Had I known this was one of those minimal / non human contact places I would have avoided. Nothing but bad experiences with those in the past. Everything is Whats App based which is inherently problematic. I actually lucked out. A staffer happened to show up as I was struggling with Whats App outside the locked reception less front door. He was very helpful and walked me through it. The room was OK. The neighborhood noise, as everyone else notes, is a real pain. Wifi is awful . Works for a few seconds, goes into a strange sketchy and incomplete log in mode that raised lots of security red flags on both my devices. Check out time was not noted anywhere. There was a pounding on the door at 10 (a rare \"human\" encounter) after which I saw a Whats App message telling me checkout was 11. I scrambled out at 11:10 after another door pounding. Then a half hour later after I was already two kilometers away got a phone call (remote human again) asking when I was going to leave. Spend 10 Euros more and get a real hotel

Hotel Catalina was perfect for our one night stay. The beds were super comfortable and the hotel is convenient for the bus station and also for many restaurants nearby.

Taxi druver couldn't find hotel as it seems to be trading under the name hotel and chic. Only a small sign on window to show we were in the right place. Room was supposed to be superior but was scruffy and badly maintained. Reception is only manned between 10am and 6pm outside those hours, access is by key card. Ours didn't work. We had to call an emergency number to get an access code. On entering the hallway and switching on the light, we found insects scurrying across the floor. At 11.30pm they were unable to offer alternative accomodation. We closed the hall door and left the light on. We slept in our clothes. When we left in the morning, the reception staff were disinterested. Even when I asked for the complai nts book, they didn't seem to care. We had booked for a second night but couln't wait leave even though we lost the cost of the room. It was the hotel from Hell!

Great space/nice bathroom. Way too noisy with restaurants and bars just below and windows that don’t stop the noise. Music and loud crowd until 3 am and chatters until 5 am. If you are looking for a place to crash after partying great spot , but if you wouldn’t mind sleeping a bit I wouldn’t recommend it.

Basic facilities.

Room 102 had a sliding bathroom door which was very difficult to move. The door was dropping off its support and when reported to reception the \"fix\" made it worse. The air con only worked occasionally. Facilities were very basic. The hotel bar was shut most of the week which may have been a blessing because it opened at the weekend and was then very noisy most of the night.

La verdad es que tenía la expectativa de llegar a un hotel nuevo y me encontré una habitación de una casa antigua fría y húmeda. También me sorprendió que el check-out fuera a las 11 en lugar de las 12 como es habitual en España.

Supongo que es cuestión de gustos, yo prefiero instalaciones nuevas. La atención amable.

Hubiera agradecido que ya que me tuve que buscar otro hotel, me hubieran ofrecido devolverme al menos parte de lo que pagué ya que no dormí en la habitación.

Great location but watch out for late night noise

Great location, and a nice corner room. Access was very easy but, you need to take ear plugs as a lot of noise at night, especially at the weekend. Also even though I was out of the room for long periods during the day, my room was only serviced once in five days. So positives but also some negatives

We had a wonderful room , clean and tidy. Well laid out furniture. . Wonderful helpful staff . Super roof top terrace to sit out on. Only stopped for 2 nights. Saturday night is outside disco night so don't expect much sleep unless you are joining in. Would go there again.

This was lovely accommodation that was near to the beach and bus station and with restaurants and shops nearby. The only negative is you may be above some bars and restaurants thatwere at times noisy until late and caused a problem sleeping.

