Fantastic stay

This was our second time staying here and again we had a fantastic time. Staff were all friendly and helpful whether it was reception, restaurant or activity planners. The resort is clean and well maintained, the apartment was spacious and clean. We are a family of 7 so it can be difficult finding places to accommodate us comfortably! We had breakfast each morning and it was excellent, lots of choice so something for everyone. We would definitely return.

Great location and amenities. The weather was a bit cool so we mostly used the indoor pool wich was great. Great family hotel. The 2 bedrooms suite was even larger than I anrticipated with a fully furnished kitchen and large dining room and living room. However I have to say that the beach area is far from great, with lots of large rocks to cross to access the water directly in front of the hotel.

Are an amazing property in the Mirabella Spain area. Great rooms with excellent bedding and linens. Great fitness center along with 3 pools, 3 hot tubs and 1cold plunge tub. Property has a great restaurant “Soleras” and a lively pool bar with great happy hour events. Property is close to all the major, southern Spanish cities And Gibraltar is only an hour and 10 minutes to the west with its great tax free shopping district!

Theft from our hotel room

We visited with friends for a family 18th birthday. It was a girls trip so we had an apartment with 3 rooms.
My daughters Steve Madden brand new trainers were stolen from our bedroom and my friends Hermes black sandals. Both totalling around £450. I reported this to the hotel and asked them to check cctv and explained there was absolutely no other explanation that when we came to pack on our day of leaving that the items could have been misplaced in any other way. My daughter wore the trainers to travel in and had not removed them from the wardrobe before we came to leave. Where we found they had gone. I reported this in person and followed up from England but the hotel did nothing. They obviously have an internal
Issue with theft. I would not recommend this hotel

Great family holiday, Solera awful sorry.

We are quite familiar with this hotel, but for those who aren't, here are a few tips:

1) The hotel and grounds are impeccably maintained.
2) The rooms have a classic Spanish style (slightly dated) but are very well equipped.
3) The pools are excellent with plenty of options.
4) We were very satisfied with the self-catering apartments.
5) Everyone had a fantastic time.

However, the restaurant, Solera, is a downside. The breakfast was among the worst we've experienced in a hotel. We tried it once and were extremely disappointed.

Despite this, it shouldn't deter you from staying here because you can BBQ outside in the BBQ area, and there are shops nearby (Aldi is within walking distance). If you rent a car, there are plenty of activities in nearby towns like Estepona and Marbella.

Overall, it was an excellent trip (again). Addressing the lack of a decent restaurant would make it perfect.

We had an excellent day. The apartment was very spacious, well equipped and clean. The facilities were excellent. We stayed in March and was a little wet so our teenagers enjoyed the indoor pool, paddle, crazy golf, table, tennis and gym. We used the on-site shop and restaurant for a pizza takeaway. we find it very handy to explore the local area. All the staff were particularly friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.

Property is ok , large rooms , furniture bit dated. Nice facilities but looking tired. Effectively in the middle of nowhere so taxis everywhere if you don’t have a car. If you do have a car it is extremely difficult to find. Even the second time and especially if you are trying to arrive or leave when the large school next door (which looks like a prison) is starting or finishing.

Overall the hotel was very good. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Warm and welcoming staff with some great activities for kids of all ages. The rooms are a touch dated and the Spa is too. Could do with some modernising. The sauna is not very big and was not working properly on my visit the steam room was very dated. The gym on the other hand was excellent. Would i stay here again? Yes i would.👍

Comfortable and well maintained apartment. We were lucky to have a beautiful sea view BUT ground floor, so was a little close to poolside to use our balcony. Would have preferred at least one floor up for privacy.
Staff very polite and helpful. Minor repairs,( towel ring fell off wall ), were fixed immediately and nothing was too much trouble.
Enjoyed a lovely meal in on site Restaurant, Solero.
Cocktails by the pool were a bit of fun at happy hour 17:00 , but after a few days this type of holiday not the best suited to our family-( and teenagers not interested in sitting by the pool or being in the pool after a few minutes). Lots of older people 60s, 70s and beyond. Felt safe but not activity based enough for us. However, the morning ‘stretch ‘ classes in the yoga studio were excellent and likewise, Pilates. Gym used by teenagers but they said equipment was limited. However, indoor plunge pool and whirlpool area was very pleasing.

Checkout is at 10 AM and they charge a deposit to your credit card at check, almost twice as muchas the total value of your stay. At check out, you pay for the stay and your deposit will be refunded “a few days later.” Marriot doesn’t trust you and really likes keeping your money.

Wonderful stay in 2 Bedroom Apartment

Our check-in was smooth and the reception very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Apartment in the Almeria building and it was wonderful. Comfortable, clean and lots of room for our family of 5. The beach access was super convenient and the ability to use the indoor pool was awesome. As we were visiting in December only one outdoor pool was open during our stay and a bit too cold for swimming. The restaurant was also closed during our stay, but there are lots of restaurants nearby and a grocery store as well. The padel court, basketball court, and mini-golf were also great bonuses. We would definitely stay again, but a bit longer next time!

