We recently stayed at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres from April 30 to May 10 for our wedding, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations.

Our wedding day on May 5 was absolutely perfect, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible wedding planner, Ivette. She made sure every detail was handled flawlessly, kept everything organized and stress-free, and truly went above and beyond to make our day special. We could not have asked for a better planner.

We also want to give a special thank you to our photographer, Ana. She made the day feel so natural and memorable, and her energy and professionalism helped make the experience even more meaningful. We absolutely loved working with her.

At our reception, Ivan, our bartender, was phenomenal. He was hands down one of the best bartenders we have ever had. Not only were the drinks excellent, but his service, personality, and professionalism impressed every single guest at our wedding.

We also had an amazing dining experience during our stay. Bolgar at the teppanyaki restaurant provided incredible service and made the dinner so much fun and enjoyable. Abimeal at the Mexican restaurant was also an outstanding server who made us feel very welcome and taken care of.

Overall, the resort, staff, service, and wedding experience were unforgettable. Thank you to everyone at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres for helping create memories that we will cherish forever. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone considering

We returned to Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres this year to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday, and once again this resort exceeded our expectations.
We spent a long time choosing both the country and the hotel for this special trip, but in the end we decided to come back here because our previous stay had been such a wonderful experience. It truly felt like coming back to a place where people genuinely care about their guests.
I would especially like to mention Silvia, who leads the stretching class every morning at 10 AM. She is absolutely amazing — full of positive energy and professionalism, and she made our mornings so enjoyable.
A very special thank you also goes to Krystel from Guest Service, who did everything possible to make my husband’s birthday unforgettable. Her kindness, attention, and care meant so much to us.
Every employee at this resort works hard to make guests feel relaxed and comfortable. The rooms were always spotless, the minibar was consistently stocked, and the service throughout the resort was excellent.
We left with so much gratitude for the entire team. The people working at this resort are the reason guests want to return again and again.

The Majestic Elegance was a beautiful place to stay. The staff was amazing and made our honeymoon so special. We recommend eating at the Bistro 9 Doors as they had the best food. We also recommend checking out their sister hotel that you can access right next door as there seemed to be more actives going on since it’s more catered to families. If you are able to get club access, we definitely recommend it as it was worth the upgrade for us. Lastly, we had such a relaxing time at the spa we recommend if you get a chance to stop buy it’s well worth the money.

We had an amazing time most of the staff would go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The butlers seemed a bit too overworked and hard to reach at times. Excellent, excellent attentiveness to food allergies and dietary restrictions when requested. I felt much more comfortable eating in the restaurants than at most places I have visited, at home (vancouver Canada) or abroad.

Majestic Elegance was amazing!! We got married there, and the staff on all fronts went to great lengths to make sure that our stay was excellent!! The restaurant choices, drinks, and ALL amenities were great!! Our rooftop, plunge pool room was spacious and amazing. The club benefits are top tier!! We had an amazing stay at this resort and would absolutely come back! The property is beautifully laid out—spacious and never felt crowded, yet still very easy to get around, which made everything super convenient.

The food exceeded our expectations with a huge variety of options. While a couple of the buffets were just okay, there were so many great choices that we always found something we loved.

What truly made this trip stand out was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, always going out of their way to make sure we were having a great time. A special shoutout to Enrique and Eduardo at the Lively pool bar and Mana from the entertainment team—they brought such great energy every day and made the experience so fun and memorable!

The resort was spotless and very well-maintained, and there was truly something for everyone. The entertainment was fantastic for all ages, which made it perfect for our group.

Also, working with Go Majestic for transportation and excursions was incredibly easy and seamless, which took a lot of stress out of planning.

Overall, this was such a fun, relaxing, and memorable trip—we can’t wait to come back!

A great hotel with great staff! Food at the buffets was delicious with a good variety. The staff also make the Majestic Elegance an amazing hotel to stay at. Special thanks to the animation team for the fun, entertaining events that they work so hard on putting together. Krystel from guest services looked after us during our stay with check ins every day to see if we needed anything and provided us the list of events for the day. Pao and Mana from the animation team taught us some Spanish and were very friendly. The bartenders were also fantastic with the drinks they made. My family and I will be back.