Having stayed here several times in the past, I was surprised to find that it has changed in many ways, which I didn’t find was an improvement.
Bed & Chic is now not a hotel, I would say more ‘serviced rooms’.
The quality of my suite as, as before, superb. Style and content was as before, but elements beyond my door were below par.
There was, and still is, a coffee ‘corner’ on site, that implies (with original signage) that guests can refresh themselves with teas and coffees. Not so! There are two shiny coffee machines that require pods; there were no pods.
Realising that I needed to buy my own, I asked reception what type of capsule I needed to find at a supermarket.I was told that I could buy them from reception, and warned that if I purchased from anywhere else then they may not fit.
The receptionist then sold me a double-capsule pack for two Euros; a cup for a Euro; I bought a few.
The coffee was weak and not pleasant, even using two at a time AND, on research, is purchased ON,Y from Amazon in massive quantities making them as cheap as chips…nowhere near the high price charged at B&C.
At a later date, when talking with the delightful manager who is sometimes onsite, I gathered that the other receptionist may have been overcharging for the coffee packs. Consequently I gave up coffee for the next twelve days of my stay.
The roof terrace was always delightful, and still has the same super views, but is desperately in need of some TLC. All cleaning and maintenance

Great location in Las Palmas, convenient for good, local food & bars, with excellent cafes too.
All staff were very helpful & professional & the room was a great size, cleaned daily & with air con.
The bus station from the airport is only a 5 minutes walk away.
Minor issues with late check-in machine that was off-line, otherwise an excellent choice for a stay in this impressive city!

We had a big comfortable room on the top floor. It had a mini kitchen too, which was really handy. The location is excellent for the city centre. There is a lively square right by the hotel, great fun, but if you want peace and quiet in the evenings this may not be the place for you! Saff were frindly and helpful.

Ok hotel for a night

Nice hotel overall, but not brilliant. The room looked showy with lots of fancy pendant lights, long curtains and lots of cushions, but the room lacked surface space, the ceiling light didn't work and the sink was a bit rusty from the wetroom spraying water everywhere (it wasn't a good choice to install a wetroom - it's not aged well and the floor looks very discoloured). The floral smell in the room was rather overbearing for me too. Also the wifi was erratic.
The breakfast was ok but the croissant wasn't that fresh, the coffee rather bitter and the juice kind of sour. They're trying really hard with their chic touches and the staff were really nice, but if some of the basics were better done they would carry it off better.

Interesting hotel, could be better.

The hotel was fine, but our room had a few annoying details. The bathroom light was controlled by motion sensor, but the light, which was flourescent, over sink stayed on too long, if one used toilet during the night, but if you were showering, the light would go off. Dumb design.
We never could get the main room lights or the ac/heating to work, and a bit of heat would have been nice, as we hit a cold snap.

The breakfast situation was absurd. There really is no breakfast room, there is a tiny cafe open to hotel guests and the public, with 4 inside tables, and lots of outside tables, but again it was too cold to eat outside. Hotel and cafe staff were very pleasant, but the whole experience was less then great. The hotel location was fine, right on a very nice square, central location. But the streets right off the square can be a little seedy at night, not dangerous, just seedy.

Convenient location at a good price

We stayed for 3 nights in a junior suite. The room was spacious, though we did not make full use of the kitchenette facilities.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple and in an area open to the outside, so it could be uncomfortable on a cool morning. We understood that this is being remedied by extending into the building next door.
The location is very convenient for access to buses and the car park the hotel has an arrangement with. The hotel overlooks Santa Catalina Park, which is enjoyed by locals and has lots of atmosphere.
We would certainly go there again.

Lovely hotel and fabulously helpful and friendly staff. Situated near Santa Catalina Park, it's within easy reach of all local amenities and only a short (and cheap) bus ride from the old town. I'd thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay for a few days.

Overall the hotel was very good. Staff were very friendly and always helpful. My main reason for not giving excellent was the very poor breakfast no real choice and very rigid in what you got ie with your toast one very small portion of jam no choice of fruit flavor or a small portion of chopped tomatoes. Would have used the hotel room only if I had known about the poor breakfast.

Surprise extension to our Sun Break

This trip surprised us .Didn't have any presumed ideas.Just thought it would be nice to see Las Palmas .Really surprised, loved the old town ,market areas and walking street all explained by reception staff.Amazing attention to detail. Backing on to The Catalina Park area there was great buzz. Rooms were cute and v.well planned.

