Fantastic location for starters. So easy to get to most major stations. The view is incredible. Our room was always cleaned when we asked for it. The staff were always accomodating and had an easy to access laundry.
We were there for 3 weeks and would easily go back again.

Stayed here 2 times. All over great hotel. Location is perfect. Tabata station is compact size so you don't need to walk a lot to get to the hotel. The hill wasn't too bad. Room was tight as I expected and you can handle it. There was suitcase space under the bed. Shinkansen view was wonderful. My child kept watching them. 3rd floor was best view actually. You could see both local train and Shinkansen on your eye level. 7th floor you could see only Shinkansen. Thank you.

The hotel was perfect, I was there two weeks and got around tokyo very easily because of the location. The neighborhood is nice, quiet, and very clean. They had a laundry machine that was easy to use. The staff spoke english, and helped me with anything I asked.

The room is very basic and small however it is good if you are there for a short stay.

With the windows shut the trains noise is less, however with the window open it is very loud.

There is a fridge in the room however it is right next to bed and is fairly loud. I would recommend ear plugs for this hotel.

Staff were helpful as we had our bags sent to the hotel from.the airport,when the bags arrived the staff called up to the room to let us know they were ready to collect.

Overall for the room size and layout it was actually very manageable. Though, the automated light switch in the smaller entry area next to the bathroom door has a timer which takes minutes for it to turn off, one needs to wait. Another issue was the lack of security for personal property. Several items, such as medicinals, and other souvenirs also came up missing afterwards upon arrival home. The staff personnel were notified the cleaning crew left my room door open also. But, there are no safety box deposits inside the rooms. Fantastic gym, but never used the on-site onsen personally.

Great location. And the accommodations exceptional for the area next to Tabata Station, with a bevy of smaller local restaurants, wonderful pastry shops and businesses including a Starbucks and Tully’s cafe nearby also in the same vicinity of Northern side of the train station. Despite sone of the drawbacks while there, I highly recommend this hotelier— very cozy and comfortable, I would return again in the future on another occasion.

The hotel itself was very clean, and right next to a train station so that was helpful. The amenities bar in the lobby was FANTASTIC!! But because it was right beside the train station, I could hear the train all night. During the stay, the crew was literally doing construction in the room beside mine so I woke up to construction noises two days in a row. Wish they would have waited to start that. Staff were very friendly, and the onsen was a nice feature. Liked the laundry machine being washer and dryer in the same machine.

Me and my family had a great stay at tabata city view hotel staff are friendly they give free drinks, free hygiene stuff in the front very clean surroundings they have roof deck where you can see the whole view of tabata and you can see mt fuji from 11th floor the size of the room is doable and the station its just 2-3 minutes walk

I bet much enjoyed the view of the trains from both my room and the observation deck. It was very easy to access the hotel from the South exit of Tabata station. The staff spoke English and we very helpful during my stay.

So, you can kind of imagine that since one of their selling points being near the train station one could expect the train noise. But man, the train noise was a lot. There was also construction happening within the hotel while we were staying, often starting around 7am. Because of the construction, the advertised gym facility was also often inaccessible as it was used as storage for tools and materials.
In typical Japanese budget hotel fashion, the rooms and bathroom was very small, but here, they were even smaller than the few other similarly priced hotels we stayed at.
While it wasn't a terrible stay, I probably would not stay again.

Overall an acceptable hotel. The breakfast was good with a little variety everyday. They also had a sento (bath) for two in the evenings which was nice. However, it was the bed that was hard to deal with. It felt like sleeping on a box mattress. The bottom one.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. It's really great for solo travelers. The station is steps away from the hotel, and you can watch the trains go by outside your window (although the noise may bother some people, if you are sensitive to noise). I'm usually very impressed by the cleanliness of this hotel, but this time around, there was some snot on the walls by the bed that honestly just grossed me out a little. Everything else was great, but that really stuck out to me. I only stayed one night so by the time I noticed it it was too late into the night that I did bother to notify the staff. I'd stay here again, but hope the staff can be more conscious of dirt on the walls and floor.

Good room, great bed, good view, clean washroom, great mini hot spring, the gym was very basic but had everything you needed. Even had a viewing deck. Just well put together. Laundry and restaurant on site. Only thing to consider is maybe the train might annoy some. We were on floor 7.

This is a good option if you are in Tokyo for 1-2 nights by yourself. The little rooms are well appointed and priced right compared to other options. Being in front of the station is a plus in Tokyo and the breakfast and the staff at the property are very nice.

