Booked a 4 bed room but only two beds in room and not enough pillows or towels. Found trash under the bedside table including nail cuttings, after complaining and showing pictures they still did not clean it up after 3 days stay. Went for dinner at the buffé right at opening and food was already cold and the whole experience felt overpriced. We booked the hotel for the Indoor pool but it was closed for renovation in the indoor season(stupid) horrible experince and will write a google review to not recommend staying at this hotel

Nice 4 day break in the sun

I thought the food choices were great although the food wasnt hot - it was warm at best. Plenty of foods to choose from at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sunbeds are past their best and most beed replacing. The air con is pretty much terrible. I have to be honest, if you are a hot person, you'll struggle. I had to drag my bed under the fan/AC to try and get some sleep. Hotel spotlessly clean and i thought drinks were good price. It is 20 minute walk to newrest anything so a car would be advantageous. Staff friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Overall it was ok but attention to detail was lacking. The reception staff were nice but the restaurant staff were rude. The shower head in our bathroom was loose and fell on my daughter’s head. I asked for a kettle to be brought to the room twice and I was ignored. There were large hornet type insects on the window above some tables in the breakfast room. Paint was peeling off the bottom of the bathroom door. The pool was lovely but the sun loungers were covered in leaves and some had bird muck on them and had to be brushed off before use. I would not go back unless I had no choice.

Is it 4 star? Not sure why? Having just stayed in a 3 star in the UK with a wealth of luxury on offer Hotel Paraiso is lacking behind. Having to rent a kettle not good. The breakfast is very poor. Cheap streaked bacon, not very warm beans, tomatoes and sausages. Coffee that is not good at all, and the same every day on offer every day. Needs a total shake up and up dating. Hotels are now offering more than ever in this competitive world, not less.

Modest hotel at a modest price

The hotel is conveniently situated close enough to the beaches at a 10 minute drive, and likewise golf courses.

The room was large and spacious but with only one wooden chair it wasn't comfortable. The views of the mountains an coastline were splendid and the bed was very comfortable.

The meals were very disappointing, so consider going on a room-only basis despite the very modest price difference.modest

Quick check in bearing in mind that I requested a room not on the ground floor and the hotel had assigned a room on the ground floor. Allocated one on the second floor. Unfortunately the second night stay was marred by a group of French families singing and talking at the top of their voices until just after 0230 hrs. This comment was shared by other families at b/fast. The night receptionist should have addressed the problem.

Chose this hotel as it is a few minutes drive from family’s villa in Benahavís. Wouldn’t recommend location if wanting to be near Puerto Banus but was great for us. Hotel is clean and tidy but nothing special! Couldn’t get 2 beds round pool so my partner and I had to share. Very busy at this time of year. Games such as bingo are played around pool and disco dancing in the evening - not the place if you’re looking for a romantic couples trip! Bedroom was clean and tidy but bed extremely hard and air con wasn’t great. Engineer did come and attempt to fix but wasn’t cold as it should be for our entire stay. Overall fine for the money - a clean base to sleep in but wouldn’t want to spend time in the hotel bar/restaurant or pool area.

Sizeable hotel up a hill north side of careterra.

Decently specked hotel which has had a makeover in recent years.
Mountain view is better than pool view for us - as it's a noisy pool during school hols.
Our kids loved it when they were younger. Staff charming.
Family oriented but you really need wheels. Nowhere to walk to in vicinity unless
you're fit enough for hill climb from the careterra (A7) ribbon development. The beach is other side of this main road and still some distance at that.
Walkers can use foot bridge to cross this road but drivers need to drive 2.5m along it to Cancelada's cambio de sentido (change of direction).

Good location for golf but quite remote for everything else and you definitely need a car (parking is free). We stayed a few years ago and vastly improved now. Lots of multi-national tour groups so can get a bit busy but plenty of room in lounge, pool area and restaurant. Food is OK though more vegetables on buffet would be good! Desserts not imaginative but nice cheese available. Rooms are comfy and spacious with big balcony and great views. For UK guests, upside several UK TV channels (BBC1 & 2, Channel 5, BBC and Sky news) downside, no tea tray. Safe (payable) and fridge (free). Lots of sun loungers. Friendly helpful reception staff who offered a cold dinner in our room when we arrived at 9.30 (we advised them by email that we would be arriving late) but restaurant was open anyway till 10.00pm.

A Terrible hotel to stay. Arrived for a four night stay and checked out after one night. When I arrived the weather in the area was over 22 degrees and the room was boiling hot and uncomfortable. The air-conditioning wouldn't work and when I queried with the receptionist she stated that the air-con 'wasn't switched on until the summer'. The advert clearly stated 'fully air conditioned climate control rooms'. Avoid at all costs.