Very good experience in central Las Palmas hotel

The hotel was an old building modernised to a very good standard. We were next to a popular square where we were able to spend a very pleasant evening just recovering from flight with pizza and wine whilst listening to carnival event. Room glazing kept indoors fairly quiet. The staff were really nice and helpful, serving us with one of the nicest breakfasts I've had each morning. Had couple of meals in restaurants of which there was good choice. Would thoroughly recommend first one, Clandestino, which was excellent and very reasonable for impressive quality of good. Would not recommend the other restaurant visited, Rias Bajas, of which we had high expectations in line with very high prices charged, but found the experience disappointing in every aspect.

We cant praise the reception staff highly enough.

We had to arrange for my husband to have an INR blood test and we had been quoted silly prices. The staff went out of their way to find a clinic who did it for 10€. They gave us loads of tips and places to go to make the holiday one to remember.

From the moment we checked in this hotel was excellent. Hector on reception welcomed us warmly and gave us so much information on the area re restaurants sightseeing and route to the beach.The area is excellent for just about everything with a bus very close by, major shops just a short walk away and excellent restaurants close by. The hotel is modern and yes \"Chic\" We had an excellent room with a super comfy bed and pillow, spacious room and an terrific shower. A decent continental breakfast was available to hotel guests at a discounted price. We stayed for 9 nights and encountered just 1 noisy night at the weekend. We will stay here again

The location is excellent. Close to restaurants and the Mercado del Puerto as well as shops and the Museo Elder. Also close to buses going into the Old Town. The hotel itself is modern and well managed. The staff is knowledgeable and could not be more helpful. We feel lucky to have stayed here.

Amazingly large rooms

The hotel has more pro's than cons. Very large rooms, clean and decorated in a minimilistic way which we liked and as requested our room overlooked Catalina Park. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. You could have breakfast in the cafe on the ground floor with a discount for guests. On the whole a very nice hotel but there were one or two downsides.

Panache on the Plaza

This is a very cool hotel -- offbeat and unique, with contemporary styling all its own. The most amazing part, though, is the staff, especially the employees at the check-in desk. Throughout my stay, they took lots of time to help me get oriented in the city and to make suggestions for sightseeing.
The lobby area is very small, with the bar/cafe spilling out to the plaza. I really enjoyed lingering at the tables outdoors, where an inexpensive breakfast was available.
The only downside of this hotel: The setting on the plaza is lovely, but the bar/restaurant next door was very noisy until around 1 a.m. Light sleepers should bring earplugs.
The bed was very comfie, though, and my room was pristine.

Overall, I liked the hotel but was slightly disappointed given the glowing reviews I'd seen. Best thing about hotel was staff who were so friendly and helpful. Location was convenient, close to the bus station, beach and lots of restaurants and supermarkets. On to the slightly less good aspects - we paid for a superior room but were given a standard one. This issue was rectified pretty soon so not too bad. We paid extra for high speed wifi only to find that wifi in our room was non-existent. Really poor connection. It was painful! There is a bar on the top of the building with very loud music (soundproofing in the rooms isn't great and you can hear everything loud and clear). Some of the lights didn't work in the room. Not sure if these issues were just in our room but it did affect the stay a bit. Overall, our stay was ok but could've been better if the above issues are sorted!

A modern and well run hotel in a great location.

We stayed here for three nights and enjoyed every minute. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our terrace room (with air conditioning) was great value for money. The cafe provides a good breakfast. We made good use of the excellent local bus service to get around. Santa Catalina bus depot is only a few yards away from the hotel and is very convenient for getting to and from the airport. We bought a pre payment bus card (ask for a \"Bono wawa\") for ten trips on the local yellow buses and used this to visit the old town and other places of interest. We particularly enjoyed our trip to the botanical gardens. Canteras beach is a short walk away. It is sandy, clean and safe for swimming. There are plenty of good restaurants surrounding the hotel - ask the hotel staff for a list. Our only disappointment was not being able to hire a bike with our \"Bono wawa\". Perhaps the hotel staff could look into this.

