The Hotel Bellclassic foyer looks very classy, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Checking in went smoothly.
The hotel is located within walking distance of Otsuka station where you can catch the Yamanote line, making it very convenient for getting around.
The room was surprisingly spacious.
However the room did feel a little dated and it showed with various stains in the carpet and curtains.
It was also a little dusty in certain places.
Overall our stay was good but I think the room would benefit from a deep cleaning.

The hotel was very nice and just a couple of minutes from the station. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The many small details in the room such as the heated mirror so it doesn’t fog up made this stay a wonderful experience.

Excellent stay

The hotel is located very conveniently next to Otsuka Station and a shopping mall. Even better, it is one stop away from Ikebukuro. The quaint neighbourhood adds to the charm of this hotel. The building felt new, and the room is more comfortable than standard single rooms one can get at major interchanges such as Shinjuku and Tokyo Station. The service standard is good too. Overall, the hotel is great!

Very nice and good value

This is a great hotel for the price in Tokyo. It's right on the Yamanote Line, which goes to most major parts of the city, and is only one stop from Ikebukuro. The area around the hotel (Otsuka) is also a nice residential area and makes for a nice morning walk. Service is very good, and the room makes great use of its small space. Breakfast is good,with Western and Japanese options. Leaving the JR station, turn left at the gates, then right out of the station. Walk about one block.

I had a great experience at the Hotel Bellclassic. The staff were friendly and it was easy to communicate despite me not knowing Japanese.

The room had all necessary amenities and was reasonably sized for a Tokyo room - which is always going to be smaller than some other cities.

The buffet breakfast was good but nothing special.

This hotel is very conveniently located and I would highly recommend for anyway wanting to base themselves in Tokyo.

We booked a non-smoking room but upon check-in were told only smoking rooms were available. The hotel did try to do it's best to rectify the situation by providing air purifiers but it would've been nice to actually get what we reserved. Other than that, great location, great service, nice and clean. A+

Overall great, but poor wifi

Great service. Friendly staff. Fancy hotel and room. Good size for Tokyo standards. Seperate toilet and bathroom. Great location right next to Otsuka station. Lots of stores and restaurants around, and one train stop to a popular location such as Ikebukuro (can easily be walked too). Nice view.
Wifi was really slow and with periodic disruptions. Bed was too short. The air condition smelled like fish.

Fancy Hotel on the Yamanote Line

From the beginning to the end of my stay the staff was always friendly and energetic. The room was very cozy and had lots of cool machines and features.

I enjoyed my stay very much.

If I had one complaint it would be that the laundry serivce was a bit expensive, so I didn't use it.

Gorgeous room and great value

Solo travelers will love Hotel Bellclassic. The recently refurbished single rooms are gorgeous. Picture shrunken Westin. Toilet separated from bath/shower/sink. Full amenities. 2 minutes from JR Ohtsuka station so easy access to all parts of central Tokyo. Ohtsuka has a small town feel with plenty of eating options, a batting center, a stop on the last Tokyo streetcar line and was one of Tokyo's geisha districts in times past. Bellclassic offers terrific value and convenience.

Good location, 2 minutes walk from JR Otsuka Station. Great service from the front office when we needed to call a cell provider in Japan due to some problem. Staff probably don't speak too much english but I reckon they understand what you are saying. Room was comfy, amenities were complete, had a great soak in the bathtub albeit a tad too small (to be expected in Japan though). Overall great stay, would recommend anyone using JR Pass to stay there.

The room is small but everything is good. It is clean, comfortable and convenient. However, I was asked to return the key every time I leave the hotel.
I think if they can provide a room electric card key and no need to return it then it can be more convenient

A modern city hotel with Japanese management

Yes, in Tokyo you have lots of choices as far as accommodation is concerned, but finding one suited you may not be so easy. Most travelers will use the public transportation system to get around, so finding a hotel near a Metro station is preferable. I prefer hotel which has good service, good wifi connection, and good accessibility, BellClassic Hotel seems fitting my bill.
The hotel is only one minute walk to Otsuka JR station, Otsuka is only 10 minutes walk, or 1 Metro stop away to Ikebukuro. Buy a 750 Yen JR day pass, you can go anywhere in Tokyo. Direct airport connection available in Shinjuku and Nippori , both are on JR Yamanoto Line.
It is a large hotel with over 150 rooms, The hotel lobby is modern and bright, clean and spacious, the Japanese management look after the place well. They are efficient but strict! Most staffs do not speak English, they do not allow check in before 2 pm, I arrive at 1.30 pm and was made to sit in the lobby and wait. The hotel are mainly geared for local businessmen, and there are conference to be held daily. If you want to be away from your noisy fellow foreign tourists, this is the place for you.
The room size is average, but everything from good wifi connection, good TV reception (no English channels), tea making facilities, even toothbrush are available.
The cost to stay in this solid four star hotel is only US$60 per night in a single room, which is cheaper and more comfortable in those cramped stuffy hostels and inns in Shinjuku.

