The room had lots of issues (bathroom door handle missing!, small worn-out towels not fit for washing my dog, linens that were not the proper size for the uncomfortable bed …). On the plus side, the breakfast buffet was good, as was the staff. The location is certainly convenient.

Durchweg freundliches Personal, schönes Zimmer mit bequemem Bett, gute Lage, trotzdem ruhig, TV mit vielen Programmen, Telefon mit Weckanruf, gratis Fahrkarte für ÖPNV ganz unkompliziert erhalten. Das Haus wirkt gut geführt, auch im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels der Kette.
Leider sieht man dem Bad das Alter an (Rost und Kalk), alles noch im Rahmen, aber eine Modernisierung wäre wünschenswert.

Too hot and rundown

The hotel is not air conditioned, I did request a quiet room away from street, but got one facing the street. Thus very hard to sleep with window closed as too hot, and if you open window then you put up with drunks shouting until 2am.

The shower is antiquated and too small, and flooded the bath room floor.

One lift was broken which is not good as at present it's only two people per lift.

Breakfast was included and I chose the 0815 slot as that was quietest. I was told to sit at the table closest to the self service area, while I would have much rather have been at the table furthest away to minimise contact. The other two groups dining were seated at the closest tables to me, I am lost for words. During breakfast somebody from front desk and one of breakfast staff gave a guided tour to two people to show what modifications there were. While they had masks on, they were all stood together and not 1.5 meters away from each other. Am lost for words.

One positive, room had a fridge which didn't make a noise, so I was able to have a cold drink in morning.

Asked for a plug for the bathroom washbasin (to prevent my contact lenses going down the drain) and was not helped. Room okay, but could have done with a comfy chair. Had a noisy neighbour - radio on from 4am - manager did not do anything. The bathroom could do with more tiles anti slip outside the shower area.

Good condition in a good location

This hotel was very good compared to other InterCity hotels and we'd stay here again. It had a clean spacious lobby, and friendly staff. The lobby has a nice bar, too. The room was very comfortable. It's an older design but generally well maintained.The bathroom will need some attention soon, though. The shower holder is losing its grip, and flopped down a couple of times. And the caulking is getting dark in spots and will need to be recaulked. But there was consistent hot water and the drains were free flowing. Like all InterCity hotels, it's right next to the Hauptbahnhof and this one was a short walk to a small indoor mall with a supermarket, and there are many restaurants and tram stops nearby.

It was terrible hot outside so it would be great to have a working climate - but there was nothing to control the temperature - You will get a free ride ticket for Magdeburg that's great - your are staying in the middle of the town so you don't need a car. But the hotel is side by side with a huge tunnel construction site what will be able to serve suprises like a wake up call by press hammer.

Good hotel if the weather isn´t hot

Very warm night. Lack of air conditioning was not appreciated. Unable to leave the window open as noise of the trains and station announcements unbearable until very late in the evening and again from very early in the morning. Ask for a room away from the trains if possible.

I had a room next to the railway. Room was noisy - trains going by and station announcements during the night .... 02:38 to Wolmirstedt etc. room carpets were a bit 'tired'. Breakfast very good. Hotel bar was shut for the whole stay.

Hot, noisy and uncomfortable

With the outside temperature about 30C, I was looking forward to cooling down a little. However, my room was like an oven as, in spite of this being a modern hotel, there was no air conditioning (or in any other room according to other guests). There was a grille above the wardrobe, but no air apparently coming into or out of it. Opening the window wide improved things slightly, but the hotel is next to the main railway station, and the trains go on all night, crashing round bends in the track and squealing their brakes. So you have the choice of suffocating with the windows closed, or being wakened by railway noises every half hour with the windows open. Neither way was it possible to get much sleep. Warm weather can't be all that uncommon in Germany!

Nothing to sit on

This is a comfortable business hotel with one very peculiar flaw: there is nothing to sit on in the room except the bed and the baggage shelf. Not a single chair! So if you want to use the writing-desk, you'll have to sit on your luggage or stand. Don't think I've ever encountered chairless hotel rooms in any price category before. Otherwise everything was OK.

We stayed there for one night on June 28, 2013. Lovely modern hotel right next to the main train station in the older part of Magdeburg. The staff was super friendly and helpful, room nice and bright and clean, not large but perfect for a short stay for two people. A great buffet breakfast was included as well as WiFi. In the late afternoon and early evening we heard freight trains going by because the tracks are just behind the hotel. But no trains went through during the night so it wasn't a problem at all. It's also conveniently located to visit the older historical part of this city. I'd stay there again if I went to Magdeburg.

Our extended family had 3 rooms for 3 nights. The hotel is very conveniently located just about a block from the main train station (and located in train station you will find a book store, a convenience story and several places to grab a bite to eat - good to know if other places are closed). There is also a large indoor shopping mall across the street (large grocery store on basement level) but hours may not be what you are looking for. We had a car and were always able to park in the hotel lot for free. We weren't at all disturbed by any train noise. The hotel is clean, the rooms were comfortable and decent sized and the staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet has a lot to offer for all appetites. I will definitely stay here when I return - a really good deal all around.

We arrived after 9 p.m. and slept reasonably well the first night. The next night, we found ourselves simply too close to the tracks to sleep well. Great food for breakfasts, and plenty of options for other meals and history nearby. Bathroom was great, and doing minimal laundry wasn't a problem.

i was very happy with the location, the service, the restaurant, the room (though on the small side). we were able to hear the trains/ announcements at night with the window open, but it was not noisy or annoying. the restaurant and bar was great with friendly and fast service, great buffet breakfast and nice salads. i would come back to stay!

Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich, das Frühstück großartig. Leider wurde nachts bis 4 Uhr im Hotel eine Party gefeiert und sowohl Musik, als auch Feiergäste waren sehr deutlich zu hören. Dadurch, dass das Hotel sehr hellhörig ist, konnte ich jeden Gast, der über den Flur geht, hören. Ich fühlte mich wie in einer Jugendherberge.

17€für einen Parkplatz ist völlig überzogen und eine Frechheit. Bei der Buchung wurde nicht darauf verwiesen, nur auf Parkplätze. Die Zimmer wirken alt. Das Waschbecken teilweise gesprungen. Die Dusche verkalkt.

Bin zum 10x im Intercity Hotel, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück, glutenfreies Brot ist auf Nachfrage vorhanden. Am besten am Vortag schon anmelden.
Ich Reise mit dem Zug, daher muss ich nur 100 m laufen und kann bereits einsteigen… Perfekt.
Komme gern wieder.
