The front desk staff was very helpful! Javier in particular got us where we wanted to be by looking up bus schedules and even printed them off for us. Cleaning staff always greeted us a a smile and hello.

The staff were amaizing in the reception Andrea helped us reserve our bag and check out which was seemless. The dinner stuff :santia i not sure of spelling and Andriu were so helpful and friendly .The staff in the breakfast buffet were ok though we were asked for our room number twice ( the first time at the door which is natural and the 2nd time whilst getting our food.The room and corrindors were charcoal with no light so a bit depressing.The bathroom had a brezze come through a small gap and the fitting of the shower look like a caravan with a plastic base.Overall all the bathroom needs an uplift.The breakfast was so poor I should have followed my instinct not to go .We addeded last min at the hotel and regret .The tongs were so small they were held by many as they should and too small that the handle was placed on the food so when one picked them , the handle part they touched the food.The choice was limited and the hot food was cold for three days ( the veg and something labelled bacon but looked like sausage however the other day on one day labelled ssusage) The pastries and fruit did not look apertizing .The only thing I enjoyed was the statndard bread and butter with herbal tea.I chose the hotel cause the general reviews were 8.2 but was so dissapointed cause the rating are misleading .I will never trust ratings again.There were comments relating to my experience which I ignored so my lesson is to check for a theme in reviews.Location is great thats all.

As I was being dropped off at the hotel at 12 noon with luggage, I sent a message to the hotel the day before, asking if I could leave it with them, then come back to check-in at 3 pm. I received a reply the following day AFTER I'd actually checked in: I really didn't expect it would take them so long to respond. On arrival at the hotel around 12.15, I was met by the backs of 3 monitors spaced along the reception desk, with the tops of 3 receptionists' heads above. When I heard one of them speak, I had to presume they were addressing me. (If the monitors were at an angle, at least I could see faces). The receptionist I spoke to wasn't particularly welcoming and just photocopied my passport. I was told where to take my luggage: an office to the side of reception which had furniture, and many pieces of luggage stored randomly. There was no lock on the door and nobody monitored access. I was told to return at 3 pm to check-in, but when I did so, a room wasn't available and had to wait until nearly 3.30 pm. Being told \"housekeeping is busy\" just made me feel like a nuisance. When I retrieved my luggage, nobody checked the legitimacy of my being in the \"office\", so the security there was nil. For the record, when I checked out, the receptionist I spoke to was very helpful and took me to a locked room to leave my luggage for a few hours, and given a receipt. I cannot believe the difference between the Saturday and the Monday reception staff! No space left to comment on my room :-(

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great! But what really got me was the kind gentleman who checked us in. I asked for a couple of extra coffee pods for the morning and he showed up to our room a little bit later with a bunch of them. Just really great service, with a friendly attitude. The woman checking us in for breakfast was the same -- very personable and very helpful!!
So the hotel was good -- the staff was excellent.

It was a little bumpy to start because ac does not operate the way we used to. We stay two nights with them and their staff was friendly. The lady checked us in even come up to help with our ac. Our room has a nice mattresses and has a nice ocean view. We moved to another ac hotel near cruise terminal last night and we regretted about it. The ac near the terminal has very old mattress. It has the worst mattress that we have ever seen with marriot. The ac hotel near cruise terminal has a motel 6 quality of the mattress. If we knew, we would choose to stay at this ac hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff and the food. The property is a lovely art deco style building that needs some updating but the rooms are spacious and the views of the port are great.

The third time we have stayed here, the buffet breakfast is great with a nice selection and the food in the bar is great too.

Staff are always so friendly and accommodating.

Close to bus connections, easy walk to Triana where there is a great selection of shops and restaurants.

Kids love the pool on the roof terrace although it was a bit windy during our stay so we didn’t spend too much time there.

Me and my friend visited for 3 nights, the staff were lovely however the room it’s self was not the best. Overall it was ok to stay in but the floors were extremely dirty making me feel unclean to stay there. The shower would leak everytime and go into the bedroom and crest a safety hazard as there was puddles of water and would rot the bottle of the door making it hard to open and close. The cleaners would come up and clean it everynight for us as it was lifting up the floorboards. I did comment everyday to reception about how dirty the hotel room floors were and nothing was done about it.