We only had a short stay but it was lovely from start to finish. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, more so than in an average hotel. Car parking was easy. Apartments are well equipped and we enjoyed the pool, kids club, restaurant and live music. The beach is outstanding (see photo).

We spent 4 nights 5 days and love the place so much. All staff are very friendly & place is very children friendly. The only disappointment was indoors swimming pools & spa place were closed for renovations during our stayed and we didn’t know until we got Hotel to check in, which was a huge disappointment. It was one of the factors I chose this property and didn’t get what I paid & expected for. Other than that it was a good holiday break & the whole family had great time.

Lovely winter break at this hotel in November

Lovely winter short break here with my family in November, we took our daughter and Nanny and Grandad and we all had a lovely time. The food was excellent at the pool bar, lovely service. Always able to get a lounger and we were lucky enough to get some sun to enjoy them! We used the Spa services and my husband and I felt very relaxed afterwards. We used the indoor pool and jacuzzis and our daughter enjoyed this - glad they this as too cold to swim outside at this time of year.

We had a wonderful week here. We can't fault anything apart from the beach which was very stony, but far from anything the hotel can do about it.

We don't think we have been anywhere recently where the staff were as friendly and accommodating as at this hotel, they made our stay extremely comfortable. We highly recommend staying here.

We have stayed before. It is a lovely property, well equipped and a good spread of things to do onsite. As a family we had fun as we have in the past. This is the first time in winter so outdoor pools, close to beach were of less importance/relevance. One complaint is that the only onsite restaurant was closed for planned refurbishment. There was no real alternative. They had set up a couple of small additional tables in the convenience store but this is nowhere near the same. We were there to celebrate our 30 year anniversary and intended to stay onsite and enjoy some champagne without having to be concerned with having to drive anywhere. We could not do this and needed to set out to search for an alternative in the general area. Hotels should tell clients if such basic facilities will not be available we can then factor that in to our ability to choose. Disappointing. I have left feedback direct with Marriotts in their survey and when asked if I would like a follow up call I said yes ..... yet to hear from them!

We loved the hotel! It was fully booked and still you didn't feel it. The layout of the hotel facilities was great. The apartment had everything you need for a stay with small kids, it's quite spacious and comfortable. It was nice that we could choose to either go to the restaurant or have a homemade meal. The housekeeping was great too, they came everyday to check for the basics and in the midweek they cleaned it all and change the beddings.
The hotel staff was great, very friendly and always smiling. We loved the BBQ area and the outdoor games area. Kids loved the kids pool with the slide.
All in all it was our best holidays with the kids and we are definitely coming back!

Great hotel on the beach (not in Estepona)

I really enjoyed my stay in the Marriott. Our room (4010) was spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the children's pool and a very handy small kitchenette facility. I enjoyed doing all the different activities such as mini golf and I liked having different pools for different uses (children, activities, relaxing). Staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel is right on the beach and although it is ok, it must be said it isn't the greatest I have seen. It is very stony on the shore line and in the sea making it difficult to paddle and I managed to cut my toe on a walk. It must noted that this hotel is half way between Estepona and Marbella so a car is highly recommended if you want to explore but you can, like us, get a bus from Marbella Bus Station (L79). There are a few restaurants around (which we didn't try) but if you want to cook for yourself Aldi is very close! Despite the location I loved staying here and relaxing.

Wonderful rooms - superbly equipped and stunning grounds/gardens. Not at all crowded and no scramble for sunbeds at the pool. Kids loved the slide in the kids pool! Only complaint is the location (in between Marbella and Estepona) so not great for restaurants to walk to in the evening and quite limited options in the hotel. Great Supermarket close by however so easy to cater yourselves. Fabulous place overall and staff all outstanding in their service level

We took 3 generations of our family to this vacation resort and all thought that it was very good site - excellent facilities, clean throughout and very helpful check-in staff. The only thing that let it down for us was the cost of the food and restaurants. We did not know that there was a full kitchen facilities from the pictures when we booked it. So, we relied on the restaurants and take-away Marketplace for food. Had we known, we would have stopped by at the nearby Carre Four and brought our own food to cook which would have been way cheaper - small kids portion of spaghetti was near €8, frozen lasagna from Marketplace was over €4!

Nice and relaxing in November

The hotel is wonderful. With the surrounding and beautiful whether it is perfect for the family holiday. By mistake I ended up spending a few days in the hotel alone. I had a spacesh and comfortable apartmant for a affordable price and thanks for that. Unfortunately I left my iPad in the Malaga taxi and wanted to get it back somehow. That prevented me to fully enjoy the Marriott Andalusia Resort.
Tommasso perfectly organised my visit to Malaga and Ronda and the receptionist Monica were more than helpful upon my arrival, effective and effecient. The rest of the staff were nice and polite but not effective. It took them long to get in touch with the police for my iPad at the end of the week which is regrettable not that efficient in Spain (working 6 hours from Monday to Friday from 9 to 15 hours).
In any case will recommend to the family people this resort.

Excellent location, very clean with very friendly staff providing an excellent customer service. Amenities were very clean and excellent pool facilities.
