The hotel is lovely, spotless, comfy, great beds and best of all has opening windows for actual fresh air!! The car park is payable and there also a city tax on arrival. We even rented a couple of brollies from the machine in reception! It is a short walk to the U-bahn into town and there are a couple of very nice Italian restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is adequate (it is a budget hotel after all!) and we would happily stay here again.

A very nice place to stay in a new part of Aplerbeck. We loved the perfect breakfast buffet. Every detail was considered! Amazing.
I love the electric water kettle & porcelain mugs for tea or coffee making in the rooms! Wonderful, better than a coffee maker, which leaves us tea drinkers with a terrible taste.
The only thing I miss in German hotels in general are washcloths.
We have stayed in various Holiday Inn Express hotels, would choose them anytime again. Thank you to a very friendly and helpful staff. Three beautiful restaurants are very close as are an Edeka supermarket and Netto store.

Great place to stay, very quiet, easy access to Dortmund centre via the Stadt Bahn, very friendly and helpful staff. Great knowledge of English. Wonderful continental style buffet breakfast included in the price.

We booked room a month before and paid for double room with sofa bed for our daughter only to find out at arrival that there are no rooms with sofa bed available. Guy at reception told us they can’t do anything about it apart of giving us cot bed. Information on booking site was clear - no cot beds for infants therefore you have to book room with sofa bed for extra price. Extra price for sofa bed to get cot bed in double room. Plus we booked room and paid extra for parking. Again guy at reception told that if we would like to use parking there is extra fee for it. After few minutes of discussion and showing him our booking confirmation he let us use parking for free. And it sounded like he was doing us favour. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Would not recommend especially if you travel with small baby and would like to things go smoothly.

A truly great place to stay.

We spent almost a month in Germany during this past Christmas/New Year's holidays and our stay at holidays inn express Dortmund was by far the best. Although the room was a bit small for two parents and a 12 year old; but in terms of comfort and wifi accessibility it was a great choice. Since we stayed for 9 days, we only paid a total of 18 euros for parking instead of the usual daily rate of 6 euros. The breakfast was great.

The staff were most helpful especially Andre. He surely went far and beyond to help: hands down the best for making our family's stay in dortmund a great one. Thanks Andre.

We will be visiting Dormund in the summer and we will definitely be staying at this holiday inn express.

Great option for a short stay in Dortmund

Very clean, quiet, but tight fitting rooms with great water pressure in the shower. The hotel offered a nice tea selection and a very good breakfast (included in the rate). The staff easily accommodated an early check in as our flight arrived early. The hotel is located near office complexes and there were no neighborhood shops or interesting places in the immediate vicinity, however this location was perfect for our needs. Note: A mandatory city tax (which was not disclosed at check in) was charged at checkout of approximately 5€per night.

Perfect Business Hotel for the Airport

There is little choice if you are flying in or out of Dortmund. The Holiday Inn Express, just a short taxi ride from the airport, and offers a friendly nights sleep, with clean rooms and a good breakfast the next morning. It is however the only place I have ever seen with a sign asking guests to not take make a snack for Ron, Later on...come on these days we are all so busy one roll and an apple can only be taken as a sign of a decent breakfast, surely?

Great hotel close to tram and rail network

The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpfull,my grand daughter needed some fresh milk each night for her bottle,this was never a problem. Although they don't serve food they were happy to phone for a take away for us and offered plates and cutelery We had a great time in a very good hotel.

Great hotel for the stop on the long journey

Have been staing here a few times already as going on a long journey with 2 children is exhausting. Great sleep, relax and fantastic breakfast in the morning. Very clean and very polite reception. Very much recommending!

Closed to the airport

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is closed to the airport, 16 euro by taxi. Comfortable beds, kettle in the room. No mini-bar in the standart room and the dust on the TV surface. The price vas very good, breackfast included. You can get to the city centre by U-bahn (12 minutes).

Good Hotel, Easy access to City.

Friendly staff, nice quiet hotel, right near the U-bahn for travelling into the city and beyond.
The room facilities were great, nice shower/bathroom, comfy bed and good lighting.

Either drive or take a cab from the airport.

I would definitely stay here again, highly recommend! :D

Holiday Inn Express Dortmund is conveniently located, the rooms we had were spacious and clean, the hotel was quiet, the breakfast buffet was quite adequate, the staff was accommodating.

Good location for airport . Helpful staff - map of area would be useful as found a lovely traditional bistro 15 minute walk away. Be good to have this available before setting out. Considering acsessabily to services.

Clean and comfy with good price

The room was fair, the kids slept i a fold out sofa which was a bit too hard but the main bed was very comfy if a bit on the small side. Breakfast was good. Location okay

i am not very happy with my stay i always choose holiday inn because i like the clean modern look i was happy with the day staff but the girl that was on nights was very anti english and anything you ask for was a effort i will never stay there again even when my wife ask for any bread rolls for breakfast there is no more that was it i dont think i will be staying in the holiday inn after that situation

The hotel is very nicely situated close to the U47 line and so makes it easy to get into the town. It is a quiet location. All of the tatff are very friendly and the breakfast is very good. Ideal hotel and situation for short break.

all specified in reservation is not provided. The smallest double bed is considered a queen bed. The elevator was stuck many times and was not able to handle the traffic for a 3 story building

Holiday Inn Dortmund-location is ok if have a car

Hotel is somewhat isolated, however there is a u or s bahn stop very near. Hotel seems fairly new, however exterior is not very well upkept. Rooms were clean, however AC did not work.

Stopped over night in here whilst traveling across Europe back to the UK. Its cheap, clean and the breakfast was nice. It is situated in a business estate and im quite sure the majority of guests were on business. But if you need a comfy bed, a decent breakfast then this hotel offers great value.

Pga af meget sen ankomst ville vi orienterer hotellet, men det var umuligt at komme igennem på telefonen.
