I was only there for a week and I should’ve stayed longer. All of the staff was very nice and helpful and I speak very little Spanish but a few of the staff spoke English and google translator helped too. It’s in walking distance to restaurants, shops, whatever you need or a short cab or Uber ride. It’s not like a major hotel chain but I prefer that when I travel. They were very knowledgeable about Medellin and were concerned about me being safe. I would definitely stay there again!

The courtyard is gorgeous, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast menu was great and the food was delicious, and the vibe was very safe and peaceful. Our room was very small, but this ended up being okay because we were out often and the weather was clear, so we could sit out in the courtyard/dining area.

Even for a 3 star hotel this place was pretty average. The sheets and towels were clean but they had stains on them. I could hear people on the stairs or in the lobby from my room. The hotel doesn’t have an elevator so you’d have to take your luggage up and down the stairs yourself. No the staff won’t offer to help with that. On the plus side: The room was spacious and the water pressure in the bathroom was great.

The staff was friendly and the location was nice and quiet but still a close walkable distance to where all of the action is. The only issue would be that you probably need to catch a taxi back since the hotel is up on a hill. The room looked fine and the shower and bathroom were nice and it always had hot water even though it sometimes took a while to get warm. The DOWNSIDES of the property were that I often noticed stains on the sheets and towels AND the bed was rock hard and uncomfortable. I addressed it with the front desk on the first day I arrived and they acted as though there was nothing they could do. I put a couple of blankets underneath me but it still did not help. It wasn't until after a couple of days had passed and I got so sore that I was about to check out early that they \"did something to the bed\" that made it a lot more comfortable and bearable when I continued to use the 2 blankets. Yet this should have been done before I was driven to want to leave early

This hotel impressed from the start, when I called to set up transport from the airport. Lorena was very kind and made sure that everything went smoothly. The rest of the staff was also very courteous and always helpful. In addition, the facilities were comfortable, with high ceilings in my bedroom and a beautiful breakfast area. I'll definitely make sure to stay here again whenever my travels take me to Medellín.

Super Value, peaceful lush location

I was quite surprised by this hotel and very happy as I left.

The staff was pretty good, with two of the men speaking decent English.

The bad:
-Only 2 English-speaking staff.
-The lighting in room 3 is AWFUL. 1 central light for bedroom and same for bath. low-watt LED (which I hate.) Speaking with another guest, this may be a limited issue.

The MEH:
-The bed is mediocre. Hard.
-Towels would never be considered “fluffy.”
-Many power outlets (good) but very hard to find at night with the poor lighting (bad)
-No full-service bar or kitchen to order a snack or cocktail during storm watching or just enjoying the patio (boutique, so what do you expect?) Beer available.

The good:
-Location is 8-10 minutes' walk from Provenza, which is a trending area of restaurants, etc., but it is also away from the hustle.
-Property: the dining \"room\" is a covered patio giving guests a great vantage point for the landscape and weather.
-Fixtures, from AC to sink are modern and good quality

Good and bad, not Hotel’s responsibility:
-The climate is great, if you like mild, moist and green.
-I stayed while some inconsiderate Columbians were there. Loud, in general, and some of the young ones liked to play videos and horrid autotune noise in public areas without headphones. (I’m sure staff would have intervened, had I complained, but I just moved on when it annoyed me.)

Be sure to use their airport shuttle as it is cheaper than a taxi.

Arrived late night. The place is definitely not like any other hotel I stayed in Medellin. It was quaint, more like a place I stayed in the village of Jardin. Not in what I would call a poppin area, but taxis, didis, and Uber’s are so cheap in Medellin that getting around is easy. They still use regular keys. It was nice that it had AC. Random note: best conditioner I’ve ever used, packaged in individual use paper packets which feels better than wasting more plastic in this world. I imagine the check in process is smoother during the day, I arrived late night and the check in guy was less than perfect, but still nice.

This is true gem in El Poblado. If you are looking for a clean, simple, well located, well maintained boutique hotel 5 min walk from the action (Parque Lleras).
Thhs is the perfect spot.
I stayed there a couple of nights after i got tired of those international chain hotels in the area.

