The rooms were clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathrooms were very spacious. One thing to keep in mind is to consider the location: if you are doing many things near the ramblas, etc. you won’t necessarily be able to come back to the hotel in the middle of the day for rest as it is quite out of the way. Otherwise, everything was amazing!

I have a long review for the Acta Laumon, but please bear with me. It started when British Airways lost our luggage. We flew in 4 days before our cruise from Barcelona, and I'd reserved the Acta Laumon not knowing much about the area, only that it had a three bedroom two bath apartment that would suit our family of 4 adults and a 7 year old. The Sagrera neighborhood was nowhere near most tourist attractions, so it was an iffy decision. It turned out to be an amazing familial area with great dining a couple of blocks away, and a great store where we were able to buy clothes and food nearby. The neighborhood was active with lots of regular families and and dog walkers. I felt safe and was able to watch and participate in real Barcelona life. We made friends with the pharmacist on the corner (never leave your meds in checked luggage) and the hotel staff was beyond amazing. We were in constant contact and they helped us through and even contacted the airline on our behalf every day. We ended up getting our luggage about 8 hours before the cruise started. It was a blessing in disguise. We didn't just stay in Barcelona, we lived there for a few days and the neighborhood was just amazing. I would absolutely recommend Acta Laumon as highly as any 5 star hotel in Barcelona. It's hard to overstate how much they helped us and how great the neighborhood was.

The property itself is a great base for exploring Barcelona, the Metro is a 5 minute walk away and there are plenty of local bars and restaurants nearby so that you can get good food and drink cheaper than in the centre of Barcelona. My only issue is the lack of a kettle and fridge in the room, yes there is a communal coffee maker in the lobby but I can’t have coffee so having to go out and find a cafe every morning for a cup of tea was a bit of an issue for me.

The staff was great! At first glance the apartment looked clean but it smelled so bad we had to wear face masks for a few hours. The metal shudders we were told had to remain closed and that we had to do all the cleaning other wise a $300 cleaning fee would be charged. The hot water lasted less than 10 minutes and did not replenish in the morning like we thought it might.

I had the Miniroom and it was the most depressing hotel room I've ever had to live in. There was barely a window (think a slit in the wall) and it was small and poorly lit. There were also random scuffs along the wall. I think I spent the first hour of my stay just being sad and depressed that I would have to live there. To be fair though, the hotel staff were very nice. The room was just depressing as hell.

It has to be said that the hotel is nowhere near the city centre or the airport, but if you're comfortable with getting around by metro, then you should definitely consider this property, as it is located close to the La Sagrera stop. It is a modern building in a quiet neighbourhood. There are all kinds of shops, cafes and other amenities within a walking distance. The room was very good, and had everything I needed, including free wi-fi. The front desk is 24h, and staff are very helpful. The hotel does not have its own parking, but there are some parking garages nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room smelled of bleach, the floors were lifting, the bathroom was full of black mould, the room was tiny and the air-conditioner didn't work (it was hot) and I could go on but I'll stop - On the positive, the staff were friendly and helpful and we had a nice window.

Some negatives —no paper towels or napkins in kitchen, no Kleenex in bathrooms , in master bedroom the wooden floor was very dinged up/deep gashes (we had to put down a towel so we wouldn’t get splinters), one bed had a large space between mattress and wall so that pillows would fall down to floor. Great hotel for price and accessibility

Went away with 2 other friends all early 20s. Great hotel situated 5 minuets from the metro and only a 15 minute metro to Las Rambles. The room was extremely tidy and modern cleaned everyday. Aircon worked superbly, if anything to well and the room was too cold. With a supermarket round the corner made an easy and cheap alternative to the €8 breakfast on offer. Only negative being no fridge in the room to help chill water and other items. Other than that an extremely pleasant stay. Would very much recommend, especially for a group of friends looking for a cheap room close to Barcelona.

This hotel is in a quite part of town with access to the Metro very close by which make it a good place to go with family. There is a square near where we ate the best tapas.
The hotel is new and clean. The room are big enough, TV, however the bed are quite hard. No tea/coffee.

I always stay here when in Barcelona because it is located close to my family. It's a boutique hotel that caters to the scholastic community of the area. Tourist be advised--it is not in the center of things if you're looking to be in the middle of the city. That being said, it is near a metro station 4 blocks away.

Hotel Laumon is a nice hotel, close to La Sagrera metro station. We found the modern, triple room to be very clean, with a good shower and very quiet. There is a cafe in the hotel which offers breakfasts and other meals. The coffee and croissants were nice and reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend this hotel and would be happy to re-book.

Great Place to Stay in Barcelona

The hotel is located in a quiet area in a non-tourist area of Barcelona. It is a modern, well-kept hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. We found the location very charming as we intermingled with locals and their daily routines. The Metro station was a 5 minute walk, which would take us to anywhere we wanted to go in Barcelona. Great Location for the Subway Rider

Although it's significantly far from the city center, the hotel is located within a few minutes walk from a subway station. One of the exits leads straight toward the hotel. On average, it took about 15-20 minutes to get to the city center (La Rambla) from the hotel. In addition to the hotel's restaurant, there are many restaurants and sidewalk cafes nearby. There's also a pharmacy, a couple banks and grocery stores.

