We felt the apartment was in a great location and walking distance to many tourist destinations and food options. The two bedroom apartment was very comfortable and spacious for our party of three. Check in process through email was very easy. We had no issues. Communication was quick and effective. We were able to store our luggage for 1 Euro since we arrived early. I would recommend this apartment to friends and family that want a larger space than a hotel room while visiting Barcelona. Our balconies did face a busy street and we could hear traffic from the first floor, but we knew to expect that. We are very happy we chose this accomodation.

We absolutely loved the area - was walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go, loads of shops and restaurants, cafes and gelaterias for us to frequent. There is no front desk, no service and you get 1 roll of toilet paper however long you’re staying or however many people… so buy TP once you get there! There is a washing machine in the unit and a balcony as well as a drying rack - so we were able to do laundry. There was no proper frying pan so we were cooking eggs in a pot 😂🙈
The unit is old. There is what looks like black mold in the bathroom and the rooms are quite tiny and weirdly shaped.
Overall it grew on us and we had a wonderful time, but not sure Id pick this apartment again

I would never recommend this hotel!!
The communication with this hotel is terrible. And you can’t get inside the building without a code. The back and forth with this hotel was a nightmare. They were extremely rude and I didn’t get the info until the day after our check in date. When we arrived the lady working the building was screaming at us and told us we couldn’t check in. (There is no check in desk) be very aware. This is a nice building but we also ran into people that were never given a code. They were stuck outside in 90 degree weather. I let them in the building.

The apartment was nice and a great location. However, incompletely stocked (no paper towels, no mittens for the stove, minimal amount of toilet paper and bathroom utilities, etc) Laundry was available but no drier so had to look for outside options.
Also, in order to turn on lights you had to use one of the key cards to turn it in which we had no clue on hot to do this and had to call the number online which is customer service line to explain this- not a specific number to where we were staying.

Check-in procedure was very well communicated. The apartment is at excellent location, everything is so convenient. Only one thing I dont feel comfortable: a lot of personal information like passport number, home address, etc had to be provided for pre-check in.

The apartment was very nice. Only weird thing is that the bathroom is located right off the bedroom and the door was right next to the bed- a bit tight there. The washing machine in the apartment was great. No dryer but they did have a drying rack that was large enough to accommodate 2 small loads of laundry. Great kitchen area. Wonderful view/balcony. Check in has to be done at the machine once you enter the building (it issues you room cards- so that’s great). The heat in the room has to be turned on- the card needs to be put in the slot at door entry and that’s what powers the apartment (separate button to turn on the heat though).

We like that this apartment block is walking distance to almost everything. We could see the top of the Sagrada Familia from our balcony. There are cafes and restaurants nearby. Good access to a metro station. Sound proofing is good. Two things can be improved: provision of coffee pods for the coffee machine and the bathroom area. It is always damp due to a lack of ventilation. Water also leaks from the shower screen so the floor is always wet, the bath towels have been put to the test.

MH apartments is a very good option to stay in Barcelona. The apartment is very well located. The neighbor has a lot of restaurants a walking distance to Sagrada Familia and Paseo de Gràcia. the apartment was just perfect for 4 but could accommodate upto 6 persons. place is close to restaurants and many tourist attractions. My only comment is they should provide cleaning products for the duration of stay not just for one day use. overall the place was quite and clean.

the property was the perfect size for 2 people, the kitchen was fully kitted out with dishwasher and washing machine, there was a hole in the kitchen ceiling which looks like it was made to access some issue, it was next to an access panel which i take it was jammed so it couldn't be used, maybe cover the hole?

I enjoyed the location. There were three Metro stations between 3-10 minutes walk. Also, there were multiple options of good quality groceries including a municipal market and small supermarkets around. Taxis were affordable and easy to find. The kitchen was good enough to prepare some meals. Appliances were good they had induction stove. They clean once a week that was ok. You have to buy supplies such as toilet paper, etc. The shower was not clean.

