Good location, very good breakfast, staff very friendly and helpful.
Stayed 4 nights, bed sheds never been changed and balcony nebus floor never cleaned.
Cleaner thinks is ok to clean just a room floor but not balcony’s floor. So if you eat in a balcony and drop something after you will have a pegeons in it

Loved the hotel & location was brilliant. 2 small criticisms.
A hot water urn at breakfast would be great to save us tea drinkers waiting at the coffee machine for hot water.
No drawers in rooms! Even a bedside compartment would be nice.
We will certainly return to this hotel as pretty much perfect 😀

My family and I had an amazing few days at this hotel in Gran Canaria. The ocean views were spectacular, the staff was very friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the beach, with great weather and excellent local food options. A perfect experience to relax with family. We would definitely come back!

Les fenêtres ne sont pas isolées ça fait qu’il y avait beaucoup de bruit car il y a le restaurant en dessous impossible de dormir jusqu’à minuit.
On entend les conversations depuis la chambre.

La piscine était trop petite.

This is a Hotel in the center.of the city, dont expect it be surrounded by clean streets. Through the hotel on clean and the rooms are also clean and spacious, one day some electrical line was down and the AC was not working, problem solved the next day as well as the water skewer in the shower was clogfed and they did their best to solve it. Breakfast included was exceptional, the restaurant had really good food if you opted to dine in, price is just, based the area and the location of the city you are in. Parking was not an easy task, you had to park a few blocks down a d it was 20 euros per night, if you were lucky enough to fibd a spot in the street then you saved extra bucks there.
Overall I believe is a good hotel to stay near the center, but if you are looking atmore beachy tourist places, then you would have to look at the aouth.

Très cher pour ce que c'est... Aucun endroit pour la voiture pour l'arrivée et le départ pour débarquer les valises. Assez bruyant la nuit si on est face à la mer car on entend tout le monde sur le boardwalk sur les bancs etc. Aucune machine distributrice donc si besoin de bouteilles d'eau ou autre en soirée ou la nuit, aucune possibilité dans l'hôtel et autour proche. Ils nous disent que le minibar est gratuit ce qui est vrai mais il n'est pas rempli lors du ménage. Même chose pour les cafés. On a donc demandé à la réception un café et il fallait le prendre dehors au grand vent. On a aussi demandé un autre jour si on pouvait nous réchauffer un burger dans une boîte au micro ondes 1 min. Le gars à la réception nous a dit oui mais il est revenu en nous disant que le chef ne voulait pas car cela ne venait pas du restaurant de l'hôtel et que c'était la loi espagnole de salubrité... Aucun micro-ondes disponible nulle part. Les photos montrent des chambres avec balcon mais très peu ont. Très très déçu. La piscine est chaude même en hiver, car peu profonde, mais il vente tellement que nous y sommes allés qu'une fois.

I stayed for 11 nights in December in both a superior balcony room (7th floor sea facing), and a classic room without balcony (6th floor also sea facing).

There were some issues with the loss of water supply over the first two days. This was intermittent and outside the control of the hotel, but nonetheless did spoil the experience and cause a lot of aggravation. It's also important to know that the balcony room wasn't really worth paying extra for - I was on the 7th floor, above the swimming pool solarium area. But there was zero sunshine on the balcony for the whole time. I assume you'd get some sunlight in the summer months but if booking in the winter, be aware you might be in the shade the whole time. It did look like the balconies on the very top floor (8th) get lots of sunshine.

The rooftop pool and solarium area is nice but quite small - the pool is very cold and not really worth much. It would be better to have more space for people to lie down - there are only 6 sunbeds so you have to grab these early, before the sun comes round.
If you're not in a superior room but on the front, be aware that there are lots of lively bars and restaurants immediately beneath the floors. I was lucky to get a 6th floor room, away from the bars to avoid noise disturbance.
Also, the water flooded the rest of the bathroom floor in room 709.

Overall, once the issues highlighted above were resolved, I was happy to extend my stay over Christmas and would stay here again.