Although the majority of the breakfast items were cold and never rotated, I never left the hotel hungry. On the second day, I was surprised by the warm ham & cheese croissant sandwiches. I'm glad to have opted for the breakfast plan and would do it again.

I've stayed at many hotels but never one in which the roomkey was required to operate the lights and TV. Once I removed the key from its holder, they turned off and turned back on when the key was re-inserted. My only concern is that the room AC may have turned off and I had purchased some chocolates as gifts.

I don't know if any of the rooms has a bathtub as mine didn't. The shower did have both a rain showerhead and a handheld one. There's a column in the middle of the bathroom next to the toilet seat. Even with the column, the bathroom was specious enough for one person.

The staff is very friendly and accomodating and speaks English fluently. It was odd that some did not suggest the same places to eat and visit as I overheard them suggesting to other North American tourist.

Not very close to all the main attractions but good metro links so not too much of an issue. The room was always cleaned really well. And good air conditioning.
The bed was like sleeping on concrete, almost unbearable. The only English speaking TV channel in the room was CNBC (nothing but stocks, finance and business stuff) which I thought was an odd and frankly boring choice!

We had 6 nights in this small, boutique hotel. The room and ensuite were very clean and quite spacious; the bedding was very comfortable (king sized bed) and the water pressure and temperature were consistently good. The hotel is 6 metro stops from the centre of Barcelona activity, Catalyuna Place. The metro station is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and it's very easy to make your way around the Metro system - even for the uninitiated like us. The hotel reception staff were especially friendly and helpful - making our stay a real pleasure. There are loads of cafés and restaurants nearby, which are frequented by locals- so it's an authentic Spanish experience. The only downside was the WiFi signal in our room wasn't strong enough to maintain a consistent connection, we did most of our photo uploads and emails from the reception area.

Modern clean hotel

A clean modern hotel in an outer area of Barcelona. Metro a few minutes walk away makes easy access to city centre. Hotel very small with only a tiny cafe so no areas to relax except your own room. Room was adequate size, beds a bit hard for our liking and no tea or coffee making facilities. Breakfast was available for 8 euros a head but we did not have it. No nice views outside the windows but a perfect hotel for a short stay. We were there for the Grand Prix so ideal for us as was just a base.

Fantastic value stay

Hotel Laumon is located slightly out of town, but less than a 5 minute walk from a well connected metro station that leaves you about 20 minutes from the city centre. We did not find the hotel's location an inconvenience at all. The hotel has a very modern feel about it, which we liked. Our room had a few marks on the wall and other very minor imperfections but overall we slept well and found the hotel to be excellent value for money!

Hidden Amongst One Way Streets

Finding the hotel was non-trivial, given Barcelona's one way streets, avenues one cannot turn across and streets which look just like pedestrian plazas.The staff at the hotel were very helpful and spoke functional English. The room did develop an odd smell if the window was closed for any time, but opening the window freshened the air and removed the smell (perhaps surprisingly as Barcelona streets do whiff a bit). The bathroom was accessible ie it had fittings suitable for someone in a wheelchair or with other mobility problems.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Only thing I was disappointed with was there is no fridge with drinks in the room and no room service. Would recommend to friends if you don't mind travelling into the centre in public transport as taxis too expensive. Wouldn't have been too concerned if it was cooler but in the heat in july just a bit if a mission!!

The hotel was just 150m from a subway station which made everything accessible. The nearby main street, Meridiana, had all the shops and restaurants needed. The staff was exceptionally nice and everyone spoke enough English to make us comfortable. Well worth the stay!

Decent, but not great

The main redeeming factor is the super-close metro, but the neighborhood itself is far away. It only mattered to us once when we were traveling to the hotel after the metro had closed, I think it was a $15-$20 cab ride. There are several restaurants near by for breakfast, theirs is not bad but a little pricey.
The hotel staff was very nice and helpful.
The website was useful with directions from the airport as to which train and metro to take.
The two downsides we experienced are the the beds were very firm and the walls were thin.

The bathroom was huge, towels were changed all the times. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was only 5 minutes to the metro station and 15 minutes to the city centre with the metro. Ofrece una buena solución para alojar un grupo de cinco en un apartamento muy confortable. Un poco enredado lo del parqueadero pero cuenta con ese servicio y es muy práctico. Hacen unas retenciones por si acaso uno deja sucia la losa y son insistentes con eso.

L'appartement 3 chambres est propre, grand et bien agencé, l'hôtel est tout près d'une station de métro.

L'équipe est sympathique, j'ai apprécié aussi le parking privé en face de l'hôte.

J'y retournerai avec plaisir.

Fair facilities but nice location

The location is good, near to the metro station! It seems located at residential area, quiet and comfy.
However, no fridge and no kettle thingy provided in the room! If u want a coffee, need to buy downstairs

Rent og pænt

Pænt rent værelse, dog lidt småt. Ikke meget plads til tøj, kun 3 bøjler. Mangler mulighed for at kunne lave kaffe/te på værelset. Fin morgenbuffet og venligt personale.
God afstand til metro, indkøb og restauranter.
