Room is very clean. Dining area is very clean too. Lots of free amenities. Stayed for a week and loved it. Hotel smelled good the whole time. Bathroom was clean as well. Very friendly and attentive staff. Easy got get in and out using hotel card. Very cozy and comfortable bed and comforters. Can use airplay in TV.

Staff are very efficient and courteous. The lounge area is nice with complimentary drinks. Room is small which is a normal norm, I found a disposable sleeper under the bed though, so i don’t know how their cleaning staff miss that when they cleaned our room before we check in. Otherwise I am happy to stay again.

Could’ve been better.

Positives:
- Bed and pillows were very comfy and the double bed was worth it.
- Drink bar was convenient and had good options.
- 5 minute walk to Sunshine City Mall which also serves as an airport bus stop.

Negatives:
- It’s advertised as a 10 minute walk from Ikebukuro Station but is inaccurate. The station is very large and getting in and out of it can be confusing, adding 5-10 minutes of extra travel time. Can be tiring after a long day out.
- Room had visible stains on walls and floor, and was very dusty in certain spots, such as behind the TV and behind the bed.
- Odd sewage smell that came from the sink.
- Size was above average for a room in Tokyo, but could really use at least another table or chair to place things on.
- AC is only available in summer and heater is only available in winter. I came in April, and there were a couple of warmer nights where being able to use the AC would’ve been nice.

It has a first floor lounge area with food vending machines and free coffee/soft drink that was very useful and comfortable. They have a washing machine and dryer and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Lots of umbrellas to borrow and the staff were very kind and helpful. Might be hard to find at first but as long as you follow Google Maps, it will be fine. Once you get to a little pedestrian tunnel (as another reviewer mentioned) you’re almost there. It is reasonable walking distance to the JR station where there is a shopping centre, with Don quijote and pharmacies nearby. In terms of food, you can find a bunch near the JR station, or there are a couple McDonald’s in between the hotel and the station. Also 2 7-11s nearby.

If you don’t want to venture out, the hotel has vending machines with food in it (don’t know if it’s good though).

It was abit hard to find the hotel initially. Didn't look like Google map photo...We didn't know there was another entrance for luggages and had to carry them down a flight of stairs to check in. Room is clean but it is tight space. If anyone is over 5'11, don't recommend you to stay here. Otherwise, it is a great place to stay for its value. It's right around the corner from a 7-11 and about 10mins walk to Ikebukuro station.

房間雖小，但是很舒適，大堂有DHC的護膚品全套，包括洗臉油，乳液，爽膚水，日霜，防曬，也有body lotion, leg lotion, peeling, comb, 棉棒，棉花.....也有茶和咖啡供應，如果不用執房，可以去大堂取樽裝免費水或茶。大堂職員服務非常好，只是女的比較不懂英文。房間有即棄拖鞋和皮拖鞋各一，有風筒和洗漱用品，也有一條晾衣服的繩。酒店會在10月份至12月中裝修，另一間（select)酒店會在10月開張，相距一個街口位置。大堂在B1,要走幾級樓梯，如果1樓餐廳開門，可以從一樓乘坐電梯。

We loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Yes, the rooms are small but if you don't want small rooms, don't go to Tokyo. The beds are comfortable and the plumbing is great - strong water pressure in the shower and very hot water. The hotel is surprisingly quiet given how busy the surrounding area is. Yes, the entrance to the lobby requires going down stairs, but there is a side first floor entrance they can open for getting your heavy luggage in and out. One thing to note: if you book adjoining rooms for 4 people, it is two separate rooms next to each other. The advantage of this is 2 bathrooms and not 1. The potential disadvantage is depending on the age of your kids, you might have to put one parent and one kid in each room as they are not connected to each other. They are, however, next door. The breakfast is a mix of Japanese and Western items. We all found something to eat. Ikebukuro station is super convenient for multiple train lines and we really liked the neighborhood. Highly recommended.

Good points:
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the cleaning service was quick and very punctual. Our beds were made for us, bins emptied, fresh towels and cups were always given to us. There are many necessities that the Hotel gives for free at the reception, which were excellent quality and very useful. The shower was very powerful and pleasing to use. The Hotel is also located very near major shops in Ikebukuro.

Bad points:
The room was way too small for three people. The bathroom was also extremely small and can be awkward to move around, especially for a tall person. The bunk bed was old and very noisy and distracting. The WiFi was absolutely terrible and barely usable at best. On hot days, the room can be unbearable to stay in.

Overall, it was a decent place to stay. If you want somewhere cheap and a place to just sleep and wash, then maybe this is a place for you.

