Welcome to the Best Western Plus Hotel Excelsior, a family-friendly, 4 Star hotel in the center of the Thuringian capital. From here, no way is too far - whether it's a stroll through the old town, a shopping tour or a day trip from the main train station, we are right in the heart of Erfurt.

The hotel has four conference rooms for up to 66 people. After a successful event or an eventful day in the city, you can round off the evening in our hotel bar with cocktails and snacks.

Well located with easy access to the train station and a short walk into the old town. Decor seemed a bit dated, but the hotel was clean and pleasant. Good breakfast. Only downside was the noise from the main road, although this was fine as long as the windows were closed.

Great hotel. I'd stay here again. It is super close to the main train station. The hotel offers limited parking and you can't reserve it so if you drive, just plan on parking in the train station parking lot. It is a block away and 12 Euro per night. My only negative comment on the hotel is the parking.

Highly recommend.

Close to the train station which was very convenient. We could walk to everywhere and felt completely safe. Fastest check in I have ever experienced. Very good breakfast with lovely personal service even though it was part of the room charge. Offering coffee refills for example, and there were table settings at every chair despite the buffet style food. Felt more like a restaurant than some hotel breakfasts.

Thankful for AC!

Much of Europe is going through a heat wave this summer, and I was very pleased to get upgraded to a room in a newer annex Called the Thomas house. Very clean and comfortable with cold air conditioning. Close to Main train station and shopping options.

Convenient and comfortable place to stay in Erfurt

The Best Western in Erfurt was absolutely wonderful. It had all the comforts of any modern American hotel. Breakfast was great. It was located in a very central area and you could walk to everything. The staff was wonderful. The only downside was that there is no air conditioning, but we had record high temperatures while we were there.

Nice clean and secure hotel very near the train station and on local bus routes. Look close as the entry is simply a doorway on the sidewalk. Good breakfast as well. Grocery store across the street. We were there in late May during an unusually warm period. No AC and a lot of bus noise with the window open..

Third time at this property and as always, clean and comfortable. Staff is pleasant and efficient. Breakfast is very good and wifi is fast and dependable- you have to ask for a code at the front desk.

Great location and nice hotel.

Room was a block from central station. I was in town for a convention at the Erfurt Messa and the tram was a 3 mi ute walk. Hotel was comfortable and the room was clean. Front desk staff were very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast had a nice selection of hot and cold foods. Wifi was free and adequate. I am coming back to Erfurt in December and will most definitely stay here again!

Bei Anreise niemand an der Rezeption. Mitarbeiter stand länger rauchend vor dem Haus. \"Guten Tag\" spart man sich im Hotel leider überwiegend, auch am Telefon (Erfahrung über drei Tage). Das erste Zimmer war wg. unerträglichem Gestank (schon auf dem Gang) unzumutbar. Das zweite Zimmer war gut und sehr groß, wurde aber nicht gereinigt. Frühstück war ok. Code für den kleinen Safe kann man nicht selbst vergeben, man muss ihn an der Rezeption erfragen u. darf ihn nicht verändern! Fragwürdige Diebstahlsicherheit!
Eine absolute Zumutung ist der extrem langsame Lift! Bei Anreise über 10 Min. gewartet!
Ich würde dort nicht mehr wohnen wollen.

Gute Lage zur Altstadt, geräumige Zimmer, nettes Personal.
Buffetbereich im Frühstücksraum sehr beengt somit etwas stressig. Hier wäre eine Einbahnstraßenregelung hilfreich.

Das Hotel ist fußläufig vom Hauptbahnhof Erfurt nur einen Katzensprung entfernt und auch sehr gut an den ÖPNV angebunden.

Wir hatten das Zimmer 212 und damit ein sehr ruhiges, großes Zimmer mit Blick in den Innenhof. Das Zimmer hatte sogar zwei TV-Geräte. Das Bett war bequem und die Matratzen nicht durchgelegen. Ein Wasserkocher und einige Teesorten wurden im Zimmer bereitstellt. Ebenso zur Begrüßung zwei kleine Flaschen Wasser.

