The hotel needs a make up

The room was clean, but very old looking. They dud not have enough comforters for the cold. The furniture needs replacement very old and peeling, in the bathroom the countertop broken. The faucets are old and not eco at all. Not a 3 star .

Good value for money in a nice location

The cost is better than many other hotels in the area and it's in a great location right by the sea front and a 5-10 minute walk from Santa Catalina Square. The staff were great and rooms were clean. My only criticism would be the paper thin walls. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper but ended up being woken up most days by neighbours and people in the hallway. Bring earplugs and you'll be fine!

Very enjoyable, comfortable and friendly budget hotel next to Las Canteras Beach.
It was great to come back to the hotel after a day of sightseeing. Will certainly stay at the Faycan again.

Nice clean hotel

This is a 'what you see is what you get' Hotel - Its' 3* - but its'close to the Beach, Bars & Restaurants, very clean through-out, nice staff and the Continental Breakfast was more than expected. Free internet.
Beds fine nice size room - small kitchen so you could make a drink and pop things into the fridge. All in all it was excellent for our needs good price.
It has no Air conditioning but I am sure they could find you a fan if needed.
Only downside we had was x3 women in a room trying to grab mirror space, only had one in the bathroom - so one in our room would have been great.
I would recommend this nice little Hotel .

Simple, clean, very friendly and helpful staff, and literally only 20 metres to the waterfront. It's also almost exactly halfway along the (3km?) waterfront, so it's really well positioned. Outstanding value at those prices!

Wonderful!

Very impressed. Excellent wifi everywhere even on the rooftop. Rooftop solarium very well done with \"grass\" so no burned feet and sun beds and a shower and toilet. Perfect for the day and for star gazing at night. Bathtub perfect and hot water all the time. Location a few steps to the beach and ten minutes from one of the bus stations. About 45 minutes walking from the main bus station. Blackout drapes and a kitchenette area. Beach towel available on request. Very basic sachets of shower gel and soap and shampoo. Can't hear neighbors and cleaners as walls thin but was not a big problem and it was also very peaceful and quiet often too. Don't get out off by that as you will be missing out on a great hotel experience :)

A smart little bolthole by Las Canteras...

Perfect little place for an impromptu, no-fuss getaway to the wonderful urban beach city that is Las Palmas - and a good base for exploring the north/interior of the island by rental car too. Seconds from the beach and close to a decent selection of local shops, bars and restaurants (highly recommend the superb Uruguayan beef restaurant, Novillo Precoz, and local neighbourhood tapas bar Cafe Pachichi - both just round the corner). Simple but welcome breakfast. Polite staff. Kept spotlessly clean. Only grumble was occasional spike in noise echoing off the wall directly facing our room towards the rear of the hotel plus lack of A/C and verandah. We went in October and it was pretty airless at night, so could get a bit sweaty during summer months. So, in summary, if you want a balcony, a seaview and unbridled luxury, it's not for you; if you want a decent bolthole in top city and plan to be out exploring, topping up the tan and hoovering up the vino and tapas etc, it's well worth a go.

Nice, good location, noisy

We had a pleasant stay here. Staff was courteous and the room was clean with comfortable chairs to sit in which we definitely appreciated. The sound insulation is non existant though, and you will hear everything your neighbors do. If you like the las palmas area I would reccommend this place :)

Great location 200 yards from beautiful main beach and promenade but also only five minutes walk from Las Palmas centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Decor a little bit dated but very clean. Would recommend.

Getting better!

This was my 4th stay at this hotel.
Good improvements since my first stay: flat tv screens with USB port if you want to bring your own movies to watch,new colorful tables/ chairs in the breakfast room.
Hotel:
less than half a minute from the beach
10' to the closest shopping centre (next to the port) with shops,restaurants,cinema and a well known supermarket called Dino. You can also find smaller supermarkets,restaurants in almost every street.
10' to the bus station where you can get buses to anywhere in the island
The studios are equipped with a small fridge,a two hobs kitchen, two sauce pans/coffee machine/glasses/knifes....
WiFi in the whole hotel is free of charge
Friendly staff and happy to assist.
Very good value for money
Weather from the 7th to the 12th December 2014 was warm with an average of 24 Celcius degrees in the afternoon and 18 at night.

La camera era troppo grande e semivuota, con solo il letto, due comodini, un armadio e un cassettone, senza una gradita poltroncina o almeno una sedia per appoggiarsi guardando la TV. L’angolo cottura era fornito di un misero fornello con una sola piastra (di fabbricazione tedesca 😳) e di pochissime stoviglie senza l’ombra di un coltello. Il collegamento WiFi era debolissimo in camera da letto ed utilizzabile solo vicino alla porta di ingresso. Solo il bagno era soddisfacentemente fornito, ampio e con tutto l’occorrente.