More like 2 star. I was upgraded as my first room was filthy and in bad state of repair and was upgraded. The restaurant for breakfast was disgusting and I have photos but don't know how to send to you. If I'd been a health inspector I would have closed it down. I decided to have breakfast outside of hotel. If I put the photos on internet no one would go. I feel I should receive compensation. I've sent two photos and would like to be contacted

A quick break

Went for 4 nights yo surprise my daughter who was in an apartment near by.
Arrived late awful room booking said balcony seemed to have the only room in hotel without one.room 101 I think any room ending 01 does not have a balcony just an old unmodernised room.
The manager could not find me another room that evening.
The Rate I was pay was £155 per night so not cheap.

Next day got changed to mountain view room with balcony much better,room clean and adequate although only English TV channel was Sky news.

Breakfast just OK.
Night entertainment near the pool really loud nowhere to sit in hotel for a little quit time.
Pool situation was a joke no entry to the pool until 10am then a free for all for the beds,I didn't get one.

Hotel has a 5 star pool,5 star setting 5 star views , the 4 star rating it has in my much travelled opinion is a good 3 star but the setting really is good.
Will I go there again Hmm

Having stayed at this hotel twice previously I must say they have made some great improvements over the last year. The public areas have been refurbished to a high standard and there seemed to be a lot more staff around who were also more friendly than previous trips. The bathroom refurbishments were also very welcome as previously were very old fashioned. We stayed all inclusive and the food was ok but nothing special and always not very warm. I think that would be the main area I would look to for suggesting improvement.

Lovely quiet hotel with great pool & surroundings!

Just had a fantastic half board week at this hotel.. the surroundings - it borders a fabulous golf course - are great. The hotel facilities with its amazing pool are superb, and so are the rooms & staff & food. About a 15 min walk down into the lovely Puerto de Estepona with its harbour, many reasturants & bus routes. If i had to find a negative about the whole trip it would be making the walk back up the hill from the harbour - a gradual incline which could be hard if it's hot, but really am just nit-picking here! Absolutely love this area... will be.back! Thank you Expedia!

Its a very nice hotel but could do with a lick of paint and a full refurbishment and remodernization. My son likes games rooms but this one was of a very poor standard with old games. The staff were excellent throughout. The food was very basic. We have gone before in summer and the food was excellent so that was a bit of a let down. Another disadvantage is that we are a family of 4 and there are no rooms that cater for 4 people so we can only visit when one of my sons are not with us or book 2 rooms which is ridiculous as 4 is the most common family compliment.

An absolutely amazing price quality ratio

We didn't really get a nice room but were offered to change and refused because too lazy.
Wifi is absolutely great (and free) everywhere in the hotel, the restaurants and at the indoor swimming pool. Breakfast and dinner were decently good, moreover when you consider the price.
No problem for parking outside.

Great hotel but truly shocking service by hotels.com

The hotel we booked into and then the hotel we eventually stayed in were fine for the small amount of time we were able to actually stay there. Hotels.com were notified that there was no room available yet did not notify us and so on arrival we had no room. I had to get ready for the wedding in the hotels toilet.We had travelled 40k from the airport to the hotel that was 0.7k from our wedding venue, on arrival we were told we had be moved 40k back towards the airport and 40 k away from our venue. Our wedding was in 3 hours so we did have sufficient time prior to the make the 3 hour return trip and it would also have cost 180 euros . We had no option but to get ready in the toilet . So rather than relax by the pool for 3 hours prior to our wedding we had to stand at reception and make alternative arrangements that included calling hotels.com who failed to contact us or the hotel back to resolve the issue. We then had to transfer to the different hotel at 3pm in the morning as it took over an hour to get a taxi to drive the 40k and then another hour in the taxi . The transfer also cost 90 euro. Had hotel.com notified us on 4th August when the hotel informed us all of this could have been avoided and they would not have completely ruined my trip to my best friends wedding

The staff were very rude and did refused to give me my all inclusive wristband even though I paid extra to be issued it.
My room did not have a door for the bedroom meaning the air conditioning did not work properly and it was very hot.
Would not recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, kind of out of the way.

This place was a huge hotel up in the hills. It's a little off the beaten path, but it's a nice hotel. We showed up later in the evening after booking it about an hour before so they had some trouble with the reservation. But it was a nice hotel and the buffet dinner was good as well. There's not really all that much around it.

