Good location near Ikebukuro Station. Property has eco-friendly intiative and rooms are cleaned every 3rd day. Towels changed daily via plstic bag delivered to door. Double twin room was more spacious than typical Tokyo hotels although we found the lighting to be too dim. Elevators were so dark you need your cell phone light to read the posters! Compact but pretty lobby has usual amenities like toothbrush, toothpaste, face oil, cream, lotion, swabs, bath salts, razor, cotton etc. Stay included buffet breakfast with limited but varied offering of scrambled eggs, sausage, fish, rice, miso soup, salads, cakes, oranges, coffee, tea and breakfast wine (!). Lawson & Family Mart just next door and Sunshine City across the street, Sunshine Street shops a few blocks away. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Recommend!

Good location (1min walk to Higashi-Ikebukuro station & 7min walk to Ikebukuro station). 5mins to shops and restaurants (towards Ikebukuro station). We arrived via an airport limousine bus from HND airport and had to walk 10mins from Sunshine City Prince Hotel. The rooms are slightly larger than similarly priced hotels in Tokyo and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was fine, although the menu did not change the 2 days we were there.

I have stayed at a Resol hotel in Kyoto previously and that was an excellent experience! So I came in expecting a clean room and comfortable bed. Unfortunately I was quite shocked by the overall condition of the room. Stains on the walls, bathroom smelt strongly of urine, tap not functioning properly and some of the amenities (USB charger) were broken.

I informed the staff of these issues the next day and asked whether they could please send someone to thoroughly clean the bathroom (housekeeping offered every 4 days!). They were very apologetic and moved me to a different room which I'm incredibly thankful for.

I decided to cut my stay here short. There's also no laundry room (the only hotel I've stayed in Japan to not offer this!). Overall my stay was ok... But I've stayed in much more cleaner/comfortable hotels at the same price point hence my dissapointment.

I think the hotel is need of refurbishment.

Just like my stay last year, Hotel Resol Ikebukuro went above and beyond to make my stay great! The location may be a bit away from the station, but that also meant the area is pretty quiet. The easy access to Sunshine City is also awesome! The rooms were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. If you’re a foreign traveler, definitely give this hotel a try!

This is my second time staying at this hotel. It's clear that the condition has deteriorated noticeably over the past two years. The mattress has a visible sag on the side facing the TV. Complimentary water is not provided daily. Additionally, the elevator used to require a room key card to access the floors, which offered a sense of privacy and security. Now, anyone can use the elevator without restriction (only a warning sign sticks on the buttons).

It was a pleasant time to stay at the hotel. They were kind and accommodating and were always ready to help. The only gripe is it’s a ten minute walk to the JR Station but it’s also a five minute walk to Sunshine City so it’s not far from stores, food, or convenience stores.

From the start when I checked in, the staffs were very polite and I felt welcome. I was using the ladies floor so in the room there was a curling iron ready to use! For me personally the room is the perfect size for 1 person. I stayed for 12 days so, they do clean every 4 days but changed towels and stuff for you every day. Breakfast options are also good. The location is very convenient for me as I love to walks around sunshine city and there also Yurakucho line station walking from the hotel maybe 2 mins and Ikebukuro station maybe 7 mins. I would love to come back and stay at this hotel for next time!

This was my second time staying at this hotel. Like last time, and the reason why I stayed here again, the staff was really friendly and helpful, and the area is relatively quiet and well connected (Higashi-Ikebukuro station is right around the corner).

This time, though, I was really disappointed with the cleanliness. My room was dusty and looked quite run-down upon closer inspection, and there were stains all over the room (bathroom, near the window and the AC) that looked like mold. Not very great to stay in even if it was only for three nights.

1.執房後放在行李箱上的個人衣服全部掉在地上。
另外原本放在床上的個人吹氣枕頭被直接掉在垃圾桶旁邊的地上。
2.在床頭發現小昆蟲。
3.房間的燈光很暗。
4.我們是尾房，剛好對著是隔壁大廈的樓梯，第一天起身打開窗簾就和一個女人對著眼😬所以整個住宿期間也不能打開窗簾。

好：
1.酒店樓下行前幾步就是便利店。
2.酒店對面有大半夜還在營業的松屋。
3.去激安不用十分鐘。

Room comfortable, tidy, and located in a convenient area. Very easy to find, even for inexperienced travellers. I love that Hotel Resol Ikebukuro was affordable when I booked it and it exceeded my expectations. Staff friendly and they tried their best to help when I had questions. It was also very convenient to have their breakfast as there was a great selection and it was tasty! Made for a good start to my days when I stayed there. There are many perks to this property and I believe other travellers mentioned the complimentary water bottle, which is a nice touch. The only thing I had some issues with is the wifi. It might have just been spotty in my room, but otherwise if you have E Sim or roaming to use when it’s spotty, then you’re fine.

I thought that I would spend more time in the busy districts but actually spend a good few days just exploring the Ikebukuro area as there was lots to see around the hotel! (Or if you like to eat a 7-11s there is one steps away.) Would definitely recommend for anyone considering visiting Tokyo for the first time.