Very kind personnel, spacious room and bathroom, not fancy, but very functional. Yes, it is on top of hills (like most places in El Poblado), so a 3 min climb perfect for staying in shape.

Will definitely stay there next time i come to Medellin.

The hotel list small but has a beautiful garden and ambience. It would be outstanding if the furniture in the room was updated. The bed creaks with every movement and has sharp edges that hurt if you accidentally bump into it. The breakfast is fresh not a buffet but does not cater to anyone with allergies or intolerances. Overall, the staff are pleasant and helpful.

Too much hassle for a \"boutique\" hotel.

To the hotel's credit, the beds and room were very comfortable. Wifi was okay, and the hotel seemed perfectly safe. However, during a four night stay there was NO hot water available. At best, the cold edge was taken out of what would have otherwise been very cold water. So if you can shower in chilly water, okay, but I expect a hot shower in a hotel, especially one that holds itself out as a boutique hotel, that was more expensive than many other local options.
First excuse from the desk (when anyone was present, the desk was often unattended) was that a technician was working on it, then that it was fixed (which it wasn't), etc etc. After a while you give up. Everything with the staff at this hotel was an indifferent shrug, for the most part.
Breakfast was four or five choices off a menu, not a buffet. While the food wasn't garbage, it was what you'd expect at a two star guesthouse, not a boutique hotel. Coffee was brought out from the kitchen in a cup, never poured into your cup from a pot, and I'm sure it was instant even though the kitchen attendant insisted otherwise. You really want to drink instant coffee, in Colombia?
The hotel is on a very steep incline, while it is only a few 100 meters from an active area (bars, restaurants, etc) the walk each time got old quick.
My room safe was mounted on the top shelf in the closet, forcing me to use a chair to reach it. My much taller friend's was on a lower shelf. Minor detail but still a pain. Stay elsewhere.

Nice little boutique hotel, 25 minute walk to metro but was within the $5mil(COP) minimum taxi charge. The hotel is 5 - 10 minute, rather step walk to Zona Rosa which had lots of places to eat and was safe because the police were always visible.

Clean and comfortable room although noisy as it faced the street. Secure WiFi but sometimes slow. Breakfast so-so, always the same so quickly got boring.

We locked our key in the room but they had no spare key!!! We waited an hour and a half for them to call a locksmith and finally open the door...ridiculously poor management to not have a spare key!

Andrea and the night clerk gentleman with the big smile were both especially nice.

Better than the Big Box Hotels

The location La Campana Hotel is good, close to the action in the Poblado neighborhood. The room was spotless and comfortable. What makes this place better than the \"big box\" hotels is that guys who run run this hotel care about their hotel, their reputation and your comfort. Also the have a lovely courtyard to enjoy. I believe these are local entrepreneurs, who deserve and need the support of the traveling public.

The hotel is small, but is very nice. We had a room with two twin beds that were combined into a very comfortable king bed, thereby getting around the double bed option. Most rooms have vaulted wood ceilings and are nicely appointed. The staff are wonderful and the front desk staff speak English which is a plus. The breakfast is good and the setting is very nice.

If I were to stay again I would ask for a room on the back of the hotel. The street in front is on an incline and the motorcycles and trucks going up it are very loud.

We found bedbugs in not one but two rooms

After two nights staying here, we realized our room was infested with bedbugs (we found actual bedbugs along with the bites all over our bodies). The staff showed us a room we could move to, before agreeing we inspected the new room and found it had bedbugs as well. The staff offered to wash our clothes for us but there was no manager on site which wasn't surprising since we hadn't seen a manager there for our entire stay. If two separate rooms had bedbugs, I'm sure others do as well.

Spacious room with lots of amenities. Nice walk-in shower. Helpful, friendly staff. Laundry service for $14,000/kilo. Easy walk to lots of restaurants, or a short taxi ride to Poblado metro station (Uber is cheaper than regular taxis at about 4,500 pesos). Good breakfast is included with small fruit plate, egg, and bread. I got a huge discount on the room through this site compared with booking directly with the hotel.

