This is our third time booking with a JR-East Hotels and they're always so convenient since it's literally connected or adjacent to the JR station! The staff here were amazing - so accommodating, nice, and very responsive over the hotels.com messaging portal. They truly went above and beyond to help us with pre-scheduled luggage shipment from Narita Airport when we were stuck in a Sapporo snowstorm. We booked the double room and it was small but just enough space for two people and two check in luggage. Great location in a quiet area of Mejiro and very convenient to get to Ikkebukuro and Shibuya/Shinjuku. We're so grateful to the staff and we'd definitely stay here again for our next Tokyo trip in the future!

Fantastic stay because its just infront of Mejiro station, yet just 3 stops to shinjuku, 6 stops to shibuya. Love that its not a crowded station, so we are near the popular spots but still get to enjoy the peace & quiet when coming back to hotel after a long day. Highly recommended :)

Guests might want to consider packing lightly or planning their laundry around peak usage hours. The hotel's proximity to the JR line and its quiet location were major advantages. A nearby food truck offered affordable dining options on weekdays, and the Starbucks just downstairs that provided a convenient spot for coffee. The hotel's daily provision of bottled water was a thoughtful touch.

Amazing staff and hotel

Amazing Hotel and staff. I can’t say enough good things. The location is the best because you are right above the train station. You can’t hear it. There’s no disturbance whatsoever. The benefit is you only have to walk 10 m to get into the station making this, hidden gem of a location in Tokyo. You’re very close to transferring to the major stations and can get anywhere quickly. And again the staff here is so lovely. Even without any Japanese language skills they’ve made my stay so great and treated me like family. Visiting from Detroit and I will definitely be back.

This hotel is perfect. I can’t say enough great things about the staff. The location is amazing right above the train station. It’s so convenient because you only have to walk outside 10 m to get into the station which takes you directly to Shibuya and Shinjuku. You can get to Shibuya and Shinjuku so quickly because you are right at a direct line to there. This location is really fantastic and again the staff is so lovely. As an English only speaker they took great care of me. I stayed six nights as a tourist.

The best hotel in Mejiro, Tokyo

When we visit Japan, we always stay at Mets Mejiro. Very convenient location to Mejiro station, drug stores, now they have an excellent Isetan food court within 3 minutes walk from hotel. Hotel employees are very friendly and professional. We will stay at Mets Mejiro again!!

A great place to stay!

Arrived very early but able to leave bags for the day. One of the staff assisted me with setting up my travel sim as the english instructions weren't working and the japanese instructions looked different. She was extremely helpful and I was very grateful for the time she took to assist me. The room, while small, was laid out in such a manner that it didn't feel as small and was sufficiently comfortable for 3 adults with large suitcases. It was right next to the station making it very convenient for days out and plenty of food options nearby. We did not experience any noise concerns which is often a worry that close to a train line. We would book again.

Our Oasis In Tokyo

My secret go-to spot in Tokyo, Mejiro is a quiet oasis in the middle of Tokyo and I love being able to walk on to the Yamanote sen and be anywhere in seconds. The Mets is cheerful and user-friendly and we’ve always found the staff ready to help. Love it. We’re going to stay in the same hotel in Koenji later this week!

Hidden Gem with Easy access to the best of Tokyo

This hotel is one of Tokyo's best kept secrets. It is near the Yamamoto line which can take you anywhere in Tokyo or provide an Easy train change the staff is friendly and helpful to English speakers. The hotel has many amenities and the Starbucks next door is wonderful when you need a morning coffee to recover from jet lag.

Right next to Mejiro Station(JR Yamanote). I believe this hotel just got renovated not long ago, they provided everything I need such as 24 hour front desk, baggage storage, room cleaning with new bottle of water, laundry&dryer machine, free ice machine, Keycard system in elevator for each floor, ect. Front desk was polite and helpful. Starbuck inside of hotel. close to Familymart, 7-11, and Trad shopping center.

I like Mejiro neighborhood, not too crowded nor too quiet. There are many nice local and chain restaurants to eat, stores for cosmetic, skincare, and snack shopping with tax free.

The only downside is toilet, which is really small and uncomfortable to use.

JR hotel so you know it is right close to the railway line. The Yamanote line is very convenient for travelling around Tokyo. The room was above average size for the Tokyo area and all the amenities were clean and modern. Great value room. Basic shops and eating places within easy walking distances.

