The room was clean daily and cleaning staff was good. The breakfast was good. The
front Desk staffs are just okay. I was slipped in the tub when I took a shower. My nose was bleeding, my head and my right side of my leg were all bruised. My friend was almost fell too when she took a shower. We reported the incident. But the front desk staff told me to avoid the slippery issue, just put a towel on the tub. Who would ever think that when you are on vacation. They need to provide a non-slip mats.

Nice, clean, and decent, but nowhere near 4-star vibes—more like a solid 3. Friendly staff, though they can look a bit messy. Rooms are tidy but basic, missing that upscale polish. The mall next door is handy if you’re into shopping, but getting downtown or around the city isn’t convenient. Good for a quick stay, not a luxurious getaway.

Sad that my 15 year old couldn’t use the spa pool.
Also it would be nice if there were more options for refreshments in room. Only 2 small milks was nowhere near enough and no wee biscuits or cookies. I always look forward to a cup of tea or two and wee biscuit/cookie after a long journey and before bed

Top Notch hotel

This Catalonia location is right next to an outdoor shopping plaza that has several restaurants, stores, supermarket - movie theatre it has it all.

Concierge staff were amazing, very welcoming, attentive and ready to support. The room had a comfortable bed, nice bathroom and large window.

The restaurant served a delicious breakfast buffet 15 euros, and also served lunch and dinner. Food was always hot and delicious. Their hosts/hostesses were also very helpful and ready to please.

Buses H6 & H8 were frequent and took you close enough into the city with nice scenery along the way. The subway is a quick 5min H5 bus ride or 15 minute walk. Explore the plaza nearby it's cute and very typical of Spanish neighborhoods. Definitely recommend and will stay again!

Room was really small, single bed. Was charged accordingly. Glad to have a clean, comfortable place to stay overnight without paying an arm and a leg. Sofia at the front desk and dining room staff all were exceptional. Sophia called the taxi and even went outside to show me where the taxi was parked and to make sure I got in. Breakfast had just ended five minutes before, but the staff cooked eggs and bacon fresh for me and then cooked toast even though I had not asked for toast. They were smiling and friendly when they could easily have said sorry we are closed and you missed breakfast. Breakfast was a free buffet, so I didn’t expect fresh cooked food to order.

The hotel is in a great location, just 2 or 3 min walk to Westfield shopping centre. The room was ok, however, it looks dated and could use some renovation. Pillow options would be also appreciated.

Note that although parking is available onsite, it is very limited so make sure you call and confirm availability before you book your room.

WE had three night break here. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. Most of the staff are great. Special thanks to Louis and Patrica. The Spa/wellnesss area is fabulous. Finished our stay with one of the best massages ever, courtesy of the magic hands of Aldana. Only downsides, approx. 15 minute walk to metro and no tea/ coffee making facilities in room. Overall, enjoyable stay.

Below are photos of bed bugs I found in my room when I walked in. I was absolutely horrified and went straight back to the front desk. I kindly asked that they give me another room but they refused to do so, and instead told me bring up the matter with the cleaning staff. Needless to say I was downright irate at this point, and demanded that I speak with the manager, but the lady at the front told me that he was away for (conveniently) 3 days (the length of my stay). So you're telling me that the hotel doesn't have a manager for 3 days? You're either lying to to me stay out of trouble, or this hotel truly has a management and staff training issue. I will never, ever stay at a NH hotel again, and will advise my touring agency of this incident and warn my friends and family to stay away from this horrifying place. I've been to tens of hotels in my life, but none have been as terrible as this experience.

This property is extremely clean. It is located on the outskirts of Barcelona. I must admit, I was afraid that the metro line was going to be a hassle to get to after reading the reviews. This is NOT the case. The hotel staff will give you a simple map and the metro line is a 5-7 minute walk away.

I enjoyed my stay and have even recommended it to friends.

Nice clean hotel that met with out needs. Nearby shopping was good but not typically spanish. Some local shops and bars near that were really good. Metro 10 min walk away. Hotel is quite a distance from the centre of Barcelona but it is 'do-able' . If you like to come back to your hotel to change for the evening this can be somewhat inconvenient. Threre are no coffee and tea making facilities in the rooms but you can purchase some from the drink station in receiption.

Staying at NH was great. We were a family and it worked for us just fine. The hotel was really clean and the front desk was extremely helpful and patiently answered all our questions. The beds were comfortable. The hotel also had a homey feeling to it and the breakfast buffet was amazing. La Maquinista Mall is right next to the hotel, literally two minutes by foot, and has a lot of shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and clean.
The only thing we didn't like was its location. It is kind of far from the center. The bus stop doesn't take you to the center so the only option is walking 10-15 minutes until the metro station and 8 stops later you're in Catalunya square. It wasn't a problem but I would give the location a 7.5 or an 8.

