As always, wonderful front desk staff and clean rooms. I ran into the housekeeping staff for the first time in years, and they were so friendly and kind! I also checked out the laundry room for the first time, although I didn't use it--I think it's such a nice amenity to have. I also love the little items available in the room, like the hair elastics and green tea powder sachets.

I am a short, slim, fit person. I really don't need a lot of room. And you won't get any of that at this hotel. You're supposed to be able to store your luggage under the bed. But you can't. You're supposed to be able to change the temperature in your room. But you can't, this hotel ensures that your room will always be hot enough to bake bread. The bathroom has enough room for a tube of toothpaste, past that you're screwed. It would not surprise me if capsule hotels have more space.

The staff are great, the room cleaning is fine. It's clean. Not far from ueno. In fact the walk there is quite excellent. But honestly, in a room that will barely fit your suitcase, what's the point?

Had a fantastic stay. Was able to check in a bit early, room was great and clean. It was cozy for the two of us plus packing 3 large suitcases. The staff was very helpful helping us send our luggage’s off to the airport. The area was close to everything including a small local grocery store which had a lot of things we were looking for. Overall very happy with our stay and can’t wait to visit again in 2 weeks.

This is a great hotel for anyone wanting to do things around Nippori area but if you are planning to spend most of your time in Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku then I would probably recommend to stay elsewhere because it’s about a 30 minute train ride to most places and you might not want to waste your time with transportation. But otherwise the area around the Hotel was very nice and the vibes were definitely more local versus touristy. I liked that you could get a train directly from Narita to Nippori station. As far as the room itself, it was very small but decent for Tokyo.

This is a budget hotel which I recommend if you are tight on budget. Plus - very close to Niporii Train Station where you can take JR to anywhere. the SkyTrain can take you to Narita Airport in 45 mins. Minus - hotel room is aged and hotel lobby is very tight in space (luggage kept in lobby instead of inside a storage area). Check out time is 10am instead of 11 am. We were charged extra 1000 yen when we check out at 10:30am. Hotel staff should remind guest on checkout time as typically hotel check out time is at 11am.

First stay in an APA Hotel and to be frank I just don’t think these are for me. I’ve stayed in 3 other hotels in Tokyo and I guess for its price point this is one of the better budget ones you can get if you want the convenience of being right next to the station. However, I’m the type to not mind shelling out an extra $50-75 per night for a slightly better hotel.

My partner and I didn’t get good sleep due to the covers being extremely thick and the AC was either too cold or too warm. The bathroom also had a musty smell and even as a 5’0” person I thought it felt too tiny to move around, like I was in an airplane bathroom.

Definitely a budget hotel and if you don’t mind that, go for it due to the convenience. I had another APA hotel booked before staying here but after seeing this, it made me rebook to a different one with higher price points. Just my personal preference to spend a bit more for a more comfortable rest which is important to me personally.

Nice stay in continent hotel.

The hotel was typical of other hotels with the room being fairly small. The bed takes the minority of the room with only a small chair at the desk. This room had slightly more room where the was a place at the foot of the bed to store your luggage. The rooms was well equipped with a food AC, light controls next to the bed, a large TV, although no English channels. Free movies on demand which was nice, although no comfortable chair to watch the movie other than a small chair by the desk. A nice kettle and coffee and tea were provided which was a nice touch. The bathroom was very good as well. Lots of consumables in the bathroom as well.
The hotel was very convenient to the Nippori station. The buffet breakfast was very good as well. The hotel also offered a great luggage storage for the day in you are flying out, which is what I did. The Nippori station is where you can catch the Skyliner Express to Narita airport.

Room was a bit cramped. Hard to pack checked luggage with limited floor space.

Easy access to Skyliner. Was the last leg of the trip before heading to Narita. Good food scene, variety of other cusines besides Japanese. Fair amount of Vietnamese and Chinese places. Reasonable distance from Asakusa, Ginza, Tokyo, Ueno. Old Ginza is nearby walking distance with cool little shops.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a few nights and overall had a decent experience. The room was clean, which I really appreciated, and the general atmosphere throughout the hotel was quiet and peaceful — a definite plus for getting a good night's rest.

However, the mattress in my room was noticeably worn out and uncomfortable. It felt lumpy and clearly needed to be replaced. This was the biggest downside of my stay, as it affected my sleep quality.

Despite that, the hotel was fairly well-maintained and not very noisy, even during peak hours. With an updated mattress, I would consider staying here again.

I had a great stay overall—friendly staff, clean rooms, and a convenient location. Everything was well-maintained and comfortable, except for one issue: the mattress in my room definitely needs to be replaced. It was worn out to the point that one side sank noticeably more than the other, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Aside from that, the experience was excellent, and I’d consider staying again if the bedding situation is improved.

Step down from a typical Japan hotel

Kind of surprised how much of a step down from the typical Japan hotel this is. Half or more of the staff are non-native Japanese speakers and attitude from some were kind of harsh, unlike in typical hotels. Head of the bed was against the window which is opposite most other hotels and unfortunately that is where the heater control was so it was a careful balance of keeping it not too high because the space near the window got cold fast while the rest of the room would heat up. TV was firmly bolted to the wall making HDMI acces very difficult. It supported casting but was totally unusable as the WiFi throughput was poor. Free movies though. Do not Disturb sign was not provided which was pretty annoying. Room was clean except for some dark red brown spots on the bathroom wall, when I rubbed with some wet toilet paper they did start to come off so was really surprised housekeeping did not take care of them. I don't know if it was blood but it grossed me out, as did one of the glasses was dirty and looked used. I'd never seen that in a Japan hotel before. Last order for breakfast is 9:00 and I literally walked in at 9:01 one morning and felt like I was getting yelled at. Saw them berate other customers for other things also. 2nd time staying here but now it's 30% higher cost (last time bed was perpendicular to the window). And bed was way too soft and gave me backache.

This property is a great base of operations for visiting Tokyo. The Yanaka Ginza is more my speed the the bright glitzy market street downtown. Via the yamanote line right next to the hotel you can hits almost all the must-see attractions in the city. Get a room as high up as you can and get well oriented.

Had a tough travel to the property from where I was coming from and arrived at 1pm. I rested in the lobby until 3pm checkin. The staff let me know there was an elevator at the north gate to the train station so I wouldn’t have to take the stairs on the way back.

Great stay but need option for cooling room

The hotel was exactly what I expected, perfect size room with all the amenities I expect from APA. The only problem was that my room was very hot and you can not adjust the temperature. I bought a small fan but the room was on a high floor and very hot to stay in. I would have appreciated an option to turn down the thermostat, even for just a short time to cool the room off. The hallways were very nice and cool but the room was like sauna.

We booked a 5-night Tokyo stay here for 6 people (2 people in each room).
We already knew before booking that it didn't have an on-site onsen, but it was pretty average for an APA hotel. Room cleanliness was average and they provided an amenity bag (towels, robes, toothbrushes etc.) everyday. Everyday room cleaning was optional, but you could also indicate on your door if you needed it. They offered room cleaning every 3rd day as well, whether or not you asked for it.
The staff were exceptional and provided excellent service.
The location is great, especially if you're flying to/from Narita.
We would stay here again on our next visit to Tokyo.