Loved the location (especially in the winter) since it’s right next to the train stop. It’s also on the JR Yamanote Line so it’s easy to get around the hot tourist spots in Tokyo. I thought the breakfast was fine, husband loooved it. Everything feels pretty new and clean. The staff at the front desk and also in the restaurant were super friendly and spoke great English. Housekeeping accidentally dropped and broke my hairbrush in the bathroom and the staff went out of their way to replace it for me, and also left notes with apologies and explanations. That was super sweet and kind of them, and I truly appreciate this effort since it was probably my fault anyway. Thank you for a lovely stay!!! We would love to return when we are in Tokyo.

Staff were really friendly.
room was spotlessly clean, but tiny and no room to unpack your bag or put any clothes anywhere.
Location is great, right next to station.
The coffee bags are awful and so is the breakfast.
The breakfast has nice coffee, but no food for vegetarians or a western palate.
The breakfast is aimed at locals not tourists.
The area is quiet, not much around.

A budget business hotel conveniently located

Very convenient location. Clean and tidy rooms with a good breakfast spread. The daily housekeeping is efficient. Would recommend this to friends looking for a quite, economical place to stay close to the JR Yamanote line. The free bath amenities are a plus point.

Air conditioning temperature was centrally controlled and this is the only area where I am deducting points. Would have like a more responsive air conditioner that is not centrally controlled.

It was a decent hotel overall. It was close to the JR train station (if you want to take the other lines you would need to go Ikebukuro which is a 15 minute walk). Room was clean and small and hotel staff was friendly.

Good affordable place to stay in Tokyo

Hotel Mets in Mejiro is a place I actually come back and stay. It’s affordable and quiet and the location is central enough to get places quickly and quiet enough to not be a confusing train station. The staff is friendly, the rooms have always been clean and some of the larger rooms I’ve seen in Japan.

Hotel is very convenient. It is directly next to Mejiro station. Few stops away from Shinjuku and Ikebukuro. Hotel is new and bed is very comfortable. I have daily buffet, breakfast is quite standard and same throughout my 3 nights.

Great Location next door to Mejiro Sta on Yamanote

If you don’t want to stay in the mix but want to get get there quickly this is the place for you. Great location next to the Mejiro Station along the Yamanote line. And I mean right next to. Just south of Ikebukuro and a few stops north of Shinjuku so easy access to the major tourist spots. Friendly staff. Typically small Japanese hotel room with mini fridge, fancy toilet, deep tub, and plentiful hot water. Our room overlooked the train tracks and we barely heard a rumble. Amenities bar in lobby with toiletries including 9 different bath salts. Quiet neighborhood next to a university. Not many touristy thing to do but plenty of local restaurants, small shops, and convenience stores within a few blocks. The front desk has a map of the area in English.
Our room came with a breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant. They served a Japanese breakfast with rice, miso, fish, salads, and pickled veggies along with Western offerings of scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and pastries. Drinks included juice, coffee and tea (both hot and cold).
Overall we loved the sense of calm in a quiet neighborhood where we felt a part of Japan and could recharge before heading out to the hustle and bustle of the higher traffic areas of Tokyo.

Wonderful hotel! Has great location as just round the corner of train station - do not have far to walk after a long day. Hotel have a coin laundry facility including a dryer which you can do your washing. This is great! Great breakfast too!! Would definitely come back to this hotel again : ). Enjoy!

Comfort in Mejiro, Tokyo

Hotel was conveniently located adjacent the train station on the Yamanote line between Ikebukuro and Shinjuku which made commuting so easy. Hotels nterior and exterior appeared clean and newly refurbished or renovated. Ammenities were wonderful (a/c, bidet toilet, flat screen tv, refrig, etc). Our booking included breakfast which worked out just fine.
Employees throughout the hotel were very nice, professional, and helpful.

Hotel Mets Mejiro is in a super convenient location, just steps away from the Mejiro Station exit (JR Yamanote Loop) and a few stations away from Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku and Ikebukuro. Another plus is that it is in a quiet district, away from the madness of the busier stations. There are nearby 7/11s, Family Mart, and Natural Lawsons. The room was a bit dated and small for 2 people, plus 2 rolling carryons. But toilet seats were heated and i loved the bidet! 😊 Breakfast is included in the rate, but menu did not change the 3 nights we were there. I would stay there again.
