Beautiful place, staff friendly and the food is excellent. They have a Oxigen tank and hot tea as needed for the high sickness . Room has an electrical heater and a good pressure of hot water. I am really enjoying this place.

Exceptional service from Jose!!

The hotel was a bit dated in Ok condition. But the service was exceptional, particularly I want to mention Jose Mayta, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and take care of us. Just because of him I will give a 5 star instead of a 3 or 4.
Even though they assigned us to a room without the right number of beds, he moved a bed from another room to make things work for us. He also went beyond to provide us with many needed help as our kids were struggling with Altitude sickness. Great overall experience.

Superb stay !!!

As soon as we arrive from Juliaca to the door of the hotel , they were helping us with the bags and from there they make me feel like they were always 3seconds ahead of me in terms of service . Resuming my 16 days stay in Peru , Casa Andina Standard was the best of all for the price I paid !!!

Huge room and bed, very comfortable, warm, everything was new, excellent check-in/out, good breakfast from 5:30, so you can get it before the early morning tours. Just 350 meters from the train station, no need to deal with taxis. Very good Wi-Fi.

A decent and convenient place to stay in Puno

We visited Puno so we can go for a day trip to Lake Titikaka. Staying in Casa Andina Standard was convenient for the pick-up and drop-off by the tourist agency that took us for a day tour of the lake and its islands. Hotel was also very convenient to get to the restaurants, shops, and main plazas in Puno. The hotel, by itself, was OK. We had a room with 3 twin beds - very basic (had 3 beds, 3 night stands, one desk and one desk chair). It was clean and more spacious than most other rooms that had two double beds. We liked the fact that it had windows, overlooking the courtyard/school yard, that can open to let the fresh air in (some rooms had windows facing the interior hallway). Beds were comfortable and sheets were nice and crisp. Bathroom was good and clean. Sound isolation was poor (we could hear animals walking on the roof and we could also hear people using other bathrooms, not sure where). Breakfast was OK. Staff was very nice, helpful, and most spoke English. We stayed in the hotel Thursday and Friday night. Friday is a party night in Puno and we could hear music coming from neighboring disco clubs most of the night even with windows closed. Overall, the stay was OK and very convenient for Puno. I would consider staying in this hotel again if I was to visit lake Titikaka again.

Centrally located but quiet.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The people at the front desk spoke English and helped me with reservations and travel to the airport in Juliaca. Breakfast was okay, pretty standard fare, lovely young woman served coffee. I felt safe and well cared for. No problems.

Staff helped me to solved my problem quickly

The hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable. Close to the main square. During my first night stay, I was assigned to room 201, which faced the street. Across the street, there is a DICSO party place which is very noisy. We thought it is only one night issue. The next day, we came back from our trip, the party started again. We told hotel staff, they helped us to move to the first floor in 10 mins. The issue was resolved very quickly.

Good for a base camp to visit Lake Titicaca etc.

Good location near to centre of town and Plaza de Armas. A bit noisy a night though as the locals seem to emerge in the evening to socialize. The bed was rather short for anyone 6' plus. Heater in room was welcome as nights are cold. Oxygen available in the lobby. Front desk staff very helpful Ned spoke English. Don't opt for the 'buffet supper' as it is just soup! They did have the option to take a free taxi to the Casa Andina Private Collection (sister hotel) on Lake Titicaca, which had an excellent resturant and superior facilities.

Good location along a traffic-free street, about a 5 minute walk from the main plaza and close to multiple restaurants and shopping. Hot water is plentiful, but the shower dumps the water onto the floor (which could pretty much be said of any hotel shower in Peru). Internet is slow, but they offer a paid option that's supposed to be faster. The breakfast is standard, with convenient hours. Service is efficient and friendly. We'll be back.

This hotel is a decent place to stay, but the rooms were plain/utilitarian and the staff was only moderately helpful. The shower water smelled like lake water and the bath products were sub-par. Breakfast was very light. Of all the hotels we experienced on our trip to Peru, this was our least favorite. The positives were a central location and a cozy fireplace in the lobby.

This hotel is not a 5 star resort, but just as good! The rooms are clean and comfy. The staff is the best around. We felt well taken care of, better than their sister hotel Casa Andina Private. The pizza was amazing, and after hiking the Inca Trail we needed some good food and rest. I highly recommend staying here.

There were only two things I found unpleasing;

1- They were a small construction inside the hotel, which made it dusty and a bit noisy during the day.

2- I needed to stay an extra night but they did not honor the price I had with you so I paid their standard rate.

The staff was helpful and attentive to the rest of my travel needs, in that sence they have great customer service.

This hotel was a little out of the way from the main square but perfect for us because it is closer to the train station (5min walk) and we were taking the Ardean Explorer to Cusco.

The hotel itself was very pleasant after a long journey from Lima. Only difficulty we had was actually finding the hotel. Staff and accomodation very good. Next morning the manager arranged a flight to Nasca Lines,the reason for our visit. Would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Nice hotel close to main square

Hotel clean and comfortable, decor stuck in 70's. Is well-located close, 5 mins, to main squares, but the road quickly gets a bit dark and a bit shabby when you leave the main shopping/restaurant area. Was safe enough but would not want to walk there alone. Reception staff helpful and arranged only tour we did, 1/2 day trip to \" floating islands\", which was good value for money. Also helpful advising where to go for new suitcase as travel bag had given up ghost. Didn't feel up to doing much else due to altitude. Didn't suffer as badly as some report but blinding headaches so interspersed trips round town with lie downs with lots of coca tea which was supplied in good quantities in Reception. They also kindly offered oxygen which we didn't need to take up. Puno is lively with lots of good restaurants nearby. Was Halloween when we were there and they really go to town, main street absolutely jammed with kids and parents all dressed up. Overall nice hotel but can see is a \"chain hotel\" lacking a bit of the welcome we got from independently run hotels, for example all other hotels wrote to us before trip to arrange pick-ups from airports or bus station, but not Casa Andina.

the staff was the only thing that made the hotel worthwhile. they were wonderful, assisted with anything that i requested. on the down side - no elevator, so drug my luggage up three flights of stairs and very loud - could here everything that happended in the lobby.

Pleasant hotel with excellent buffet breakfast, just five minutes from the main drag in town and 1 km from the lake. Attentive staff, large rooms and some parking (free).
Free wifi in all rooms and tea and coffee available 24/7.

Only downside is that the rooms at the back only have internal windows over a communal room, PC area and stairwell. Noise from here travelled up in the morning as there is a stall below and people were talking from 6 am onwards.

That said, very much enjoyed our stay there. Good value for money given the chain of hotels it is in.

Casa Andina var mere end fantastisk, jeg havde det mest fantastiske værelse - og endda med varme - hvilket mange andre hoteller kan lære lidt af da der kan være ekstremt koldt om natten.

Te ofrece un desayuno básico, pero muy delicioso. Además, tiene bebidas calientes gratis cuando lo requieras, ya sea para calentarte o para sobrellevar la altura.
