Nothing special here Read the reviews and make a decision. It’s not a nice place but it’s affordable for Brooklyn. The building is old and they still allow smoking in part of the building. The employees are nice and it’s a buys get hotel spot. Just be realistic.

Clean room but Ash burned through sheets , smelled like cigarettes… the shower head broke off and the repair Guy told me he was off shift so he doesn’t know what to tell us, came upstairs and attempted to fix jt but then told us he couldn’t and ran out of our room. I also booked for a coty view room , which means not on the 1st floor. Besides that nice stay … will be attempting to stay COMFORTABLY again.

Dark rooms with poor lighting. The only light in the room flickered. Rug was wet in some areas. I arrived less than 30 minutes before check in and they refused to let me check in a few minutes early. They also have hourly rates for rooms which was not something mentioned on their site.

This was the worst “hotel” i have ever stayed at. Us 3 girls booked a trip to NY for the first time, we arrived at 10pm to find the property is in an unsafe area so that was red flag #1. We checked in and our room was in a basement, red flag #2! we get down into the basement and the room door was open and propped open with a shampoo bottle with no cleaning lady in sight red flag #3. We slept there because it was late but it was disgusting and we couldn’t even shower because the water never got hot, red flag #4! we checked out the very next day & they refused to give us our money back. the staff gave us the run around & kept saying the manager was unavailable. i don’t even know how this property is up and running. they also have a sign displayed in front that you can book rooms by the hour, red flag #5. i cannot say 1 good thing about this place.

Very noisy occupants. My room was directly facing the elevator. At 10 PM, someone was shouting outside in the corridor asking his wife/partner to open the door.
The fire alarms were constantly on without any warning or instructions on what to do.

Water flow in my fourth floor room was with very low pressure. Very frustrating while using the sink or bathtub.
Shower curtain rod was in a bad shape, ready to break anytime.

The only good thing about this place is that it's quite inexpensive and close to where I need to go.

If you a single, and if you have specific work around NYU or Navy Yard in Brooklyn, this might be a good place to stay for 1 or 2 nights.

A lot of restaurants closeby, including on Myrtle Street.

I do not recommend this place for families.

The lighting in the room was terrible and practically non existent. Bathroom tap had little to no water on the fifth floor. The room key card stopped working midway through the stay. No drinking water supplied. The windows are all blacked out with posters/stickers. Sleeping was difficult on the second night due to smoking smell in the room. Low price is misleading. Don’t recommend.

The Wi-Fi wasn't working on the TV—and without Wi-Fi, you can't watch TV. In the bathroom, they only left me one roll of toilet paper for a three-day stay. When they cleaned the room after two days, they didn't leave me a bath towel—only a hand towel—and no soap either! They only provide moisturizer; they don't leave any shampoo. It also functions as a short-stay hotel, so you can hear the neighbors screaming during their passionate activities! The only good thing is that a bus to downtown stops right at the hotel entrance.
There was also a piece of gum stuck to the nightstand; the room only has a small refrigerator—though I’m not sure if it actually worked, because it wasn't cooling!

It was right next to a busier road, so it is loud during the day. It wasn't too bad at night, but people who have issues sleeping might have trouble. The towels were cleaned (I think) but there were hair strands stuck in the fabric of the towels. That was kinda gross for me. The bed was okay. The couch was in rough condition and was dirty.

This hotel looks completely different than the advertised photos. They have a large sign advertising renting rooms by the hour. I was unable to check into my booking because there was no staff. I would not book this hotel, and I recommend Expedia no longer promote it. Do not book a stay at this hotel

I've stayed at the Casablanca a few times and have been completely satisfied every time. The rooms are clean and spacious, with very comfy beds, and they include a mini refrigerator, smart TV, and an ac/heat wall unit. The hotel also offers free wifi, and short stays. There is a bus stop right outside the entrance, a deli and liquor store next door, and plenty of other places to eat nearby. The pricing is affordable as well. Highly recommended!

