Lovely hotel. Not in the centre of Dortmund but ideal for the stadium.

Near the park. You need to pay to enter the park and if booked online need to print off the passes for scanning so plan in advance.

Lovely rooms. Clean and well thought out. Has all toiletries needed including body lotion and hair conditioner which is a bonus.

I don’t think they do room service anymore and the bar/restaurant can get busy when there is a match on which can make service slow.

The staff are lovely, really helpful and friendly.

Room was dusty, floor had sticky bits on it, fridge was not clean (and I found a hair in it). Bathroom was clean.
I had booked this hotel only because of the pool, as I was travelling with my child. On the day of arrival I was informed that the pool was closed. Staff did not offer any compensation (free breakfast or parking, etc).

Brilliant stay! The hotel is very well maintained, the staff are extremely helpful, the bar/restaurant/breakfast buffet has a relaxed atmosphere with great selection of food & the added bonus of having a lovely pool & spa in the hotel! Would definitely stay again!

Czysto ale słabe ogrzewanie.

Hotel przyjemny, bardzo uprzejma obsługa w restauracji. Dostępny basen, temperatura wody nie jest wysoka. Otrzymaliśmy pokój z wyłączonym ogrzewaniem - na zewnątrz było około zera stopni, w pokoju 17 stopni Celsjusza - grzejnik włacza sie samemu, zanim pokój sie zagrzał, trzeba było wyjeżdżać. Chyba konieczne jest,żeby obsługa hotelu, wiedząc o rezerwacjach, właczała ogrzewanie w odpowiednich pokojach, chyba to nie jest zbyt trudne ?

We booked a king bed and the property information specifically said the room had a bathtub, but we were given a room with two single beds and a bathroom with only a shower. Also the heating/cooling controls in the room didn't work.

Dining in the hotel restaurant was an extremely slow experience and was a bit frustrating.

The hotel was ok. We arrived late at night after a long drive to find that the restaurant was shut and by the time we had dropped the bags at our room and returned the bar had shut. The whole hotel is running on a skeleton crew, so nothing is available.
We were hungry after 500km of driving and the hotel said they had a special menu with a nearby restaurant (the menu is taped to the reception desk). So we ordered some food and went to our room. Ten minutes later we got a call from reception saying they are not doing food any more. So no food for us, including three children!
So I had to order food by installing the Lieferando app and I went down to reception to ask them to let me know when the courier arrived and I found the receptionist ordering Pizza for another family that had just arrived!! Maybe he didn't suggest the Pizza option because he didn't like us :(
In the morning, things were a little better, breakfast was ok and there were more staff around. However , it was a poor second compared with the Radisson Blu Lübeck which had a superior selection, omelette chef etc.
Will not be considering Radisson Blu as my first choice anymore.

The radisson service was below average. The radisson staff were not friendly and very grumpy. The coffee was below average and all condiments were charged automatically. Condiments in an international hotel should be complimentary.

Traveled to Dortmund to compete at the Pherde und Hunde show at the Messe very close by. Perfect location. Very nice rooms. My dog was welcome and there is plenty of room to exercise your dogs next door to the hotel

I booked 2 nights air conditioning was not working properly and did not sleep for 2 nights.
They gave us a jr suite for the same price fantastic air conditioning brilliant got a great sleep in a big bed with walk in shower. Loved it. Just wish the small rooms had the same conditions.

Our overall stay was really good. Great location situated 5 minutes car journey from the city centre and directly next door to Westfalen park. The facilities including the swimming pool were amazing along with the breakfast which had a huge selection of foods. Rooms were more than adequate and staff so friendly. We will definitely return.

Very nice hotel. Walking distance from Westfallenhallen. Not close to anything else though. Very nice gym and pool. Exceptional, though expensive, buffet breakfast.

The rooms were clean, though the cleaners sometimes did not leave enough towels and the bed sheets were never changed.

Overall a very pleasant stay.

If you like dirty rooms this hotel is for you

If you like your room scattered with other peoples hair I can highly recommend this hotel. You even get pubic hair with your towels! No more needs to be said about this property.

Ok hotel, shame about the staff

Booked a superior room and was advised on arrival that our room would be a twin, which couldn’t be changed as they were fully booked. The lady was very unhelpful and rude on reception, both at check in and check out when we asked about how the 50€ deposit would be returned to our card
Pool and facilities were free to use and clean. Hotel is out of town so you would need to use the underground to get into Dortmund, the nearest stop is a 5 min walk away

My honest opinion

The area is surrounded by trees and that is pretty. They over charged us BUT fixed it right away. The food is expensive and really not good. 4 of us had steak dinners it was 194.00 and 2 of our streaks were cold. The air conditioning didnt really work well and when I spoke the man at the desk he said he would have somebody look at it. Never happened. However the housekeeping was fantastic!