Lovely, stylish, small hotel in great location

Lovely stylish small hotel in great location. 3 mins walk from Santa Catalina bus station ( direct No 60 bus from airport €3) and 5 mins walk from lovely Las Cantares beach. Great roof terrace and nice cafe at ground level. The hotel is on a pleasant square,Parque Santa Catalina, and my room overlooked it (and the port beyond) so was quiet - rooms on the other side may have some street noise. Room was spacious, bathroom not huge but had great shower, luxurious towels etc. Local buses to old town and other destinations leave from the square every few minutes. Large shopping centre nearby too if that's your thing. All in all would recommend and will return.

Brilliant Hotel with Lovely Décor. Only minor problem is the noise from the street but this can be avoided if booking a room overlooking the Park. Overall brilliant hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. Towels and bedding replaced every day. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Friendliest Reception Staff Ever

I booked for a weeks stay here on the strength of other reviews and was pleasantly surprised to find they were true.

This is not a grand hotel but the room I was given was large and stylish the bathroom was tiny but well equipped the shower unit was identical to one in a 4 star hotel I stayed at recently.

The reception is not manned at all times and entry is by using a credit card sized plastic key which also opens your room door. The staff were the most helpful I have ever found at any hotel including some of the worlds most famous luxury hotels. Nothing was too much trouble. Reception even produced a banana plant for me after I mentioned I wanted one.

The WiFi connection was first rate and free. The air conditioning not only worked but so did the remote, a rare occurrence as any seasoned traveler will tell you. A lift services all floors. Room doors are large enough to admit a wheelchair but you would need to check that a room is available where the same could be said for the bathroom.

I understand that the number of rooms is to increase from the current 12 and a bar/restaurant is to open shortly.

Just a short walk to the beach, plenty of places to eat or get a drink close to the hotel. Several banks within a two minute walk as well as a couple of mini-markets.

I really enjoyed my stay and will return.

Stayed for one week at bed&chic and had a great time. We had a late check in but instructions for the room e.g. How to use the wifi, TV was left out for us at reception as well as the room card. Rooms are very spacious and very clean. While the bathrooms are not the largest they have great showers! The hotel is 5 mins from the beach and around ten minutes to the main shopping centre. There are loads of bars and restaurants to choose from and there is a friendly atmosphere in town. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was gorgeous and very spacious. comfortable beds and would highly reccomend this to a friend. However, if you are going for gay pride make sure to check the location of the pride and location of the hotel. The hotel is located on the North side of the island while everything else was located on the South. I was not aware of this so we spent alot of money in taxis. Over all i would absolutely go back and stay there.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and we really enjoyed being so close to the beach and to the town centre. Also, the station is just a short walk away. If you go, don't miss the terrace on the 3rd floor :)

Un desastre total desde la entrada que no te la muestran en las fotos porque es espantosa, en la calla donde estan las parte de atras de las cocinas de los bares de la plaza.
Una suciedad en todo el hotel, sin vajilla en las habitaciones. Y para rematarlo un ruido total porque se encuentra arriba de una discoteca por tanto no te puedes dormir hasta las 3am que termina la musica.
No tiene recepcion, no tiene locker o posibilidad de dejar maletas.
Una autentica pesadilla.

Jeg havde problemer med at komme ind på hotellet fordi jeg skulle udfylde og sende personlige oplysninger inden jeg kunne blive lukket ind. Der efter vr det lidt bøvlet at få kodet nøglekortet til værelset.
Værelset var stort men underligt indrettet, det bar præg af ikke at være bygget som hotel og rengøring kunne have været bedere.

L'accompagnement pour le check-in en ligne s’est très bien déroulé. La chambre a un très beau coup d’œil mais ce n’est pas particulièrement propre. L’hôtel est bien situé, à seulement 3’ de la place et derrière un joli parc. Cependant, des spectacles ont lieu dans ce parc et on entendait la musique de notre chambre jusqu’à 2-3 hres am

Sehr hilfsbereites Personal.
Betten und Kopfkissen bequem.