The airport is very busy, and the directions for the pickup meet spot were not clear, but we found them by talking to another MTS rep. What they should do is simply tell you to exit the airport and go to taxi stand 51, instead of look for someone in kaki pants and a pink shirt which is very difficult in the confusion outside of the terminal.

Outstanding service and attention to detail

Our stay was exceptional from start to finish. As frequent travelers who don’t typically choose all-inclusive resorts, we were genuinely impressed by the quality, service, and attention to detail.

The resort is beautiful and very well maintained, and we especially loved the bracelet key system—it made everything simple and stress-free. Communication was also excellent throughout, with staff speaking great English, which made the experience seamless for both of us.

What truly made the difference was the staff. Jesús (concierge) was outstanding and made our stay incredibly relaxing with thoughtful, personalized touches. The food concierge team—Alvaro, Sebastian, and Ruth went above and beyond managing allergies and even customizing dishes so we could fully enjoy the menu.

We also had wonderful experiences with Martin and Paris (Il Botacio), Xiunel and Aide (Mar House), and a fantastic Teppanyaki dinner thanks to Elias and Bogart. Paola (yoga) brought great energy, and Kevin and Jhonathan (pool service) were consistently attentive and friendly.

Their efforts truly made our stay memorable. We highly recommend this resort and would gladly return.

Food variety is offered since they have 6 to 7 restaurants inside the hotel. The best options are those who required advance reservations. Just make sure you bring proper footwear if you are going to these restaurants since flip flops or beach wear are not allowed.

Your designated butler will be happy to assist you on arrival, especially if you have WhatsApp on your phone, providing you with schedules, restaurant options, and other comforts.

For airport to hotel or vice versa transportation, you can book a shuttle through the hotel or online via Cancun Shuttle. I recommend the latter, as I saved about $70. Don't forget to have smaller bills for tips and other expenses.

Pool side setting was comfy, i enjoyed the pool. Room was clean, however the jacuzzi upstairs in my room was not clean, did not use even though i paid for it. The resort is only 7 years old, but put on your glasses and look carefully and there is a lot of wear and tear - broken railings, missing room numbers, chipped paint (or shoddily repainted spots). The gym equipment was in need of massive maintenance, too, with some exercises not doable due to the shape of equipement. The food varied and was generally pretty good. (Tip: the seafood place near the beach has better steak than the steak house). The staff were generally wonderful. My biggest gripe was the lack of a coffee shop - I was directed to the lobby bar for coffee. Their sister resort next door has this figured out - they have a wonderful little coffee shop with coffee and pastries and ice cream open from 7am to midnight. We went there a couple of times before we were told by security that we were not welcome to enjoy the amenities next door (despite the resort being \"Majestic\" and there being no fence or sign along the beach). The roof-top pool rooms were amazing - easily a highlight for us. Overall 7/10, not terrible but would not return.

Stayed in the adults only \"elegance\" area for 7 nights. Melissa, our butler, was wonderful. Very communicative with all the goings on around the resort, telling us which restaurants were open/closed, offering to make reservations for us, even popping up to our room while we were at dinner for our nightly aromatherapy scent...a very nice extra touch. Room was clean, big, and well appointed. No issues at all. Staff make it stand out as a great place to go. Food was well above average compared to the 6+ other all inclusives we've stayed at in Mexico.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Majestic Ellegance. We had Krystel from guest services who helped us out and who really went above and beyond to help make sure our stay was perfect and we got amazing service. We had a couple issues with our room and as soon as I told her she promptly had them resolved.

Food and drinks were good. I had read some reviews that said overwise but we found all the restaurants to be really good. The buffet was very similar every day for breakfast and lunches. We never did the buffet for dinner. The bars were stocked with premium liquors and good wine so we were able to get whatever drinks we wanted which was nice.

Beach was great. The waters are calm here and the seaweed was cleaned up daily which made it really enjoyable to swim.

Kid friendly, our kids are young so we didn’t use the kids or teen clubs but they had daily activities beside the pool that our 3 year old loved.

