Great staff at the front desk. Very upbeat and friendly. Also, the staff was able to handle the chaos in the lobby with ease. Impressive.
However, there is one young girl in the restaurant that seems pretty angry with the world. I felt like an inconvenience to be seated by her or to ask questions of her. No friendly smile. And, she wasn’t nice to the young man that tended the bar area.
Overall, a good experience. Not great but kinda mid cuz of this girl and the size of our room (small) and no door to the shower area. Very difficult to navigate privacy for 3 people. It would have been nice to be informed of that ahead of time. We likely would have booked emsewhere. Please thank front desk staff for us though. They were excellent.

Pictures look nicer than reality. Our bathroom ceiling had a leak and no door. It just had a folding that you were expected to move every time you wanted to access the bathroom.

Room was extremely hot. In November, they can’t put the AC on so we had to sleep with the windows open and it was very loud. The hotel is under renovation.

Staff was kind, but we didn’t sleep much.

The room in the annex building did not match the ones on the site. The furniture had visible stains as well. This is a solid (3) star hotel because of its close proximity to walk to everything but it is not a 4 star property (at least not in its current semi renovated state). Our room was on the 1st floor and it was exceptionally noisy & our bathroom toweled were frayed/damaged. I decided not to focus on this and take advantage of the walk ability to sites. Very near some great food but hotel staff was also not at all helpful in offering recommendations, except to their own restaurant. Overall decent stay but not exceptional.

This is a convenient place to stay in Monti, near convenient stores and very good restaurants. (Go around the corner and eat at La Taverna Dei Monti. You won't regret it.) Our room was spacious and comfortable, though the bathroom was a bit dark for a lady trying to do her makeup. It was a nice set up for us as a couple, but a family trying to share with any modesty would be difficult. Italian hotels often seem a bit dated and dingy, and this hotel was not an exception, but it was extremely clean. And while this hotel is not wheelchair accessible, it isn't too bad for folks with old knees.

I wish I did not have to be honest about this but the staff was frazzled. Staff in the restaurant in particular were snappish with customers, forcing people to finish their breakfasts so they could close up early, etc. Not very kind either in explaining where guests could wait for check-in after brutal early morning flights. Not transparent about this even when arrangements were attempted in advance.

Then there is the spa which is meagre and after cancelling my reservations, which threw off our whole itinerary and cost us money, I eventually received the worst massage of my life, after which I was left limping for the rest of my trip. Overall, it is a good hotel and you might have a better experience!

Well located, about a 10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain which has restaurants, and shopping all around it. Staff was great and you can store your luggage if you get there before check in time. They stored ours and had them in our room when we were able to check in. I would recommend this hotel and if I ever go back to Rome I would stay here again. The only thing for some reason if your room is in the same building as their front desk and restaurant your breakfast can be included with your stay. But if your room is in the building down the street your breakfast is not included. Was $15 for their breakfast buffet. Not sure why so you might want to check before reserving if you want breakfast included. Other than that nice place to stay.

The Rome Times Hotel is nestled in a side road and is almost evenly spaced right in the middle of the major attractions; the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Forum, Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and the Colosseum. Being central makes this a perfect place to stay to see all the sites especially if you like to walk!

The hotel is clean, but it is showing its age and might be in the need for a bit of a clean up. It is not bad, but it is getting slightly worn. We stayed in the “annex” building which is a few doors down the road from the main building (I am not sure why we were placed there versus the main building) so my comments on the age are based fully on the annex room we were in.

The staff at the Rome Times hotel were very friendly, booking us taxi trips quickly and even booking a golf cart tour in a few hours notice when all the others on the main sites were booked.

Breakfast was nice and I would rate it a 7 out of 10 because of the selection they had. It was a good, varied selection but they could have had a bit more items to start your day with.

We had dinner one night in the restaurant and the food was VERY good although service was quite slow. We never eat at hotel restaurants when in Italy but the items on the menu looked good so we gave it a go and we were not unhappy that we did.

With the plethora of hotels in the immediate area of the Rome Times Hotel I would give it a big thumbs up and we were not disappointed.

The hotel, restaurant, staff, breakfast, were all great. The lobby is very appealing. The location is excellent for walking everywhere.

Our room was another story. The heavy shower head was old, corroded, and actually fell off! You can see the patched up holes in the shower floor where it has fallen before and caused damage. If it had fallen on either of us we could have been hurt.
There was no hand soap in the room. Just 4 bottles of hair conditioner. Housekeeping needs more attention.
The desk staff kindly offered us another room, but as we were just there for one night and had largely unpacked we didn't wish to waste time on moving.

At checkIn we were told that there was full occupancy in the main hotel. Our room was apart of another building attached to the main hotel, which took away slightly from the experience of the ambiance and feel of being in the actual hotel. Our entrance door to get to our room was atleast 5 doors down from the main entrance. So if we wanted to visit guest services or have access to other amenities of the hotel, we had to walk out onto the street to access them. Other than that, the staff was nice, accomodating and helpful. The room was clean and the added feature of access to my Youtube account on the tv was a plus as we had our 8 year old son that was travelling with us.

