l've stayed at the Plaza several times over the last four years. Of all the rooms I've had here, this room was by far the most in need of updating and renovation. The hotel's location is great for access to Venice, the Cortina bus, and the airport, but rooms are more hit-or-miss than I
had known. Given that the off-season rates are great and the breakfast is also very good, l'd still recommend the hotel, just not as strongly as I have in the past.

Opened the window as room very stuffy then couldn't close it. Both drains in the bathroom extremely slow to drain. Cockroach on the bed. Some items in the room very dated. Much smaller room than the website indicates

Location was very convenient. It's right across the Mestre train station. Bus stop to/from the airport and Venice is also in front of the hotel.
Not so beautiful ambient around the hotel (next to the station), however we didn't worried about it since the bus stop is less than 1min by foot.
Our triple room was very spacious. The building itself was a bit aged, but the room was very cleaned. Receptionists were nice and friendly.
The breakfast was pretty good and wide selections.

It is a standard hotel. I picked for the convenience to the train station. No luxury, but it did the job.

The staff was excellent. We arrived early, and they were really good with our luggages. They were also excellent with arranging private taxies.

The location was excellent, staff responsive, the breakfast was great but several maintenance issues required attention:
1.The bathroom drain emitted an unpleasant odor, though it was promptly cleaned after we reported it.
2.We noticed two bugs in the bathroom; staff sprayed the area and resolved the issue quickly.
3.The bathroom window was not securely attached and could detach if opened fully. This was reported at checkout.
4.The mattress became uncomfortable and collapsed by the third night; the issue was also reported.
5.Ongoing construction beneath our window caused significant noise, which had not been disclosed prior to our stay.
6.The shower curtain did not adequately prevent water from spilling onto the bathroom floor, so we had to be careful to keep water from flowing into the room beneath the door.

Bare Minimum Hotel

The hotel's convenient location near the train station is its biggest advantage. However, the rooms are quite basic with bare amenities. The carpet was dirty and stained, which was a bit off-putting.

There's only one power outlet in the room, which might be a challenge for some guests.

The toilet lacked essentials like toiletries and bathroom slippers. Only a 3-in-1 shampoo, shower gel and hand soap for guests.

Breakfast was simple and unremarkable.

While the hotel's location makes it easy to get around, the room's condition and limited amenities might not make it the best value for the price.

Overall, it's a decent option for a short stay, but not ideal for those seeking more comfort and luxury.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff are always accommodating and helpful. The bed was very large and comfortable. Easy internet access but tv only showed Italian, French or German speaking channels. Transport is excellent as the train station is opposite the hotel. The train will take you straight not Venice or any other parts of Italy. Great stay (again).

Property is located right across the street from the train station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not included. Everything is old. needs update. You cant even sit straight on the toilet. Shelf in the way. Doorknob on closet fell off. Only provided one pillow per person. Didnt give us bath towels one night. Didnt answer phone . Had to go downstairs to speak to reception.

Loved the location of this hotel close to the train station, proximity to the ATVO office and airport pick up, and to dining and coffee options.

The room was spacious and the bathroom large. The bathtub was a little high off the ground, which was a little tricky and could use a bit of maintenance and updating, but overall, plenty of space to move about.

The room itself was great; the hallways wide and quiet. The second twin-sized bed was practically falling apart and the slats unsteady which is quite dangerous.

The lobby was very nice with many seating options. Elevators quick and fast moving.

The staff could manage to be a bit more friendly/welcoming. The check in and check out felt transactional. The staff person on the other end of the phone call to reception seemed a bit annoyed when I called to confirm breakfast start and end time. I would consider staying at this hotel again if the staff were a tad bit friendlier/hospitable. They seemed to busy with speaking Italian amongst themselves then truly welcoming me and my family to the hotel.

The hotel is right across the street from the Eurail trains. No taxi needed. They have a nice breakfast with lots of choices for $12 euros per person. It’s better than the crowded tourist area of central Venice.

The pros: Good water pressure in shower.
Bed sheets were clean and white.

The cons: The hotel is in need of a major renovation!!!
Mold is very common in the bathroom glass
fixture. Hallway and room halls are scratched
and damaged. Huge cracks of around 3
inches in places can be found on the
walls.and floors. A/c is barely functional.
Area around the hotel is a very busy and ugly
downtown neighborhood. I don't understand
how this hotel can be given a four star
rating!!!

The hotel is clean, comfortable beds, convenient location (right across the Mestre train station with direct bus and train going to Venice and direct bus to VCE airport). Nice hot continental breakfast in a very spacious dining area as well.
Only con side is the renovations in the room is quite old and it’s more like 3-star than 4-star to me.
Overall it’s satisfying.

This is a super convenient location to access the train station if you’re going into Venice or other locations. The hotel itself seems to rely on its location, as the beds and pillows were hard, the hallway carpets had multiple stains and there was zero decor on the walls. The parking is located offsite around the block and isn’t connected directly to the hotel. Good place for a quick stop but not multiple nights.

Prompt, efficient and early check in. Room clean. Unfortunately only one plug socket in room so had to go out to buy an extension, as more than one person so more than one device needed charging at once. Breakfast reasonable offering, not as much choice as previous small 3 star hotel we had just been to, and had to pay extra for it at The Plaza. Even had to wait for plates. Very good location for buses, train, trams and airport bus.

The young lady was not knowing what she was supposed to do with really bad attitude the whole time! And please be aware of even if she confirmed that we have free breakfast next morning while checked in, the hotel might still charge you anyway when checked out, which is an unpleasant situation.

Poor service, the staff showed very bad attitude to customers, with no smile and no patience at all. Can’t believe it was rated as 4 stars hotel. However the hotel itself was pretty nice and the location was very convenient for travelers, but a bit noisy around. I would not recommend this place.

We liked that the hotel was opposite the train station so it was super convient. The lobby and breakfast area was lovely, good choice of food.
I wouldnt recommend a classic room, there was a strange odur when entering and the beds were like sleeping on a rock, super hard and gave me a very bad back, i mentioned this to reception and asked for a extra duvet and they just suggested to take painkillers for my back and that they didnt have anything to help. There is also no tea & coffee facilities in the room, there is no way this should be 4 star hotel. Think they need the update the rooms has very outdated.

Would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in room and also grab rails in bathroom might be helpful to some. Water not that hot when having a shower and noisy from furniture if rooms upstairs. Very handy bogie buses into Venice and to the airports though.

This property does what it’s designed to do. It’s not a luxury hotel, but as a stopover between a train and a bus to the mountains, its location works nicely. It’s also very convenient for a quick ride into Venice. I will stay again.

Convenient to train station, close to bus transport to Venice. Check in was smooth and we took advantage of the luggage story since we arrived before check in time.
Some upgrading is being done and our room had a newer bathroom compared to one of our other travel companions. There is carpet in the rooms which is quite dated and could use replacing.

Hotel it’s in a really good location right in front of a train station. Everything was really good in the hotel, except the man at the check in was little rude but everybody else was really good people.

It's a good hotel from the price value perspective.
One minor thing is it doesn't provide parking.
I used \"STAR\"[arling lot as the hotel guide. However, in the end, I had to pay in full when I went out because the parking coupon I had paid at the hotel had expired.