They have \"freebies\" such as face toners, cleansers, leg gel, etc. located in the lobby. We stayed for 8 nights, so we got a free breakfast coupon; it was a surprisingly delicious onigiri buffet, although there were \"western\" options such as bread and cereal too. You can also choose to opt in for breakfast, which costs around $10-12.

This is my second time staying in this hotel, and the staff have always been polite and pleasant. Location of the hotel is great too. I'll always recommend it!

The expectation of hotel presentation, breakfast, quality of room for price i paid was very disappointing. Not a hotel for family staying long term. No laundry facilities which was a 15min walk, fine dining was NOT fine dining marketing on property was not of current hotel but of another, it was the same breakfast was not stocked and constantly had to ask to refill product. We understood japan tight fit so price should reflect that. I will be posting pictures and other comments regarding this hotel. Stayed in many hostels, hotels around Japan this was far the worse and the most expensive and will not recommend to friends and family. Staff were friendly.

Third time staying here!

The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is friendly and willing to help. I like the variety of amenities offered and the fact that it has a restaurant on the first floor! It is close to the Ikebukuro train station, malls (Sunshine City) and department stores (Seibu and Parco). Stayed here in the spring of 2017 then came back again for two different stays in fall 2018. Really good value for your money!!!

Despite average communicative English, the staff members are all very friendly and willing to help esp Watanabe san! I requested for a softer pillow and a blanket, he came up to me right away. The hotel provides free coffee and personal care amenities eg mouthwash, lotion etc. In addition to super convenient location with an airport limousine stop at Sunshine City Prince Hotel (5 min walk to hotel), I have no hesitation to come back to this hotel when I go to Tokyo again.

A nice cosy hotel close to everything in Ikebukuro

We stayed at Hotel Wing for two weeks, and also paid for breakfast each day at the time of booking. The staff were super warm and friendlyl, they spoke quite good English (which we weren't expecting and it was helpful, even though it shouldn't be necessary).
The service was amazing: it felt like a home away from home, which we were truly happy to come back to when we did day trips (and two nights overnight elsewhere as we used Hotel Wing as our base).
Both the European and Japanese breakfasts were lovely. The European is very much a Japanese take on a continental breakfast but that made it all the more fun.
Room cleaning – and the ability to opt-out of it for up to two days, with the hotel paying you back in free drinks when you leave your room – was both fastidious but also stayed out of the way of our personal items and numerous purchases.
There are a wide range of beauty products available for free in the foyer, including various body moisturisers, cleansers, face masks etc, which is a wonderful bonus. There's also a soaking tub and shower in the rooms, which can be a lovely thing at the end of a day walking all over Tokyo or on day trips.
The location is great – it's about 10 minutes walk from Ikebukuro station, via Sunshine-60-dori (which is a great shopping strip) and has some great cafes, restaurants, convenience stores and also a lovely sushi restaurant just next door.
Can highly recommend, one of us has already booked in for their next trip!

The location of the hotel is good. It is around a 5 minute walk from all the main area of Ikebukuro. 10 minutes from the station, which is on all the major lines to get around the city, and also connecting to HND airport.
The room is small, as mentioned on other comments, but it is in tokyo and also in a great location so it is to be expected.
The continental western breakfast is a little strange but paletable.
Staff were really helpful and they spoke to a good standard ofor English. There is a counter in the lobby for free tea and coffee and also complementary goods, for example creams and face masks etc.
I would definitely stop at the hotel again as it was great value for what is one of the most expensive cities in the world.

Place was a little far from Ikebukuro station. If you get tired easily while walking, this may not be the best place, but there are a lot of shops you can pop in on the way to get a little rest.

Hotel room and bathroom was very clean when we arrived and kept clean throughout our 5-night stay. Rooms are small though, but to be expected. Moving around will be a little difficult if you share a room with someone.

There are a number of small, yet charming, restaurants nearby as well as 7-Eleven for breakfast options and international ATM withdrawal. Sunshine City, Animate, and other known shopping options in the area are close by. During our stay, there was a nearby park with a cosplay event so that was a good experience.

Front desk has limited english, but did their best to help us when we needed information. Using hand gestures and a double-sided map (english and japanese side) definitely help.

Overall, a decent place to stay especially if you want to allocate more of your budget to shopping and food. Would definitely consider staying here again in future trips to Tokyo

Our first night was okey, the 2nd night we're not able to sleep because of noises on the ongoing construction outside. Rooms not sound proof. Receptionist tried hard to communicate with us even uses google translate for us to understand her. The room was small and toilet not that clean compared to the other 2 hotels we stayed in Tokyo. We liked the skin care products offered to the customer and the free water/tea/coffee in the lobby. We badly needed that after walking with our heavy luggages. The location is near to Sunshine City.