Zimmer lag im 1 OG. nach hinten raus, blick geht auf eine 10 Meter hohe weiße Wand, dadurch wenig Tageslicht im Zimmer und sehr laut, da alle Geräusche aus den anderen Zimmern in dem kleinen Hinterhof sehr widerhallen. Im Bad keine Seife, Shampoo, Duschgel, kein Fön nicht mal eine Klobürste. Die schwarzen Flecken im Silikon in der Dusche habe ich nicht untersucht, jedoch weiß wohl jeder was das ist. Duscharmatur funktionierte, hat aber schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Zimmer hat eine kleine Küchenzeile, jedoch gibt es kein Geschirr, nicht mal Gläser. Frühstücksbuffet völlig ausreichend, es gibt Brot, Müsli, Flakes, Obst, Konfitüre, Wurst, Käse, Schinken, Kaffee, Tee, Saft und Wasser. WiFi-Empfang sehr schlecht, im Zimmer gar nicht, am Empfang gerade mal so. Lage optimal, nur 10 Meter zur Promenade. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Erittäin hyvällä sijainnilla oleva hotelli, muutaman askeleen päässä rantakadulta. Aamiainen ihan ok, vaikkakin kananmunat ja pekonit puuttuivatkin. Ilmastoinnin puute on hotellin suurin ongelma, oli todella nihkeää nukkua ja jos pidit ikkunaa auki ainakin”sisäpihalle” olevassa huoneessa metelii kaikui rakennusten välisessä kuilussa. Kaksi tähteä näistä syistä ehkä oikeampi arvio.

Mes vacances hors du commun et inoubliables

L’hôtel est idéalement placé à 50 mètres du bord de mer avec sa belle promenade et ses accueillants restaurants et shops. Il est aussi proche d’endroits charmants comme par exemple la typique place Santa Catalina avec ses restaurants populaires, avec dance de salsa en fin de semaine et proche du port.
Les chambres de l’hôtel sont spacieuses et le personnel est très accueillant, à l’écoute et surtout trouve des solutions pour simplifier la vie des clients.
Honnêtement c’est le 7 fois que je passe mes vacances dans cet hôtel en 10 ans et j’y retournerai rien que pour pouvoir piquer une tête dans la mer le matin, visiter facilement la ville et l’île, me relaxer en fin d’après-midi sur la plage et dans mer et boire une bière fraîche vue mer en face du soleil couchant au bord de la plage. Tout cela avec la bénédiction et la compétence souriante et bienveillante du personnel (et du Directeur) de l’hôtel.
Merci à ses dernier d’avoir fait en sorte que mes vacances soient merveilleuses

Helt ok hotel, dock obekväma sängar, kändes som tältsängar med tjock madrass!

Otroligt simpel frukost, det fanns rostebröd, baguett, skinka, ost. Ibland tomater!

1 yoghurt och juice!

Kommer antagligen inte boka igen, dock funkar det om inget annat finns ledigt!

Perfekt läge

Vi har bott på Faycan tidigare och visste att läget är suveränt med närhet till allt i Las palmas stad. De har lite olika typer av rum och denna gång fick vi ett stort rum med havsutsikt vilket vi blev glada över. Frukosten är enkel men fullt tillräcklig. Extra plus är solterrassen på taket där man blåsiga dagar ändå kan njuta av solen i lä. Vi kommer tillbaka!

Lo único bueno el personal de recepción. La limpieza bien, pero mejorable. El estado general lamentable, todo muy viejo y sin conservación ni mantenimiento, grifos oxidados, ventanas que no cierran bien,... Pero lo peor, la falta de aislamiento acústico, muchísimo ruido proveniente de otras habitaciones, dando la impresión que estaban o ocupadas por familias enteras, como si de su propia vivienda se tratase.

Una estafa no recomendable

El hotel es de loa años 60 si reformar, el no tiene aire acondicionado, pero no es que no funcione, no tiene, sucio, viejo, roto, por 85€ la noche es una estafa, el personal pobre muy buen trato pero está las instalaciones lamentables, muy mal muy muy muy mal.

Slidt hotel. Vores værelse 607 vendte ind mod gården, så vi kiggede lige ind i en mur. Dejligt med tagterrasse. Dejlig morgenmad. Ligger meget tæt på Strandpromenaden og ca. 1 km fra busterminalen. Hvis vi kommer igen, vil vi bo ud til gaden.

Service på topp på dette hotellet som nesten ligger på Playa De Canteras. Vi er godt fornøyd mrd oppholdet, 3 netter. Et hotel vi ikke ser bort fra at vi velger om vi kommer tilbake. Rommet var romslig og betjeningen hjelpsom.

Perfekt läge!

Bra läge mycket nära stranden. Fullt godkänd frukost. Extra plus med altan längst upp med solstolar. Rummet var ganska stort med både kylskåp och kokmöjligheter.
