BEautiful hotel on Lake Titicaca in Puno, Peru, with a dock to walk right to the lake. The staff is courteous, the room is clan and with beautiful balcony facing west and a view of sunset. The food options are limited but OK. Breakfast does have some vegetarian items for vegetarians or vegans. I was greeted with a welcome plate of alfajores (Peruvian specialty sweets) left on the table in the room at my arrival. That was nice - alfajores were delicious! Thank you Casa Andina!

I had a car and have been given free parking. Gettin to the hotel and the city of Puno is a driving challenge, but with patience and lots of luck one can manage it as I did.

I enjoyed in the stay at this hotel.

The hotel and staff are great. The rooms were always clean and the staff was always willing to help with whatever was needed. The views were also amazing and a lovely way to wake up. The hotel is about a 10-15 min drive to the Plaza where all the action is but if taking a taxi back and forth is okay for you then this is a great hotel.

Wonderful hotel, great value. Miriam in the reception was extremely helpful when we needed to change our room, hotels.com is misleading when it says double beds, they are full size beds and not queen size, we needed a change in our room so we could sleep comfortably. Miriam was extremely helpful.
We want to give a special mention to our driver Leoncio Puma, we met him at the hotel while he was there to drive another guest, and hire him to take us to the airport the next day. Very professional, clean and comfortable car, even offer to stop along the way for some sightseeing.

We only had time for one night here but it was special. Our lake view room was very nice and had a great view of Lake Titicaca both at night and during the day. We had an excellent dinner at the restaurant and the buffet breakfast was excellent. Wish we had had more time for an extended stay. Beautiful grounds added to our pleasure.

Excellent choice for Puno. On Lake Titicaca with amazing views. Easy to get to the dock for tours of the lake. Great breakfast choices. Bar and restaurant very good. Room was spacious and very clean. Very comfortable bed and beautiful linens. The only problem, and it was minor, is that it's easy to hear every noise in the hallway. Using a \"white noise\" app on my iPhone solved that problem.

The location is far from the city center. the hotel looks dated and the room are average.
I had a lot of problem with their internet with my mac air (Apple) Had the same problem in Arequipa.

We got stuck in Lima after missing a connection. Checked in at 2 am. The staff was extremely accomodating, the facility was clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect for exploring the safe surrounding neighborhood. Price is an excellent value. Breakfast is delicious.

When we asked the staff for advice on some specific excursions we wanted to do, we were only upsold and suggested expensive trips with their agents (which wasnt what we were asking for). Terrible smell came outside of the hotel when either the city or the hotel were pumping sewage.

We had a nice stay. Very nice view over the lake. Good breakfast. Unfortunately the lake is totaly poluted and it stinks in particular around 3 AM in the morning. After three days we were happy to leave Puno due to this polution. It's obviously not the responsability of the Hotel. There is a free WIFI however it absolutly does not work so you have to pay per day S 35 to get access for a good WIFI. The Hotel should not quote that they have free WIFI. In any case I would stay again at this nice Hotel.

Top Pick for Puno, Peru

This may be the nicest hotel in Puno, Peru. It is located on the north side of town, close to the shoreline of Lake Titicaca. The facility was well kept up, clean, and the staff friendly, efficient, and eager to help you. The back terrace gave a terrific view back to the city; at night it is enchanting. The bar makes a good Pisco Sour, and the restaurant has numerous local choices. The Inca Lake Travel Agency arranged drop-off and pick-up to/from their tours (including the Cusela Tourist Bus from Cusco), so we did not need a car or have to learn how to drive Peru style!!

One of the nicest hotels in Puno

The hotel is quite nice and the grounds are well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful and offered good service. The rooms and restaurant have a beautiful view of the lake. There is a nice pier that some touristic companies will pick you up at to view the floating islands. The room itself was average, the beds and pillows were quite uncomfortable. The walls were paper thin and conversations, movement and snoring could be heard easily within adjacent rooms.

Arrived at hotel to find they did not have a room that matched our booking. Gave us a free upgrade to a suite. Very very comfortable bed and room. Service was good and being outside of Puno was great. Has its own private pier that tours pick you up from. Restaurant is so so and quite expensive. Bar food and drinks were better. There is a cash machine at the hotel that is very convenient.

Perfect hotel on the Lake

Make sure you grab a lake view room. It's truly spectacular! The hotel is a 10 minute drive into town which was perfect for us. It's quiet and just beautiful. After trekking the Inca Trail, this was a nice relaxing getaway. Don't miss the floating island tours. That's a much.
The hotel has oxygen in the lobby which is important to know since it's up almost 4,000m. I used it twice. Thank you Casa Andina! I'll be back!

Fantastic location next to the lake.