This hotel is sweet! I stayed in a single, so regarding that: It's a Japanese business hotel-style room that is finished out VERY nicely.

The main the thing that sets it apart from other business hotel rooms is that the desk area is built into the window box, so you actually have decent room for your PC, etc, plus a really cool chair, from which you can also view the flat-screen nicely; No retro-fit non-sense.

The toilet is in a separate closet from the shower/lavatory, in which the included toiletries are much nicer than the usual fare, (not that I care, being a dude.)

Its right outside JR Otsuka station on the JR Yamanote line, which means it is one station away from Ikebukuro; virtually equidistant (less than 20 min?) from Ueno and Shinjuku, and from either of those ends, just a few minutes more from Tokyo and Shibuya, respectively. Cheers!

Close to the station. Room was always immaculate. They had a nice window shade for blocking out the sun. Always cleaned my room even though I left in the early afternoon sometimes. A/C was ice cold. Don't need to hand over your room key when you leave. All lights can be controlled from in bed. They had staff that would bow and press the up button every time you entered the hotel during the day.

Nitpicky complaints: The Wi-fi didn't work but they gave me a router to use. Area around Ootsuka station is limited late at night for food options. There is a giant green LED that remains on near the bed when the A/C is running. Room seemed a little smaller than other places i stayed, but just fine for one person. Staff was very helpful but not fluent in English.

Such an excellent hotel. Very good condition of the room (seems like it's newly renovated) and very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It's only 2 minutes away by foot from Otsuka JR station which is on Yamanote line. It's only less than 15 minutes away to get to Shinjuku by train. I highly recommend this hotel.

I go to Japan (Tokyo in particular) at least once every year. I'm not a big fan of staying in the busy areas of the city due to noise etc. Hotel Bellclassic happens to be in one of my most favorite areas to stay. It's quiet but not too out-of-the-way. It's a 1-2 minute walk from the JR Otsuka train station and about 5-10 minutes from Shin-Otsuka station, which gives you a couple of commute options. It's about an average of 30 minutes' train ride to most of the major tourist areas (if that's your thing). There is a convenience store right across the street, which is convenient (no pun intended). The JR station is also a kind of mini-mall. The hotel itself is bright and clean and pleasant. I stayed in a single room with a double bed, mini fridge, writing table, side table, desk chair and little sofa chair. It's a little small, like most hotel rooms in Japan, but enough room for a couple of small suitcases. I like that the bottled water in the fridge is free (replaced every day) and the amenities that are are full-sized so you actually have enough soap/shampoo to shower with. No wifi, but they provide an ethernet cable, which I used with my Airport Express with no problems. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I speak Japanese, so I can't tell you how well they communicate in English. All in all, a good experience. I have no complaints. One thing that may be of concern for some is that you can hear people in the hallway quite clearly. But it was mainly a very quiet hotel.

The hotel is within 5 minutes walk from the JR station Otuska, It is a non-interchange station unlike those in Shinjuku or Ikebukoro which made this station easy to navigate. Surrounding the station are many small eatries, and fast food chains and also a supermarket. The staff understand and can speak English. The single room is not too small compared to many of those in japan. Though very near the rail line, not much noise in the room. Comfortable bed. Clean room. I will stay again in this hotel especially if there is a good deal. There is also a TRAM station near the Otuska station.

I had a very enjoyable stay at the Bellclassic. The amenities are brand new and quite nice especially for the price. The Otsuka area is quiet and the hotel is literally 2 minute walk to the Otsuka station on the Yamanote line and thus very convenient to anywhere you want to go in the Tokyo area. I would stay here again

This hotel is a new favorite! Bellclassic is just outside Otsuka station (walk about 2 min). From Narita, took the Keisei Skyliner to Nippori (36 min) then transfered to Yamanote line to Otsuka (10 min). So fast! I like that Otsuka station itself is small and easy to navigate. Just one train line runs through it. It would be great for a person new to Tokyo. Because it's not too busy or congested, you never have to fight crowds. It is also on the Yamanote line which circles the city & stops at the major parts of town. The next station is Ikebukuro & it only takes 11 minutes to Shinjuku. Since I often travel with a senior, I look for escalators and elevators. I don't recall either at this station. This is also an issue for me as I travel with a suitcase. Fortunately, the flight of stairs down to street level was short. Went out the south exit, turned right and walked 1-2 min to the hotel. The hotel itself is nice and seems new. There's even sightseeing info on the TV's home screen. Next time, I'd like to try riding the Toden Arakawa streetcar. It looks cute and nostalgic.

