Every year we stay at this property for the Half Marathon that is hosted in St. Cloud.

Our family loves the pool, the river facing rooms and the Green Mill restaurant that's attached.

The rooms are generous and the free parking was a plus.

We will be back next year.

The room was updated, but the bathroom was ridiculously small. We had a suite with king bed and 2 queens. I was disappointed I didn’t know there was no elevator access for the ground floor, made carrying our luggage a pain. But it was nice and quiet. The pool area was small for the size of the hotel, but clean and well kept.

The bathroom counter and sink were covered in shavings from a previous occupant and the mirrors looked like they had not been wiped down. The one by the coffee bar looked like something wet was thrown and it and just left that way. Our bathroom door also didn't latch closed.

The room was very clean and newly remodeled so it felt very comfortable. The bathroom itself seemed cramped compared to the generous amount of space in the rest of the room; it's impossible at this point to move walls so we understand. The pool area was full of a convention as well as workers remodeling rooms, so it wasn't the most comfortable of experiences, but I was able to relax anyway. We appreciate the late checkout on Monday morning, too, as Sunday night in St. Cloud for KVSC #TriviaWeekend at St. Cloud State is a big deal for us. All in all we're very pleased with the Kelly Inn and look forward to staying with you all again next February. (Additionally, a lot of Trivia teams have players that book rooms with you all to stay during the Contest. You may want to consider giving back to KVSC a little bit; they're struggling.)

Everything was great, he room, staff and pool area.
The only issue was the toilet handle was broken and we had to pull the chain to flush. I let the front desk know and they offered us a new room, but I told them, since we’re only staying the night we could live with it and they can repair it the next day.

Trouble checking me in using a different card and also a knock on the door around 8-9 thinking we were smoking in our room. But when in our room we smelled nothing so that was nice unlike other places I’ve stayed as it seeps through the vents. When I opened the door to speak to front desk Incas smell the heavy smell near by. Gross. I didn’t get to experience the pool area as hoped.

We stayed at the Kelly Inn this past Saturday and, unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing. We had two rooms reserved somehow when I only reserved one. but when we arrived, neither of them were ready. There was no communication or heads-up beforehand, which left us standing around in the lobby with two toddlers while we were trying to get settled for a birthday party. The staff didn’t seem concerned about the inconvenience or acknowledge how stressful that situation was.

The pool area was also extremely strong with chlorine—so strong that it was uncomfortable to stay in there for long. We’ve stayed at this hotel many times before and usually enjoy our visits, but it feels like the staff just doesn’t care about customers anymore. The lack of service and communication is really upsetting, especially since this has been a favorite spot for our family.

I genuinely hope management takes these concerns seriously, because we’d like to keep coming here—but it’s getting harder to justify when basic customer care seems to be slipping.

Was informed the day before our stay that the hot tub was down for maintenance and that the restaurant was closed for remodeling. To late at that point to change our reservation and those where the 2 amenities as to why we chose to stay there. Night staff was also not friendly when they told us we could not be out of our room after 10 in the pool area. On the web site it said adult pool time 10-midnight and when we ask she said we were wrong and needed to return to our room. As we and other guest had family they were with for the holiday and the offered no where else where we could gather. It was not a pleasant stay.

Check in clerk was rude and disheveled. The room had dirty walls and ceilings, and only one loudly functioning a/c unit. My “suite” had a 20” tv barely visible from The bed. The bar, restaurant, pool, and hotub are all closed. When I remarked that the hotels own website didn’t reflect any of these closures, the rude clerk said “well that a corporate run website” No apologies for inconvenience. Then we were told “there will be a lunch bag with a granola bar or a muffin or whatever on the counter in the morning. There is no breakfast”

The toilet was broken. The chain in the cistern wasn’t attached properly. The iron chord wouldn’t stay extended making it difficult and a bit dangerous to use. Also the bathroom could’ve been cleaner as there was hair in the floor. Staff are always friendly and rooms generally clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Went to check in online and it wouldn't load. Checked other webpages, they worked fine. So when I came inside to check in, no one was at the desk. I called out, and nothingness. Frustrated, I walked back out to the car and tried to check in again. It was slow and took me through the process, but it never gave an actual confirmation. I returned back inside, still no one at the desk, but I heard voices in the backroom. This time, When I called out someone came. He was polite and got me checked in pretty quick from when he first started helping. Its an older hotel, which is fine, but the room had an awful smell smack you in the face when you walked in. The room was small, but adequate in size. The last thing and the reason why I am giving such a low score is the fact that the cleaning staff walked into my room at 11:30AM and woke me up even though I had a late checkout. 1PM checkout. I was never able to get back to sleep. It might not seem like a big deal or just a little mistake, but if they have staff working here who don't even check the checkout times, imagine what else.they don't train for.

This hotel has a premium location, great staff, but is in need of a detail cleaning and room refresh. The rooms were outdated and overpriced for the condition they are in. Management needs to take a detailed walk through of each room, get them detail cleaned, and plan for some needed updates to these old rooms.