This hotel is very conveniently positioned for the central business and shopping area of Las Palmas and is just a short walk from the old town and cathedral.

The staff are very welcoming and the lobby has a very open and modern feel.

The breakfast buffet is good, with a wide selection of food on offer and eggs cooked to order. It was regularly replenished so there was never a shortage of choice whether you dine early or late.

The food in the new lobby bar is good. We liked the main courses, but avoid the 'sharing sardines' as they are literally a tin of sardines and a packet of crisps you could buy in the local shops for €2.

The hotel is clearly needing to be refreshed. The coerridors feel very dark and sombre. The paint in the rooms is showing wear, although the furnishings are good and the bed is comfortable. The wood flooring has not worn well - in our bathroom the boards had bent so the door only opened outwards.

There is a rooftop pool, but this is not heated. You need to take care around it as much of the decking is bent and there are numerous loose screws.

Overall this felt like a quality hotel that needs money spent to bring it back to a good 4* standard. However, the staff were great and this, coupled with the location, means I would consider staying there again.

Could do with a bit of TLC. Lovely staff - really professional. Nice place, well kept and very clean. Was easy enough to park but that might be a real challenge in summer. Down sides were the lift waits (there are three small and slow, old-fashioned lifts; they'd really benefit from replacing with two larger modern speed lifts) and the gym really needs attention. The breakfast was fine - a couple of things you'd normally expect to see were missing but it was decent value with several coffee options. The breakfast room is not for those who dislike noise though. Was really impressed by the rooms on the whole - the sea view, while you're looking at a commercial shipping operation - is still impressive.

Property is located in the northern part of the island. With a rental car, this becomes very convenient to experience the local flavour that is available in and around the hotel as well as access the more touristy southern parts.
Excellent veg options for breakfast, and a friendly staff made our stay very pleasant.
We traveled as a family of 4 with two kids.

Check in disappointing - not allowed to check in early while others could I was told it was because I paid a cheap price booking late so they would only allow checkin at 3pm. They did take my baggage to store. I think clients should be treated the same no matter how much is being paid. Hotel is a great location for bus station and city centre 800 meter walk. Room would th balcony lovely. Great bedding no food available in the hotel at night. No signage from main road so hard to find

The staff were excellent and very helpful. The rooms need refurbishing and bringing up to a good standard. Only 2 out of 3 lifts working, and you had to wait awhile for the lift. Pool on roof very small and only a few sunbeds. Always taken early. The beach is a good 30 minute walk.

Had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel, overall it’s very nice and super friendly staff the only bad thing is you can see it’s not the newest because some of the floor was damaged, the chair that was in the room already had some little damage and the shower was clogged but the next day someone came and fixed the shower so that was very nice. Good quality hotel and the staff were friendly and efficient. It's easy to drive to and only ten minutes walk from the old town. Excellent breakfast buffet except, and this is the reason for my poor sustainability/ environmental rating, they have Nespresso machines that generate hundreds of waste pods every day. Bean to cup machines would be so much better. Our room was directly under the Gym so if you particularly want a quiet room don't be on the tenth floor.

We, a family of 4, thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Las Palmas visiting family. Thank you.

We had a juniour suite which comprised of 1 bedroom and a lounge (with sofa bed and an extra single). We also had a view of the dock and a balcony which was a lovely surprise on arrival.

The staff were all so kind and helpful and really made our stay. We were also very impressed with the food. The breakfast buffet had a great range of options, wide selection of nice breads for toasting and mini pastries, as well as hot and other cold options.
We ate in the bar the first night and it was outstanding we returned again on our final night.

The kids loved the rooftop pool, the only drawback was that it didn't open until 11am.

Bad Experience!!

