The front desk staff was the friendliest we experienced our whole time in Japan. Wang, Monda, and a couple of others whose names we didn’t get. They spoke great English which helped our check in process. The rooms were on the smaller size but this is Japan and we didn’t want to spend our whole budget on the place we just slept. Beds were comfy. Towels were fresh. Super close to so many train stations including the Skyliner to/from NRT. And Nishi-Nippori exit.

This was our first international trip and the hotel was recommended by a friend who recently stayed at the hotel earlier this year. The front staff was very nice and provided helpful tips to us. Mando spoke English which was a plus and he was really helpful and made our trip very pleasant. The train station is less than 5 mins walk, very close to restaurants and convenience store. Our room was perfect for a family of 4! Thank you for making our stay very joyable.

As advertised in the hotel website, it is great for train spotting. It comes with some advantages (easy transport) but not as much disadvantages as one may fear (trains stop at midnight and though we heard them they didn’t bother us significantly). Very spacious rooms by Japanese standards and comfortable. Manda, at the front desk, was great!

The hotel is located near to Nishinippori station where you can find plenty of dining options. An aeon supermarket is just next to the hotel.
Hotel staff are nice and helpful.
For the room, the size may be slightly bigger than usual Tōkyō ones but still a bit difficult to accommodate two luggages in twins room. There was minor stain on the bedding linen but didn’t bother. The overall facility of this hotel maybe a bit old but good enough for short stay.
However, it is close to train/metro station so noise in early morning is expected.

The shower 🚿 has 4 modes and great water pressure.

We loved this hotel. We stayed with our 4 yr old. Great size, and the toy rentals were very nice. The location was perfect for walking at the market and walking to the train station. You can hear the trains, but didn’t bother us at all. (My husband’s snoring is louder haha) We ended up staying longer because we loved this location so much.

Room is very clean and spacious. Easy to place your 2 suicases. Nice warm bedding with 2 big pillows per person. I wish hotel was located further away from train tracks. Trains noise stopped around midnight but started early morning. So if you need wake up call you will get it from noise of trains early morning. Sunsets in winter are really early around 4.30pm so you need to wake up early anyway. Hotel is located very close to Skyliner that gets you fast to Narita in 40 minutes. Train goes 150km/h. Buying skyliner ticket at the station was very complicated so perhaps getting it online would be easier. Very convinient subway station just a minute walk from hotel. Overall yes I would stay at that hotel again.

When I first booked this hotel, I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew nothing about the area beyond a quick check on google maps and a few reddit threads.

Upon finding the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was small, but extremely inviting, and the man that helped us was super affable and quick to make us feel right at home. During check-in, we were offered water and popsicles, both of which were greatly appreciated after a long travel day!

By the elevator was a table full of amenities, from tea bags to toothbrushes and everything in between. There was also a selection of toys to check-out for the duration of your stay.

The room was VERY spacious with a large desk, two double beds, a comfy chair, and a table. The attached balcony spanned the length of the room and had equally comfortable furniture.

The bathroom had plenty of space to tend to daily needs: The shower had fantastic pressure. The toilet was a bidet, which had many comfort options, including a heated seat. Instructions were in English and Japanese.

The hotel was quiet with one minor exception: trains go by! Neither my husband nor I found it to be too loud. Closing the door to the balcony muffled the sounds considerably and, even with the door open, they were easy to forget.

There were many dining options and convenience stores, a gym, and the train station nearby.

The Hotel Tokyo Trip was a pleasant stay. If/when we visit Japan again, we're definitely coming back!

We loved our stay at Tokyo Trip. We are a family with 2 kids and were able to stay in one room, which is difficult to find in Tokyo. Our room had two single beds and two futon beds on tatami. The kids loved sleeping on the tatami. The hotel
is very conveniently located a few minutes walk from Nishi-Nippori station and Nippori station (which is direct to Narita on the Skyliner). It was nice to be in a quieter area of Tokyo while still having access to the Yamanote line. There is a 7-11 nearby as well as a supermarket right under the hotel. There is no restaurant at the hotel but they have free tea, coffee and popsicles at the reception as well as a number of games you can borrow for free. Our room also had a great balcony and deck. Yes you will hear the trains passing by overground; it didnt bother us as we were still able to sleep. Finally the whole staff is Chinese speaking (English fluency will vary from staff to staff) so it was convenient for me as I dont speak Japanese but can speak some Mandarin. Ms. Li K was very nice and helpful and the entire staff in general was very welcoming.

