Lovely hotel.

Very nice hotel we stayed several times. The breakfast is excellent I recommend to purchase it with the booking of the hotel. The lady who cooks omelets is the star! I’ll say all the staff very friendly.

Very relaxing hotel. It is no longer adults only, but still maintains a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast was varied with plenty of choice and good quality food. The snack bar also offered a wide selection of meals and cocktails. The lifeguard did an excellent job managing the sunbeds, so there was always good availability.

A slight update in decor would be good and it's a little further to get to the main port and town but we loved our stay regardless.

Was told this hotel closed, and given a exchanged hotel and told to confirm by email, which i did but received no confirmation, so i rang Expedia to be told original hotel was still open and sent email confirming this, turned up at hotel to find it closed, then went to exchange hotel and was booked in there, €80 euro taxi ride as opposed to €7 euro. Hotel was a total downgrade and the pool was closed 2 out the 4 dsys

The property is lovely. The rooms are huge if a little bit dated but really good quality furnishings etc. bad was massive.
Unfortunately the weather was foul so didn’t really get much of a chance to enjoy the pool area however the food in the poolside bar was decent.
My only criticism re staff is they really pushed you to order which put us off signing there. I like to relax and felt hurried one night sending the staff away 5 times. Once the food had arrived you really had to chase for the bill.
I’d stay again. Please just ask the waiting staff to back off a little. I would understand if we ate late but this was always early evening. They were very polite just overly hurrying

Fantastic hotel, great value for money compared to many other hotels close by.
Excellent breakfast.
Outside restaurant was very good.
Nice pool, good sunbeds and towels.
Really nice friendly staff.
There were problems though with our suite.
Shower mixer falling apart.
Aircon stopped working.
Sliding terrace door faulty
No centre lights so generally dark.

We booked as a reasonably priced hotel which was well located for our purposes.
Our room was kept spotlessly clean and tidy each day!
Service was fine, especially around the pool. On the opposite side of the A7 we found several great places to eat and have a drink.

like every one in the hotel, I have to change the hotel key card three or four times because this is an old school hotel. I was on the 5th floor and there was too much noise coming from the other room the whole night. Management is poor. There is no entertainment at all just eating and sleeping and there is no beach close . I order the meal octopus with potatoes , the food was too much salty and when they replaced it it s too cold and when I complained no one cared.

Simply amazing! Despite being an older hotel, rooms and common areas are well kept. You have an amazing breakfast with a wide choice of food and the pool area is beautiful. However, what stands out the most is the professional and friendly staff. Moreover, this hotels knows how to offer an excellent hospitality service even when dealing with problems. We had our neighbors who were playing loud music in the early hours of the morning, and the hotel staff did an excellent job. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

Starting with the positives …… our room was lovely and spacious the housekeepers were kind in leaving random things for us….. like folding the sheets a certain way, or mini chocolates on the bed. Little things that were noticed. The staff were also very nice around the hotel. The pool was always nice and clean on the rare occasion we did stay by it.. Now our main issue is that the place is advertised as adults only, it’s not …. There were children there everyday….. we specifically wanted adult only for personal reasons. So our days by the pool that we wanted were no longer. We tried to take this up with Expedia and asked if we could move hotel, but were told we would not get a refund. We spent two days looking before giving up. Our holiday had to change dramatically because of this and at a huge additional cost. For this reason you cannot trust Expedia. We very very specifically wanted adult only and it’s plain as day advertised as adults only. It’s not. We also had a huge stain on the carpet outside our room. It’s certainly not five star. So I’m hoping Expedia will do something by way of compensation before a false advertising legal complaint is filed as I am hugely out of expense as a result. The hotel is advertised as a beach resort….. it’s a 15 min walk to a stoney dirty beach. Again false advertising. They also, from what appears to be, pay influencers to come and stay and post about the hotel in attempt to market it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations.

One of the first things that stood out was the ease of parking. We rented a car for our trip, and the hotel’s parking facilities made it incredibly convenient. No hassle, plenty of spaces, and a secure environment left us stress-free right from the start.

The staff at Senator banus were phenomenal. From the friendly front desk personnel who greeted us with warm smiles to the helpful concierge who provided excellent recommendations for local attractions, every interaction was pleasant and professional. It’s clear that customer service is a top priority here.

Our room was immaculate, thanks to the amazing maids. Each day, we returned to a perfectly clean and comfortable room. The attention to detail was impressive, and it made our stay even more enjoyable.