Good location

One night stay ias part of return journey to Rotterdam ferry. Comfortable and spacious room and very good breakfast. Staff not particularly friendly and there was uncertainty at check in (3.10pm) as to wether the room was clean. Disappointed that the pool was closed for maintenance as the leisure facility was one of the reasons we booked and there was no mention in the web site that it was closed

We had a lovely time in Dortmund for the England Game at the nearby football stadium. The hotel is a way out of the city centre but has good links on the U-Bahn. It is perfect for Borusia Dortmunds ground just a short walk. It has a lovely pool and nice rooms and is good for the nearby Park and TV Tower although there's a €3.50 charge to go into the park. Not too much around in the way of Restaurants and Bars and we weren't made to feel too welcome in the Bar as lots of German FA officials on all expenses paid trip were in the hotel so felt looked down upon by them. Also the hotel cleaning staff were very noisy and out quite early knocking and banging doors whilst shouting and this was all still early so wasn't happy just trying to rest!!! Reception staff and leisure club staff very friendly and helpful. Only other point is the policy of taking money... we reserved the hotel on a credit card and at check in used a different pre paid euro card... they blocked €558 on euro card for the stay and even though we paid with that card at checkout they have still take £492 off the credit card originally used too... so hope this gets sorted... not happy with that and a good job we checked our statements!!! All in though a nice place.

Booked the room as it was near to Signal Iduna Football stadium as we were there for my son's 21st birthday treat (or should I say one of them ) to watch Dortmund play.
The hostel is very close to the stadium, making it easy to walk there and back.
The hotel is clean comfortable and the staff are excellent, particularly in the bar, where the food and beverages are served promptly and politely. They are also not overpriced , thankfully, as we would have had a long walk to find somewhere else to take refreshments!
Overall, very good. I would go back.

Room clean but not change tower.
Reception bad service not friendly and not smile. They alway take care only German guy.
Not change tower in my guest room.
When we check in very long time bucause must pay all first. But we come in group 10 rooms. Not possible to wait long time like this. We stay total 3 hotel for this thip since 29May-3 June. Radisson Blu Dortmund only one which we and our customer complain about service of reception staff. They're not profestional.

Great location for football about a 20 minute walk to Signal Iduna but there is no insulation between rooms and the doors are engineered to slam. If you only expect to sleep between 1:00 am and 8:00 am your fine. Very clean and friendly, flexible staff.

ok but mind the type of room you book....

The hotel was ok overall but there was a mixup with the room and when we arrived we were given a twin bed room instead of a king size bed room. I had specifically mentioned when booking that I wanted a king size bed for my girlfriend and I. The staff was unable to change the room and because we could not cancel the room anymore all we could do was move the furniture around and put the beds together...also, we did not have any bath robs or slippers in the room even though this was supposed to be included as well and the room was a bit dusty and the bathroom although fairly clean, it smelled bad. Otherwise, the hotel staff was nice and polite, spoke good english, the food at the restaurant was excellent (particularly recommend the curry). The hotel is near Florian tower so it's in a quiet area, not much to do there but the city center is only 4-5 tube stations away or 15-20 minutes drive. Unfortunately parking at the hotel is not free, you have to pay 10 euros...

Garden view?

Booked in to this hotel while on a trip to watch dortmund. It was a very expensive hotel and the room was described as having a garden view.
I was moved when I complained the attached photo wasn't a garden view to a higher floor with pretty much the same view.
Wasn't bothered about the view but when you pay for a superior room with a view you expect to get one, especially at over £250 a night.
I asked for a discount and didn't get one.

Hotel is not near the city, 4 stops on the underground if you don't have a car. Hotel restaurant menu is a little limited in variety but food was good. Bar was very busy on our visit and the staff were not able to cope. Rooms basic but for the price this was okay. Very few english channels on the TV. Staff were all very nice and welcoming.

Excellent hotel. It was clean. There was ample parking. The location was good too. The staff was friendly, the noise level was low and over all excellent

But I feel the breakfast was expensive. The parking was a bit too complicated. Every time I had to get out of the parking garage I had to go to the front desk and get the pass validated. This is the first time I have seen this sort of system in any hotel I have ever stayed any where in the world. The daily pass should have free access to go in and out of the garage wihtout getting the pass validated every single time.

