In short: this “hotel” offers all the charm of a budget sauna, the privacy of a shop window, and the tranquility of a construction site. Would I stay again? Only if they paid me.

Where to begin? We booked a family room with a double and a single, arrived to find two singles instead. When we asked to fix it, they kindly offered… for an extra charge. The “air con” turned out to be a heater, so we woke up sweating like rotisserie chickens. When my daughter got sick, reception’s advice was to call an ambulance, for a cough and temperature. Turns out, they just switch off air conditioning in the “off season.” Genius.

We tried opening the window, only to realise it faced a public staircas, perfect for giving strangers a free post-shower show. Add paper-thin walls, staff yelling and banging about like it’s a morning workout class, and a maid knocking at 8 a.m. like the police, and you’ve got the full experience.

Unforgettable? Absolutely. Enjoyable? Not even close.

Great little complex to stay at, 20 minutes walk from Puerto Banus.
Breakfast could be better with the bacon being a heartblocker.
Pool areas really nice but could do with some new turfing here and there.
Fancy sun beds for rent at a ridiculous cost, hence never saw them used once during our stay. Hotel management you should review this! But Would defo come again

At check in I was given a room that I did not accept. It smell bad, and beds were in terrible condition. Then I complained and I was given another room. That other room was acceptable but the mattress of one bed had a hole in it. Terrible mattress. The safe box did not work. The blower did not work. The flushing of the toilet was continuously running water and we had to stop the water manually in order to save water. Some of the outlets did not have electricity in them. Breakfast was ok. Staff was friendly. Will not stay in this hotel again.

The hotel was perfectly fine. Decor was a bit dated, but the room was large and spotlessly clean. The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of space and numerous pools. The aircon in my room did not work, so I had trouble sleeping well.

This property was very dirty and old - I don’t understand how it’s a 4 star hotel. We got there late and when we got to the room, the walls were paper thin so you could hear a lot of conversation from other room, everything was dated or rusted, the bed was uncomfortable and there were multiple huge bugs in the room. The next morning, we noticed several ants in the bathroom. This should be a 2 or 3 star hotel at best

Property is lovely and clean. Staff were very nice and helpful. However hotel is immediately off a major busy highway. I had a group of approximately 6 young men who were “vacationing” til all hours which made for an unpleasant 2 night stay. I did notify management they were still ”vacationing” when I checked out at 5:30am.

We had a lovely 5 day stay at the hotel. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and the grounds were very pretty. My only two criticisms are that the bathroom needs updating, it is very tired looking and the other is that at breakfast they only make fresh fried eggs and not omelettes, but there is plenty of choice.

Really I do not know how this hotel is able to offer parking if in reality they have few capacity. I paid more than 600 dollar for two nights and room was miserable, I ask for a beach towel and they ask me for 10 dollars as deposit. So I do not recommend to any body this hotel.

Dinner was expensive for a buffet of limited choice and breakfast was less good than other similar hotels. The food was the 'letdown' for what is otherwise a quite good hotel. Access difficult and not near bars or restaurants unless you drive.

Easy check in with nice staff. Out of our five rooms all in different blocks not one or out air conditioning worked. Bathrooms very dated and tired but the bedroom was ok. Pool area was fine but the beach bar in their description doesn't exist. Breakfast was very poor, but for a budget end hotel you got what you paid for.

Very Disappointing 4 star Hotel

The hotel on the outside doesn’t look bad but our room was very dated missing a lot of basic things to be a 4 star hotel in my opinion. The bathroom had broken tiles, the toilet flush wasn’t working at first we had to get someone out a few times to fix this. The ceiling of the rooms cladding was damaged at parts. Our room was meant to be 3 beds which we asked on hotels.com to be 3 double beds on the preference option menu. We ended up with a double bed split in the middle into two singles and one sofa style bed which made uncomfortable sleeping for one person wasn’t what was advertised. The bedroom didn’t have a mirror which was annoying and made it had work for 3 people getting ready. The room ceiling light didn’t work, the ceiling fan didn’t work and the toilet flush which we mentioned to reception In first 30 minutes of getting keys to room on first day. They only fixed items which was toilet and the fan but we didn’t have main room light work for the 5 days duration of our stay at hotel. Overall the hotel has a good location and grounds on decent and breakfast is okay but not many vegetarian options. Me and our group were disappointed in room and overall stay and we did ask for a room change but was told this wasn’t available.

Very good breakfast. Good pools, but only one is open and from 10 to 19hr...very annoying being expelled from the swimming pool because they lock it.
Internet is paid by day...Haven't seen this in years...especially in an 4 start expensive place.
The resort is not on the beach, as it looks in the map, it is a 6 mim walk.

From checking in to checking out we cannot fault this Hotel - all the staff, including reception, cleaners, restaurant staff and activities staff were friendly, professional and happy. The hotel wasn't busy which I think was nice, as everyone was relaxed. The breakfast was suited to every ones needs and presented very well. I would happily return to this hotel again. We loved hiring the bikes and enjoyed our stay.

Stayed in room 412 there was no view what so ever from balcony all you could see was other rooms
and a path leading to them, in morning when trying to sleep could hear loads of noise from children shouting and banging doors then room cleaning maid would come along with there trolleys which sounded like a express train really loud on the cobbled paths. Apart from that everything else was fantastic if we had different room would of been 10/10.

