Room and location were great. Very close to the port and a nice mall. Had to carry suitcases up a flight of stairs to get in; elevator from ground to lobby was not obvious and then wasnt working. Staff probably would have helped if we'd asked; they were very nice. Not a lot of variety in the restaurant for dinner but lots of good restaurants nearby on the boardwalk.

Everybody I was in contact with were very courteous and nice, the place is incredibly clean if maybe a little dated. Restaurant window seat are spectacular as it’s on the 23rd floor 2 floors below the swimming pool and sun deck area.
Food was great service also. Proximity to beach and cruise port excellent would I stay here again? 100%

The hotel is older and run down! The old elevator outside to get your bags into the hotel is also old. Otherwise 15 steps to get your bags to the lobby!
Breakfast was cold both mornings and good luck with the coffee! Location is close to cruise port!

The evening service for dinner always started well but by the end staff disappeared and it was difficult to finish our meal properly. More attention required.
The layout of the bathroom is precarious and could cause an accident.
The views from the room and restaurant were fantastic.
The lift from reception to the ground floor is really a trade lift and not suitable for passengers.

Wrong room type & Uncomfortable Bathroom

First of all, the room was NOT Ocean View. It was just \"Partially Sea View\". To see the ocean I need to stay at the corner of the room or need to go out to a narrow balcony. So the room was absolutely not correct. And the bathroom was uncomfortable at all. It was so small and the Water Closet is very close to the wall. I am just 180cm tall but I was not able to sit in the water closet. My knees were pushing against the wall and feeling painful. I talked with the front desk clerk but no solution for the issues. I had to stay in Partially Sea View Room and I got knee pain in two days in this room. Since the 1980s I have been staying numerous times in Marriott Hotels around the in all six continents of the world and never been i a Marriott like this one. Uncomfortable bathroom and non-friendly front desk clerk. No more Marriott in the Canary Islands.

Great hotel! Just got back from AC Tower, I’ve been upgraded to a balcony room ( as a member ) without even asking, thank you. Fantastic facilities, food, building, service, and location. 5 minutes to a buzzing beach with everything on your doorstep. Lovely breakfast and staff. Really enjoyed it. Would love to return.

Good stuff: The beach was only a 4 minute walk, also short walks to bus, grocery store, taxi stand, and many restaurants/stores.

Annoying: we had to sit sideways on the toilet due to close proximity to the wall, and we are average height.

A little strange for us (Americans): no washcloths nor top sheet on the bed (only a comfortor)

The hotel is located about a 5 minute walk from Santa Catalina bus station, which is a great way of getting to/from other parts of the island. The area around the elevator on the 14th floor smelled of dampness and mold but there was a sign indicating that they were resolving an issue. Aside from that the hotel and the room were very clean. The room was a good size and had a balcony with an amazing view of the city and the ocean. The fitness centre was small but had enough equipment to work with.

If you like clean, stay elsewhere

Biggest issue was lack of cleanliness, the entire room was filthy. Wanted to have a nice bath but all around the bath was so dirty i could wipe off the dirt with ease, then the bath plug was covered in black filth, just gross. Fixtures in room haven’t been wiped for months covered in thick dust. Cigarette stumps on balcony, someone else’s hair on the sink upon arrival. Bed on one side was worn down felt like sleeping on a hill. We didn’t get a maid service on our second day which I find odd in a 5* hotel usually get a daily freshen up but nothing. Corridors smelt like damp. On a plus side, the lounge on 23rd floor was lovely with nice service and nice views and the location was great for us. Needs a huge renovation and new cleaners, won’t be staying again.

The property is well located between the beach and the cruise port with wonderful views from the higher floors. The immediate area around the hotel is a bit run down and crowded with noisy traffic. The desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The cleaning staff could be more thorough and consistent. We stayed for 12 nights and our bed linen was only changed twice - when requested.

Property is old. Elevator from street level to lobby is very hard to use. Elevators inside hotel are old and slow.
Several guests were checking in at the same time. Our person was more worried about others than us and took longer than normal because he kept jumping into their conversations.
Bed comfort level was superb!
Unfortunately after we were asleep, we were woken up by room service trying to deliver someone else's order. No apologies received.
I would stay here again for the price paid.

This is a perfect property for a pre cruise stay , great for the beach in Las Palmas and right next to the train station. Building was lovely and staff very helpful and kind. My concerns were that our safe did not work and AC did not seem to work well. One suggestion to the Marriott people would be that the restaurant should be open for meals at typical hours ( not opening at 8 pm) and prices of meals seem very steep. We did not eat one meal there. Lots of restaurants around the hotel.