The staff was incredible, very kind and open to communicate in english even if they had to use the translator too. They even called a taxi to the airport for me, which was a huge help! My First Taste Of Japan

This was my first time traveling to Japan and this was the perfect hotel for me to stay in while there. The room was big enough and had everything I could have wanted in it. Everything was always very clean even though they only came in to clean every 4 days, and every day they would supply you with a change of towels, water, tea/coffee and night clothes if you chose to wear them.

The bed itself was just big enough for me and while it was pretty stiff, I feel like I slept well on it, often feeling refreshed the next morning.

The laundry service they had was also quite nice as you could fill up a bag fora price and get the clothes back the next day. For such a long stay that came in handy. The people working at the hotel were all very friendly and even when there was a language barrier, we were able to communicate with the help of google translate which is great!
The location of the hotel is also nice because it is pretty quiet there. It was also nice having a Lawson’s right next door to grab snacks whenever I needed them.

All in all, I would definitely recommend travelers to stay there, especially if you’re from overseas. If I decide to stay in Ikebukuro again, I will definitely try to stay there again!

Perfect for this solo traveler. The room was small but cozy, I got the single bed room but that’s fine with me. Room was quiet and clean. Safe friendly and helpful. Cleaning only happens every 4th day but they cleaned mine on the 3rd. Towels refreshed every day. The Sunshine city mall is super close. Tons to do in this area. 7/11 and Lawson are right next to the hotel, restaurants down the street are great. Walking back to the hotel every night was fine, a few people out. There is an entrance to the subway a couple of minutes away. Would stay at again if I’m back in Tokyo.

Super nice and helpful staff. They helped me send some of my bags to Osaka ahead of me. My room was perfect for one person. It was in a great location with a lot of restaurants nearby and it was a good walkable distance ikebukuro station, a subway station, and Donki.

Fantastic hotel! It is located near IKEBUKURO, the chic shopping area and easy to go to everywhere wuth subway lines. The place is really quiet and not noisy at all. The room is clean and neat and its size is pretty okay for solo traveller. It also provides the bathtube for relaxing. Moreover, the staff are kind and help me alot. They always tried to communicate with me, even I don't understand Japanese at all. Love this hotel.

My stay at Hotel Resol Ikebukuro was excellent! The room was actually spacious. Loved the bathroom amenities that we could pick up from the lobby. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Our flight was at night, but the hotel allowed us to store our luggage even after checkout. Very convenient area - close to a Lawson/7-11, and 10 minute walk to the train station. I would stay at this hotel again!

Very good for the price. First-time travellers to Japan might be surprised at how small the room is, but this is normal. Decent breakfast was included -- the usual mix of Japanese and Western style. Location is a 5-10 minute walk to Ikebukuro station, one of the main train stations in Tokyo. Great for business trips, couples and small families. Staff were friendly and efficient. I speak a bit of Japanese, so I'm not sure how good their English is, but probably good enough for simple directions etc. Highly recommended.

Very comfy and quiet hotel in Ikebukuro. The bed has a built in bench attached and the lighting in the room is very fun. The hotel is very generous with free tea, lotions, and basic toiletries so don’t worry if you forgot to bring something.

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Ikebukuro station, not bad for a quick overnight on business. It was surprisingly quiet considering the neighbourhood. Check-in and check-out were smooth and easy and the room was fine. The hotel is in good condition and very clean.

Nice and quiet stay in a lively area of Ikebukuro

Great location a short walk from the JR line. It can be far with lots of luggage but it was worth it. Around the corner from trendy cafes and restaurants and about 5 mins from Otome Road. Big shopping stores nearby. Hotel itself had a nice lobby, secure elevators, clean and quiet rooms. We liked the bonus toiletries provided like the bath tablet for a nice relaxing soak after a day of walking. Room is quite tight but will stay again.

I was expecting a budget stay, but the hotel was surprisingly beautiful - minimalist yet everything you need. Bottle of water each day you forgo full cleaning service was nice. Your typical 1/1 hotel room in Japan. The hotel was quiet and the soundproofing seemed to be impeccable. I loved staying here. It was a bit further than I would have liked to Animate + Lashinbang, a bit under 10 minutes from Ikebukuro JR. But closer to Sunshine City. 7-11 two doors down, very convenient. Wi-Fi was super fast!

A good hotel at good location where close to shopping mail. The Room is clean and comfortable and have bathtub for dipping bath. In room massage service is provided. The internet connection is good and free wifi provided, the speed is fast enough. The breakfast buffet is abundant, but a little bit expensive which cost 1000 Yen. Staff can speak fluent English.

I was travelling alone in Tokyo and this hotel is located near to Ikebukuro station. Just take about less 10 mins if I stroll back. Around the hotel have quite alot of restaurant and shopping too.

Hotel room is clean and comfortable. I love the bath tub and the hotel will provide the aroma bath soak too.

Quiet location with privacy yet walkable to nearby major bustling train station. Supermarket, convenience stores within walking distance, not to mention the many malls located near the train station. Single room for one with small double bed is quite large compared to other hotels and is well designed.
