Second visit and this time an inner room as the street ones can get noisy with the cars racing round the inner ring. Good sized room with a sitting area with fridge and coffee machine and kettle. Replacement pods were lacking but free coffee available from the lobby. Shower good but needs a door as if your tall you soak the floor plus for the slight mobility challenged a handle next to the toilet or a ledge would be good as using the toilet roll holder for leverage is not great. Did not have breakfast this time but last year we did and the choice was good. Easy walking to the shops and local transport and good reasonably priced underground parking available. Cost about €60 for our 5 day stay. (4 nights). Staff friendly.

Handy for the station and acceptable on most count

Chosen mainly due to the location to the train station, the majority of things were satisfactory. A pleasant welcome, good-sized room, comfortable bed, ample hanging space, fair -sized bathroom and good internet speed. Disappointed at the lack of a hospitality tray and lack of control over A/C. Fitness room only has free weights and no machines so I ended up using the stairwell for my exercise. Breakfast buffet was good and check out was not a problem. Price was also quite fair.

The reception is modern and staff are excellent. The corridors are dated. The room we had was a suite which was spacious but there were stains and rips on the curtains and stains on the armchair. The advert mentions premium bedding but the bed wasnt comfortable as it was hard and the pillows were lumpy. It is a good location as its right next to the city and train station so its well connected but the road is very busy snd can be heard from the room.

The location of this hotel is excellent…right next to train station. Staff was helpful and breakfast was good. Room was comfortable. I took away one star because hotel listing says they have a gym. The do NOT have a gym. They have some dumbbells and yoga mats in a tiny corner of the sauna and the space does not open until 3pm.

The room itself was comfortable, large with separate seating area and good desk and workspace, and suited me well for a 4 day work trip. Whilst there is a tea and coffee station at reception, no kettle or cups provided in the room, which irritates me. I dont want to have to get dressed and go downstairs for a hot drink first thing in the morning. Everything else provided was bare minimum basics. The room was generally clean, but the arm of the sofa, where it met the seat back was literally thick with dust.
Breakfast was basic but ok - no other options better nearby though.

The hotel is very close to the mainline station, 2 or 3 minutes walk, easy to find. Reception was very good despite late arrival , even brought me a hot drink to the room.
Very spacious room, bathroom excellent.
It would have been good to have tea/coffee facility but overall an excellent hote.

Stayed for one night in transit during travel. The room lacked some badic amenities like shower gel and dental kit like advertised. Ipon request the dental kit was provided but no shower gel as they had run out. The unternet was a bit slow and i had to pay the extra 10 euro charge for fast internet. The problem is after activating on one device i was not able to activate on the other devices that were already connected to the free internet. This was a problem as my laptop was one of these devices. The rainfall shower had very low water pressure and was as good as useless.

Family trip for Borussia Dortmund game

Good central location next to the train station. Stayed as we were in Dortmund to attend a football match at Signal Iduna Park. It is walkable to the football stadium but as we had my young son we got a taxi. It was around €10 each way. Hotel room was spacious (3 of us in a family room) clean and in good condition and quite modern. No drink facilities in the room (tea/coffee) so a bit of a let down. Didn’t have breakfast as it was around €24 per person so quite expensive. Hotel very central for exploring Dortmund also. If visiting again would come back.

Would have been a pleasant stay if not for the following:
1. Lack of ac - stuffy despite being turned on
2. Lack of coffee cups, kettle, bath towels and bedroom slippers
3. Lack of courtesy to inform guests personally of the total water disruption for few hours

Having said that room size is decent and location is great as it’s next to metro and city centre trains to different parts of Germany

The spa was out of use and not working on the 17/12/2018. There was know gym just a running machine, standard poor and very disappointed. The reason I booked with my partner was to use the spa. The toilet in our suite was very smelly and needed cleaning with bleach, Location was excellent and good for Christmas market. Room was not ready upon arrival had to wait 3 hours, not happy.

We stayed at the NH in Dortmund for a Christmas Market and shopping weekend trip and were delighted with the hotel.
It was conveniently located within a few minutes walk to the town centre, markets and main station. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and the rooms and facilities were exceptionally clean.
The breakfast was amazing and great value for money too.
The only thing that would have been better would be for tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Perfect location + popular hotel. Minor negatives: connected bar/restaurant closed during some of the days of my stay. Room phone not working and not fixed while I was staying there. Mini-bar not re-stocked. Some wear-and-tear issues, e.g. broken wall tile needed attention. Small things are can be fixed easily, but if overlooked can get worse quickly (and expensive to fix).

I tend to stay at the NH hotel in Dortmund when I am visiting a particular customer and was pleased to be provided with an updated room. I believe all rooms have undergone refurbishment.
The rooms are spacious and there is plenty of room so you can work at a desk in a different part of the room to the bedroom.
The location is very handy- next to the train station and 5 minutes from the main shopping area.
I found my room to be very comfortable, but not as clean as usual.
The floor was very dusty and bathroom not spotlessly clean as is the norm in German hotels.
Breakfast is also very expensive for what is provided.
However for a one night stay on business it ticked most boxes.

But slow Free wi-fi for guests and really bad sound isolation - if the room is to the train station you will hear the trains and call out, and you hear EVERYTHING happening in the corridor. The room itself was spacy and nice! Breakfast is pretty good, but I didn’t find any hot porridge.

The air conditioning did not work on a very hot day. I asked the front desk about it and was informed that the AC's are not working well in the entire property so there is little they can do to fix the issue. The lobby was torn up with ongoing construction. This should have been mentioned at the time of reserving the rooms because it was very noisy at the hotel. I have rarely been this disappointed during a hotel stay. Once home from this trip, I will ask Orbitz to refund my payment for this stay. Very disappointed!!