Hotel braucht mehr Pflege. Alte Stühle austauschen, Fenster reparieren etc.
Hotel ist sehr hellhörig für Lärm im Inneren als auch vom nahegelegenen Platz außerhalb.

Nedslitt, kaldt vann i dusj, forferdelig støy pga uteservering nedenfor vinduet og festival. Ikke stille før ca 04.00. Møkkete glass, manglende kaffekopper. Ikke rengjøring av rom.

Reception was very friendly as well as the cleaning staff. The room was really spacious but oddly decorated: no place to put your suitcase and very little countertops. And they could maybe deep clean the room once - the floors were r e a l l y dirty. The kitchen was good but there could have been more dishes. The toilet door was broken and there could have been more countertops too. But the weird thing was that the top part of the wall next to the niece door was just a glass wall. You could hear everything. There was also lot of noises from the plaza - nothing the hotel could do unless they would install more isolating windows.

Kamer is best groot, ben goed. Oogt wat qntiek allemaal niet echt geschikt om te werken.
Locatie is op zich prima maar.met twee gezichten.
Ligt pal aan st catalina plein. Dus best mooi plein met 2e centrale busstation van las palmas
Maar ookhet uitgaanscentrum van las palmas. Slapen is op donderdag en vrijdaginmogelijk. Na het stappen gaat de schoonmaak direct aan de slag.. het digitale inchecken is één groot drama. App downloaden beveiliging code die niet kwam. Gedoe.

L'entretien et le confort général de la chambre laissent à désirer. Les distributeurs à savon et shampoing et le miroir sont installés croches, les rideaux sont mal accrochés, certaines lampes ne fonctionnent pas, l'aspect général et la propreté sont sous les attentes.
La réception de l'hôtel n'est ouverte que de 10h à 18h. Arrivée difficile en dehors de ces heures.

Sucio, con manchas grandes en las sábanas en una cama ‘hecha’, goteras y herrumbre en el baño, con cableado eléctrico que no te permite apagar la luz en el cuarto a menos que quites toda la electricidad, con alta probabilidad de cortocircuito. Cucarachas en la habitación, no te cambian de cuarto cuando en plena noche se lo suplicas alegando que les tienes pánico, ya que solo atienden urgencias. Obviamente el bienestar físico y emocional del huésped, no lo es. Pero lo más sucio de todo es la actitud, la manipulación y el mal hacer de su personal. Todo lo dicho está documentado, con fotos y capturas, en las instituciones pertinentes. A menos que quieras pasar una noche de terror, no lo recomiendo. La peor experiencia vivida en un hotel hasta la fecha.

Hotel in lebhafter Umgebung und für kurze Wege zum Strand, zum Hafen mit Anbindung an viele Geschäfte und Lokalitäten. Wen die lebhafte Umgebung mit nächtlichen Aktivitäten nicht stört ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben.

Huone hieno. Korkea huonekorkeus. Kivat näkymät puistoon. Valitettavasti alapuolella sijaitsi Disco. Ääni kantautui huoneeseen aamu kahteen saakka.
Etenkin vessa todella likainen ja huonokuntoinen. Haju oli jopa espanjalaisittain erittäin viemärinen

La habitacion grande , comoda, el hotel centrico y moderno, Lo unico malo que paso el ultimo dia descubrimos una fregona ducia y mal olor detras de la cortina de la habitacion, nos quejamos con el manager , una pena al pasar eso ya que nos have dudar si regresaremos

Hotel bien situé, au coeur de l'animation de Las palmas. Gare routière dans le parc devant l'hotel, très pratique pour se rendre dans le centre historique ou la peninsule sauvage de Las Palmas. Hotel confortable, propreté à améliorer. drap taché, vaisselle à renettoyer, traces de mains sur les vitres comme après le gouter d'anniversaire d'un groupe d'enfants.