We had a mid week stay with our 4 year old daughter. Room was ok although hotels.com states that mini bar included, actually you get charged 3 euros a day just to have it in the room. Hotels.com also states that it is buffet dinners, not happy to find only choice of two things, starters soup or salad and mains fish or meat, nothing else. not good and not what we paid for.
Air conditioning packed up and although someone looked at it nothing changed.
Indoor pool is great and also still in outdoor pool end of October. Staff very helpful.

I was there for business, it is not a business hotel! Very family orientated, loads of kids, very Spanish (which is nice) and no wi-fi in rooms or anything. Huge pool, great gardens, plenty on but you would need a car to get out and about.

A Perfectly acceptable hotel

There are some areas of the hotel that are a little tired but overall it's fine. We've stayed a couple of times and the rooms at the back have superb views over the golf courses to the mountains and sea, and the ones in front overlook a great pool area down to the sea. Unless you intend de-camping at the hotel for the duration of your visit a car is necessary to get you to the strip of bars and restaurants at the bottom of the hill, and to the beach. There are only two bars/restaurants within walking distance. The rooms and bathroom are a reasonable size and are well maintained. There is free parking and the pool area is really nice. We'll stay again.

problem with all-inclusive policy

This hotel offers all-inclusive package holidays to Spanish companies.It is very difficult for non-all-inclusive guests to get any service.The staff have no time for you and make you feel like a bit of a nuisance.The noise is also very bad particularly at weekends.We have visited this hotel many times but wont be going again

Lovely hotel. We only stayed for one night but it was a pleasant stay. you will definately need a car if you stay here as the hotel is a fair way back off the main road and all up hill. great walk and amazing views . the room was clean and tidy as was the hotel in general. Friendly staff, value for money, good service. Rooms clean, although bathroom in particular a little tired. Decor is somewhat 1930's in style (lots of panelled wood) although this did suit the trad/jazz music that was being played in the bar! Outside pool cold (although it was October), indoor pool and spa excellent. Continental breakfast was good but english offering not so. Coffee from machine's only like warm. Buffet dinner ok (soup great) although a little fish orientated for our taste.

The hotel is way of the track and to find it you have to drive on roads that seem sometimes like a construction site. The hotel is high on a hill and to be fair was quiet and had very nice gardens.
The breakfast was good and plentiful but the dinning area was very tired with windows sills needing tile ledges replacing.It was however clean and frankly a brilliant view.
The rooms are large and have color flat screen TV. No English channels however. Air con a little noisy but effective.
All in all at the lowest price on the net expedia should continue to support bookings to TRH.

This hotel was lovel, nice clean spacious rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast excellent everything you could possibly want to eat.. Fabulous gardens and pool. The only downside is, it is a long way fron Estapona and the coast, high on a hill. You would need a car to go anywhere.

Great value option in the Marbella area. Located on a hill, around golf courses in a residential area. Close to restaurants (along the main highway).

A little worn and in need of some minor refurbishments but generally very well kept. Bed was a little firm.

Rooms on south side have view of the Mediterranean. Large pool also has great views of the sea.

Free WiFi available in ground and 1st floor near lobby.

Breakfast was included in our rate. The breakfast buffet was good.

Seems to be popular with bus/package tour groups from around Europe.

After reading many reviews of this hotel I was curious about what I would find, since the reviews were very mixed.

As someone who travels extensively, I now understand the problem. This is a strictly European hotel. There were no Americans there during our stay. They do not cater to an American tourist.

OK- the rugs are old- but clean. The rooms and the eating areas were fine- there was plenty of food at breakfast- much more than you should expect to find at no extra charge at many hotels. The room service everyday did an excellent job keeping the room clean. And true- the tv has no American/English channels- but I was not in Spain to watch TV.

There are several wonderful restaurants near by- esp the one out of the hotel tp the right and left down the hill. One quick lunch in the hotel was ok- don't expect more- again, I was in Spain for the fish and bbq.

The staff was wonderful- from the maids to the waiters to the front desk, they could not do enough for us or be nicer.

It was an excellent base for our trips to Granada, Cordoba and Tangier. You MUST have a car to stay here.