Radisson standards....really?

Not to the standard I expected from a Radisson and we've stayed at many. We were taken aback by the lack of facilities at 11pm, time we arrived. When asked about room service we were told its either soup or spag bowl...thats it. Bar was closed and staff were non existent.
Overall we wouldnt stay again.
There just seemed to be a lack of desire to assist or welcome you. Plus attitude of reception staff was rather \"I dont care if you are the customer\"

Great staff and service

Must say the overall standout feature of this hotel are the staff and the service they provide.
One the 2 occasions there was an issue, it was immediately rectified.
More than the solution, I was greatly impressed by the desire to help and assist.
Special mention to lady on reception with glasses and the silver haired lady in restaurant (sorry I forget the names..)
If service is your thing, look no further than Radisson Blu Dortmund.

Good stay, a few minor issues.

Pleasant stay. Right by the tube station and 5 stops from the city centre.
Clean and good value for money.
A couple of problems. No robe and slippers in the room on arrival so looked pretty stupid when entering the spa when everyone had them on.
Also the feathers in the pillows had a perculiar smell, which was not good.
Staffing at the poolside bar wasn't the best, often waiting around for service.
All in all we were happy with our stay and will be back

we stayed here for a Dortmund game. The facilities were what one would expect from Radisson and the location was ideal for the football. Dortmund is not a huge town so the city centre was only a short taxi or 4 metro stops away. The hotel staff even let us use the pool after checking out while we waited for a flight which was a nice touch. Very much enjoyed the stay

Had a wonderful time. The hotel was excellent. We were staying for the Germany v Scotland football match and the team were staying too so made it extra special. The staff were very helpful and corteous. We also ate at the hotel and the food was out of this world and reasonably priced.
The only thing that let it down was the wait for the receipt when paying for anything as the staff had to print off receipt which was more geared up for those charging it to their room rather than paying cash.

We enjoyed out two-night stay here. The location was important for us as we were attending a football match at the nearby stadium. We had dinner in the restaurant on one of the evenings and it was very good. The only (mild) criticism that I could level was that it was sometimes quite slow to order a drink at the bar. But that didn't mar our enjoyable experience.

Very nice hotel next to Westfalen park (entry fee). Large comfortable rooms, free water in mini bar and coffee,tea and hot chocolate in room. Couldn't fault service, made very welcome. Only downside was the distance from Dortmund centre. The hotel is discreetly hidden away so can be challenging to find.

Short trek to Westfallenhalle

The hotel is located a 15 minute walk from WestfallenHalle, across two dual carriageways. You might think it's difficult to reach on foot - wait til you try by car. The hotel itself is excellent - decent facilities and very welcoming, professional staff.When I visited the hotel restaurant was being refurbished, but the staff served breakfast in a conference room and the service was fine.Its a short (5 minute) walk from a tube station which gets you into central Dortmund within 15 minutes.Not a lot of things nearby, apart from other hotels.I'd stay there again for events at WestFallen Halle or a night at the football (Borussia Dortmund ground is near)

Perfect for Boroussia Dortmund Home Games

Stayed for one night when attending a Boroussia Dortmund Home Game. 15 minute walk to the ground. Not centrally located so would require a train journey into Dortmund if that's what you wanted to do. If it is straight in watch the match, a few beers and then onwards, this is perfect!

Borussia Dortmund match

Stayed on the Saturday following a match at Signal Iduna Park. Hotel staff friendly and helpful, we arrived early for the game but room wasn't ready so simply parked in underground car park and walked to stadium - easy to find and convenient walkway over the busy roads. Hotel reception had offered to store luggage until we returned.
After a long day, a great match and a few beers we decided on room service and tv. Food was excellent and service friendly again.
TV channels in room a bit limited and pay tv didn't seem to work but I was tired so could have been \"user error\". Room was comfortable, beds especially and very clean. Checked out in 2 mins and was on our way with ease.

Good and functional

Generally a good hotel. Room was good, and the leisure centre was excellent. One of the reception staff was excellent, but the rest were generally poor and not very helpful.

Perfect for Dortmund fans

I stayed the Radisson for 2 nights while in Dortmund attending a football match. Hotel was perfectly placed with the stadium a short distance away. Hotel was great, staff were very friendly and helpful. My only gripe is that the room was quite small for 3 adults.