Travelled from the south of the island for a night as I had a very important meeting early in the morning, the check in was slow but the receptionist ( guy) was great, the other receptionist ( woman) said that my booking was only for one person !!
I showed the reservation and also she said that no balcony, it was quite a bad experience, I had to wait for 30 minutes to access the room
Then in the evening it was really hot and I decided to put the air con on and it wasn’t working also the room was full of mosquitos ( killed about 15) I called reception at 1.00 am as couldn’t sleep to ask for a fan and they told me they don’t have any ! I mentioned that the air con was faulty and they said yes the air con it’s not working for some time now! I did not get any notice of that when I checked in or when made the reservation, otherwise I would of book another hotel!
They told me I could borrow a spray ( mosquito) for only few minutes as other rooms may need it them.
I could not sleep that night and the next day when I complain no apologies or explanation.
Definitely not going back there!

We stayed here for a week recently, and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed - it was also serviced daily.

The breakfast was good, but there was little variety, so you had the same offerings every day. Now, I do understand that with the current Covid situation, the hotel was limited in what they could provide, they still did an outstanding job and their system for everyone to have their own 'tongs' works very well (except for scrambled eggs).

Despite the pool being emptied, we were able to sunbathe on the rooftop for the first two days. After that the whole area was closed off for use which was rather disappointing.

The hotel is next to a very busy motorway, but we were not disturbed by any traffic noise. It is close to many shops and restaurants and is within walking distance to Old Town. There is a lovely park between the hotel and Old Town, which has a cafe serving drinks, and a few food carts which serve rather delicious food. There is also a big playground for children and even a dog park.

We had misjudged the location, and had to get a taxi daily to the beach area Playa de Las Canteras. The fare is €6 each way, so it's not too bad, but if you want a beach holiday, you may want to consider booking a hotel closer to the beach. There are taxis available directly outside the hotel.

I would definitely recommend AC Hotel Iberia Las Palmas, and their standards during this pandemic is exceptionally high.

We only stayed overnight at the hotel, arriving late & leaving early. The main reason we chose this hotel was because it offered free airport shuttle service. We didn't eat at the hotel as we found it too expensive. We walked to a little cafe for breakfast about two blocks from the hotel. The room was comfortable & had everything we needed & more! It's located downtown, right on the water with a nice view of the harbor & ships.

Very average hotel spoilt by its location.

Hotel is OK but in business area. Cleaning staff confused as to whether the room was serviced for 1 or 2 persons. Very few restaurants in locality , mostly Chinese and cafes catering for lunch time trade. Evenings surrounding area is dead. Need to get taxi into town. Hotel breakfast buffet area is cold. Breakfast nothing special. The main gripe is that you have to pay 10 Euros per day to park in the hotel car park and that is not advertised in the booking forms. We stayed 5 nights .I had no option as I was competing in an event with heavy equipment to carry to car every day.

We were booked into a room that already had guests in, we had to go back to reception to have that changes, almost walked in on a man in the shower,

The restaurant closed far too early, and room services was his TV cold snacks, if you are unlucky to rely on the hotel for dinner, you will be very hungry.

Breakfast also was very poor.

Considering the price I paid, and comparing with other options of accommodation in Las Palmas, I don't think it was a smart choice. My original room had a smell (even though the hotel says it is \"smoke free\") and a problem with the flush. They moved me to another room, but clearly it was not at the same standard, so I ended up paying more for lower quality accommodation. I ended up staying there because (i) I had already paid for my room and (ii) I didn't want to change rooms a second time for a two-night stay. The staff was generally helpful but not particularly friendly. The room was mostly clean but not as you would expect when you pay USD 100 a night (there was hair on the bathroom sink when I moved to the second room and toothpaste splash on the walls). I called the hotel before getting to Las Palmas and I asked about the distance from the closest bus stop and they said it would be a 5 minutes but it was more like 10, not very practical if you have a lot of luggage. So this was not my worst time in a hotel, but if I come back to Las Palmas I will most certainly not stay there again.

Very pleased with the location, first night the receptionist was a bit elsewhere , she even was surprised that we needed a room keycard! Anyway since that check in experience was none existent then the first night we walked in completely the wrong direction and ended up getting \"food\" from the super market. All was well in the light of day and the hotel location was ace to get to the old town area of Las Plamas. Furthermore the experience in reception went up 100 times with the right member of staff. So hotel is in a good location, very clean, very friendly, we did not eat in the hotel as breakfast was not included and to be honest a breakfast over €12 per person is rather high, I would recommend taking it in the town at least you can get some fresh air and save some money. I would stay at this hotel again without a doubt.