Beach was amazing. Resort was very modern and beautiful. Food was good (not spectacular) and staff were friendly and helpful. One downside was the \"butler\" experience. 2 butlers were assigned to us and neither one even tried to meet us during our week. One wanted to\"say hello\" on our last day, I assume to collect a tip for sending a Whattsapp message each day to simply say she was there. Also, the adult only pool area was always full of ants. I never saw anyone hosing the spilled sugary drinks from the pool deck at any point during the week and I would use bottles water to soak the area around my chairs to deter the ants. There was also black mold in the grout lines of the pool and I never saw anyone clean the pool all week which makes me suspect deficiencies in other areas of cleaning. Entertainment was ok. The best entertainment was the live band that plays for short periods in the main square after the theatre shows. Wish there was more of that. For the price I expected a bit higher level experience but if you are a beach person you will not be disappointed.

We stayed at Majestic elegance for one week with my wife and our 4 year old son. The resort is amazing, always clean, staff are all very friendly and make you feel welcomed all over the resort. The selection and variety of food is amazing with lots of restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed the daily and nightly entertainment and there was always something to do with our little guy. Big thank you to all the staff and we highly recommend this resort for anyone that values good food and amazing service. Special thank you to Krystel for making our stay feel special and catering to all of our needs. She was amazing and a great person. She takes pride in her job and ensuring we were happy daily.

We had a great time during our stay here! A few things that would have made it exceptional would have been; a better Ac unit in the room, better quality food at the buffet, and scheduled room cleaning. To start the ac unit did work in our room just not very well. We had a hard time cooling the room off enough to sleep. Most nights we slept with no blankets due to poor cooling. The buffet has a ton of options but most isn’t worth trying. With the exception of some basic options I’d recommend sticking to the other restaurants which had great food. The last thing that would have been icing in the cake is schedule room cleaning because several times we would come back to the room being cleaned or they hadn’t been yet so we didn’t feel comfortable staying in our room. I only had one person from the staff I didn’t care for. Every other person went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience. The beach was full of seaweed but not much could be done about that. The pool was great but there’s only two small pools for the whole family side which at times felt crowded. The views are excellent and we enjoyed being on the top floor with roof jacuzzi. Overall a very fun experience.

El hotel está bien para su precio, pero deja mucho que desear en temas de servicio. Particularmente el personal de recepción atiende de manera muy antipática, sin ganas de darle la bienvenida a los huéspedes, dejando una pésima primera impresión. No nos explicaron prácticamente nada del lugar: horarios, restaurantes, actividades, la app, etc. Tuvimos nosotros que preguntar todo para obtener la información. Nos atendieron tres personas diferentes en recepción y pareciera que a todos les indican hablar sin ganas. Además, se siente una marcada diferencia en el trato hacia los mexicanos comparado con los extranjeros y los huéspedes del \"Elegance Club\" en todos lados menos en los restaurantes.

A las instalaciones les hace falta mantenimiento y limpieza. Los elevadores tienen dañados los botones y en las habitaciones muy pocos de los enchufes funcionan.

La mejor comida la encuentras en el restaurante buffet Flavors, los restaurantes de especialidad no tienen nada de especial en cuanto a los platillos aunque sí están decorados de acuerdo a la temática.

Mi esposa y yo estábamos celebrando nuestro primer aniversario, cosa que confirmamos tanto en el pre check in como en el check in cuando nos preguntaron. Sin embargo, resulta extraño que te pregunten si celebran una ocasión especial y no te dejen un detalle en la habitación. No fue sino hasta contactar con Kristel de Guest Services para explicarle lo sucedido que ella organizó el detalle para nuestra tercera noche.

Plus- Bartenders Erik and Giovanni were great. Room was clean and spacious with nice amenities. Beach and Club pool were nice and well maintained with attentive friendly staff.

Minus- For some reason on a couple occasions restaurants would not seat us outside when tables were available. This was not a kitchen management issue because inside seating was available immediately. Check in was a bit clunky with a long wait for a \"butler\" to escort us to our Club room.

So much so, that we actually checked out after 3-days and chose a different resort. Our room was only cleaned once in the 3-days we were there as well. The hotel is very clean and the grounds are impeccable. The staff is always available and happy to help. The restaurants are excellent and the rooms are a great size. I really liked that the room had two washrooms, a sofa bed, and a Murphy bed, which worked perfectly for a family of four.

