Never expected to find such a gem in this location! 10 minutes from downtown Biarritz. A beautiful tailored property on a lake. Rooms and bathrooms are huge. The best bed ever! Super friendly for dogs. Don’t miss dinner in their restaurant.

Beautiful hotel and property, and beautifully maintained grounds. The rooms were spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Great linens, toiletries, and towels. My only complaint was that they weren’t clear with us about whether breakfast was included and neglected to tell us the price- 35 EUR pp, and 7 EUR pp for tea! It’s a five star hotel so it sort of makes sense, but seems a bit steep given the area and what we paid for the room. Would’ve been nice to mention it ahead of time.

Beautiful hotel with tranquil style

The hotel is a characterful, secluded, mansion style building set in parkland with its own lake. Very clean and well appointed. Very good swimming pool. Rooms have large balconies with lovely views. The staff were very helpful, giving us good recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants in the surrounding area and making reservations for us. We didn't eat in the hotel but the restaurant and breakfast look very good.

Nice Hotel Cost of breakfast ridiculous

The hotel in lovely and obviously caters for the ‘Up Market’ clientele that they get given the proximity to the fashionable town of Biarritz, however Breakfast was not included and cost 26€ each!!!!! Far too much for a continental breakfast with additional hot items extra! Also be aware you are right next to an airport and will get occasional jet noise (not that busy though.

Beautiful Chateau and amazing staff!

The Chateau was beautiful and in a peaceful surrounding area with a lake and a pool. Rustic style rooms were provided and brilliant were on hand to help with everything I needed.

It is linked to a fantastic restaurant (make sure to book in advanced) which has great food and wine in a somewhat romantic setting

Lovely but the food was soooo expensive

What a lovely setting and our room was fabulous. The staff were really welcoming and pleasant - with one exception. The restaurant staff seemed very dour and not friendly at all. No help with the language and very pointed in their disapproval if you did something wrong - for example when my husband poured his sauce on his own meal! The food in general is exceedingly expensive €26 per head for a fairly average continental breakfast. We had dinner in the restaurant as we were late arriving and it was very expensive. They charged us €4.50 for a pat of butter - I think that is outrageous and petty. Overall, though I thought the place was lovely just a shame about the prices.

we have stayed at over 50 five stars hotels, booked mainly with Expedia,but this hotel was not up to the Standard of Relais and Chateaux,as it is lacking the attention to detail,that you expect of a 5star Hotel . This also is the first ever review that I have done.

Very relaxing and convenient Chateau Hotel

Hotel staff very friendly and hospitable. They also spoke excellent English. Location is very attractive, and also close to the airport. For sightseeing the excellent local bus service is required if you don't have a car. The hotel staff were very helpful with information for the buses, and local sightseeing. Would certainly stay again if returning to this pleasant region of France.

An oasis of calm

Exceeded all expectations! A beautiful place, very friendly staff and our room was fabulous with a view of the lake, we were only let down by the weather.
We had our meal in the restaurant and no exaggeration it was some of the best food we have tasted. I am vegetarian and the chef presented me with two superb dishes. Fine dining for a reasonable price- 3 courses for 54 euros. If you find yourself in Biarritz don't miss the chance to stay here.

Great get away between Bayonne and Barritzz

It is a old family home in a lake very close to Bayonne and Biarritz. For an urban area it is very quiet with a forest surrounding the lake. It has a great breakfast for 18 euros in a wonderful dining area. Rooms are very large and the bathtub is marvelous.

We were here for a close friend's wedding and the chateau was beautiful. It was totally booked for the wedding so we were able to see the backyard and grounds completely customized for our friends and it was the perfect backdrop to a beautiful weekend. The staff seemed very friendly and accommodating!

NICE LARGE ROOM BUT LACKING SOME ESSENTIALS, SUCH AS COMFY CHAIRS (INSTEAD OF 2 STRAIGHT, HARD CHAIRS), A DESK AND A SITTING AREA. NO ELEVATOR, NO AIR CONDITIONING. Charming hotel on a private lake.

Lovely spacious rooms overlooking a private lake teeming with wildlife. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent and the site, overlooking the lake, is a highlight. Breakfast was similarly good with simple choices but all fresh ingredients and typically excellent bread and croissants. The site, a kilometer from the airport, might make you worry about noise but being just to the side of the runway alignment means you are completely unaware of aircraft operations.

Great location off the main path

If you want to visit Biarritz and not be in main fray, this is the place to be. Large rooms with expansive bathroom including a large soaking tub and separate shower. Great balcony space for your morning coffee. Need a car or taxi ($20 euro each way) to get to downtown Biarritz. Very relaxing and great hotel staff.

First Class with a personal touch

Stayed here for a few days on our honeymoon and could not have chosen a more perfect venue. An exceptional level of service in an impeccably maintained chateau.
Rooms are huge with fabulous bathrooms. We had a lakeside view with a balcony.
Food in the restaurant was world class.
We will definitely return.

Could be 5 star but.....

We booked a deluxe room for 3 nights in mid-October. The room is quite possibly the most beautiful room we have ever had the pleasure of stayin in during our global travels. Lovely colors and decorations and big. The bathroom was huge with a terrific shower. The problem was the A/C never worked and so we suffered 3 fairly uncofortable nights. At first the front desk told us the A/C would build up and to be patient and the next day they had the good sense (they could sense my growing anger) to acknowledge it was broken. But then they did nothing to fix it!! The dining room was average and the wines expensive. If only the AC had worked and the staff had been more helpful, this place would be just wonderful. The location means you must have a car as there is nothing around or near to the hotel of any interest.