Request the main building as the separate Annex Building is on the street corner where all the trash cans are lined up and you will be waking up to garbage trucks \"every single day\" at 2:30 AM for approx 5-10 minutes. We asked to be moved but staff was not able to accommodate my family.

We booked a family room for my wife, two kids and myself. Here is the list of issues we had with the hotel:
- No door on bathroom instead they had a rickety foldable screen
- No vent in bathroom
- Kids bed too short
- Shower wand doesn’t work and drain cover is loose
- Intermittent internet connection over WiFi
- Shower water temperature fluctuates from cold to scalding. Can’t hold a constant temperature
- Room refresh didn’t leave adequate toilet paper
- Room refresh didn’t refill shower gel or shampoo and the front desk couldn’t help us because the housekeeping staff had left for the day

The property was centrally located and you could easily walk to many of the restaurants in the area. It was a 15 min walk to the Colosseum and to also the Pantheon.

However, the shower was not in a separate bathroom, but rather in the main room, they provided a partition which provided a little bit of privacy but it was an odd location to put a shower. However, the toilet was in a separate room. Overall, the room was comfortable with the exception of the shower placement.

The staff at the hotel were very nice and greeted me every day.

I had never booked through Expedia before and glad all worked out. The hotel staff was responsive prior to the trip in confirming details and very professional through check in & check out. Restaurant was lovely and a great place to relax after a busy day of sight seeing. We stayed in Annex building and it was lovely. Rooftop Terraces in both buildings need major rework to be comforbable but rooms were great, service was great & AC worked during the early heat wave in June!

The room we received was NOT as described on the reservation. The room was very, very small0....probably 120 SQFT. The bathroom had no privacy. One of the bed was one foot from the bathroom. It was very uncomfortable to move around, take showers and it extremely uncomfortable when we had to go to the toilet.

Good location. Beds were comfortable and rooms were decently furnished. The website gave the impression that there was a sauna….there is BUT it’s part the spa that you need to pay for and it has limited hours. Our bathroom window had black mold around the trim and let a lot of light into the room. The glass was frosted but there were no blinds and it let a lot of light into the room at night. We put towels over the window which helped but didn’t solve it adequately. The door into the bathroom was frosted glass so you definitely didn’t get a darkened room at night.
The price was higher than the value.

It had a very tall rim difficult to climb for me and no holding bars. Very dangerous with a soapy floor for any senior person with any kind of limitation. The best feature of the place was the front desk that was always helpful.

This is our Goto hotel in Rome. Even though It is a little outdated, its in a great location within Rome. Near the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Palantine Hill & Forum.
The rooms are clean, staff is very helpful.
Shout out to the bartender. I think his name is Marcel. But I could be wrong. He was awesome. Fun to talk to. He gave us several tips on where to around Rome and his opinions on each place. They let us store our luggage for a night while we went to Florence. Then actually had it delivered to our new rooms. Waiting for us in the room when we returned.
Morning breakfast is always good and refilled as needed.
Did a little karaoke one night with some live entertainment.
Other than the rooms being a little outdated. This place is a 5 star.
They just seem to get it at the Rome Times Hotel!

Rome Times Hotel Stay

The hotel staff was very helpful. Front desk staff was able to accommodate us by keeping our luggage for one night as we made a short trip to Florence.

One person who made a huge difference was the bartender (I think his name was Manuel but I may have misheard). He made a huge impact one evening when there we not many customers. He shared much of his knowledge and experience with us. It gave us a much better understanding of the local culture and history. VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Some items to note about the hotel. It can be a bit noisy and similar to other comments, there are costs that are not really identified in the pricing. It would be great if those are included when identifying costs per night. I will know better to ask for our next stay.

Overall, pleasant stay but staff was outstanding!!

Stayed in the annex building so needed to go to building a few doors down for front desk and breakfast buffet. Room was good, comfortable bed and a little outside terrace area attached. Bathroom vanity area short on space and a very small shower. Air conditioning was not turned on for the season yet so room was warm and too noisy outside to leave window open at night.

night porter needs customer training.

First night was terrible. The tv was not working and when the lights were out the flashing red lights of the smoke alarm were very bright and so we could not sleep. Rang the night porter who was very rude and abrupt . When we complained , the manager changed us to another room and all went very well after that. My wife was so shocked about the night porters attitude I hope they will give him some extra training to improve his manners .

Excellent room and location for seeing the sights and the history in Rome. The room would have been perfect for just me and my wife. But we took our adult kids. The layout was fine for us. But the room needed the bathroom separation wall replaced. The temporary fix was an accordion type wall. It worked. But it was always in the way and it didn’t make it as private as we desired for taking a shower or going to the restroom. I would pick this Team and hotel again. But, I would work with the great Staff on what my family would have been more comfortable with. I would recommend to venture away from the hotel for restaurants at times. It seamed to me all the local restaurants had the same distributors for the red sauces. Wanted to experience more variety.