The staff and security are amazing. Felt safe and looked after. The location is perfect it’s 3-4 mins to puerto Banús which is great for clubs beach parties and shopping boutiques. On Uber it will cost you 4-5euros to get there.
Malaga airport is 45 mins from Marbella so make sure your prepared to pay 100 euro each way for cab fare.

Awful - misleading

Awful stay, hotel staff unhelpful, room did not have a phone. Upon arrival the sheets were stained with red and yellow stains as if it was not clean. Air conditioning was leaking. They placed us in a room which was very very long walk to the front of hotel.

Nice 4 star hotel close to Puerto Banus

The hotel has some really well kept gardens and the pool areas are lovely and well looked after. It is just a 3 minute cab from the hotel to Puerto Banus and around 8-10 Euro per cab. Reception will order a cab for you which arrives in 5 mins. We were ordering 3 at a time and they always arrived together which was great!

We only had breakfast booked and the food isn't great, typical Spanish all inclusive, edible but its nothing to get excited about.

The rooms were nice and really spacious, we had a few cockroaches in a couple of the rooms but I suppose that's to be expected in Spain.

We were a group 12 girls and generally the reception staff were great, the security staff on the other hand weren't so great and did follow us from reception to our rooms when we returned to the hotel on an evening. I can understand they want to make sure other guests aren't disturbed by people returning to the hotel late but I am not sure this is the best way to make sure this is done.

Overall this place is lovely very good value for money being so close to Puerto Banus.

Lovely big room and huge bathroom. Big disappointment that the shower was cold so had to shower in the bath . Room very clean and comfortable beds . Liked the turquoise furniture very much . Nice balcony .
Not much entertainment. Had flamenco dancing and karaoke .
No snacks available during the day or evening. Outside pools very cold but then it was March !!!
Check in was very long . Waited for an hour to be seen . Overall though a lovely hotel , very pretty gardens , next to the sea and food nice . I would stay again but take a kettle and tbags as no facilities in rooms

Recently stayed at the blue bay for the 2nd time, the hotel is very relaxing, food is always good with plenty of choice but restaurant does get hectic at meal times, pool area very clean, did have an issue with the small children’s pool which was out of order during our stay but was resolved quickly, rooms are clean but need modernising and air con needs attention as wasn’t good at all, we enjoyed our stay and met some lovely people which made the holiday altogether we loved it! 10 minutes walk to Puerto banus port and 5 minutes to the beach!

This location is easily accessed off the A7. It is close to the beach and the grounds are well kept. The buildings are quite worn probably from heavy beach vacationers. The room was serviceable but shabby. There is only buffet service so be prepared.

A rare find with wide range appeal to all ages

Fantastic but a little dated which would certainly NOT put me off recommending it or going back. Staff and food were just great and served at super convenient times. Something for everyone, we were two couples and it suited us, there were families there and also older couples too. Really close to the beach through the hotel grounds and also the hotel bar prices were reasonable.

My only complaint is the level of noise. I like music - but sitting around the pool during the day is not relaxing as there is loud music playing from the pool bar - different loud music from the entertainment stage at the other end of the pool, and if the animation team are around - then they have their own music playing. If the same music was played it would be more acceptable - but the different competing music just gave me (and many other people) a headache. If co-ordinated background music had been played it would have been a much more relaxing holiday.
Also I think that there should be no charge for wifi for residents.

We were unaware that the room booked was accessed by walking up about 40 steps. As my wife had a knee problem we asked to be moved from our Superior room to another lower room if possible. We were taken to a room which was approached by about 19 steps. Actually it was a lovely spot, but quite inferior i.e. No mirror in the room, old toilet seat, unable to close the bathroom door properly and no lock. Had to pay for dinner drinks in cash and only told upon leaving that we could have used a card if reception had a record. Dinner OK but not great. Surroundings were absolutely lovely and the plants, trees and birds were gorgeous.

Really good location for Esterpona, Marbella and Puerto Panus. Lovely atmosphere. Room was hugh and overlooked one of the several pools in the complex. Only downside is your only allowed 10 minutes worth of free wifi which was ridiculous for me as I m was away working. Went with Half Board accomodation, whereby the food was average.

We made the most of our 2 weeks here. Positives, great location, gardens, our room 434 and balcony, waiting staff exceptional esvoevially David, Theresa and Franco. Dummi and Steph on the Animation team are also wonderful. We had great weather so the pool (which is beautiful but cold) was perfect. The Crocodile bar at lunch is good value but could do with more variation and perhaps some tapas and more snack type food. W were half board and the breakfast and dinner were varied and tasty. On the negative, you do not get a good check in at reception. They don't tell you about wifi, they don't help you with your bags (4 star hotel?), they don't tell you how the charge to your room for drinks, they don't tell you there is a 600 Euro limit on credit to your room which is again not 4 star. Also they don't tell you how to get towelsfor the pool and there is always a big queue at reception.Josef on reception was very pleasant but the hotel should look at its policy and also a check list for reception staff to give full info on arrival. It was most irregular to be told by a waiter at breakfast to report to reception to pay our bill. We also got back to our room to see the ashtray was missing and I found 7 pieces of broken glass on the bathroom floor. However as I said we had a great time and had sons exceptional staff do with a bit of attention from management this hotel could be exceptional. Thanks again Dummi, Fany, Theresa, Franco and David and your colleagues whose were wonderful.

Lovely hotel, not too far from the beach.

This is our second stay and we find the hotel a lovely base. The rooms are a nice size and my wife and I like the surrounding area. We liked Puerto Banus and found Marbella pretty and interesting.