Beautiful hotel, fabulous restaurant over looking lake, lovely pool.
It is tranquil and although It is close to airport it's not on the flight path, so you don't hear the planes.
We arrived at noon, and although hotel had been full night before theybhad our room ready within 30 mins, they came to find us to take us to our room, where our luggage had already been delivered,
The bedrooms are lovely, most over look the gardens and lake. Looking forward to my next stay at the hotel.

We loved everything about this hotel and it's surroundings.

The staff and service were excellent, the room superb.

Only critisim is that as a vegetarian we were unable to eat in the restaurant. The menu's are set and they would not offer any alternative.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful hotel.

Well worth a visit

We spent a night there and loved it but although we ate there we would probably go out for other meals because the menu is not very extensive. Very tanquil even though the airport is not far away and lovely to watch the ducks, coypu etc. the hotel is very tasteful and the bathrooms wonderful - reminiscent of a hotel we stayed in on Majorca - Gran Son Net.

Accueil est professionnel et bienveillant. L'ambiance est chaleureuse et romantique. La chambre était magnifique et la vue lac/jardin apaisante. Propreté irréprochable. La décoration des lieux est soignée. A refaire à la belle saison pour profiter de la piscine extérieure et profiter des nénuphars en fleur.

Un hotel con mucho encanto

El hotel está muy bien, la gente es super amable y muy atentos. El entorno es precioso.
Hemos elegido la suite presidencial y la habitación principal y todo el piso superior es maravilloso. La pena es que la 2ª habitación es muy pequeña (no tenía sitio ni para dejar la maleta) y además, hemos ido con 2 personas mayores, y no ha sido nada cómodo para ellas puesto que están comunicadas por una escalera de caracol bastante estrecha.

Super séjour, enfin un hôtel qui vaut 5 étoiles mais surtout qui travaille au bien être de ses hôtes. Le personnel est très serviable et attentif. Cet hotel sait allier raffinement et confort.
Un petit Dej Royal au bord du lac avec un choix des plus subtil (cake marbré, cake citron, 2 ou 3 types de brioche et le salé n'en parlons pas). Nous sommes bien au délà du ptit Dej continental. Le cadre est splendide, une réplique du tableau de Monet (lac avec nenuphar).

La ubicación es excepcional para descansar y desconectar, y está muy cerca de Biarritz, Bayona y San Juan de Luz. Aunque no está muy actualizado, es un hotel con mucho encanto. Las habitaciones son amplias, luminosas y muy limpias. La única crítica que haría es que pasamos mucho frío, a pesar de ser el mes de agosto bajó mucho la temperatura y se había puesto el aire acondicionado sin que pudiera modificarse desde la habitación. La piscina tb está bien pero un poco desangelada y sin servicio. No utilizamos el restaurante porque preferimos explorar los alrededores, pero tenía muy buena pinta, aunque caro. Por último recomendarlo para escapadas románticas pero no para ir en familia. No hay nada que hacer con niños

Nous avons réservé une chambre pour 4 (deux adultes et deux enfants), à notre arrivée (le cadre est charmant) il s'avère que notre chambre n'a pas été préparée et qu'il faudra se résoudre à installer les enfants sur des lits d'appoints à côté de nous (hotel 5 étoiles..), ca peut arriver alors on attend notre chambre. Lors de l'accès à la chambre, odeur de transpiration imprégnée, impossible de dormir là, le personnel (gentil au demeurant), nous change de chambre en retransférant les lits de camps des enfants. Dans cette seconde chambre le pommeau de douche de la baignoire arrosait autant le plafond que la baignoire, très pratique.. la pomme de douche au plafond de la douche était colmatée de calcaire, effet jet massant par les autres orifices.. nous avons souhaité utiliser la bouilloire pour prendre un thé, l'intérieur était moisi, couleur marron, odeur infecte : pas de thé... J'en reviens au matelas et aux lits des enfants : j'aurais honte de proposer ce type de lits, même dans un hotel 2 étoiles.
Après avoir fait état de ces déconvenues à la réception lors du départ, aucune attention particulière, hormis celle de nous faire régler la taxe de séjour.
Allant à l'hôtel plusieurs fois par mois, la déception dans cet établissement était toute aussi grande que la hâte d'y aller lors de la réservation.
Pondérons peut être cet enchainement de mauvais évènements, c'était peut être un jour sans...nous

Séjour en famille dans un cadre d'exception

Le château de Brindos est un endroit exceptionnel pour un séjour en famille.
Le personnel y est très agréable et disponible.
Le junior suite est superbe, avec de beaux volumes.
Le restaurant avec sa vue sur le lac est très agréable.
Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour et nous ne manquerons pas et revenir.

hôtel accueillant avec chambres spacieuses

Nous avons apprécié le calme, l'espace, les petits déjeuners de qualité en chambre. Nous trouvons cependant que l'hôtel pourrait être mieux valoriser si le parc était entretenu (élagage, taille de gazon et marche japonaise dans les espaces boueux. De même certains petits détails dans la chambre mériterait un petit entretien. Enfin le lit séparable perd un peu de son confort pour un couple qui a envie de se retrouver.

Une suite junior parfaite. Accueil chaleureux. Literie très confortable pour un repos assuré. Chambre très spacieuse. Un séjour tout simplement idyllique en couple. La seule remarque à formuler est le manque d’intimité dans le jardin de la suite qui se trouve à côté de la porte d’entrée lorsque l’on est sur la terrasse privative. Mais sinon il n’y a rien à redire, cette hôtel est fantastique et je le recommande vivement ! C’était un plaisir d’y aller. Et ce sera un plaisir d’y retourner assurément. Merci pour la qualité des prestations et attentions.

Fantastisk hotel med historie og sjæl. Smuk have med mange spændende træer, terrasser og en idyllisk sø, springende fisk i overfladen.Stor mad oplevelse med perfekt betjening.
