It is obvious the Ownership is in the middle of a refresh, or at least it seems to be. However, the contractors who got the deal must be the low bidders. The painting detail is horrendous, it looks like it is being done by 2nd graders. Also the HVAC unit does not work correctly , any setting over 66 degrees is stifling hot. Why is there two remotes for the TV? Also, they locked us out of the room before we checked out! The mounting for the hairdryer on the wall is broken. When we checked it, the desk clerk said the pool and hot tub might get closed because of a pump leak, maybe, fortunately it never happened. The room lights are a joke and in need of repair.

Overall it was a great stay, with the pool open till midnight and waffles in the morning! But the hot tub was not hot and smelled a bit strange. The pool was very large and a nice temp. Everything was clean and it was a quick checkin. I used Expedia and found a good price compared to other hotels in St Cloud. Was surprised that 3 messages came from the property before my stay welcoming me and reminding me of the stay but it was nice to be contacted confirming.

The hot tub was cold & overflowing. The pool floor drains were completely clogged leaving huge puddles all over in pool area. Room had glass chipped tile next to tub that cut my sons foot when he got out & accidentally brushed it. One staff member was extremely rude & acted as if I was an inconvenience when I requesting bedding for the pull out couch bed that had nothing in the room for it. For $160 staying the weekend was very disappointing for spending over $320. We will not be staying here again.

The Bad:sink was plugged so hard to run the water, there was no shade, so when sun was up, you were up,rooms not very updated and dirty. The heat was very inconsistent, turned heat down to 62 at night and could not get it to stop kicking on, was too hot to sleep well. Paid 115 on a week night for king bed room.
The good:breakfast was pretty good, quiet hotel as it is small, bed was decently comfortable.

We stayed for two nights and weren't able to take a shower because our room had no hot water, and when we asked about it, we were offered to trade rooms, but the room offered smelt like someone had been doing some kind of drugs in it and had an air purifier on the ground. When we told them this, they said that there was nothing else they could do.

Travelled through huge snow storm on Dec 28th. Female night staff super friendly and easy check in. Morning man (not sure if owner) not friendly at all. On phone watching videos in the dining area even when I walked up to the desk. During check out was more concerned about where room key was and wouldn’t give receipt until he got key and asking more questions about night staff because they hadn’t charged for pet fee yet and didn’t have credit card. Like was trying to get her in trouble. Told him the night staff was great and compassionate after we travelled 14 hours in snow storm.l arriving after 9pm. Told him we didn’t want her getting into trouble for not taking payment for the pet that night and told him multiple times to just take our payment. By the end of it all (talking down to us) he ended up not charging for the pet. Won’t be recommending.

It started when we checked in, he could not find our reservation when I had it pulled up on my phone. He kept asking if I had the right day even after showing him my reservation email. He had my ID and still couldn’t figure out what name to type into the computer.

Finally found my reservation, we got into our room, not long after, the person behind us when we were checking in was coming into our room with a key. They had given keys to 2 different people at the exact same time for the same room.

We then left and came back later and the hallway smelled horribly of weed.

Their hot tub was also not working. With it being winter it would have been nice to have it working.

We will not be staying with them again.

Dirty. I didn't care but they have a pool you can not use. There was a hole in my bathtub, multiple holes in my walls. When i went to close the security handle over the door, it feel off the frame. Check in was laborious. The clerk did not seem familiar with all the screens/technology he was working with. English pronunciation made understanding him difficult. When I affirmed I had a pet it was time consuming to pay the charge and change to a different room.

Very friendly staff and when I let them know I could not do stairs they fairly quickly changed my room assignment to a ground floor level. Very large area to walk my dog and no other dog messes! My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. Overall, it was adequate but there were things that could have used improving.

PARKING: On arriving, there was road construction work preventing us from entrance to the parking lot and no indication of a detour

POOL: The Pool/Hot Tub were closed all week

ROOM SECURITY: Our room keys stopped working after the 1st night, then again on the 2nd night. The property replaced all room door-lock mechanisms; this new hardware prevented inside security latch from working

BREAKFAST: For the entire stay, the House Blend breakfast coffee was THE WORST I have ever tasted. (The room coffee packets were better tasting!) Not enough staff watching when things run out; had to alert staff myself then wait as new coffee was brewed (no backups waiting)

ROOM CLEANING: Claim of room cleaning every 2 days for extended stays is wrong; apparently, that was suspended due to COVID. If you want the room cleaned, you have to tell them.

Front Desk person rude.Gave impression did’nt want anything to do with checking me in. Whistled at his relief person several times. Unprofessional! Reserved a handicapped room gave me a non handicapped room 2nd level. When I showed him my reservation said handicapped crabblily gave me a room downstairs. Not handicapped. When I returned to the front desk to point this out he handed me to the woman who he whistled at. She was much nicer and finally got me a handicapped room I reserved. I use to work at a hotel front desk and this was clearly the worst experience I ever had.