Grand Stay in Gran Canaria

The hotel is modern, clean, comfortable, and located right on the beautiful beach of Las Palmas. The staff was professional, informative, friendly, and helpful. Everyone spoke excellent English. The hotel has an on-site restaurant serving excellent food with a wide selection of chef-quality choices ranging from Spanish, European and Western dishes. A breakfast buffet is provided with a broad selection of foods ranging from juices and cereals to a broad selection of pastries, tortilla, and waffles. 5-stars. The room was spacious with a view of the ocean and modern, eco-friendly furnishings. Very clean and accommodating. Again 5-stars. There is adjacent parking along the street and a taxi right outside the hotel. There is a supermarket next door and modern Laundromat within a block. A taxi ride to the airport takes about 30 minutes. There is a Hop-on Hop-off stop within a ten minute walk of the hotel. The bus enables site-seeing of Las Palmas' numerous cultural and historic locations. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

The hotel has been tastefully renovated and our room which was the cheapest was clean and spacious and modern and very good value for money. Playa Canteras itself is a little run down and dirty so we were glad we were only staying for 1 night post cruise

Excelente ubicación, enfrente tienes la playa y estás en el malecón donde hay variedad de restaurantes, enfrente tienes el supermarket con precios muy accesibles, caminar de la estación de guaguas al hotel me pareció accesible y fácil.
Las instalaciones son muy acogedoras con una limpieza excelente, el precio me pareció muy justo por el servicio y el desayuno incluido, muy rico, vareado y llenador, cabe mencionar que desde la recepción, fueron súper amables y acogibles, sin duda volvería.

We got a room that smelled of smoke and alkohol..
This ruined the whole hotel experience..
We just stayed for one night, if not we would have asked to change room. Not sure if it would be better in another room. Apart from this the hotel is located nicely next to the beachfront.

Fantastic Location!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Exe Las Canteras. The location was perfect! We chose sea view rooms and had fantastic views!!! The hotel is right on the promenade in front of the beach and is easy walking distance to hundreds of restaurants, cafes, and bars. The rooms are no frills but very functional. The building is showing signs of wear and tear, but that did not bother us. We were not there to spend the day in our room...our room was just for sleeping, and it was perfect for that!

We won’t be going again.

The whole resort is run down as is the hotel - very tired. Things were broken or not working in our room. The AC didn’t work & as we only had a thin blanket on the bed, we were cold. The floors weren’t often cleaned and the balcony was never cleaned. Black oily smuts from nearby chimney deposited on furniture & onto our clothes. The only way to get Wi-Fi was to stand at our our room door. There were ants in the room and even in the bed. Cockroaches in the bathroom and big ones in the Spa. (This was listed in hotel details but was not free to guests. £9 each for 2hrs). No toiletries in the room when we arrived & after that the bare minimum. We had to buy our own. Often only 1 bath towel was left in vathroom. Reception Staff unhelpful. Cost us £160 to park 1K away. Details said street parking but never any spaces. Traffic a nightmare in Las Palmas. Told us there would be nowhere to eat Christmas Day which turned out untrue as many places open. No Christmas entertainment in hotel or in & around Las Palmas. The weather was warm & beach very good, although red flag up most of the time. We won’t be going back.

The property advertises it is a front beach hotel, well it is only for a few rooms, my room was outdated. I unknown why the breakfast was not included. Good SPA, I did a reservation but the SPA was not working because of some missing piece on the day of my appointment, however I got the massage service, the SPA staff very professional.

the room we were shown to on arrival was awful. grid on small window overlooking narrow dirty street. torn dirty net curtains on window. beds looked awful like camp beds. the room was nothing like that shown in your email confirming our booking. we were charged 175e extra for that room. receptionist said this was a regular occurance with Expedia clients

Good place to enjoy Las Palmas

The hotel was nice and easy access to shops and restaurants. Staff were very friendly. The Buffett breakfast was very tasty with famous Ibercos meats, cheese and fresh breads. The bed was a little hard and leaning to one side. I was on the 4th floor to the street side and you could hear people talking, singing etc as it was festival week. But overall a nice stay.

Good location. Near beach, lots of shops. The down side is breakfast for 8 Euro is not worth it, no parking and no WiFi in rooms. We paid extra 4.25 per day but the connection was so poor that it kept logging us out every 5 min!

The room is pretty basic, and I think it's overpriced.
The hotel has great location on the beach with plenty of restaurants around. There is convenience store right next to the hotel and big shopping mall 10 mins away by feet.
The hotel also provides beach towels for free (just require 10 euros deposit)
The wifi is very slow.

Good Location, Terrible Hotel

When I booked this hotel, I had read reviews so was prepared for the worst but I didn't expect the hotel to be this bad. The walls are cracked, tiles missing, floors scratched and no room service.

There was no toilet paper one day and bed was made but our dirty cups/glasses were left in the room all day. We had to ring reception to get this cleared.

I stayed at AC Iberia Marriott in Feb this year and in comparison, this feels like a hostel. I woukd give it a one star rating! Pay a little bit more and book another hotel. Even a 3 star hotel would be better than this.

Disappointed but still had a great time because Gran Canaria is beautiful and so are the people!