The Bellclassic was a very nice hotel, with wonderful staff, in a nice neighborhood, conveniently located. My only issue lies in that our room back onto an extremely noisy subway platform which drove us a little insane after a while.

Short stay in Tokyo

I have stayed in a few Tokyo hotels in the past, but this was my first time at The Bell Classic. lt is situated just a few minutes walk away from Otsuka station (JR Yamonote line). Customer service was excellent- very helpful. Unfortunately, there was no airport transfer service directly from the hotel. The room was small and the bathroom a little dated but overall clean and very satisfactory.

The staff at the hotel were extremely polite and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the bathroom was perfect. The only downside was the breakfast the next morning in the hotel restaurant. The staff there were opposite of the staff in the reception. They were reluctant to help and didn't show any motivation at all.

机の中に電気付き鏡があったのはとても良かったです。いつも洗面所で立って化粧するか、暗い中座ってやるかでホテルではうまく化粧ができたことがなかったので、さすがブライダルホテルだとおもいました。
エントランスのセンサーで鏡の電気がつくのは、ちょっとうるさく、自動じゃなくてもいいかなと思います。

新年はここで迎えました。

大塚駅横の立地は便利で池袋隣なのに静かで歩きやすいです。ホテル内のお正月飾りも素敵で快適な年越しとなりました。
シャンプーも髪のまとまりが良いタイプのものが置いてあったのでラッキーでした。
お掃除大変かと思いますが、お風呂のタイル目地の汚れが気になったので、そこだけ。
スタッフさんの接客も良かったので、また泊まりたいと思います。

ベッド上に置いてある円柱形のクッションが、背中に座り心地が良くて快適でした。
滞在中困ったことがあったとき、スタッフさんがとても丁寧にご対応くださいました。コロナ禍での長期滞在で不安がありましたが心地よく過ごせました。スタッフさんには感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。
部屋は長期滞在だったために壁や床にあるシミに気がついてしまいましたが、全体的に綺麗だったので許容範囲です。
朝食は飲み物も食事もバリエーションが少ない気がしたのであともう一歩と感じました。

サービスがよかった

フロントの対応が非常に好感がもて、しっかりしていた。婚礼を取り扱っているからか、サービスはこのクラスの中では非常に良いと思いました。喫煙部屋を予約したが窓が開かないので、臭いの気になる人は気をつけた方が良いかもしれない。駅近で立地は非常に便利で、仕事がしやすい大きい机とイスがあったのも高ポイントです。次もまた利用したいです。

非常近JR站，去池袋十分方便，比住池袋更方便。對面有Lawson, 火車站一出便是商場地面便有食物賣，食也很方便。

・部屋に置いてある陶器のカップに前の宿泊者の口紅が付着したままだった。非常に残念でした。
・各部屋に電子レンジを設置してほしい。

チェックインよりかなり早い時間から荷物を預かって頂けたのでとても助かりました！
再度夜に戻ると、荷物はしっかり部屋へ移動してくれていました！
駅からもコンビニからも近く、駅近くには居酒屋などもあって夜遅くまで楽しめたので、立地は良いと感じました。
チェックアウトの際にホッカイロを頂けたのでほっこりしました。

ビジネスホテルではたいへん珍しい、バスとトイレが別というのは素晴らしかった。
室内の備品も最良で、ベッドに抱き枕みたいなのがあって快眠できた！また宿泊したいと思います。さらに大塚駅前という、新宿や秋葉原などと比べて人が少ないのも良かった！そして、徒歩10秒でローソンがあるので最高！

なごーちゃん

今回は一週間の滞在でした。大塚駅から近く、付近の飲食店へのアクセスに便利なのと、銭湯へも比較的アクセスしやすく長期で滞在するのに良いです。また、今回は部屋で仕事をしていて、ベッドメイキングの時間を過ぎてしまいましたが、フロントの方がアメニティやタオル等を交換してくれたりして、臨機応変に対応してもらい助かりました。また、利用しようと思います。
