap and way more satisfying. The staff was friendly and helpful for the most part but wouldn't rely on them for anything that requires follow-up. The front desk person called our tour company to cancel a tour. No answered. As we were on our way out for the day we asked if he'd try them again and cancel for us. He agreed. Unfortunately the tour was not canceled and the company arrived to pick us up for the tour and we were gone. If I went back I'd try a different hotel.

Can't Beat the Location and Service

My son and I stayed at the Soltigua during a visit to Mendoza last week. We had never visited this city before and chose this hotel based on the reviews from TripAdvisor. It was a fantastic choice. The apartment was perfect, very spacious with a clean and modern design. The staff was better imposible, friendly, and provided insightful advice on places to visit. What is more, they seemed genuinely proud and happy to welcome visitors to their hotel and city. Not to mention, the location is absolutely perfect. A great value.

A Perfect Hotel...

We stayed there with my wife. We had a two room suite with a separate living area and bedroom. There was a fridge and microwave in the kitchen. The hotel is new, quite beautiful, extremely clean and very modern. The staff is courteous and friendly. Great location.

I would highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure ... We had a wonderful time.

It beat our expectations for the price

We stayed at this hotel twice for three nights each time. We had no idea what to expect, but this one was great for the money. It was clean, spartan, but very comfortable (no carpets or fancy). Though we did not cook anything on our own, both apartments we staying it had all we would have needed to do some of our own food preparation and eating in. The staff, a few of which spoke very limited English, while we spoke no Spanish, was very helpful and did their best to please us. If we were ever to visit Mendoza again, you can be assured that here is where we would attempt to make reservations.

rooms could be cleaner. Only if somebody accept rests in room of peoples they had been there before.
The manager could demonstrate more
professionality in front of clients.
All recommandations we readed made to much compliments.
The true is that prime materials are third quality.
Breakfast let miss quality.
Look at a 5 star Hotel in the same place, you could reach much better service and quality for some more Dollars more, because this hotel is not to consider as real oportunity.

Bad location, bad showers, extremely basic

The showers were horrible as is not really a shower, is the same bathroom that get all wet as the shower is sitting right next to it. There is no TV, no mini-bar, no restaurant, the lighting in the room is pretty bad, is badly located and if rains the road get very but very messy. Yes, is true that the guy that manage the hotel is very nice, but that doesnt really make it up for the bad locatrion and the clears limitatios of tis 'hotel'.

Nice Clean Apartment

The ApartHotel is a apartment building converted to Hotel. Is relatively far away from the Bus Terminal or Downtown but very close to Mendoza's fabulous Parque san Martin. The rooms are very large and have a full kitchen a dining table and chairs. Beds were a bit hard but OK. Has A/.C and heating provided by a powerful gas stove. The pool is not heated. Wireless Internet is free. Breakfast is simple, cafe con leche, medialunas, butter and dulce de leche but OK. They are stingy on the OJ. reception desk staff is friendly.

A Great Hotel Value in Mendoza, Argentina .

The hotel room was more like a small efficiency apartment and the furnishings are modern but \"bare bones\". Bed, two chairs, table, TV etc...The kitchen area (which is part of the room) is well equipped for someone who really wanted to cook anything during their stay.
The bathroom was small, shower only, but was adequate and included a bidet and hairdryer. There virtually is no storage space or shelves to put any toiletries.(They could easily put up a couple of shelves in the bathroom).
The complimentary continential breakast was very good and the service in the small dining room was sit down and not just a buffet. Breakfast consisted of just juice, coffee (which Argentine coffee is very good), medialunas (sugared croissants) and toast.
The hotel was located in a more upscale area toward the outskirts of Mendoza, but very close to the large San Martin Parque, which is popular. The central downtown areas, which is close to several plazas is almost \"walkable\" but easily accessible and inexpensive by taxi. (Several times, we ended up walking during the day down Sarmiento or Villanueva to eat, but took a taxi back to the hotel if it was very late at night).
I can easily recommend the hotel and discovered other pluses after having stayed there and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