This was a nice hotel with lots of little extras in the foyer for your stay. It is quite close to the station, an exciting walk there so made it easy to get around Tokyo. This was the smallest room on our trip, but i guess you have to expect that in a city like Tokyo, once you see how many people there are there! We were comfortable and happy there.

It was posted in expedia that the hotel has buffet breakfast, but when we arrived it was only plated meals.
Expedia offered to reimbursed additional breakfast if we decide t add, but their where no options available in the hotel.

Hotel is 5-8 min walk from train station - good location. A little hard to find first time, staff is nice and helpfull. Breakfast (3 choices) was supersalty ( except a cereal choice) and not very good. Hotel room is very small - there is a 3 ft x 3 ft space by the entrance door and about 2 ft floor space around 2 sides of the bed. THAT is it. Seems like US jail cells are rommier. Shower was hard to move in for 6 ft 200 lb me. If you are taller or bigger - it would be very very hard to move in there. Some floors are smoking and elevators sometimes are full of smoke. Inside the shower stall are some mold spots.

Rooms are small. Minimal room for luggage, so you'll need to be prepared to close up your suitcases when you are done getting what you need or be prepared to climb over them.

Breakfast is good (with options between cereal & yogurt, 'European' (egg, salad, mini hot dogs, toast) and 'Japanese').

If you open the window, it can be VERY noisy - vehicles driving by, sirens, etc. You may need to ask the front desk to turn on your room's air conditioning (which you can then control from your room's thermostat).

Valuable stay for short solo trip

One of the trainees in the lobby desk was especially helpful in a way that he helped us check the highway bus information when we could not read japanese. The room is very tiny but clean. The breakfast is nice and but finish a bit early at 9am. The hotel is not too close to ikebukuro station so it wont be too much noise at night

Temperature issue

We stayed in early April, and as per sign posted the hotel controls the AC/heat. if it is too warm we can \"open the window\". It was 29c/85f both nights when we returned to our room.
Other than that no complaints, the staff was friendly and the accommodations met expectations.

Small Rooms, Big on service

The staff are the asset of this hotel. They are so accommodating and helpful. Though the room is so small as expected for many of Tokyo's hotels, the personnel made up for such defficiency. They even let me call two overseas calls free of charge.

Clean hotel and good price

Good hotel but a little bit far from the train station to make it easy to get to tourist locations in Tokyo. Good price for what it was, breakfast was reasonable and European style available. Room was tiny but expected that for Tokyo.

Bathroom need some refurbishment

Hotel is not far from nekobukuro & sunshine city though it's a little bit walk to ikebukuro station..Near to family mart & 7-11..The hotel lobby seem to be nice, neat & clean..Room are not too bad however the bathroom need some refurbishment..The bathroom stink a little & we need to keep the window open so air can circulate..Don't like the fact that we cannot adjust our room aircond..And the WiFi connection are really slow..Really weird for Japanese hotel & this hotel is the worst amongst 6 hotels we had stayed in Japan..

Small but great location

We stayed here for four nights during our trip. It's in a great location, near many great places in Ikebukuro. The staff was very polite and nice, its worth noting this is one of the hotels where you turn in your key every time you leave, so you'll be seeing a lot of them. The room was small, average for most Tokyo hotels, but clean and modern looking with a large bed. We enjoyed our stay here.

Nice room and staff, bad pillow,

Nice friendly staff, good clean hotel and good value with decent breakfast selection included. The pillow was quite stiff and uncomfortable, I substituted with rolled up sheets.

Nice hotel in a great location.

Quiet, comfortable room, friendly staff, and great location in Ikebukuro. It's a bit of a walk from the nearest station, but it's definitely manageable as long as your luggage has wheels.

Would definitely stay here again.

Location is a bit far from JR train station.

Not suitable for family traveling with kids n baggage as u need to walk quite a distance to reach local train station from the hotel.
Room for family only can accommodate up to 3 pax but not 4.
Suitable for single or couples.
Lots of eatery around the hotel closer toward the train station.

Nice, clean hotel

Room cleaned everyday, less than 10 minute walk from the train station. 7/11 just outside the hotel. A little noisy from being close to the hospital with sirens, excellent position for tourists. Microwave on 5th floor and small fridge included in room.

This hotel was sort of convenient close enough to ikebukuro train station (10-15 min walk ) . Located close to many shops and restaurants . Room was a bit small but already expected it from traveling to other destinations like Hong Kong . Over all quiet hotel away from main area but close enough

Small but clean

The hotel is a 10minute walk from the Ikebukuro train station. Good location with plenty of restaurants and shopping centres. The room is small but sufficient and very clean. Excellent service provided by hotel staff who can speak English. Highly recommended :)