Right now there is a construction site across the street with varying levels of noise from about 7am to 5pm. Not really a huge deal for me as I was usually gone during those hours.

Was in Medellin for a bachelor party. We'd be staying in a large house. I arrived a day early and wanted someplace cheap but decent. La Camapana was great! The breakfast alone was worth more than what I paid! The staff were very friendly and very helpful. I asked to borrow an iron and instead the manager ironed my shirt for me. I will definitely be back.

Nice boutique hotel in the center of El Poblado.

This hotel is a nice alternative to the big chains. It is clean, pleasant, good Colombian breakfast, and the staff was friendly. The room was a good size and the accommodations, although not as modern, were acceptable. It is not luxurious, but it is a quaint, pretty, clean place. The best part of this hotel is that it is located in the safest neighborhood, nice quiet, and a desk attendant 24/7.

Though this hotel was a little removed from central thoroughfares, I absolutely appreciated the quietness of the neighborhood. It was a very short walk to a major street with numerous dining options. A bit longer walk to the nearest Metro stop but I don't mind the exercise.

Loved boutique hotel size and setting. We loved eating breakfast outdoors. Enjoyed tours that staff helped set up. Serene setting except for building construction across the street, and traffic noise due to single-pane Windows and gaps. Original art work was a treat.

The walk back from the metro would have been torture, if not for the taxis. Many amenities within walking distance.

My Stay at La Campana Hotel

The hotel is located off the major thoroughfare, which would have been ideal for tranquility, HOWEVER, construction of a high rise across the street was very noisy. The hammering and noise of the construction commenced at 7:30 AM.
All of the service personnel were courteous, but were not well versed in English. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Each room came with an in-room safe and a split system A/C. The room rates were quite attractive. The walls of this hotel are quite thin and NOT insulated; I could hear snoring in the adjoining room. This hotel is a two story walkup, so large suitcases needed to be carried up the stairs by the guest or with the help of the hotel staff at the front desk.

I like the intimacy of \"boutqieu\" hotels and felt very welcome and comfortable. The location was in a quiet and pretty part of El Poblado just minutes from the center of the neighborhood but without the noise and clutter. While the walk to the Metro was a full half-hour, I became used to and much enjoyed this walk. The setting was so pretty, full of greenery, and the breakfast room opened onto a patio with a small waterfall and lovely tropical plants. The room was spacious and comfortable. I was welcome and given whatever guidance I needed.

I loved this hotel, it was a great value for the high quality of service and the rooms. I liked the small, intimate setting and that it was close to downtown restaurants and attractions in the Poblado neighborhood, but at enough of a distance to be away from the late-night noise in the area. All of the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating and I would stay here again without a doubt.

Great room for a great price!

Very, very nice boutique hotel in an upscale area that's very close to shopping and restaurants, yet it feel like you're a ways out of the city. There were trees around the hotel as well as single family homes and towers of apartments. A good mix. Not a big commercial, noisy area.

My only issue was that I could hear the TV and conversations in another room at night. There was a little street noise, but that's hard to escape unless you're on a high floor in a high-rise building (which this is not).

I had a nice breakfast at the hotel. The lobby was very nice and comfortable-looking.

Artsy boutique hotel

Great cost/benefit ratio

This was a really nice surprise. Quite cheap (around 35 USD per night) but nice. In a nice neighbourhood, close-ish to nice eating and bar areas. The surrounding area is nice, and the service is really great. But some details could be fixed (broken toothpaste holders, etc...)

I found this hotel excellent. It is in a quiet area of Poblado but there are good restaurants in the vicinity. It is a small concern and the staff are very helpful. It is tastefully decorated. I would certainly use it again.

Great place for the price

This is great hotel, in a good quiet neighborhood. The upside is the hotel is in good condition, rooms are very clean, breakfast is excellent and the staff is nice and helpful. The downside is the rooms do not have AC and they get a little hot during the day.

Private but not remote

A relatively quiet street in a nice and safe neighbourhood, but centrally located. No air conditioning but ceiling fan with open windows will do the trick. Taxes and insurance should be added to advertised rate or at least mentioned.