The receptionist are incredibly annoying and unhelpful. We booked a double room and when we arrived we were allocated a room with two single beds. We were told just to put the beds together which was ridiculous. When we told the receptionist they said they would have it done the following morning, but we waited 3+ hours for them to do this. Very poor considering we paid for a double bed. When they did eventually put the it was so uncomfortable.

Hotel should not be rated 4 stars, more like 3. The room was quite large, but very stark. There was no heat and the furniture was garage sale quality. There were a lot of channels on the TV that were just \"snow\". The space is good, just needs a renovation. Breakfast and attention from staff was fantastic.

Good and convenient hotel in the city centre

The hotel is convenient, I was able to go out and about easily- taxis and bus stops are all around and in walking distance. The receptionist speaks good English and he was very helpful and hospitable. Also the hotel offers a good breakfast for EUR 7 and it's worth it due to the wide variety of choices. Also I must say the waiters were friendly and smiley. The only drawback was the bed, which was not quite confortable. However, All in all was a good experience.

Not a 4 star hotel!

We have stayed in this hotel from dec 26 until beginning of January and the only positive is the location, as the hotel is right on the beach.

For the rest, I must say that this hotel is very disappointing! The hotel is defo not a 4 star hotel...it is barely a 3 stars. The hotel is in need of a serious upgrade.

The rooms are small and do not have any basic commodities such as cups, coffee, tea, kettle which you would expect in a 4*. The beds are not comfortable and the bathroom was overflooding everytime we took a shower.

Also, the housekeeping did not clean the floor for 1 week...I even had to complain to show that there was plenty of sand on the floor. They barely made the bed, well only the blanket was nicely placed on top, but the bed was not made underneath. Also, no one change our bed sheets for 1 week.

The car park was so small that only a few cars can fit. One day, someone had parked right behind our car and we could not get out of the car park! Even though the receptionist really tried to help, they were badly organized as they did not know whose car it was. They tried and contacted the customers they knew to move the other cars, and overall we wasted one hour to get our car out.

Breakfast is cheap (7€) but the choice is limited and the quality was not great either.

Please note that you need to pay extra if you want to use the spa area!

I guess this hotel is ok if you only plan to sleep there.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location and even then, some would argue there are more charming places (read: less of a tourist trap) to stay in Gran Canaries. The beds (if you can call them that) are extremely uncomfortable-- as in you can feel the springs plunging into your back. The decor is very bare minimum and while the room and neighborhood were safe and OK for one night, I feel this hotel is grossly overrated on this site.

We booked one night to finish off our week in the sounth of GC. We have stayed at the Exe Las Canteras several times before and book it for the position and views. We always pay extra for a room with a terrace so we can enjoy the views and hear the sea. Upon arrival, the hotel realised they had made a mistake as our reserved room did not have a terrace. Fortunantely, they had a suitable room available so we got what we had booked. Breakfast is buffet style and has lovely view from the dining room. Breads & cakes are fine but the hot eggs & bacon were mediocre. Not really 4 star but the position is great for Las Canteras and all it has to offer.

If you plan on spending no time in the hotel than this is the place for you. There was absolutely nothing to do in the hotel. The room was very small and there were three of us with one double bed and a cot. It was very handy for the beach though and the malls if you wanted to go shopping.

Avoid at all costs, this is not a 4 star hotel...

This hotel is very expensive for what it has to offer. The staff were quite impolite and totally unorganized. They couldn't find our reservation when we arrived and denied to provide us with blankets saying that they run out !
They also tried to charge one of our friends for breakfast even though he had prepaid for it !

Most importantly, the room we were given had a door inside that led to the room next to us. It was like sharing a big room with the people next door. No sound insulation at all.

Even though the hotel is next to the beach, the area is quite unappealing at nights (but not dangerous). I am sure there are better places to stay in Las Palmas for the same price or even less.

Facilities not as advertised - no restaurant, no bar, no lounge with sea view, no indoor pool, solarium just a dirty brick space, towels threadbare and poor quality. This is not a 4 star hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful but this is the only saving grace. Not an enjoyable experience.

Clean with very helpful staff, however had rear room with no view and there was a lot of outside noise including a street refuge collection service which was punctual at 01:50AM-02:00AM every morning including weekends and liked to let everyone know they were about.
Be aware there are no sun lounges or parasol at this end of the beach this facility was a mile or so away at the other side of the resort so make sure you have high sun factor

Right in front of the beach and the outside lounge deck was great. Staff were very pleasant and informative. Great spot and I'm booking to go again next year

I was amazed to find on arrival that although we had contacted the hotel for a disabled room for my partner who struggled with stairs , but still wanted a seaview and not overlook a concrete jungle, we paid and extra 35 euros per night for a sea view room on the eighth floor - the lift only went to the seventh floor so my partner still had to struggle up a flight of stairs to this disabled room - what sense is that? also the spa was not included in the price which is not indicated when booking. There was no evening restaurant in this hotel and not sure where this piano bar was meant to be!! A very noisy sports bar next door. The room was kept clean and the breakfast buffet was excellent but definately not 4 star rating for this hotel

Good location, fantastic staff, amazing breakfast.