Stayed here for almost a week.

I was hesitant about this hotel because a lot of people complained about the train noise. In my case, I did not find it problematic or distracting and they only last less than 10 seconds.

I highly recommend this hotel especially if you are arriving / departing via Narita Intl Airport. NRT is directly connected to Nippori station, which is about a 10-min walk from hotel. In addition, the hotel is also close to Nishi-Nippori station which is served by the JR trains and the Chiyoda line metro train. You can directly get to Shinjuku in less than 30 mins. The same train can also take you to Shibuya.

The hotel is close to late night gyudon restaurants and convenience stores.

I stayed on the 2nd floor, and I was just right next to the washer/dryer. I wish I didn't bring as much clothes cause it was so convenient to do laundry.

The room is nothing fancy, but clean and adequate. I like that there's a switch for all the lights in the room at the bedside.

The front desk also provides free coffee and free ice cream. Staff was friendly. Latest late checkout is only up to 2pm, with extra fee.

I will definitely consider this hotel again in the future.

I found the train noises to not be disruptive at all and it faded into the background for me quite easily. The staff were kind and helpful, and the stations so close that it makes exploring Tokyo very easy. This was a really lovely Hotel to have as a first hotel especially since the station near by is easy to navigate too. The room had a kettle and a tv that played local channels and that was really nice!

I would highly recommend it to others staying in area, definitely had a great and comfortable stay.

Likes:

Hotel is clean. I reserved for 2 twin bed deluxe and it is spacious enough for me and my 90-year-old father with 2 large luggages, 1 medium size luggage, and a carry-on luggage.

There is Doutor, 7-11, McDonald, and Yoshinoya stores within walking distance. And other restaurants nearby.

This hotel is literally close to the train station that you could hear the train coming. If sound does not bother you, then it should not be a problem. It did not bother us at all.

Overall, I like this hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

Dislikes: No dining options inside the hotel.

This was our first time visiting Japan and the experience was amazing. This property was very close to many restaurants, Mc Donald’s, 7-11 and the train station; very walkable.

I felt safe walking at night with my spouse. The only feedback is the beds are in between full size and twin size therefore we slept on our own separate beds. Also download google translator if you don’t speak the language. The translator was definitely useful and I also downloaded a money conversion app to know how much I was paying for food.

Many good eateries nearby and a minimart nearby. Service was good and they were able to clean up/renew towels everyday.

Only gripe would be that it might be too loud for you to sleep due to trains, but the double seal glass doors on the balcony block out enough noise for a good night's sleep.

This hotel is just around the corner from the station, so getting around is really easy! The place is clean and relatively spacious by Japanese standards (and they have free popsicles!) There are several delicious restaurants along the two short blocks between the hotel and the train station, too.

For those who are noise sensitive, be aware that the hotel is between two train tracks. I barely noticed and it didn't impact my sleep, but I know that's likely not true for everyone.

Nice clean hotel. The staff allowed us to store our bags the next morning before our afternoon flight, which was very kind. The staff were a bit serious, but very accommodating. The location seemed to be a lot closer to the railway station than it appears on Google maps. Maybe because the streets are narrow and the blocks small (which was good). Lots of traditional restaurants and shops nearby. The area seems a bit more local and had less of a business/city vibe. There was a bit of red light action nearby on one street, but the area felt safe.

We had a 2nd floor room, which was roughly at the same height as the (elevated) Keisei line that goes out to Narita. I was surprised how low the noise volume was given that the trains passed about 10 meters in front of the hotel, and I had no problems sleeping. I wonder if rooms higher up in the hotel are quieter. I am also guessing that train spotters may like that location.

Very clean. Very closed to station. But recommend family room for more space. There is no tv station in English, no individual unit of air conditioning in smaller room, but in family room, there is and you can control your room temperature.

This was probably the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at. The location was excellent because it’s right next to the Nippori station for easy access to the airport train and the main train lines for the city. Most popular attractions are within a half hour commute and the neighborhood is way less crowded than some of the popular areas which is nice. The room was bigger than I expected it to be. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had everything we could possibly need including full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. For the price, this hotel exceeded our expectations. The one thing that should be noted/expected: since the hotel is so close to a transportation hub, train sounds are to be expected - after one night, we just got used to it tho. Overall, I’m very happy with our choice.