All staff extremely polite and friendly. A couple of issues were resolved immediately and to our complete satisfaction. Firstly our rate was not supposed to include breakfast but due to an Expedia error at time of booking breakfast was showing as included on the website. We were provided with breakfast without any argument. Secondly, we were disturbed by building noise at 07:30 on the first morning which was unacceptable for such a premium hotel. We were moved to another room with a much nicer view! Again no discussion and the matter was resolved. Apart from these issues, the hotel is beautiful and in a lovely location. The restaurant is also a very high standard and probably one of the best in Puno. We had a very nice and memorable stay here and I would not hesitate to recommend Casa Andina Premium Puno.

Great Staff at the Casa Andina Private Collection

After a great train trip to Puno on the Andean Explorer, we spent two nights at the Casa Andina Private Collection in Puno. It would have been good if the hotel had offered a free pickup from the train station. We had a spacious room, but the heater was not adjustable, and it was a bit chilly. The toilet (room 226) had some issues which was a bit of an annoyance. The included breakfast was good, and restaurant service excellent (especially Maricruz, who was great). The maintence man was my hero as he performed a small miracle repair on my shoe that split open after hiking at Machu Picchu and in the Amazon.

Beautiful view of Lake Titicaca from our room.

We have a lovely experience at Casa Andena Private Collection in Puno, Peru. The staff was so friendly, at the front desk, at the bar, and especially in the restaurant. Marci was always so cheerful. We enjoyed Maricruz too. While the property is a short taxi ride out of Puno, it was worth it for us to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the taxi ride was only about $4 US.

A Nice Place to Stay in Puno

The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful and the restaurant cuisine superb. Our favorite breakfasts in Peru actually. The room was comfy, but the shower water pressure and temperature was hard to regulate and sometimes even difficult to turn on. Overall, however, a very nice place to stay although the surrounding neighborhood was not so nice, at least it is on a beautiful lake setting. The city of Puno is not so great, not nearly as nice as Arequippa or Cusco, but that is the lay of the land I think in that part of Peru. If you are going to see Lake Titticacca, however, this is a very nice place to stay.

Casa Andina Private Collection in Puno is a really lovely hotel. It's located right on Lake Titicaca with great waterfront views. The staff was courteous and helpful during our stay, and the room was very comfortable. My boyfriend and I stayed there for a couple of days after an intense 5-day hike to Machu Picchu, so we were more than happy to rest and relax on the hotel's outdoor terrace. The food is great too! One detail to note: the hotel is a 10-15 minute drive from Puno's downtown area. We didn't mind the distance at all, but others may prefer a more centrally located spot.

2-bed lakeview ground/lower floor room. Bed comfortable, room clean. Room a bit crowded with one chair, table, desk, and beds. Patio had one plastic chair. Clothesline in tub. Plenty warm.

Limited view of lake; would be much better on upper floor. Avoid room 116, I think is number, first room off halway to restaurant. Noisy from guests and no privacy on patio.

Staff responded to all our requests. We were tired checking in late, so we may have missed information that was volunteered. No list of hotel services, etc. in room.

Breakfast was fine and offered 5-10am. Dinner was OK.

Small grounds. Very short walk on pier over reeds with birds, cows. Train only passes twice a day. Quiet location to relax.

We booked this hoyel as an indulgence. After walking the Inca trail we wanted to visit Lake Titicaca and wanted somewhere nice to stay. The hotel underwhelmed almost from the second we arrived. The front desk personnel were polite and courteous but essentially incompetent. Everything took twice as long as it should. I overheard other guests discussing the impact of a possible strike on their planned departure from the hotel. I asked about this and was told not to worry (big mistake).

The restuarent is capable but heavy handed. A real shame in a country with fantastic cuisine.

Our first room was noisy and the bed extrelmely uncomfortable. We were subsequently moved (for a modest up-sell) to a much nicer lake view room with a king bed. The room was very satisfactory.

The day prior to departure we wanted to tour the lake. Surprizingly their was no concierge and the best the from desk could do was point us toward Lima street where there were \"lots of travel companies\". Fortunately we found a great one, but not one suggested by the hotel.

I asked about departure the following morning, given that the strikes were known to be happening (though there had been more than one recently we had no appreciation of the impact). Again the same person on the fron desk deferred any action/booking of transport. Upon return that evening I was stunned to learn that we needed to leave the hotel at 3am the next morning. It could have been later, but were one of the last to book.

Great place to stay

I booked a night for 2 kids and 2 adults. When I showed up with a third child the desk manager pleasantly upgraded us to a triple room. Made our stay much more pleasant. The food in the restaurant was great and the bar was well stocked(It was nice to get a good cocktail after 5 previous days of only Pisco Sours). They also offered a competitive exchange rate. The hotel is a few blocks out of town so there were no street vendors to annoy us.