Very nice boutique hotel, pretty walkable to Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, and the Pantheon if you’re ok with a 10-15 walk. The staff is lovely. Even when the reservation got mixed up and I was supposed to have free breakfast included, they were nice enough to comp one day’s breakfast. Very safe area with great restaurants nearby as well.

Rome times hotel was great. Super quiet, super clean, and cold air conditioning. Very nice hotel located close to every thing with very good restaurants close by. You could hit a golf ball to 6 or 8. I would definitely stay there again.
Just FYI, if you are from the USA you need to bring outlet adapters for plug-ins. Stayed in 3 really nice hotels in Italy, all needed outlet adapters

We stayed here for my friend’s 40th birthday. When we arrived we felt impressed walking into the hotel. The guy on reception was friendly and helpful. We didn’t have the best view from our double room (main building) but the room was lovely and clean. Great shower and comfy bed, and good air con. Had breakfast each morning which we enjoyed.
The hotel is in walking distance to shops Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and the colosseum.
We found all staff attentive at breakfast and when we had drinks in the bar. Reception also helped with taxis and kept our luggage safe on the last day.
Would defoliate let recommend this hotel and will stay again if we ever return to Rome.

When we arrived it was raining. We checked in and were told that we needed to walk down the street about 100 ft to our building. My wife and I had 4 suitcases. One reception staff carried one bag to door, saw it was raining and pointed us to the direction of our building . Horrible, not being told in advance that our room was not in main building with all faccilities and for lack of assitance.
The same reception staff attempted to assist us in obtaining a taxi. Again it was raining. After two phone call attempts, he gave up and said sorry. I asked him what we can do and he basically shrugged us off. Not until I raised my voice as I was walking out did he run to assist and flagged us a cab.
Room,- aside from being a B&B without breakfast, was nice. Safe failed on us, but quick to respond.
Inconsistant water tempetature in shower. Very little pressure from shower head but full pressure from shower wand.
Other staff were VERY pleasant it was only one employee who was and always seemed annoyed to assist. Unfortunately i do not recall his name. Im certain hes fielded many complaints . I am fluent in Italian, so our challenges were not a result of language barrier.
Location is good. 15 minute walk to Trevi fountain.
All in all I would not return to this hotel as a result of experiences we had.
Be informed that the \"Annex Building\" as listed by Expedia, is not attached to Main building.

The hotel is located in the city centre of Rome which is very convenient. Staff was lovely and the hotel lobby and bar/restaurant area all nicely renovated. Breakfast was of good standing too.
However, the room was not at all at the level of a 4 star hotel. It needs full renovation of the bathroom and walls. The paint is coming off, the bathroom is damp with mould, the insolation is terrible as we could hear the city traffic as well if our next door neighbours, maids in the corridor in the morning. Overall, I would say that the price was too expensive for the service received.

It was a little strange that once we checked into the hotel our room was like down the street in another building. They have a great roof top area, but nothing up there to do and not really able to see much from up there. I would definitely stay there again if I were to visit Rome, but there’s probably plenty of other places to stay that are just as comparable.

Cute and conveniently located

Cute little boutique, hotel, conveniently located in the middle of the city of Rome! Everything is literally within walking distance specially the Colosseum literally through blocks away! We had a great time there on this property.

Excellent staff and amenities. Very kind and helpful staff and it has a great restaurant. Room was nice with a shared patio. The only negative was that the shower stall was quite small and hard to turn around in. It would be okay for preteen children, but is small for normal sized adults.

Great stay. Lovely rooftop, nice rooms, great location and good amenities. Only consideration was the door out of the secondary building was broken was trying to leave after hours and could be a real hazard!

A/C and water issues detract from stay

Pros: location, quiet, friendly staff.
Negative: poor A/C. No ability to fix air conditioning or water pressure..
Overall:
Stayed in a room for 4 people in the annex building on the 4th floor. Room was said to have air conditioning but it never cooled the room. Asked 4 times at the front desk for help but no one could fix the problem. Then on the last day, the room lost all water pressure so you couldn't use the shower or sink.
I would not recommend.

Overnight in Rome

Great location and shout out to Marco at the front desk for taking care of us. Executive room in the main building for an overnight stay was perfect. Walked to Colosseum and quick taxi ride to the Vatican.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was an issue as it was very hot in Tome in July and the AC was not adequate to cool the room, so we had a very difficult time sleeping and getting ready in such warm rooms. The hotel did deliver fans to our rooms after the first night and that helped, but not ideal.

We loved this hotel. The beds were comfortable, location was not bad, staff was friendly. It was our daughter’s birthday the day before we checked out and the hotel made her feel special with a mini cake. It was appreciated so much and I hope they see this! I would recommend this hotel for your next stay.

The fact there was a different building for some of the rooms was a surprise, and not as convenient.
Also, wifi barely works. Too noisy from the street. AC didn’t work one of the night. Sink was not working. Stuff was friendly. Good location.