We arrived at 10:00am. The hotel doesn't provide you with a pin number to enter the hotel, so basically you have to wait until someone opens the front door. Next, there isn't a live person in the lobby, just a computer like St And where you enter your name to check in. Our names were not found, we had to call the number listed . Once we reached someone they told us check in was at 3:00pm and that we could leave our luggage in a locker and to just deposit in Euro . We there wasn't such a slot to deposit any euro.we came back at 3 and were able to check in. The rooms were a nice size and location was really Central. The beds were kind of hard, but overall a vs stay.

The apartment and location was amazing and within in walking distance to Casa Mila, Casa Battlo as well as the Sagrada Familia. As per Hotels.com my check-out time was 12 noon and the attendant for MH Suites was rude and told us to get out by 11am. Showed her my check-out time as per Hotels.com and she stated she didn't care. Other than that, the view and location was amazing in an Upper Scale area and I would be booking here again next year for my annual Mediterrean Cruise.

This was absolutely the worst experience I've had in my life. Check-in was a nightmare. We arrived from the U.S. at 8:00 a.m. When we arrived at the apartments around 10:00 a.m., the door was locked. We got in when someone came out. You can only check in by the computer that is in the lobby. The computer systerm was a nightmare in itself. I called the number on the phone next to the computer (as close as you'll get to a live person at the property) and spoke to very rude woman who told me this was only one of 11 of their properties and the computer would not work until 2pm. There were only 2 lockers to store bags. I have been traveling internationally for many years and have always had the option to check in earlier. When we arrived back at 2:30pm, we were able to get our key. We went to the room which hadn't been cleaned yet. We called Hotels.com and asked for a refund. They checked with the property and advised me we couldn't get a refund. We finally got checked into another room at 3:30pm. Everyone we spoke to while we were waiting said check-in had been a nightmare for them too. There was no tourist information in the apartment...not even a walking map or brochures for sites to see while in Barcelona. The apartment was marginally clean. I will never use Hotels.com again. And for those arriving into Barcelona in the morning, this property is not for you.

Stay was comfortable, however the procedure for check in was very tedious in as much the Pass Word for the door is given when you reach MH Appt & when requested one day in advance it as refused. Once you enter the main door further process is very complicated for paying the city Tax & release of Key of Appt.

The apartment is unicated in a calm and beautifull neighborhood, unfortunatelly we arrived to the city early in the morning and check in is at 2pm so we had to walk around for 4 hours..
There is no lobby, heads up!! You have to dial a number showed at the door of the building and they will give you a code to access and leave your luggage there...
The place was great with a balcony and street view, the only thing is that everyday, the 4th person that needed to take a shower wouldnt do it with hot water.. Imagine that for 3 days in a row..

Convenient to everything - walking or by Metro
We stayed on a busy corner in the Eixample. I was expecting it to be loud but it was actually quiet with the doors closed. It was very clean and had all the conveniences we needed. Plenty of towels and they were a nice quality. Free wi-fi, coffee maker, hairdryer. The staff was easily accessible by phone and helpful. Otherwise we didn't see anyone or need to. We loved the location. Quick and easy walk to the main metro lines, bus to Parc Guell, airport train, and we made several walks to and from the Gotico. Yummy restaurants within walking distance and a cool little market. We were about 6 blocks from La Sagrada Familia, which made for pleasant evening strolls. Safe area. You never know what you're going to get but we lucked out. We loved it!

Good location and cafes/markets close by. Check in was not too difficult but hotel only assigned 1 bedroom apt for 4 adults. They did respond to concerns and made arrangements to provide us the 2 bedroom that was booked. Amenities were good but second bedroom was quite small for two adults - more suitable for two children and television was quite small. Wifi had good strength.

The location was great, only a few blocks from the busy tourist area. The neighbourhood was residential. I had heard that the hotel entry system could be confusing, but we had no problems. We contacted MH the day before and received a code to enter the door. Following the check in on the machine was quite easy. This is not a good spot for those travellers that require concierge service since the apartments are managed remotely.

