It is a great hotel, but for summer or spring season is not very recommended, it does not have air conditioning and rooms can get very very hot. Aside from that inconvenience, the hotel is on a great spot, just steps from the main train station. Breakfast is great!

Sehr gut gelegenes hotel nicht weit von der innenstadt zu fuss gut erreichbar. Personal sehr freudlich. Etwas lärmig wegen dem nahegelegenen bahnhof. Parkplatz euro 18 pro tag zu teuer. Frühstück euro 17 pro person zu teuer. Etwas zu wenig auswahl für den preis. Das buffet wird nur auf nachfragen aufgefüllt.

Zentrale Lage als Pluspunkt

Zentral am Hauptbahnhof gelegen. Alles leicht erreichbar. Guter öffentlicher Nahverkehr. Auch Sehenswürdigkeiten schnell fußläufig zu erreichen. Allerdings ist der Frühstückspreis in der Unterkunft mit 17 Euro zu hoch. Auch bei der Parkgebühr von 18 Euro pro Tag gibt es Luft nach unten. Die Lobby des Hotels ist erheblich verbesserungswürdig. Ein Aufenthalt ist dort alles andere als angenehm. Süßigkeiten- und Getränkeautomat. Etwas armseliger Tisch mit einem PC drauf (Ist das das \"Business Center?) WLAN Glückssache.

Very convenient right next to the station. The 2-day pass for public transport was a blessing. The centre of Erfurt may be small, but when you have walked the length and breadth of it several times, a tram ride is good for the feet. The room was fine for a short stay, since it is clearly intended for business travellers who are only there for one night. Facilities are therefore somewhat limited.

Erfurt is not a huge city, so this hotel located just next to the main train station is perfect to arrive to the city a do a quick check in so afterwards you can have a walk around the city.
Everthing worked well, clean rooms, quiet ailes, good location.

Decent hotel in excellent location

Overall, the hotel was good and in a good location to see the sights in Erfurt. However, it did not have air conditioning as advertised, which was problematic on a hot summer night and opening the window brought in all the street and train noise, not to mention light so our night there was not restful at all. If you don’t have air conditioning, don’t say you do to prospective guests. Furthermore, the WiFi did not work, which was also unhelpful.

Great hotel at a great price!

A fine hotel - lovely people working the desk, very helpful. Locationwas great for being close to the train station (we had very early trains) and the trams were five minutes from the hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. You do get a lot of noise from the train announcements as the hotel backs up onto the train boarding area, but it is distant and does not interfere with sleeping.

This hotel is a fairly good *** hotel, but seriously overpriced. Small rooms, IBIS-like bathroom. Excellent but small beds. Notwithstanding the proximity of the railway station very quiet. Good overall choice for the breakfast buffet, but overcrowded: hardly enough place, and the staff cannot cope (no organization). Chewy sandwiches. Centre within walking distance, but you get a free ticket for the public transport, which is very convenient.

Extremely convenient, being adjacent to the central train station and a stop for the light rail. The hotel also included free public transportation. The downside is the sound of the trains. I couldn't hear them with my windows closed, but wanted to open the windows because of the heat (no AC). Overall, it was convenient and reasonably priced.

As its right next to the station, I chose it as I was exploring by train. It's very serviceable, if a bit bland and boring, but clean and reasonably priced. You get a complimentary free pass for public transport, which I used quite a bit, although Erfurt is small enough to walk to most places.

This was my second time at the InterCity Erfurt. Since we were using Erfurt as a base for several day trips, it was the perfect location, practically attached to the train station. It's a short walk into the old city as well, making everything very accessible.

The bathroom is very small--one member of our group described it as \"like a cruise ship shower\" which isn't far off.
Note that the hotel is adjacent to (maybe even connected to?) the train station, and some rooms can have train noise if the windows are open. However, my room overlooked the train station and when I shut the window, it was like going into an airlock or something--the room was completely silent. I wish the windows at my house were that amazing.

Upon check in you'll receive a card you can use for all the public transit in the town. We never used ours because everything was in easy walking distance, but it could be handy for those less able/willing to walk the cobblestone streets.

Not all the desk staff speak English, so if no one in your party speaks German it would be wise to brush up or keep your phrasebook/Google Translate handy.

The breakfast is severely overpriced--go across the plaza to the bakery instead, where you could eat breakfast for three days for the price of one at the hotel.

The hotel was excellent in every respect, good value for money, and very conveniently located close to Erfurt railway station while at the same time very quiet. The hotel provides a travel pass for free travel on city trams and buses and this is an excellent bonus besides being an incentive to spend one's time effectively.