Dangerous location pubic hairs on towels bedding looks like there from a flea market from the 70s. The shower head blew off in the middle of my wife's shower and hit her in the head. Toilet was covered in piss upon entering the room. Absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. Window was jammed open and was unable to be shut (winter in New York sub-10 degrees). Space heater was broken. Stains all over floor and bedding. Holes in the wall. Screaming in the hallway all night long. Sink was broken. Manager lied about room availability absolute worst experience at a hotel I have ever had

The room was unclean and smelled of heavy cigarette. There was no hot or even warm water. Our final straw was when a couple in the room next to us got into a violent domestic dispute. It was very distressing and the hotel staff was negligent to help mediate any of our concerns. We had to cancel our booking early and rebook somewhere else as staying here was becoming a health and safety hazard.

my stay at this hotel was extremely horrible first of all the sheets and towels had stains on them. and when I tried to adjust the heat it just blew cold air not even cold just this weird feeling. the whole room was extremely cold the whole entire night and when I had to wake up to go to work to shower, the water was extremely cold but the sink water had hot water which is ironic. the floors were really dirty and it smelled weird in there. I only stayed there because I knew that the other rooms were'nt going to be better. this is a very crappy hotel. I don't think you guys should call it a hotel you should call it a motel

There were cracked tiles on the bathroom WALLS, holes in the blankets, a toilet that runs non stop all night and the sounds of others clearly audible from other rooms and the hallway. The location is very far from asunway station and it has no amenities to speak of. They advertise inside the lobby that they rent rooms by the hour.

The pictures online are very misleading and do not reflect what the hotel actually looks like. The rooms are extremely small, the shower pressure is weak, and both the hallways and rooms smell like smoke. They also don’t provide washcloths, which is a basic amenity. Overall, I would not recommend staying here.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The room was dirty, and the pillows were old and uncomfortable. The vending machine was also not working during our stay. On top of that, when we were about to check out, we had to wait around 40 minutes because there was no one at the front desk. Overall, the amount we were charged was not worth the experience.

This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The room was dirty, poorly maintained, and felt completely neglected. Basic cleanliness was missing—unpleasant smells, stained linens, and fixtures that barely worked. The staff was unhelpful and indifferent, offering no real support when issues were raised. Amenities advertised online were either unavailable or in terrible condition. Overall, the hotel felt unsafe, unprofessional, and not at all worth the money. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place and booking literally anywhere else.

The employee at the checkin counter was having a full on conversation with someone on the phone and didn't communicate with us very well, it felt pretty disrespectful. The room smelled heavily of smoke and weed, I wish we knew this hotel allowed everyone to smoke inside. Awful permeated smell of smoke. We slept very poorly due to the smell as it kept waking us up. Unfortunate for sure.

We came at 5.30PM, we were told the room was ready and given a key (although just one key for 3 people was not ideal). When we got to the room the room was wide open, sheets were on the floor and the room hadn’t yet been cleaned. Thankfully the cleaners cleaned the room in around 15 minutes to a good standard, but the whole process was awful.

Well, my husband and I did not have any issues while we were staying at this hotel overnight and the room was clean. When I walked in, I felt like I was in a convenience store with the glass in between the worker and myself. They also have hourly rates posted at the check-in desk. And while we were checking in, I was staring at the sign, wondering who would need hourly rates at this hotel, and only one thing came to my mind.

I would not stay here again.

It was awful, and now they won't even help me with a refund for the nights we ended up not staying there. Absolutely insane.

Morning 1 was woke up by housekeeping laughing and yelling in front of my door. Morning 2 was woke up by a loud crowd coming in at 4:45. Paper thin walls. Loud elevator ring. No hairdryer. Terrible water pressure and no hot water. Only positive was the price.

It was the most affordable place in the area by far. It's in a good area. The room was very clean and in pretty good condition. There was free parking in back, with cameras (but still not really visible to the sidewalk or street, so I was a little nervous about it). Staff was very friendly. I was a little surprised to see posted hourly rates when I checked in. This is not the best place if you are noise sensitive. Doors opened loudly throughout the night, and the staff was cleaning a nearby room at 4am (again, hourly rate). It's also next to the highway, and there was a lot of noise from that.