Brilliant business style hotel in Las Palmas

An excellent hotel that is business oriented in style and layout (hard to find in Gran Canaria) but terrific for kids too. Would not be out of place, interior wise, in Manhattan or London. Cool design. They didn't charge breakfast for our 4 year old.

It's a nice hotel if you're travelling for business purposes. Beach is far although the rooms have nice views overlooking the ocean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, toast, fruits, cereal, juices, the usual. Not many options for lunch and dinner especially for vegetarians!

on arriving i was given 2 single beds when i had requested a king size had to call reception twice as they did not get back to me, i was given a king size but was told that i was lucky to get one as there not guaranteed even tough i had put this requirement in my booking. The room was dark and dull and the brown walls hid the marks that we not cleaned of very well,there was large chunks taken out of the wall and the bathroom door was hard to shut.There was not kettle or water provided in the room only an overpriced mini bar and a tv with only 1 English channel.As for the buffet breakfast we ventured in to there on last day as is was not included but we was willing to pay the 12.95 euros there was not staff to see to us so we had a look at the food on offer and it was grim what looked like month old bacon and scrambled egg was the only hot food on offer so we made a fast exit.Long and short no i do not recommend this hotel and would not wish to stay there again

Hotel has a good pool on roof with about 16 sunbeds. Nice bar and restaurant.a 10 minute walk to the main shops and restaurants in town.also bus station 10 mins away.take the number 12 bus to beach . which is again 10mins away but very nice beach las canteras recommend .

I thought this was a lovely hotel! With the minor exception that the floor was in bad condition in my room and the elevators were rickety, everything else was perfect. The TV was nice, the bed was soft and comfy, and the shower was awesome. I enjoyed my stay a lot!

We were staying in a room facing the back of the hotel. As soon as we entered the room there was a nasty smell emanating from the bathroom, the wallpaper was full of stains and looked tatty, it was peeling off the wall in several places and there was mould underneath. There was not shelves to place shower gel/shampoo bottles whilst showering, as a consequence one had to keep bending to place it on the floor and pick it up when needed during the process of having a shower. Due to condensation on glass door, a puddle would form by the entrance door to the bathroom, so it had to be wiped to avoid accidents.
On arrival reading light and safe out of order.On the fourth morning of our stay, whilst having a shower the water supply was cut off.

Would have expected the staff to speak a bit more English at an international hotel. Also had a junior suite which didn't include all the facilities as per the website when we first arrived. Had to chase everything with Reception and with the maid. Was eventually sorted but hard going due to the language barrier. Hotel not close to a beach but is near a nice shopping district and the old town of Vaguetta which was lovely.

Great hotel but not good food

Great hotel with goo facilities. The roof top pool was great. The reaturant / food was not very good. Slow service with very bland food. Would recommend the hotel but not the reaturant.

Convenient location for Old Town Business hotel

Hotel is very convenient for the main shopping street, bus station and the Old Town... it seemed to be full of business people - the staff are ok but don't really seem geared to tourists...though one young man at the desk was very helpful.. the place didn't have a terribly friendly vibe and the decor of brown, brown and more brown is frankly depressing. The corridors are darkly lit and not very inviting. The room was very clean, the bathroom very good and the bed comfortable - but the lighting was dim so it wasn't easy to read in the bedroom unless actually in bed. The curtains blocked out the light well - but the light shone through the bathroom window in the mornings as there is nothing to block that (as there is a glass door into the room!) - so if you are light sensitive you may be woken. So good location and they did put me at the top of the building as asked - the main road would have been noisy otherwise.

A quieter place to stay.