Das Treppenhaus wurde gerade teilrenoviert, wodurch natürlich ein wenig Baustellencharme aufkam. Wer nur den Fahrstuhl nutzt, wird dies jedoch nicht bemerken. Es gab aber keinerlei Einschränkungen, z.B. durch Lärm, während des Aufenthaltes.

Das Personal, unabhängig ob am Empfang, Housekeeping oder beim Frühstück, war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Zu der Hotelbar kann ich nichts sagen, da diese während meines Aufenthaltes wegen Urlaub geschlossen war. Aber auch hier gab das Personal ganz tolle Tipps in der Umgebung.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und immer bis zum Schluss frisch aufgefüllt.

Ein schönes empfehlenswertes Hotel in Erfurt.

Das in der Nähe des HBF gelegene Hotel ist praktisch, um zu Fuß die Innenstadt zu erkunden. Alle weiteren Punkte können einfach über den HBF erreicht werden. Die Zimmer in den Hinterhof sind leise. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist mehr als ausreichend und zu empfehlen.

Das Hotel ist in der Nähe vom Hauptbahnhof gelegen und liegt sehr zentral und das Zimmer war sauber und mit allen notwendigen ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig mit allen was man sich so wünscht und sogar mit thüring. Spezialitäten und zu Fuss konnte man alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichen und die Haltestelle von der Straßenbahn war ca. 4 min entfernt Richtung HBF. (Ostern 2024)

Gutes Hotel in Bahnhofsnähe

Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und das Zimmer war sauber. Schön war, dass wir Holzfußboden hatten.
Das Bett war bequem und das Frühstück ausreichend und lecker. Alles da, was man braucht.
Nur wenige Fußminuten vom Bahnhof und auch in das Zentrum ist man schnell gelaufen.
Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Das exzellenteste 4 Sterne Hotel

Mit Abstand das beste 4 Sterne Hotel, in dem ich bisher war. Das Zimmer war komfortabel und absolut sauber. Die Dusche genau richtig eingestellt. Die Matratzen erstklassig. Das Frühstück liess keine Wünsche übrig. Nichts fehlte. Die Freundlichkeit aller Mitarbeiter: Toll, und nicht \"angeeignet\". Ich würde mir wünschen, jedes Hotel hätte diesen Standard. Hier passt das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis zu 100%. Vielen Dank!

Excelente localização com bom café da manhã, WIFI

Excelente localização, cerca de 5/6 minutos a pé da estação central de trem. Staff muito bom, com escelentes dicas sobre a cidade, inclusive um pequeno mapa gratuito das atrações, sendo que as atrações estão todas a pequena distância a pé, não é necessário usar o transporte público para se locomover. Creio que a localização é ideal para se deseja usar como base para conhecer Weimar e o Campo de Concentração de Buschenwald. Café da manhã muito completo e incluso . Excelente Wi-fi, quartos confortáveis

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Erfurter Hauptbahnhof. Dennoch ist es recht ruhig. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sind auch in direkter Umgebung, den Anger kann man zu Fuß in kurzer Zeit erreichen. Auch zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt kann man zu Fuß gelangen. Alternativ fährt die Tram direkt vom Hbf in verschiedene Richtungen ab. Das Hotelzimmer ist gut ausgestattet und wir hatten einen netten Ausblick aus dem vierten Stock. Das Frühstück könnte etwas mehr Auswahl bieten, es ist recht überschaubar und inkludiert nichts Besonderes. Dennoch ist das Hotel insgesamt empfehlenswert.

Påregn ikke parkering ved hotel

Ved bookningen blev det oplyst at der var parkering på hotellet. Det viser sig at det var der kun til nogle gæster. Vi måtte parkere i et parkeringshus et par hundrede meter væk.
Hotellet var i øvrigt et fint ældre hotel, med god komfort og god morgenmad.