The hotel ia conveniently located next to the La Maquinista shopoing area but is away from the main city. For me this was perfect as my work was in thia area.
The staff where all very friendly and attentive and assisted me immediatly with an accidental double booking made using the expedia Phone App.
I had not been given an option for a smoking room but upon entering it was evident this had been smoked in a lot. The bed was comfortable but even as an ex smoker the smell of stale smoke kept me awake.
The decor of the room was basic but sufficient however the attention to detail on cleanliness also do not impress as the lamp next to the bed was dusty and sticky.
For the price and the fact other better, previously trialed hotels in the centre of Barcelona had been available for less; i was slightly dissapointed.
Overall I would not recommend this hotel unless, like me ,you had business in the area and didnt want to have to get up at 4.30 to get there.
Also maybe dont leave bookinf the hotel until on the plane sat on the runway....

Mystery tour of Barcelona

A good thing to know about Barcelona is that the name of the streets is on a plaque high on the side of a corner building and unfortunately not well lite,so even if it just looks like a lane,its probably the road you need to take, which is why my husband I went on a magical mystery tour of Barcelona trying to get to the hotel.So after asking a few local people invery bad spainish we finally found the motel.Ha! In the light of the next day we discovered our folly and proceeded to find how easy it was to get to the metro L1 line, the massive shopping centre near us which I purchased a sim card for my phone at mega markt and that there were plenty of places to eat. Yes the motel is out of the way a bit but its quiet and very clean and once you get the hang of riding the metro its a great place to stay.

The hotel was quite nice. Air Conditioning needs some work as we barely felt it while we were there. The hotel is next door to a huge mall which is a major plus...Although outside of the main tourist area, travelling into Barcelona is very easy by Metro or train...Very easy to get to either station by public transport or by walking...Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful in this regard as well. Easy access to and from Airport via R2 Nord train. Definitely would return!!

The most comfortable bed of my trip! Great service from the staff, very spaceous, and a short 14 min. walk through the heat from Sant Andreu station. The area is not very central but good enough if you can handle a walk or are willimg to take a taxi or drive.
Next door to the La Maquinista outdoor mall.

Convenient to the Maquinista mall

I usually like NH hotels because you know what you are going to get, and the price is usually reasonable. However, this time I was not overly impressed at what I got for the price. At 125 euros per night I expected air conditioning (AC) that worked well, especially given the summer heat in Barcelona in July. The AC was too weak on the first night so I called reception. They said they would send someone in the morning to look at it, which they did. Reception then said there was nothing wrong with the AC. I came back that evening to a very cold hotel room, so I tried to adjust the thermostat. Unfortunately it then became too hot again and although I tried to adjust the thermostat it never cooled the room sufficiently. It was too late by then to do anything as I knew the best Reception could do was ask someone to look at it in the morning. So I just resigned myself to another night of bad sleep due to the heat.

NICE HOTEL BUT ROOM TURNS INTO AN OVEN AT NIGHT

If you have health problems that require you to sleep in a cool room-then please beware.

The only problem that I had with this hotel was that we went to bed with a comfortable room temperature and were awakened during the night by sauna-like heat.
At first, I thought I had a fever due to a slight cold since I became so sweaty during the night. But after the second night and with confirmation from my husband, I realized it wasn't me it was the lack of cool air.

The night manager came to our room promptly after we complained one night. She even had to acknowledge that the room was hot.
We found out from the hotel desk manager that they turn the AC off during the night/early morning hours.
We felt that this practice was ridiculous. If the temperature outside is high why turn off the air conditioning?
Our sleep was disrupted due to the hot air blowing through the vents.

The location of the hotel was great. The staff was really nice. We enjoyed our time in Barcelona but this sweltering hotel quickened our desire to head home.

Comfortable and relative spacious room with such a low rate. Hotel staffs were so nice.

Nice hotel, but you need to get the metro into the

Fantastic hotel, but it is about 30 minutes from the city. Grab yourself a metro pass and you are fine. Come out of the hotel, turn right, carry on down the road, till you get to the footbridge,. Go across and you are then in a lovely little town.

We would go again - however, there isn't a bar, just a drinks machine , not good!

This is a perfect hotel if you are on a budget,the metro is only a 10minute stroll away at sant andreu and there is also a bus stop across the street. The hotel is very clean and in very good condition,the rooms are big and comfortable,and the staff are very friendly and helpfull,especially the receptionist Estherfania. The only complaint was that the aircon didn't work properly,so we had to sleep with the window open,but al in all a great hotel for the money.

