Excellent staff. Rooms are rather small (we had two rooms for 4 ppl) but clean. Friendly daily service that provided towels and such. Elevator is the worst part. You can't have a hotel this size (12 stories with over 500 rooms?) with only one elevator that only fits 3 people at a time if each has a carryon. That's insane. They do have stairs but it's locked and for emergency use only. Imagine someone stayed on the second floor and had to wait 15 mins to get up or down in the morning.

I frequently travel to Tokyo and this would be my favourite hotel to stay. Reasonable price, good connections to other places with JR and subway station, good food nearby (I recommend the Japanese-Italian place Kobaya just next door). The neighbourhood is a suburb but on the Yamanote line with great vibes. Rooms are moderately sized with a huge TV, shower facilities is great with the water heater being the best I have used (even better than my house!). Some of the staff are great with English too.

Overall the stay at the hotel was very pleasant and clean and respectful in their hygiene and cleanness is one of top qualities I have seen.
The only downfall I see and believe no access to outside or rooftop sitting area areas that limit to enjoy the view and enjoying doing business and enjoying a scenery like balcony or rooftop other than that everything has been very very pleasant and I look forward in returning when I do travel again back to Japan

Another nice stay at APA Komagome. I checked in fairly easily, I plugged my Switch into the TV, the outlets were convenient, the bed was pretty comfortable, the AC was cold (and had no musty smell) and the (bigger) New Days by the station was a good (albeit a bit pricey) place to buy dinner. Good stuff.
The 'not so great:'
There were a quite a few sirens this time. The 'view' was of a building about 3 meters away. And on the 2nd cleaning day, the sink/shower heat got turned to \"scalding\" (without me noticing).

All in all, a nice-but-not-amazing stay; I had to make a few concessions to keep the peace, but I managed. The good: They had a Tanabata tree and I wrote and hung a wish on it, which was very nice. The room was pretty comfortable; I was able to plug my Switch into the TV and only had that one power cable running across the floor, tempting me to trip over it every time I went to the bathroom. (I covered it with a towel once I had one to spare, btw.)

Most everything about the stay was nice; the check-in staff was lovely, I had an HDMI port on the TV to plug in my Switch, the AC was cold, etc. No coin-operated laundry at this location, but that's ok. There was a Family Mart next door, although I actually wound up walking to the New Days just outside of the station for dinner each night after the first one. (Gotta love that self-checkout.)
Memories of my stay, however, are overshadowed by the housekeeper that I had an encounter with; I don't think she spoke much Japanese (or perhaps I just didn't understand what she was saying) and she spoke only a few words of English, but she came into my room (the day AFTER cleaning -- which happens every 3 days at this hotel, and I did ~not~ leave the sign on my door to request a cleanup), told me to unplug my Switch from the TV and move my laptop to the desk so she could change the bedding. I considered arguing with her (eg. \"The bedding is fine; and besides, I'm checking out tomorrow\") but given how little communication there was between the two of us, I figured I'd just clear out of the room for half an hour or so. So I went downstairs, bought a drink from the vending machine and hung out in front of the hotel (as this hotel is apparently to small to have any chairs in the lobby).
It was a run-in that seemed very out-of-character in a Japanese hotel.

A lovely hotel on the Yamanote line so brilliant for accessing all the parts of Tokyo you would want to on a visit. The rooms are small but very comfortable and well appointed. The area around the hotel is super quiet and very safe. There is a beautiful park nearby (Rikugien Gardens) and some handy dining options for those evenings when you can't face another trip into Shibuya.
The showers are excellent, the deep Japanese bath is suited to tall people like me and the staff are very pleasant.
All in all a great budget option and perfect as a base from which to explore Tokyo.

Liked option to avoid room cleaning everyday, and staff instead leaves towels and amenities on your outdoor door handle. I actually wished they would NOT give me towels everyday, as I’m happy to reuse towels for multiples days. (So I instead manually returned new towels to staff letting them know they were never used).

Room was small but comfortable; about what you would expect for an inexpensive business hotel. It was just a few blocks from the station. Breakfast was reasonable but in a bento box: nothing hot. Staff were friendly and helpful. BUT I booked two stays with two days between stays. They refused to keep my suitcase in between. (NB: website says they have luggage storage). I found another hotel nearby that would hold my luggage and so cancelled the second stay. Their policy cost them my business, and I will not stay an an APA hotel again.

The area is quiet, safe, there’s a Family Mart right next to it, and best of all the Komagome metro station is right up the street. I would stay here again.

This one located just 2-3 minutes walk from the JR Komagome station at a very quiet area of Toshima city. I like this area because its a place where you can just unwind and ‘released’ from the hustling bustling Tokyo main attractions. First, when we arrived to check and not being too familiar with certain things, the young lady checking us in was hardly courteous. No smile and no interaction on her part. However, the other counter people that we met were very cordial.
The room itself was warm and there was no way to adjust the temperature to lower than 16 degrees. We were asked to open the window.

Very good location, JR (North Exit) and Metro station ( #5 exit) are in walking distance. It is also next to few small but very nice eating places( steak, noddle bar etc), a drug store and couple convenience stores. Room is small but clean, and bed is comfortable. Bottle water supplied daily. However There is not any English Channel in guest rooms. staff are very helpful, friendly, and speak limit English.

We arrived at the hotel before the check-in time (15:00 hrs.) and the hotel let us deposit our baggage there, so that we could go sightseeing without worrying about the baggage. The hotel’s location is about one-minute away from a subway station, so convent! Check-in was convenient and automated! Hotel English-speaking staff are nice and helpful. The room is new. It is in a compact size but containing all the facilities for the guests’ comfortable stay. Breakfast is available in two options. We enjoyed the Japanese breakfast. Check-out was automated too.