I chose this hotel because it was close to the train station, and I was traveling in and out with just one night and didn't want to waste time getting to and from a hotel. The hotel is practically attached to the train station, which was a pleasant surprise--very easy to locate.

They gave me a transit card that would have allowed me to use the buses and trams, but I found Erfurt very walkable, at least the parts I was interested in. I mostly wandered about the old part of the city--it's maybe a 15 minute walk to the bridge with all the buildings on it, and to the Augustinian monastery where Luther was once a monk, etc.

The room was comfortable, relatively spacious by European standards (though by no means large), and had a view of the train tracks. It was October so I didn't need to open the windows for long--I'm sure the trains are noisy (though again, compared to American trains the European trains are practically stealthy).

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I did wish there was a tea kettle in the room...

Very close to main station and city for shops etc. sadly the cost is more expensive than a Travelodge and the rooms are not as comfortable. It felt like a hostel. No tea/coffee in room. Two single thin blankets (duvet??) on the double bed. The staff were great and very helpful.

Location, but not much else

If you're catching a quick train or heading in to the city for the night, this is a good call. But, the rooms are very uncomfortable (even for European standards - although they are rather large) and the place feels like a hostel at times; a very nice reception area but once you're upstairs, very plain furnishings. And the showers have timers with an odd, red-tinged lighting system; very uncomfortable. Stay here if you need to get in and out of town quickly, you want an excellent location (adjacent to the main train station) and you're spending time in the city.

As we were on an organised church trip, all we needed was somewhere to stay, We had used the hotel before, and were more than happy to return. The service was as good as any we have received anywhere, the room was clean and comfortable (surprisingly quiet, despite being next to the station). Very convenient location. Right next to train station

If you're traveling by train, this is a good choice. The building is literally connected to the train station, so you don't have far to carry your bags. You also get a pass for all the local transportation (trams, busses), which also leave from right outside the front door of the hotel.

Rooms are accessed by key card, which seems relatively rare for other German hotels in this price bracket.

Wifi requires a by-the-minute payment, and breakfast is relatively expensive. Hop over to one of the bakeries in the plaza outside the train station for something much less expensive.

Hotel was pretty much what was promised.

A bit disappointed I was:
- that I could'nt find free internet access.
- there was misunderstanding about taxes. For me atleast it was a suprise that hotel collected on check out tax called: Erfurt City Tax.
- Breakfast buffet was expensive. Okay, the buffet itself was amazing. So...

Better when not during the summer

The room was of a decent size. The cleanliness was OK but not great - could have dusted a lot more and vacuumed. Because there was no air conditioning, much of my stay was not all that comfortable. It is simply too hot there during the summer. I'm sure that the hotel would be much more comfortable during the Spring or Fall. TV is extra. Breakfast is extra. Internet is extra.

Good location!!

This hotel is located literally steps away ferom the train station making it a very convienient place to stay. The rooms were very clean and it was a quiet atmosphere. I think it was a little pricey compared to other hotels I stayed at in Germany, but overall I'd say I was satisfied. It was a nice location because there are lots of cafes and shops where you can walk and get coffe or meals. The only problem I had while there was the front desk tried to charge me two times, first when arriving then when leaving. I tried to explain that I had paid online, but they couldn't seem to understand that. Finally when I was leaving I just said, OK, go ahead and charge me again (knowing that I would dispute the charge later and get a refund. Finally the manager came out and cleared it up. Oh, and the second thing was that they tried to charge me for double occupance because a friend who lived in Erfurt came to help me to the train station as I was leaving. I also tried to ecplain this too them, but apparently they didn't believe me. In the end it was all cleared up and I wasn't charge, but it was just a little bit of a hassle. Overall, I was satisfied and would stay here again.

In der Dusche und oben ausserhalb war überall Schimmel. Das Personal, ausser die Reinigungskräfte, waren sowas von unfreundlich. Das Frühstück war nix, ausser der Kaffee war gut. Heute war nichts los und man musste die Thermoskanne mit Kaffee und die Milch selber holen. Null Service. Es wird nicht gegrüsst und kein Tschüß. Also für knapp 200 Euro für 2 Übernachtungen absolute Sauerei. NIE WIEDER

Reicht voll und ganz aus für eine Nacht, hat unseren Erwartungen zum Preis entsprochen. Freundliches Personal, Lage zentral am HBF, Tiefgarage mit wenigen Stellplätzen war leider belegt, die Alternative war am HBF mit 1min Fußweg und 15€/24h. Zimmer sind sauber und zweckmäßig, Vorhang schließt leider nicht komplett daher scheint viel Licht ins Zimmer. Fenster kann man öffnen, Lautstärke ist tatsächlich trotz der Lage okay