This is a very basic motel. It was mediocre in terms of cleanliness and overall ambience. The front desk woman was very nice. The refrigerator had an high-pitched squealing noise so we had to unplug it and then all of the bedside lamps and outlets stopped working while we were there.
The alternate entrance door had to be pulled tight to close and lock. Highway noise is notable.

Stayed there for three nights on a business trip. Hard to get to as the roads were closed off.
When I checked into my non-smoking room it reeked of cigarettes. Called front desk to tell them so they wouldn’t charge me for the smell and they came up and sprayed deodorizer. Night desk person was nice.
Carpet was in bad shape. The hot tub in the room has cigarette burn marks on the side of it. (I was too afraid to use that.)
The second night gave me two individuals yelling and arguing with each other just below my window until around 11:30 pm. They kept hitting their lock on their key fob making their car honk over and over again.
The front desk day guy could barely speak English and I had a very hard time trying to tell him about the incidents with the smoking smell and the people yelling the night before.
I’ll probably find another place to stay next time I’m in town.

Booked for moving child into college for Freshman year. Double checked on pool and hot tub before booking. Went to check in and sign says neither were in service. I also have an autistic child so pool was needed. Front desk did not even try to explain, just processed the payments and handed keys over. When I asked how long the pool area had been out of service I was told 4 weeks. I had booked within that 4 weeks and nobody said a word. Checked the website the day we were checking in and it still showed pool and hot tub operational. Manager not on duty at check in time of 3pm. Will never go back and have tarnished the entire name for me.

Our stay was just ok. We were looking for a clean place to sleep with a pool and breakfast. Upon check in we were told the pool was closed for a few days. This was a bummer. The parking and outside appearance of the AmericaInn was good. The motel facilities were out-of-date, the staff was minimal, the service was poor. The room had many problems: outlets did not work, window could not be opened (sign that said window would fall out), towels were ragged. One young lady did all the work (desk, room cleaning, breakfast service), the manager did nothing to assist. Your service would not let me cancel.

Was a cheap place, the phone wouldn't charge in the lamp provided,couldn't turn lamp off near bed, had to turn actual switch at the door for that to be off. Fringe was down so low milk spolied pop never got cold. Complained and the guy came to room and said it's cool and i said no it's not and we even lost our milk and he pulled the Fringe out and turned it up. It was not even half way up. Cheap cheap cheap. Phone didn't work to call them either. All plugged in and completely dead. Beds were rock hard. The neighborhood atound it was shady. Dirty. And just not a great area. At 228.00 a night without taxes. It's a nope never again for us.

Pool was not available. Arrived early and understandably the room was not ready, told to come
back in one hour and it would be ready. Came back over two hours later at 330pm (check in is at 3) and the room was still not ready. After only a 10 min wait they moved us to a different room that was ready. It was surface clean, a place to lay our heads for the night. The breakfast in the morning was carb heavy, no fruit, lots of bread, bagels, waffles, cereal, granola bars, Rice Krispie treats even. The waffles were good. Overall it was a place to sleep for the night at a value price, you get what you pay for but wish the pool was open! Staff was nice and kind, offered to cancel reservation but we decided to just stay and rest our heads for one night.

Terrible. We chose this hotel as it had a pool. We paid more for this reason. We get there and there is a piece of paper on the front desk saying \"pool closed\". Apparently it's been closed for a year.

We were given keys to a room that was already occupied. Front desk told us they have no way of knowing which room is empty

We were then given keys to a 2nd where the door didn't lock. Not very safe considering they don't know if a room is occupied.

The only thing they could do was cancel our reservation. We agreed and went to the Travelodge down the street. It's been a week and they've not refunded me yet. Having to argue my case with Expedia customer service now.

This is a very rundown and outdated hotel. Staff was very hard to get ahold of and rarely at the front desk. Entire hotel was extremely dirty. Rooms didn’t appear to be cleaned well, if at all. Convenient location just off the interstate. Staff was not accomodating when trying to adjust my reservation well before the deadline. Pool has been closed and no notice of this when booking or on website. Staff was rarely if ever at the counter and acted very put off when they did come to the counter to assist customers. Letting out a big sigh, eye rolling, walking away after waiting on the first customer of 2-3, or even sitting in the front room and watching TV and making no attempt to get up and assist them. Coffee and eggs were cold in the morning. Waffle mix dispenser did not work and no attempt to provide an alternative over our four day stay. No fruit. Writing all over the wall in room. There was a big event this weekend, so we could not rebook elsewhere.

Worst hotel experience I have ever had. Terrible customer service. Property was dirty, not kept up well and the most unfriendly and rude staff I have ever seen. PLEASE stay some place else. Would NEVER recommend here. Multiple families I was with had the same experience.

Hotel is being renovated and staff are doing so in a way that did not have an effect on our stay. Pool was closed so we were a little bummed. We slept comfortably and enjoyed our stay.