We liked the hotel, but it is more of a working people's hotel, hosting conferences and business meetings which suited us well as it meant it was quiet at night. Rooms are a good size and beds are extremely comfortable, but the pillows were not substantial enough. Breakfasts were great with a good selection of fruit, breads, cooked meats and cheeses, pastries. The only cooked items were scrambled eggs, which were excellent, and bacon.
Pool was freezing, but sunbeds were comfortable and pool towels provided. Gym looked very good and there are a variety of classes available Monday- Friday.
Location: For us it was ideal as it is only a 10 minute walk to the Old Town and 10 minutes to a good shopping area. there is a good variety of bars and restaurants in both areas and prices were very reasonable to cheap depending on where you ate. It is also only 5 minutes from the bus station which makes it easy to go to other places on the island. The city centre is a pleasant stroll along the promenade which takes about 1 hour including pausing to look at the marina. If that's too far to walk you can get a local bus which takes about 20 minutes or a taxi which costs just under 6 euros. there is a lovely beach in the city centre and lots of good bars and restaurants. It's excellent for shopping too.
Staff: Staff were always pleasant and helpful when you approached them. Tourist information can be learned from the folders provided by travel companies that use the hotel.

Clean, smart and well located.

A long weekend stay with friends to run the GC marathon. Great hotel, very clean and the staff are very helpful. an excellent rooftop pool (which was freezing, but understandable in January!). Shame there were no refreshments available near the pool which was the only downside to our stay. A great location, 10 min walk from the old town, but a 10 min taxi drive to the beaches.

Modern and comfortable hotel in a residential area. Lobby is nice and clean. Restaurant had good food and convenient hours. The room, while comfortable, could use some maintenance. The laminate floors were peeling, there were large gouges in the walls, and the bathroom had a strong mold/mildew smell. Overall, a good hotel for a quick stop on GC.

The sound insulation is terrible as I could hear the guest who stayed in next room coughed all morning.
The facilities in the room is too basic being a 4 stars hotel as I think either a kettle or a coffee maker is a must.

Pleasant hotel

Stayed at the AC Iberia for a week, the hotel is pleasant and clean.Location is between the old and new town so approx 5 min walk to the old and 15 min walk to the new town.
Rooms are kept clean but you can hear everything going on in the hotel from your room.Wi fi is not included which is a pity and it is not a holiday hotel more a business hotel.All in all nice for couples but don't take children.

A reasonably good hotel, but the pool has very few loungers which in reality make it a poor stay if you are thinking of staying by the pool for any time - as the upright chairs are not comfortable.

Great Stay!

Stayed a week on B & B basis and saw a lot of the old town which was very interesting. Also ate there in the evening. Local food was great and we also checked out 'Sakura' (Japanese/Chinese) Lots of bars/restaurants. Don't miss the Canarian Potatoes. Traveled south a couple of times for a little more sun and north to take a peek at some other towns on the (great value, regular and on-time)local buses from the bus station which was only 5 minutes walk away.

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful reception staff. Free airport shuttle useful for saving a few euros on taxis, buffet breakfast good, rooms clean and well fitted out. Close to the shops, restaurants, and bars of old town, and only a 5-6 euro taxi to the beach. Reasonable amount of cheap/free parking nearby.

Nice hotel but not for tourists more for business

Everything was nice ish, near town/ high street lots cute resturants etc. Not near the beach really. Sea view means you looking at the port/2 oil rigs and ships coming in & out. Breakfast was not 4 star more 2 or 3. Dinner was much improved very lovely and staff are sweet. Room service has like maybe ... 10 options there all crap. Receptionist was well im not if it was us cause we speak English and they couldn't understand some of words or them just being not very helpful. Generally staff look miserable apart from the cleaning lady's and the one lady who served us in the restaurant. If you have a rental car you can get space for your car during the day but at night it's packed and you will have to use outside parking cause car park is small. Be careful night is free but day is not so wake up early to move your car or €25 ticket. Mini bar is not free even though their leaflet says it is. Overall it's a very bland hotel even though it's a 4 star feels more like 3 not what I paid for. I went in the winter time and at breakfast they were rushed off their feet so who knows what happens in the summer. And don't get me started on the gym, a 4 by8 room, couple off different machines and a mirror does not count a gym

Very clean business hotel

This is a very nice, clean hotel just like a 4 star Marriott in england. Bonus points are tv with bbc news etc but bad points are location is too far out for typical Spanish holiday. Very much like a business hotel located outside of walking distance to shops, nice restaurants, bars etc