Nice hotel away from the centre

I chose this location as it was close to where a two day long distance walking event was taking place. It is not actually part of the Maquinista, a very large modern shopping centre but a separate building at one corner. It is a bit of a walk to the nearest underground station but there are plenty of buses. It is clearly more of a business hotel than a tourist and as such is quite expensive but the rooms are large, with good air conditioning and excellent ensuite bathroom.

This hotel is very good, room was large, bright and comfortable. The staff speak excellent English, are knowledgable and very helpful and friendly. It's only a 5 minute walk from the metro Bon Paster to central Barcelona (lines 9 and10) It's next to a large shopping mall with the same name as the hotel and which has lots of shops and cafés. There is lots of free parking across from the hotel.

We arrived at the hotel at about 9pm and the man at the reception welcomed us very friendly in perfect English. When he realized that we are from Austria, he even started to speak german with us! In Spain, we had experienced quite a lot of difficulties when we tried to communicate in English, therefore we very pleased by the fact that he spoke perfectly English and very good German.

However, the hotel is very nice. Our room was quite big and the bathroom as well. The room was equipped with a closet, a double bed, a suitcase rack and a desk. There was also a safe located in the closet but we didn't have a minibar in the room.
Everything was very clean.
Our window was located to the street, therefore it was quite loud in night.

We didn't have breakfast, so I can't give a rating in this regard. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist asked us, if we wanted to add breakfast and he offered as a \"special price\". I could believe that this special price is offered to everybody who has booked the hotel without breakfast (the prices would have been 9€ p.p. for breakfast on the first day and 7€ p.p. for the following days).

The hotel is suited next to a huge shopping centre (La Maquinista). We enjoyed that very much as there is a big supermarket (Carrefour) which is opened from 10a.m. to 10.p.m everyday and there are lots of restaurants on the attic floor of the shopping centre.

The location is not the best, but still I would recommend this hotel to anybody who visits Barcelona for a few days. You have to walk about 10 minutes to the metro station and you have to change the metro at least one time to get to the centre.
There is also a RENFE station just 15 minutes away from the hotel which takes you directly to the airport (Barcelona El Prat). Please note that the train takes you to Terminal 2. If your flight starts in Terminal 1, you have to walk through Terminal 2 and take a bus which takes you to Terminal 1. The terminals are quite far away from each other (the bus even drives on the the freeway for a few minutes). The shuttle bus which circulates between T1 and T2 is free.

Altogether, we very very pleased to stay in this accomodation and we would definitely book this hotel again if we went to Barcelona again. The cost/performance ratio is very, very good!

The hotel was excellent value for money compared to prices in the centre. The hotel seems fairly new & was very clean. The staff were very friendly.

Excelent clean Hotel

It was a great experience staying in this hotel for 3 nights. The room was big and very clean. It had shampoo, soap, toothbrush, tooth paste and everything that we need for our higiene. Near to La Maquinista shopping, a huge shopping where you can get everything that you may need. It is located 15 minutes from the metro station which takes you directly to the city centre. I recomend for everyone this hotel.

Good value

Typical bussines hotel, but good value for your money. Friendly personnel, clean rooms and pretty good, though sober breakfast.

The hotel is however pretty far from the metro (about a 10-15 minutes walk), so that is a thing to consider, next to the fact that it takes the metro about 15 minutes to get to the centre (Placa Catalunya).

Could have been a lot better!

The hotel was aimed at business user. No character or atmosphere at all. At reception told parking would be 13.87 eur a night, which seemed pricey. We were then encouraged to pay for breakfast at only 8.80 euros each, if we agreed then and there. We declined, hating this kind of pressure selling. Rooms functional and clean. Hotel advertised ice machine, but doesn't have one. Also that coffee would be available in reception between 5-7am if taking early flight but, when we tried to get this at 5.45am, we were told not available until after 7am. The best things about the hotel were the shopping mall close by and the Wok 2 U buffet round the corner!

A good place if you are street wise

The hotel itself is good.The location can be a bit tricky but once you find it, everythng s much easy. There is Metro and Trains to get you out and about very easily. Look for a little bar in the close the square. Very friendly people, and good prices for food and drink. Just make sure that you don't wear a Real Madrid shirt, because everyone in the area is Barcelona from the early age.

La chambre était spacieuse et propre, le personnel très aimable, le Spa petit, mais agréable. L'hotel est à coté d'un grand centre commercial, si vous souhaitez faire du shopping. Par conte c'est un peu éloigné des points tourisitiques de le ville.