Great location near to the beach front, fantastic and helpful staff, totally amazing breakfast and very clean room and hotel. Only downer was old fashion room furniture and charge to use of spa.

OK, but the service in the reception was very bad. Ex,when I arrived I asked where to park my car and was told that I had to park in the streets. After cirkerling around for about 45 min , I gave up. I parked on a place where I received a parking fine for Euro 100,-!!!!!! But the day after, I myself found out that I could have parked very near by in a parking house i Calle Oluf Palme for a special price for hotel guests!!! This is the reception should had informed me about!!!!!! In addition, the fan in the bathroom was on when light was on, and it made an tremendous noise!!! Also noise from the street was to high.

Perfect hotel for everyone

Perfect location, right on the beach with just a promenade between the two, near shops, restaurants, bars but still fairly quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very comfortable, especially those with a terrace overlooking the sea, the breakfast buffet is varied and extensive, all in all the pefect place to stay

Modern but sparse

This hotel is trying to be modern and quite high-tech. Unfortunately the wooden floorboards and clean walls are not all all comforting. During my stay the wi-fi in the hotel was chaotic and the TV tiny with very poor reception.Not great.

I don't think the staff are overly friendly toward Afro caribbean/African peoples.
They inclusive (with the exception of 1 cleaner) were barely polite.

The WIFI at this hotel only worked in the reception area ONLY so any \"internet activity could only take place in the hotel lobby, this is after I had them call their tec services who supposedly boosted the signal

Hotel was as expected and very good location. The only bad point was no tea or coffee facitities in the room for early mornings. As most hotels provide this I was supprised. Very clean and good maid service.

Great location

The hotel is in a fantastic location and the staff are friendly and helpful. Downsides were single beds (we had booked thinking it would be a double) and loud building works which began in the early hours. Definitely worth a stay if you're in Las Palmas

Nice hotel, with basic nessesiies.

Spent 3 nights there. The cheaper rooms, like ours were ok, apart from the missing view, we could not see the sky from the window on the second floor, only a wall 3 meters away. All the other basics were ok, supermarket 10 meters away. Car park 5 min walk away. 15 euros pr 24 hours. Wirh reasonable expections, you get walue for money.

This hotel is right on the beach front, close to all bars, restaurants etc. There is even a promenade to work off all those calories. Fabulous location. See you soon.

Beware!!!! Run away as fast as you can!!!

I think the hotel classification as a four * misguides you! Definitely, I think this hotel it is not a 4*!
Since I've booked very close to the date, before my arrival I've called the hotel to confirm. The man who answered the phone tells me: \"You have to call later because right now I´m busy!\" Pardon me! This along with situation when I've checked in makes me wonder if this is he kind of service of a 4* hotel????!!!!
One exception: The restaurant staff! Available, doing everything tom please and to attend our requests! Very Good!!!

Excellent location, room small , the view was a brick wall.....TV had 1 english news station\" BBC World\", no DVD which would have been handy as no English stations to watch...Twin beds which for for a couple is not ideal...would give this hotel 3 stars....would recommend to friends but not as a 4 star hotel

Fint værelse, skøn beliggenhed, venligt personale. Der var ikke plads til mere end 10-12 gæster i poolområdet på tagetagen, hvilket betød at der aldrig var plads, men med stranden tæt på var det sekundært. Morgenmadsbuffeten fungerede ikke; der var altid enten tomme fade, ingen kopper eller snavsede borde og personalet var ret usynligt. Til prisen havde jeg forventet et højere niveau

Aamiainen oli heikentynyt huomattavasti edellisestä vuodesta, lämpimä ruuat olivat kylmiä. Meiltä puuttui aluksi aurinkotuolit terassilta jotka kuuluivat olla siellä. Saatiin ne vasta kolmantena päivänä. Hotelli on hyvällä paikalla.

Frokosten var under lavmål, det manglet hele tuden enten kopper, glass, bestikk eller mat. Spiaesalen var også under ombygging slik at 1/3 del hele tiden var frastengt. Og: håndtverkerne jobbet mens vi spiste med pussing slik at det var støvete.
