Memorable place

Amazing place to be, only the nearby places like the car showrooms makes the outlook little bad, but the hotel service itself is all great. It is no doubt near to Taksim square with free shuttle service provision.

Wouldnt recommend, poor service.

Room is cleaner than many in Istanbul.
However carpets and upholstery looked very very old and you didnt want to sit on anything, or walk on the carpet bare foot.
Ive seen no mention to the fact the hotel is on a hill, its a 7 - 10 minute walk down hill, assisted with steps outside every shop, cafe garage, hotel on the way down so not so bad.
Going up when leaving the hotel however is a different story. I guess if youre in good health, youll appreciate the cardio.
But for me, id had a medical procedure and was strictly told no walking and raising body temp or heart rate for first 24 hours. So that was really really hard and a bit traumatising for me, as i arrived on the day of my procedure and became very anxious on site of the hill.
I wasnt complaining about it to the server at Reception, simply said there was no mention of this hotel being on a hill in the reviews... he belittled and ridiculed me to the point of Tears, where i was actually stood at the desk with uncontrollable tears going down my cheek, he then offered me an upgrade to my room, which i declined.
He was rude, incredbly rude, snapped at me in an abusive toxic masculine manner when i mentioned the hill, then preceeded to say whatever i said was right if i said hill its hill even though hes the one who lives in istanbul, then looked at his colleague and laughed, right in my face. Hope to never meet someone as nasty as him ever again.

Oda çok sıcaktı, klima yetersizdi ve hiç soğutmadı. Mini bar dolabı bozuktu. Gece 1 de odamıza gelip değiştirildi. Soğuk su içemedik. Soğuk su için oda servisini aramak ve beklemek zorunda kaldık. Please avoid this hotel

Very uncomfortable stay. At arrival, the toilet was extremely dirty. The shower floors were very sticky and the it smelled. We asked for room service and they were very slow at arriving and still left the room in a mess. The elevators took forever to arrive, the whole hotel smelled. At check out, they tried to charge us €1000 Euros higher than the rate I had secured through Hotels.com. I had to stay to prove the payments that they already took from me and I almost missed my flight because of that. Avoid this hotel, I have never experienced a stay this bad in my life.

There is only one restaurant which is a negative. Need more variety of food. The lights in the room are very dim, can barely see. However the room is spacious and clean. Bathroom is big. But the room is noisy at night, i can always hear people talking and laughing in the middle of the night. The location is very decent, walking distance to the main shopping area. The spa is also nice and very affordable.

We stayed here for 4 days...the room was never really cleaned. They just change/make up the bed. No vaccum or cleaning the washroom. The key to our room almost never worked, the water coming out of the shower was brown(apparently there was pipe work), we asked them to clean our room more than once, but they never did. Staff at the front are nice, but they have no power. They did nothing to make up for the issues we faced during our stay. Will never stay here again.

The hotel, while located well was not very clean. The hotel staff, most of them anyway, did not understand English. The complementary inroom tea making amenities did not have milk/creamer, explaing this to the staff was a task. The washrooms also lacked the common amenities that one finds in these hotels.

Booked a double room last minute after moving hotels from an awful area in Istanbul’s Aksaray area. Rza and Talha both deserve a mention for their wonderful service. Rza, a member of the hotel staff upgraded my room to a deluxe room at no extra cost, which was great. Talha was also an exceptional member of C/Plaza’s team. If the management team reads this, I’d recommend both get a promotion!

One word to say ... it can not be 5 star at all the cleanliness is not good ... the location is your n industrial area around... l throw the used towels on the ground and put a hidden mark on it ... I found they put again to be used so I called the management they send somebody from house keeping and when he find it is true they apologized.... not enough staff to bring the luggage from the room for check out.... I received a guest to the room they charged me 220 TL I pay it without getting receipt

I was impressed with the hotel. I had read that the place was looking old and the sheets and towels were old. Didn’t have that problem at all. The staff were attentive to the needs of the convention goers and were good at looking after breakfast and any other amenities we required. The front desk manager worked very hard to address any concerns in a kind professional manner.

The hotel was great, especially after getting the run-around from a different hotel. Clean, comfortable, all of our needs were taken care of. The only slight downside is location. There is a decent three-block hike uphill to get to get to the nearest major road and once there, you have another 10 minute walk or so to the Metro Station, unless I was missing one closer. Still, I would definitely suggest it.

When I arrived to check-in , the receptionist were unfriendly, to make it even worse I was told that my booking was cancelled- I queried the cancellation as I didn't receive any email advising of the cancellation. After about 25mins waiting and the receptionist talking among themselves , I was told that a room has become available. This is after I had been told that the hotel was fully booked out. The was spacious and had all the amenities I had requested whilst booking, however the fridge was unclean and full of rotten food. This hotel including the rude, unfriendly/ unhelpful female receptionist do no justice to the Crown Plaza brand.

Room was lacking in amenities and we needed to ask for everything. You need to tell them more than once to get things done. The bathtub was clogged and I told them twice to fix it byut they did not. The hotel needs serious renovation.

It was a bad experience the reception staff was not cooperating although I stayed to many days
Towels smell bad asking for toothbrush give next day after asking 4 different times maybe be because I wear traditional arabic abaya dress
I ask for 2 non smoking room they give my son a room full of smell of cigarettes
For my i ask for separate bef even after 3 or 4 days they give me small smoking area bed
In breakfast I told one that the plate is dirty he take the plate remove the dirt with his nail and return the plate to its place
Still I think because I'm arabic and traveling alone with my kids and wearing abaya

Really dirty room and bathroom, the house keeping did not clean or hoover. The walls and carpet stained. The fridge did not work and water patches on the carpet. The tv had no English channels apart from news24. Food very bland. Would not stay again.

Terrible location of hotel

The hotel is located in a bad part of Istanbul which is generally a fantastic place full of history. However, this particular area of Harbiya has too many thiefs and we were subject of two attempted thefts while walking on pavements. Once during the day and once in the evening. Luckily both times the thiefs got away with nothing. The hotel is also located at the bottom of a steep hill which some members of our party found difficult to walk up every day.
Also it did not appear that our room was hovered during our stay although the staff were friendly.
