Lovely friendly haven

It always helps when the weather is beautiful, 34 degrees. The hotel is easy to find and has ample parking.
You are greeted with the most friendly of welcomes. Arthur is wonderful, so helpful. Rooms are clean and functional, the aircon excellent and wifi is good.
The pool area is wonderful, make sure you find time to relax there.
Breakfast is great, lots of options in this buffet. We ate dinner twice, food was very reasonable and i recommend the beef for meat lovers and the vegetarian stroganoff was amazing.
All the staff are wonderful. Evora is just a 5 minute drive with plenty of free parking outside the walls.
Also next to the hotel is a fabulous Pingo Doce supermarket.
All in all a fabulous little hotel.

Better than other 4 stars in Portugal

I usually don't go for less than 4 stars but prices in the area were ridiculously high so I chose this 3 stars. Better than other 4 stars I've been to in Portugal. I was upgraded and the agent at the reception was fantastic and very helpful. Huge swimming pool, no elevator but only one floor up and even if rooms need a little love and update, overall I would recommend.

Perfectly Acceptable Property

I was in Evora to do some field investigations and did not wish to stay in the city, so the location of Casa do Vale was fine. The pool area is lovely and the pool sparkling clean, just like in the photo but even prettier.

All of the staff are polite and helpful and go the extra bit to make guests happy, one of the really nice things about Portuguese hotels in general.

The included buffet breakfast was ok but not outstanding. There are several choices, however.

Reasonable Option

This small hotel is well outside the old town. A car is definitely recommended, if you stay here. It definitely has its good points. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. It is reasonably priced, has a hearty breakfast buffet, and a kickin' pool. The small patio was a nice surprise too. The rooms could use some touch-ups, to make this hotel an even better option.

Reasonably Priced, But Requires Upgrades

Easy to find hotel about 6km from the old walled city. You need a car, to stay here. The pool and breakfast were excellent, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The Patio with chairs was a nice touch. Our room, though, was in need of some attention. Mold on the bathroom grout and water stains at the base of the wooden doors were a turn-off. Also, we awoke one morning to water coming out of our ceiling air conditioner, which explains the water marks.

The hotel was just on the outskirts of city so was not walkable to sight see the city. The staff were helpful but the room lacked some basics like glasses face cloths. Over all we found it comfortable and convenient to the grocery store next door.

Lovely place to stay on the outskirts of evora. Friendly reception staff. Nice clean spacious rooms. We had 116- massive balcony with view of the surrounding area - shame it didn't have sun loungers. Buffet in the restaurant very good and excellent value for money. Pool not heated so it was a tad cool to try in sept - but looked great and as per the rest of the place, very clean.

Pleasant experience!

The hotel was great, we arrived late due to delay in flight but the reception was 24hour. The breakfast was good, very friendly staff, hotel and room in good condition. Easy to park, close to Evora by car. If you have a car, that is a very good option, also the price is very good!

We stayed only one night. The hotel is an okay stop over on your way to Gibraltar. Our room smelled badly of sewage and the floors were covered in ants; they even got on our clothes.

The staff were curteous, and we were able to park our motorcycles right outside the hotel.

About 2 min by car from the walls of the town, and just next to Pingo doce, it was convenient and very quiet at night. It was very basic, and clean, but somewhat cold, even with the heater on. Beginning to look a bit run down, with mold spots on the ceiling corners. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Perfect hotel if you have a car

Beautiful hotel and super friendly staff! It's not often you get service with a smile these days, but it's refreshing to see it still exist here. The front desk staff was very knowledgable, informative, and warm. Add free Wifi, clean comfortable rooms and bed to the mix and you have here a solid 3 1/2 star hotel. The location of this hotel was in a quiet area that is just 5 mins by car from Evora city center, therefore it's fine if you have a car. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was on par with other 3 or 4 star hotels that actually charge. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was wonderful, we were touring and chose it for 2 nights for the location close to Evora. It was about 3 minutes by car, free parking outside the walls in Evora really easy walk into centre. Big supermarket next door. The hotel had no lift but the receptionist offered to carry our bags up. Restaurant was lovely, pool area beautiful. We thought it may be noisy as it was close to the road but no problem. The photo of the hotel on Hotels.com does not do it justice. Excellent value for money, would return tomorrow!

La façade du bâtiment aurait besoin d'un peu d'amour, ainsi que les tapis dans les passages. La personne à l'accueil a été très gentille, polie et efficace. La chambre était propre et d'une grandeur correcte. Il y avait un petit balcon. La salle de bain est fonctionnelle et propre. L'insonorisation laisse à désirer. Nous n'avons pas pris le déjeuner sur place. Le stationnement est facile d'accès et il y avait suffisament de places. L'hôtel est un peu décentrée, à 15 minutes en voiture d'un stationnement municipal gratuit, et de là on a pu visiter ce qui nous intéressait à pied. Nous recommandons cet hôtel - bon rapport qualité/prix pour un court séjour avec des attentes réalistes.

De locatie is gedateerd maar ondanks dat over het algemeen goed onderhouden. Enkel de stoelen in het restaurant zijn aan vervanging toe.
Erg vriendelijk personeel.
Tip voor de accommodatie: laat de gemeente de begroeiing bij de uitrit weghalen. Je ziet nu onvoldoende wat er links aan verkeer aan komt rijden wanneer je de weg opdraait terwijl dat verkeer wel met minimaal 70 km/u aan komt rijden.
Door dezelfde begroeiing is het bord hotel vanuit de richting Evora pas heel laat te zien.

Paga-se aquilo que se adquire.

Infelizmente a estadia não correspondeu a um mínimo de conforto. Primeiro factor que achámos estranho foi termos que pagar adiantado no check-in, e como o ditado diz, quem paga adiantado é mal servido. E infelizmente aplicou-se. O quarto estava dentro do esperado, mas o essencial não.... Falo do Colchão que não estava em condições devido à camada de espuma em cima estar \"cedida\", e se sentir os buracos deixados pelas molas uma vez deitado sobre ele. Além disso notámos que cada um dos colchẽos estavam deformados de tal forma que estavam arqueado para baixo devido a certamente a já ter sido muito utilizado. Nunca tal me aconteceu num hotel, dormir tão mal e desconfortável que acordei com dores. Infelizmente só quisemos mal acordamos arrumar o mais cedo possível e abandonar o hotel.

Salvou-se da estadia a simpatia dos funcionários da recepção e as condições de higiene, e a boa localização do hotel mas, por causa do acima mencionado... perderam um cliente pois não voltarei a este hotel.

Hotel sem acessibilidade ,não tem elevador nem rampa pelo que a pessoa tem de carregar as malas quer para entrar no hotel, e em seguida até ao primeiro andar.
O quarto estava cheio de melgas .
A casa de banho não estava limpa,na zona do duche estavam cabelos no ralo que lá permaneceram e não foi limpa durante os 3 dias em que lá estive alojada .

Calme et hors du circuit touristique

En bord de route mais les chambres sont au calme. Belle chambre et bon confort. Petit dejeuner buffet de bonne qualité. Pas de restauration à proximité et un peu éloigné de la ville, voiture indispensable. Nous recherchions ce type d'hôtel hors du circuit touristique, donc parfait ! A noter, l'environnement proche n'est pas exceptionnel.

O quarto é bom, mas a falta de elevador é um problema a depender das malas. Não há frigobar, e a piscina, caso eu quisesse usar, estava vazia e em manutenção, porém não houve esse aviso prévio. O estacionamento é amplo, mas só há cobertura de tecido bem simples para algumas vagas.