Apartment has a nice layout and full size kitchen even had a washer! nice touch that the basic kitchen supplies were provided as we arrived late at night.

Great apartment in quiet part of Eixample
Very clean, practical apartment in the quieter part of Eixample. Well located albeit a bit far from main shopping drag. Being in Barcelona, the apartment is close to metro. There is no on-site reception and check in is via automated machine (which I don't mind). Phone service is unfriendly at times. Neighbours in the building can be noisy - as some backpackers overcrowd some apartments as party venue. Wifi is very very slow - don't expect to Skype unless you brought your own remote wifi

Nice apartment but.....
Self check in so had to phone company to access code to enter building upon arrival. Expedia did not provide code. Apartment nice and tidy. One night had room next door having a party till 2.30 am and 7.30 woke up with loud music. After complaining via email I was assisted with staff dealing with my concerns.
Room door handle was broken upon arrival maintence was unable to repair fully so used door knob to enter in and out of the room.
Towels refreshed if you stay 7 nights plus. Towards the last few days we had to purchase toilet roll.
Local supermarket and metro was good and in a good location to attractions.

Great place to stay that is central, but not too central to be noisy or irritating. This location was a good spot to access all main sites and shopping by foot or by the metro stop close by. Loved the fact that there was a large indoor market to pickup fresh groceries. The building and unit were very nice and clean. I would go back and I have already recommended the place to some friends.

Fine for one night
This could be a great place, but unfortunately our room was not in good condition. When we arrived we had trouble getting a key via the kiosk. The service agent was very helpful and told us the cleaning staff would provide it, and they were quick about it. Our room was actually still in the process of being cleaned even though it was after the check in time. No harm there since we were just dropping stuff off to head back out, but we noticed the bathroom sink was clogged and not usable. We mentioned it and it was serviced before out return. But once we were in the apt for the evening we could see it had really only been refreshed with linens. The surfaces were dusty and it seemed just kind of dirty everywhere except the kitchen. I opened the balcony doors and one of the exterior shutters fell off the wall towards me - and they are huge. Luckily I had not actually stepped outside. There were extra pillows but no pillowcases and an extra duvet but no cover; only top sheets. The layout of the apt was nice and it would have been quite comfortable if it did not feel like it was dirty and things were breaking around us. Overall it was disappointing. I'd like to say I would give it a second chance but realistically would not.

Exceptional location, exceptional value.
We were two mature couples on our first visit to Barcelona, staying 4 nights. The apartment location was sensational, in a neighbourhood crammed with beautiful architecture, great restaurants, a market and several mini marts. The streets were lovely and we were within walking distance of many great attractions. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and well appointed and exceptional value. (The only minor negative is that the single bathroom is small, but perfectly functional).

No frills, no staff, rude phone support
This is no frills and the staff, wherever they are, are very rude and unhelpful. We arrived to find there was no toilet paper, so I called the number--international call on my cell phone. The man told me that since it was after 6pm, we'd have to wait until 10am so we should just go buy some ourselves. When I asked if there was really nothing else that could be done he started lecturing me on how I was acting all entitled and waiting 14 hours is no big deal. It could have easily escalated into a full-blown argument since that seems like what he was shooting for with his tone, but I just hung up and bough toilet paper.
The place was not clean either, probably because the cleaning staff that forgot the toilet paper probably looked over a lot of other things as well. Not at all recommended.

Excellestep apartments very clean and comfortable kitchen has all modern appliances and good array of utensils. Excellent location for exploring the city, with some small cafes on door step proving drinks at reasonable prices found locals very friendly. Only one negative you need a entry code as it's a auto check in this appears to be an error by Expedia as other guests booking through a different agents are provided with entry code before arrival.

We had a great time in Spain and the apartment was in a great location. We walked everywhere and the subway was very close. There are many shops, bakeries and restaurants in the area.The proximity to the Conception Market could not be beat.
