Everything was fine, it’s a very nice hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast and the bar are great.
If you plan to go there by car you don’t have to worry about the ZTL (just be careful with your navigation system) because they are outside of it. The parking system also works perfectly. They parked it after the check-in and brought it back at the check-out.
We would definitely come back!

The hotel is in a good location for the metro, but the hotel itself was disappointing. The air con in our room didn't work, the amenities weren't replenished daily and the room itself wasn't very clean. There were ants in the room and both my husband and I were bitten by bugs each night.

We only stayed here for a couple nights, but we loved it! It’s outside of the chaotic hustle and bustle of downtown but with plenty of walkable amenities and restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Definitely would recommend staying here if you’re in Milan!

We left our bags with Mercure upon check out (including a backpack with a drink bottle, headphones, kindle and other electronics). We went out for breakfast and came back about 2 hours later. The backpack was socking wet as the bottle had been smashed and all our electronics drenched in water. We showed the reception staff to ask what happened who SHRUGGED and walked away.

We stood in front of reception trying to salvage what we could out of our electronics. In the meantime, the 3 reception staff didn’t say a word to us, or offer us any sort of help.

I've stayed 3 times here on this trip, each time worse than the before.
The air conditioning does not work properly, you can barely feel it.
The sink splashes everywhere and the sink drainage does not work properly.
The shower head is disgusting! And the safe broke down with no repairment for 2 nights. The wifi is soo slow
And they watered-down our body soap so i had to step out of the shower for the hand soap and use it while freezing cold since u cant get the soaps out the wall

Great stay. The staff was very friendly. The check in and check out was very smooth. I was nervous about the valet parking after reading some of the reviews however there was no problem at all. The room was nice and clean, it had a hair dryer, fridge with free bottles of water.

Grubby room, needs overhaul

Not a good hotel! Staff were very unfriendly and rude for the most part (except the very nice guy at check-in). When I arrived, I checked in and found that my room had not been cleaned after the previous occupant. Eventually, I was given another room for the night but was told I would have to check-out by 10am to be moved to the correct room - unfortunately, at 10am this room was still not ready. I only had to wait 10 minutes for it to be cleaned but this is also a bit concerning aa it should take more than 10 minutes to properly clean a room. The room itself is fine but the air con did not work very well, there were ants on the floor and it clearly needs a good deep clean and refresh. Check-out was fine but I later realised I had left my (very expensive) engagement ring in the room - I returned to the hotel to collect it, initially I was not allowed back into the room to check for it even though I was told it had not been cleaned. I was only allowed to look in the room once the maid service had arrived - it was not there but once I was in the room, the bed had been stripped and the water bottle replaced - clearly someone had been in the room. My ring was nowhere to be found. I now have to make a police report. Overall, not a pleasant stay at all - would steer clear of this one.

Overall our stay was good. The only issues in the room (we did not bring this up as personally we were not bothered, but others may be) were mainly that the maintenance seemed to be lacking, cleanliness was not an issue though. In our bathroom, we had a door with a broken lock so we had to leave it unlocked at all times, the shower door was damaged and didn’t fully shut meaning the floor was always considerably wet after shower usage, a floor tile was damaged in the middle of the shower causing the floor to be slightly unstable and the soap dispenser had been broken off the wall and then rested up against the hand rail instead of being attached back to the wall. We also had no working light on one side of the bed. On a more positive note, the hotel was in a good location within walking distance of the centre for most people, the bed was very comfortable and we had a nice balcony with an unexpected nice view over the courtyard. We only stayed for 2 nights so the issues mentioned above were not affecting us too much and didn’t impact the stay to the extent that we felt like we needed to change rooms, it would’ve just been nice for the hotel to be on top of the general maintenance a bit more, seeing as 5 different things were unsatisfactory in a small room. The cost of the stay was quite high when you factor in that we had a few damaged things in the room.

Comfortable and clean hotel with reasonable access to the main sights of Milan via the metrol & tram systems.
Reception team were very friendly and helpful.
Only negatives are fairly trivial, the location of the hotel was in a slightly run down area (though we found out that a lot of investment was being made to improve this) and the hotel bar was a disappointment - it was laid out like a factory canteen when comfortable chairs and a more relaxing environment would have been preferable after a long day of sightseeing.

I was unsure of where to book for our first trip to Milan and this location was the best. It was far enough out of the city centre to be quiet but only a 10 or 15 minute walk to be right in the thick of it. But you are really starting to see beautiful things just. few minutes in. The tram and subway are literally 2 min walk away and everything was neat and tidy. Staff are lovely and unless you are looking for ultra modern aesthetics, you can't really knock this. Was affordable for high peak period in comparison to many others around.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Room was nice, a bit noisy since it was above the entrance to the hotel and could hear the sliding doors open and close.
The A/C blew faintly not cooling down the room so had to sleep in a very warm room and The TV to the room did not work either.
The minibar in room stated complementary water, after taking 1 bottle we were charged for the water.
Parking was €26 for valet and breakfast was also €26.

The hotel was clean and the room was really nice. The front desk staff when I arrived bent over backwards to help me. They were truly top notch. I did have an issue with the maid service. The maid just barged into my room without even knocking. I heard her speaking to her supervisor outside my door telling the supervisor I was in the room. The supervisor then decided she should just walk in also. I understand making a mistake but the supervisor should be fired for intentionally invading my privacy.