As a regular at the El Paraiso

As a regular at the El Paraiso for over 25 years, I always enjoy my stays. Not a luxury hotel, but offers really good value for money, especially for this part of the coast. In a quiet location, 10-mins west of San Pedro & 15-mins from Puerto Banus, it is situated 1-mile up hill from the Crowne Plaza & Benavista and has great 180-degree views of the coast, all the way to Gibraltar. The outdoor pool & gardens are great for relaxation, plus indoor pool, sauna and hot-tub. Ask for a room on the 4th or 5th floor, overlooking the pool. It is not a 'lively' hotel and that is one of the reasons I return; it enables me to chill out and recharge my batteries in pleasant surroundings. A car is probably essential here. Also, there are some good restaurants at the bottom of the hill and the hill is rather steep (especially on the way up!). For a real treat, try the Ramos Restaurant, 5-mins walk from the hotel. Horrible, Dated Hotel, Rude Staff

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night, we requested a non-smoking room, the woman on check in was very rude (not to Spanish people though!!) They don't have a proper check-in system, they have it all on paper and have to look through a list of names to find your reservation (Making check-in take a very long time!)
We arrived in our room to find it was a smoking room and the wall was falling apart!
I went back down to reception and I handed back the key and told the woman that we requested a non smoking room, She had to ruffle through all her paperwork as if I was lying and I told her about the wall, she completely ignored what I said and handed me a key to another room (An actual key, not a key/card)
The next room was clean but the beds were not comfortable as the matresses seemed to be made out of some sort of plastic...
On a whole, the hotel is very dated and would be nice if someone put the effort in to do it up.
The pool area was nice but that was the only up side to the hotel.

A Good Value

On the whole, this is a nice place. The room is fairly clean and spacious, but the carpeting was kind of old. No TV channels in English, though. The breakfast was good and the swimming pool is very nice. Right by several golf courses as well.

we thought it was excellent, the only thing is i thought we were going to view the pool and gardens from our room but instead we were looking at the mountains. the food was good and the wonderful gardens roses leading to the pool was a delightful sight, there was a heated pool and jacuzzi. the weather was gorgous so we used the exterior large pool, good value recommended.

교통이 조금 불편한 것 말고는 모든 것이 훌륭합니다. 에스테포다 버스터미널이나 마베야쪽에서는 택시 이용을추천합니다. 요금도 10ㅡ15유로 정도입니다.
그리고 리셥션에도 매우 친절한 스태프가 있습니다. 특히 Mr. Jaime와 Miss Tania는 투숙 객들에게 아주 좋은 호감을 줄것입니다.

No es nuevo, pero vale la pena.

Todo muy bien, las vistas son maravillosas, tanto hacia el mar como hacia la montaña. El hotel no es nuevo, pero está muy limpio y bien conservado. Bufet de desayuno y cena muy variado, correcto.

Har været godt - er det ikke længere

Udsigten fra altanen mod bjergene var fantastisk. Værelset - som resten af hotellet meget slidt. Væggene papirtynde, som at sove sammen med sine 20 bedste venner. Mangelfuld rengøring, ingen bademåtte, afskallet maling, døren til værelset har været brudt op - dette meldt i december 2016 og stadig ikke repareret, 8 år senere!! “Hot breakfast” var iskold, juicen fra koncentrat - i Spanien, appelsinernes land. Alle overflader beskidte og ikke rengjort. Mange børnefamilier og larm i den kæmpestore restaurant. Check-in var virkelig søde og rare. Dyrt i forhold til det topmoderne, superlækre hotel, vi kom fra i Sevilla.

Good wiew. Good service allthough the english was not the best.
Resturant food expensive and 3/5 for the alternative buffé. 1/5 becuase drink not included.
Room was ok, I got a glas with dried lipstick on.
The shower handle was not clean at all and old.
Very smal tv.
Also got a room with 2 side door beetwen that could entry to the other room. Good if you have family with kids. I could her the other person breath.

Pool was also ok.

For a 4 star hotel was this not worth the money.

Recommdation to the hotel:
1: staff with good english speaking.
2. Rooms with better shower handles.
3. Bigger TV with smart functions.
4. Better food options , ask the guests what they like over time , and go after that.

Inte ett 4 stjärnigt hotell

Slitet hotell. Det blev fel direktivs incheckning vi fick ett rum som redan var upptaget av andra. ( !)
Fanns ingen bäddmadrass det fick vi begära. Garderobsdörren gick knappt att öppna och stänga. Fick hyra vattenkokare av reception. Ingen safe box utan att hyra. Poolområdet var ok. Dålig service i baren . Hissen lät som den inte haft service på länge.

Hotel de 4 estrechas pero como si fuesen 2 estrell

Las peores habitaciones cuando se reserva desde Hoteles.com habitaciones sin reformar, ducha sin agua caliente y sin preaviso. Instalaciones muy antiguas. Para 140€ la noche, fue pésima la experiencia.