This hotel is close to JR lines and metro subway. It’s an old town so doesn’t have escalator or elevator from the station. Can take taxi to the hotel at an affordable price from Tabata station(JR) or Nish-Nippori(subway). Overall, spacious and a great city view from the hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay as a solo traveler. It's small, but it should be fine for solo travelers who don't require that much space. There is option for traditional Japanese breakfast in the mornings, and there is a public bath available by appointment. It is super close to the Tabata station, which conveniently has JR lines. Note about Tabata station: the South exit is significantly closer to the hotel than the North exit, but it does not have an elevator or escalator--only stairs. Something to keep in mind for travelers who may be carrying big or heavy luggages. Great stay, really liked it!

The price for a week stay was terrific for Tokyo! The room was small, as expected, but perfectly suitable. The double bed extended wall-to-wall, with a centered window, and the desk and fridge were alongside. The bathroom/shower fine. All was clean and the staff were very friendly, even when Expedia made a huge mistake in booking me for the wrong week! I would definitely stay there again! Plus, the Tabata train station is a short walk away. Perfect for seeing the sights of Tokyo! Good A/C and breakfast too!

Right next to Tabata station which makes this hotel very convenient. Walkable in all directions to nearby convenience stores. Safe neighborhood and quiet for the most part. You can sometimes hear the subways. There are fitness equipment however the picture online is deceiving in that the “fitness center” is an outdoor area in the middle of the building on the basement level. Also, the bath needs to be reserved however does not allow tattoos…even though you are making a private reservation to use it? That doesnt make sense to me.

The location of this hotel is close to the South Exit of Tabata Station which is convenient to use. However, it can be noisy because it is literally next to the train station. (I'm usually not bothered by it but it can vary from others who are sensitive to noise pollution). The staff seemed discourteous when it comes to the room that you paid for. I did not get the room with a nice \"city view\" of the Tokyo Skytree but rather the view of the wall and the window of the next-door building... I just wish they were more honest about how they advertise some of their room types and tell guests that certain rooms don't have that view.

If you are staying in Tokyo, this is an ideal location, Tabata station is LITERALLY a minute away and will take you to anywhere in Tokyo! Perfect location. Hotel is clean and staff are so friendly. Its a basic hotel but if you plan on exploring, its ideal!

Like the room. The bed is comfortable. The shower/sink was easy to use. Your typical tiny tokyo room, but not a problem. If you are two people, I would suggest you get your own rooms. The steam bath is very refreshing. Make sure to reserve a time use it early in the morning. And if you're like me, you appreciate the Japanese Functional Toilet.

Hotel was so small you cannot move around, the room was SUPER noisy as it was right beside the train station. The hotel didn't have umbrellas provided as well (most hotels in japan do) and it was raining cats and dogs. There is no food around the area and this was absolutely the pits.

Cons: the hotel is not considerate enough to remind the guests that the hotel must take the South exit of JR. google map would not tell you it would take you stairs and slope if you take the north exit. Moreover, there are no shops at south exit.
Do not choose this hotel if you have large luggage to carry as there is no elevator at Tabata JR station.

One more thing, I stayed for 2 nights and my room was not cleaned even though I didn’t put the ‘don’t disturb’ sign at the door. It was quite a disappointment in terms of service. The staff at the front desk was generally helpful.

Positives: The place was very clean on arrival, the bed was large and comfortable, the blackout shutters kept the room completely black, but it was very bright when they were opened. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient for the station.

Neutral/suggestions: The room was very small. I expected it, but it would be good to post a floor-plan also, so people know exactly what they're getting. The room wasn't cleaned especially well, which surprised me.

Overall, I liked the place and would consider staying here again.

Close to the JR station but guests have to know which exit of the train station to take. I took the long way to get to the hotel when I arrived. Hotel is located on a steep slope locale. Take the SOUTH exit.
The plus side: the hotel has a public onsen for hotel guests. And included breakfast.

アパートかマンションを改装しているのか、客室に行くのにいったん外気にあたります。
田端駅南口がなにもない&エレベーターエスカレーターもないので、大荷物の方は運び入れに苦労すると思います。小型ユニットバスなので、狭かったなあという印象です。
線路の音が部屋によっては朝から入るので、気になる人は注意しないとストレスかなと思います。
僕は秘密基地感あって好きですが、大柄すぎたり、荷物が多いときついかもしれません。

一階の部屋を指定されましたが、部屋入口の目の前がジムとなっており、「え？まさかここが部屋？」と思ってしまいました。さすがに、夜や早朝のジムの使用はないだろうと思ってましたが、夜中12時と朝5時にトレーニングの音が聞こえ、全く眠れず最悪でした。もう宿泊はしません。
常識として、ジムの前に部屋があるのですから、せめてジムの使用時間を制限するべきです。宿泊利用者としては、24時間使用可能は、ありえません。

1階のエコノミーツインは、狭く枕上の排気口の風が寒かったです。風圧が強く扉が閉まりづらかった。シングルの部屋は、広く快適。