Liked layout of reception/restaurant/bar areas. Liked small balcony in room.
Staff were all friendly, helpful and polite.
Didn’t like having to get suitcases past many tightly-packed cars on entrance drive.
Didn’t like the hammering and sawing work that started at 8:15am somewhere below us in the hotel. Went on for at least a couple of hours on first morning (when we were most tired after travelling there). Informed lady on reception who said she didn’t know about it but would “make a note of it”!

It was a great stay, I wanted to come book again after two weeks, but there were no rooms available! The location was recommended by a colleague, great places to dine arount. I loved the small touches at the hotel – the rack to put the suitcase on, the lit wardrobe, a good quality hair drier and a wooden floor in the shower cabin.

Nice hotel, close to San Agostino green line Metro which gets you into the centre within a few stops. The tram stop is opposite the hotel. Line 14 takes you into the centre. If you take this tram you’ll go along a Main Street with supermarkets, clothes shops, cafes etc all of which are within easy walking distance from the hotel.
My room was small but very clean, modern, comfortable and quiet.

I had the lovely continental breakfast (€7). Breads, toast, jams, fruits, filled croissants, plain and sweet pastries, beautiful freshly baked cakes. Fresh juices, teas, coffee, chilled water. Good value.

If you get a 1 day (€4) or 2 day (€8.50) travel ticket (from metro station ticket machines)
you can use it on the metro, tram and bus. Brilliant value and an easy way to get around.

Overall I had a great stay in Milan and recommend this hotel. The reception staff were extremely helpful with maps and advice as well as being friendly and welcoming.

We were very disappointed in that we had to stay in an adjoining apartment building....not in the hotel itself, even though we had made reservations months in advance. Our travel mates were given a hotel room but we were not, even though it was the same reservation. The apartment building was dirty and smelled of cat liter, the elevator went out, we had to to exit the building to the exterior to enter the hotel. Plus the had no accommodation to allow the use of our 110v appliances...no adapters that all our other hotels commonly provided...as if they seldom entertained US travelers.

A gem of a hotel with helpful staff. I will stay here again if I'm ever in Milan again. The only small thing I would like bring to your attention is the television and difficulty I had with changing channels - it was delayed and the tv would just go to a blank screen. Very strange - seemed as though the software was delaying and confusing tv. The screen display would show \"downloading\" when the tv turned back on.

Small irritants, from the cramped and weirdly configured room, the malfunctioning air conditioning (1 night of 4), and the incessant beeping of the elevator across the hall, could be overlooked for a hotel in this class. But when a guest accidentally leaves items in a room, a good hotel does not encourage housekeeping to help themselves to the booty.

Hotel location is ok. But the facilities are very basic. My room is very small, I think I booked a double room for single use, however, seems the hotel just gave me a single room. That's ok, I dont really mind. The room is small, so once you open your luggage, then no other space for you to walk.

Safe box is not working, I called twice and I even went to the reception for help, they told me the guy can only come at 2 pm.means i have to wait till 2pm. That's ridiculous to me.

One lamp is not working. The bathroom, after shower, the whole bathroom is flooded..The male manger is very nice, he came and wipe the floor himself. But, I think they should fix it, otherwise, everytime, the guest has to call the reception to dry the floor after shower.

last night I stay there, it was heavy rain, I was stuck in the metro station nearby, maybe 5 mins walking distance. So I called the reception and asked if they can come and pick me up. However, I waited so long, no body came, I have to walk into the heavny rain. When I back to hotel, they told me they don't have an umbrella in the hotel. Excuse me?? I think this is a basic requirement for a hotel right? and this is a so called \"4 star\" hotel. Very disappointed, to be honest.

So I won't really recommend to stay there

The hotel is quite new and in good condition. Our room was pretty cramped, although clean. The hotel's immediate neighborhood is dull (but quiet); luckily the Navigli are within walking distance, and a tram stop almost in front of the hotel can be used to go to the Duomo. Parking in the area is challenging, you can expect to pay about 30 euros/day to leave the car in a nearby private garage - in this case you may also need to leave the car keys to the garage staff.

It's close to the Metro and the big shopping area Dumont (over rated). we just lucky to be coming here in July for the Expo Milano 2015. I think Milan in general is overrated. the hotel provided a good location to go anywhere in Milan. Even to train station in el Central. It has pretty thick walls so we did not hear anything or anyone. the bathroom and bed were good enough for the price. comes we a safe, which we used daily. has no view but whatever. I would stay here again..if I ever come back to a Milano (properly never).

The hotel staff was unbelievably friendly and really will cater to your every need. I wish the room was a little bigger but I did get the smallest room possible.

New hotel, friendly staff

Milano itself is not so easy to move around so location wise the hotel is difficult to find even with a map. It's only a short walk from the san agustino metro station but you have to walk through narrow alleys and crazy intersections.

Very good quality hotel in good location!

Very good hotel, easily accessible location just opposite the No.14 tram stop (via Solari) and a couple of blocks away from the Metro station. Hotel very clean, beds comfy, air conditioning, BBC news channel, free wifi in room, nice bar area for drinks in the evening, good location to visit central Milan area (14 tram goes straight to Duomo). Would highly recommend.

Very good hotel

The room was very nice, quiet, clean, everything necessary was in it. The only problem we had was with parking - it was a bit confusing as to where to park the car when you first get in. Other than that it was very good!