The spa is absolutely gorgeous, especially the cenote cave. It was such an unbelievable experience and definitely my favorite part of the stay.

The only downside is that there is no music on the beach, so it felt like it was missing a bit of atmosphere. We were also traveling with kids and teenagers, and they were quite bored since there wasn’t much for them to do.

The pool area was also oddly designed and didn’t really feel like a main pool where people gather. The layout and access in and out of the pool were not very convenient, which made the experience a bit disappointing.

This resort is beautiful, the rooms, the pools, the architecture stunning. Service staff are all very friendly and accommodating. There were entertainment options throughout the day and night so we were never bored. You can also book excursions at their office near the lobby. Very convenient. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Some little things I noticed that can be improved on.

There seemed to be a shortage of towels. The maid would clean and replace some towels but then hand towels she wouldn’t replace. Just inconsistency there.

The food was super salty at Asadito. We definitely mentioned it to the staff but it seems like someone was heavy handed with the salt. Never ate there again.

At the Mar House buffet, the labels for the food are jumbled up and not always clear so you don’t know what you’re eating sometimes or have to ask the staff. My boyfriend has a shellfish allergy so that was concerning.

Amazing stay, the staff were incredible and friendly. The room was very clean and up to date, we had the hot tub room and our butler Melissa set it up nightly for us. Melissa made our trip 5x times better, anything we could ever ask for she had ready for us. The pool area was never crowded and we never had trouble finding a shaded seat at the beach. This was our first time at majestic elegance and we will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful place. Amazing food. Great service. Lots of fun things to do and everything was wonderful. Only reason I didn’t get five stars is we never had hot water. I didn’t say anything till the last day so kind of my fault. I just kept rinsing off in almost warm water and calling it a day.

The person at the reception who handle the check in lied that there were no ocean view rooms on this resort. She didnt say there were none available, she said they had no rooms with ocean views at all. I saw the next day they had plenty of them. Didnt like that at all. I already paid to have the best room in the resort. Wasnt asking for a discount. Was just asking if any were still available.

Excellent service! Staff are very attentive and friendly - Genuinely doing their best to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Food at the buffet was pretty good, but not outstanding. Lots of healthy options! Restaurant food was slightly better depending on what you order. The property is beautiful! Love the lobby bars. There are no hot tubs on site, so can’t relax with friends which was a shame. But bedroom jacuzzi sort of makes up for it. The pool water temperature was a bit too cold for me, especially when the sun isn’t out (visited Feb 2026). Beach is absolutely breathtaking!! loved every second of it. Loved the long stretch of beach for long walks and to watch the sunrise. Plenty of lounge chairs and spots for shade. The adults only section coupled with family friendly resort makes it a perfect resort for group bookings. Would love to come back!

Just got back yesterday after a full week here. We won’t return. For the same price point, there are other resorts that offer a better overall experience and stronger service.

Beach: The beach is the highlight. Soft white sand, beautiful water, but chairs fill up fast so we had to claim spots before breakfast. Big downside: no bathrooms on the beach. You have to walk back up to the hotel area and there are only a couple available.

Pools: No main “hub” pool. The pools are small, scattered, not heated, and many are tied to swim-out rooms, so lounging nearby felt awkward. We really missed one large pool to relax at.

Food: Solid 8/10. We tried every restaurant—favorites were the steakhouse and the French bistro. Elegance Club gives you snacks/coffee/drinks closer to the beach, but it wasn’t a game-changer.

Noise: We were in Building 3 by the theater and it was loud nightly until 10:30–11:00. Even with earplugs, it was hard to fall asleep. Request a room away from the theater.

Upgrade/Service: We upgraded to adult-only Elegance Club and didn’t see enough added value beyond location and nearby snacks/drinks. Biggest issue was service: many staff seemed unhappy and pushy about tips. Most concerning, our butler was found inside our room without any request or reason, then after tipping him we had no butler support our last two days. Unacceptable.

Bottom line: Great beach and good food, but the layout, noise, and service issues made it underwhelming.