Loved the location, walking distance to lots of shops, cafes, bars and the main bus stop, was also situated opposite a bus stop and opposite a mall. Super helpful and friendly staff. Very good maid who cleaned our room well. Lovely gesture of leaving us a card and wrapped boxed gift for our stay over new years. Would highly recommend. Only improvement is a more powerful shower would have been good. We stayed in the Junior Suite

Great hotel, but no pool at the moment.

Fantastic location and the rooms are very nice, the beds are very comfortable and the staff are very attentive. Only downside for us was that they listed the pool as closed due to covid.... Which is odd because everyone else's pool is open. I'd rather they were just honest about the reason, you could see from the stairs leading up to the pool that it was obviously in a state of disrepair and that this was the real reason.

Beautiful views from this hotel -- the staff were so friendly and wonderful. There isn't a spot to drop off your baggage and go park the car, and also it's complicated to find the elevator - so figure that out in advance. Food/breakfast was great! It'll be good to add some vegetarian options to make it more tourist friendly.

Good location - easy acess to beaches and bus station. Very clean, quiet AC, some traffic noise. Easy to spot hotel from a distance, being very high. Rooftop pool too small and too cold (in December, at least), but ok for sun bathing with views. Has in-room safe at no extra charge, and free airport shuttle bus. But a bit too frugal with bottled drinking water.

Lovely hotel, worth the money

Beautiful hotel! Staff was very friendly! The room was always cleaned to a high standard and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely room and hotel facilities were brilliant. Nice view from balcony and the hotel is located in the perfect area as it is close to all the restaurants and shops, and just less than a 10 minute walk from the beach.

A few downsides

Great service. Lovely view from balcony and nice modern room. Lots of amenities in the room which was great. Only two negatives which were the smell of the drains in the room - even with the door open or the air conditioning the smell was unbearable at times, I understand that this sometimes can not be helped however this would definitely put me off staying there again. Also the room is not sound proof. We could hear the maid passing and in the stock room early in a morning and also could hear traffic passing (we were on the 14th floor), it didn’t help that we happened to be there when it was carnaval so the noise was very loud until the early hours of the morning. But great location near Santa Catalina and walking distance to las canteras.

Very nice hotel but very poor breakfast. We had very little choice apart from pastries , fruit and juice etc.
Eggs and other hot items where only brought out as we where leaving despite the hot buffet being empty for 30 mins. At €18 each it was very bad value

BUILDING VERY OLD . HARDLY EVEN 2 STAR .

As building is round and VERY OLD -- shape of room small ,-- [ delux room !!] ,almost totally impossible to access the toilet [ only INCH OR TWO from FRONT of toilet to the WALL ]. No soap and only ONE hand towel ON ARRIVAL --- CHIPPED glasses to drink from in bathroom , bedside electric fitting pulled away from wall --hanging , both bedside lights only come on together, so if one wants sleep -cannot only have one on. Huge TV , NO English program, film or video available. No lift or easy access to POOL , HAVE TO CLIMB TWO MORE FLOORS beyond the top floor lift -- mostly in the dark -- no light bulbs or directions how to find it . No lounge -- only extension to dining room . Breakfast VERY VERY POOR -- never 'top' anything up if empty . Only ONE croissant left most all breakfast time ! Some Lift buttons don't work etc etc .. Shall I go on ---- . IT is NOT 4 star --I RATE IT 2 --but also needs better management and maintenance . ASKED FOR ROOM SERVICE [ some Ice ] -- not arrived after 45 mins -- eventually went fetch some from Dining room --going up and down lifts to go get it !! Went to another Hotel --same star , same price --what a difference . Fabulous !

Very good transport links, with main bus station just 2 mins walk and very close proximity to the beach. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Decent city hotel for the beach and port

We stayed 1 week as a tourist couple at this distinctive and rather dated looking hotel from the outside. It was a comfortable stay with a decent size clean double bedroom, massive TV, minibar and in room wifi (for a smallish fee). Air conditioning was a bit underpowered and the room was a little tired in spots but otherwise perfectly serviceable.
The breakfast buffet in the 23rd floor dining room was OK if a bit limited and repetitive but with good quality ingredients (eg. juices, fruit, pastries).
Staff in general were OK and willing to help but there was a bit of lack of English at reception for 1 member of staff exemplified when trying to resolve where some pyjamas had disappeared to! It was resolved by the next day with an apologetic offering of chocolates.
Location is quite central but a long walk or short bus ride from the Triana tourist and shopping area.
A bus or taxi ride are 40 to 20 minutes to the airport.

I have used this hotel a few times as convenient but it's very overpriced wouldn't say 4 star
Ordered room service club sandwich and cheesecake
A plate of cheese arrived and some tuna and lettuce in pitta bread arrived it was horrible left it, the Ac very noisy but couldn't open balcony door as wasn't sliding and would tear of hindges in wind on the 13 floor
Had to complain about room as gave us single beds when we had booked double
