We are located in the middle of the quiet hill where you can enjoy the marverous surrounding views. Also we are very near from the places of interest in Kusatsu.
Located in Kusatsu, Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Sakurai is in a provincial park, a 3-minute walk from Sainokawara Park and 7 minutes by foot from Yubatake. This family-friendly ryokan is 0.4 mi (0.7 km) from Jizo Hot Spring and 0.9 mi (1.4 km) from Kusatsu Onsen Ski Resort.

Great stay. I booked a room with open air bath and it came with the access to the executive lounge for afternoon snacks and drinks. Snacks, beers and wine. The snacks there was amazing. Coz I booked two consecutive nites, they gave us access to the exclusive public bath, less ppl and with more privacy.
The room was so clean and the staff were excellent. I was impressed by a staff Jaing, she was so helpful and always so enthusiastic and ready to help all the time when I saw her at the reception - check in and check out and when she was working at the executive lounge. The cleaning team was doing an excellent job.
All of these made my stay so wonderful.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sakurai. We booked the top floor suites, which came with several extra benefits.
The room was very large and well laid out, with a kitchen, a bathroom with a jacuzzi and stunning view, two bedrooms, and a living area. We were taken straight to our room by a concierge when we checked in, which was a nice touch. The view was excellent — you could see the town centre from the room.
We also had access to the Sakura Lounge, where food and drinks were included, and a more private onsen that was limited to a small number of guests.
The hotel prepared a special dinner for special guests in a separate restaurant, using best quality ingredients. The food and service were both excellent.
One thing to note is that the hotel is very large, so there are no private hot spring baths. This wasn’t an issue for us, but worth mentioning. The main onsen facilities are very good, especially the outdoor baths, which we would highly recommend.

The wear and tear is kind of showing throughout the establishment but it was nice overall. I was a little underwhelmed with the dinner buffet but the breakfast buffet was fantastic. I felt like I could’ve eaten something nicer down in the Yubataki area. Also the shower in the room barely had hot water. But the showers in the onsen area were perfect.

Greetings & services upon check in & ck out was super. The rooms were clean & big & had lots of space. Cute short entertainment in the evening. The buffet that’s included was just okay. Nothing special. I would prefer the traditional Japanese meals for the experience but we weren’t given the option to choose upon booking online. Only thing I would complain about is the slippers for small size 5 feet were not available so walking in big slippers hurt my toes & no baskets to bring to the onsen when I see some other women carrying it. Not sure if they were missing from the room.

They are very patient and all employees have translator machines, they allowed me to check in early and take my bag to my room so I could walk around town. They got me a large yukata and food is wonderful. Room was clean and had extra futons for 5 more people, and the private onsen in room was amazing. Would go again someday

さすが草津温泉、素晴らしい泉質でした。特に櫻井さんは2種類のお湯が楽しめるのが良かったです。
湯畑までは歩くと15分くらいでしたが、坂が多く帰りはきつかったです。ホテルから出ている無料のシャトルバスを使うのがおすすめ。ビュッフェの夕食も種類が多くて大満足でした。