Overall, provided a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and outstanding service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic stay. We will definitely be returning on our next visit!

The room was beautiful but I wouldn’t recommend the pull out sofa bed. Mattress Needs to be replaced. Thankfully we asked for a single bed. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the spa because they closed early. I was disappointed because after a long day out you need the spa.

I really like the Senator. I have stayed here many times and it is just great value but still providing big rooms, good food and the service is very good indeed. Dont be put of by the proximity to the road. Once you are in the hotel all the rooms are at the back overlooking the pools so you wouldn't know its there.

Nothing special mediocre service.

The hotel clearly needs quite a lot of maintenance, large stains on carpets and walls. It was cheap and this reflects the overall condition.
I was kept waiting for 30 minites to check in and not offered a drink or given an apology. When I got to my room it was a different configuration to that requested. On switching on the TV a different name came up so not sure I was in the right room.
Noisy from other rooms due to the wooden floors.

We booked a suite but was offered an upgrade on the Penthouse which we couldn’t refuse. It was absolutely stunning. Paying that bit extra was well worth it. There was so much space and the views were incredible. Having our own hot tub on days when the weather wasn’t so pleasant was a blessing.
Staff were very attentive and friendly and the cocktails were nice if not a bit steep. I will definitely be booking my next trip there, in the coming year.

I was so disappointed with this property, certainly not 5* customer service nor rooms. I booked this hotel for 1 night for my husband's 70th birthday. A few weeks prior, I wrote to the hotel directly and asked for them to provide cava and fruit in the room for our arrival. Nobody, at any time, asked me what time but said it was OK on the day we arrived as check in was at 2. I called on the morning of his birthday, about 2 hours prior to our arrival and was told that there would not be any fruit and cava as I did not specify the time and It was impossible to provide until after 7 in the evening. I explained we were leaving at 7:30 to go for a meal with the family, and again said it was my husband 70th Birthday and was told, quite rudely, there was nothing they could do, so I had to cancel. I am pretty sure they could have found at least a bottle of wine somewhere. Its a 5* Hotel and it wasn't free. It really did put a damper on my surprise for my husband. When we arrived we went to our room to find that there were no hand towels, no bath mat, a small amount of toilet paper and the cardboard inside of the previous toilet roll was next to the open toilet. We then tried to switch on the TV, remote not working so we turned it on on the TV itself and a welcome message to Mr G......G.....appeared. Obviously not us.I would have expected more from a 5* Hotel. My husband enjoyed the surprise of the hotel but I was upset that what I was hoping did not come to fruition. Quite angry!!!!

Very nice and helpful staff. As it was my birthday they surprised me with a bottle of cava, which was very thoughtful! Sandro at breakfast and the young man at the pool were very hard-working and dedicated, in fact they all were.

The rooms were very spacious and the location convenient. Breakfast was delicious, a lot of variety and very good quality, we even had fresh honey from a honeycomb!

I absolutely recommend the hotel!

The Staff was exceptionally helpful and kind, the pool was wonderful, the room was amazing, overall loved it.

If i had to nitpick or critique anything, it would be that there was an infestation of ants in our balcony and some got into the bedroom, but they were not fire ants at least. Another thing i would critique would be the lack of power plugs in the room, all 3 of them were taken up by lamps/lights and in order to charge both of our phones and our laptop we had to remove all 3 of them, so we would then have very little light in the room. The shower should have a longer door or glass cover, far enough so that water doesn't splash out so much after each shower/bath. Also the trashcans should have trash bags.

Even though i typed a lot to explain my nitpicks, i will say i thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will very likely come to stay again for a future holiday, thank you for allowing me and the woman i love have a holiday that brought us infinitely closer together. Until we visit again!

Estuvimos recientemente. El hotel esta muy bien. Localizado a mitad de camino de estepona y Marbella. Las suites son espectaculares. El internet muy rapido. El desayuno muy bien y con un servicio fenomenal. Tuvimos un pequeño problema de mantenimiento que solucionaron rapidamente. En general la gente es amable. Creo que un gym mejoraria aun mas el hotel. Was all going great - nice property in a good spot - when a group of drunken tourists got back around 5am. That’s not the hotel’s fault, but their choice of solution was horrendous: to try and find who it was making all the noise, they started CALLING ROOMS AT 6am ON A SATURDAY to ask if we were the ones making the noise? Terrible way to manage the situation: drunks waking people up is in bad taste; a hotel randomly waking even more people up to ask them if they’re the ones making the noise? Inexcusable.
