Looks like the hotel got bought over because the renovations, they did are amazing! Rooms are a decent size for what you can find in Tokyo. Showers are small but we’ll definitely look into staying here again. Next time we come!

Incredibly nice staff!!! The room was small but it had good enough compartments in the room to have our carry on accessible to us. The neighborhood had a great vibe. There’s a 24hr restaurant across the hotel, which was convenient for days that we came home late. The food was also nice.

We highly recommend checking out the store “AND Leather” for genuine handmade leather wallets!!!

I had an overall pleasant stay at this property in my time in Japan. The room was very clean however a little small. We had the bunk bed option which was surprisingly comfortable given the small size. The bathrooms were very clean but again, quite cramped so be mindful of this. Overall we had a good stay here with staff that know some English and was very helpful when needed.

I knew the room was small (about 130 sqft) when I booked, but the bathroom size was unbearable for someone of normal size like me. When I sat on toilet, my head can touch the tiny door in front of me. Had to be really careful in the shower so not to bump into walls. The toilet is so small that I peed twice on my pants - i was so furious and embarrassed, not mention the inconvenience it caused.

The check in was fast and the staff were friendly. There was a good selection of amenities in the lobby.
The room itself was decent, although the bed was a little stiff.
It also came with a small kitchen counter, microwave, and portable electric stovetop. I didn't end up using them, but they were nice to have.

Very nice toiletries / shampoo / conditioner / soap. Very well-equipped room for medium-term or long-term living (including an electric stove, microwave, fridge, etc.) Very nice, long desk for work. Small mirror at desk for getting ready (or makeup) and full-sized mirror by the door for seeing entire outfits. Large bed. Relatively nice view from the window/balcony. Quiet. Has washing machine room downstairs. Can rent amenities like irons and ironing boards. Can pay for cleaning services if you live long term. Has vending machine downstairs. Very nice and helpful staff.

Good rate for a basic private room, some mild in bathroom but that is pretty typical for the area. The little amenities provided are nice, and I really like the on-site laundry machines (3 washers, 4 dryers - 200 yen to wash, 100 yen for detergent and 100 yen per 15 min drying. I found 45 min worked great)

This is a no frills budget hotel in a great location. I've stayed several times and no doubt will stay again in future. There is no daily housekeeping service so you're responsible for your own cleaning, fresh bed linen and towels are available from reception on request. E assy access to the Kesei express train to Narita, and just 2 stops from Ueno on the yamanote line.

The hotel is old and needed refurbish. The room we checked in, aircond was smelly and awful so we asked to change room. Luckily the staff was willing to change for us, but never apologized though. We had already unpacked then had to pack again and carried all our luggage to the reception to return and get the new key. I will not book this hotel again.

Not a bad place to lay your head for a few nights

Nothing really objectionable or dirty, but basic functional accommodations. Fixtures a bit worn around the edges, a few chips and cracks, stiff mattress. But the people were very helpful. I went to ask where I might buy a three-pronged adapter since none of the wall sockets would take my computer plug. They immediately loaned me one for the duration of my stay.

Clean, small, basic, price varies a lot depending on your timing. I booked a month early paid $120/night, plans changed, then booked more 3 nights the day before and paid $50/night. Great value at that price.
Difficult to find, directions non existent only found it by map app on phone when hotel name showed. Still very close to Nippori station which is a good station location in Tokyo downrated for lack of directions

Overall, the stay was excellent. For a Japanese hotel, the room was relatively larger than I expected. I have stayed in Hotel MyStays in other areas in Japan and the rooms were smaller. One downside I suppose is that the hotel is a bit far from the station although it was still a walkable distance. Some hotel guests might probably prefer this if they like staying in a quieter neighbourhood so I guess it boils down to personal preference. I also think it was a bit inconvenient to have a limited or a bit restrictive check-in times although the hotel does have a process in place for late check-ins.

I have been to Tokyo 9 times and this was the worst hotel I've ever had, I was actually surprised as I've stayed in other MyStays that were fine (Gotanda is really nice), this one needs to be un-branded they are wrecking the name. I always book the small room "business hotels" and although they are all basic and tiny, they are usually very clean and good condition. This hotel is very bad and unwelcoming, the small cold tile hallways feel like you are staying in a jail or very old hospital or hostel. There are no cleaning staff unless you pay, people are only at the front desk at limited times etc. The room is the same poor quality, mold around the sink, rotting wood under the sink and cabinets beat up and rotting. Horrible hardest ever feels like wood mattress. The bathroom is extra small, angled toilet and has yellowed plastic and smells. Ruined the stay in Tokyo this trip and very uncharacteristic of Tokyo hotels.

This hotel is fantastic!!!! Your room comes with a mobile phone free of charge that you can use anywhere in the city, the only down side to this is you cannot call the UK for free on this phone but you can call many other countries. The fact that you physically do not see any member of the hotel staff was slightly strange to start with however i grew to love this fact. The hotel is spotless and a pleasure to stay in. We struggled to find a taxi driver who knew the location exactly of the hotel but is quiet an easy find and a nice walk from the station itself. I found our stay in Kyoto fantastic due to the ease of the location of this hotel, it is a short walk to the station or to the closest bus stop.

We had a late check-in and the staff was helpful and polite. Our room, as expected, was small. We had the bathroom door handle fall off and we had another minor room malfunction while staying there. However, for the price, it wasn’t exactly shocking. I’d recommend here for a night or two.

Short walk away from Nippori station where you can also take the Keisei Narita Express Line to the airport - very convenient! Staff were kind enough to let us rest while they prepared the rooms. It was ready an hour earlier. They allow luggage storage as well upon check out which was just what we needed since we took the late flight. There are lots of affordable eating places and convenience stores in the immediate area. The rooms are equipped with T&B with tub, stove, kettle and cups, washbasin, hairdryer, TV, toiletries, and mirrors - all in one compact double-bed space. Value for money. Go book!

Room was spacious compared to other hotel around the same price. The room had microwave, fridge, tv, bathtub and so. Very convenient. 5 mins walk from metro and there were many restaurants, bakeries and convi marts. The closest metro is nippori. You can take the jr line to Ueno, Tokyo, Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Harajuku without changing metro.

No frills hotel in good location

I booked the hotel based on price and location, close to Nippori station which was convenient for the Skyliner (also cheaper local trains) to and from Narita. The hotel is cheap because they don't offer a daily maid service, so you are responsible for the cleanliness of your own room. They do provide fresh towels and linen at the front desk on request, and there is also a coin laundry on the ground floor which was useful after a couple of weeks traveling around. My only real complaint was the bed, one side felt like the inner spring mattress had been bent and was lower than the rest, my girlfriend had the other side so I constsntly felt like I was about to roll out of bed. Over all it's a good choice for budget conscious travellers who want easy access to Narita.

Good access to Asakusa, Ueno and Tokyo area

Easy access to Asakusa. There are some buses to Asakusa from Nippori station.
Also it was very convenient to access Narita too.
Room was tiny and neighbours window was right outside of the window.
To be honest I felt a bit dirty. A bit dusty. And walls has some spots. but assume people scratch their luggage in this tiny room.
bathroom doesn’t have enough storage and place to hang towels too.
Best point is price and location, I think.
It’s ok to stay.

The rooms are not cleaned if you are staying for a few days, I think 3 or less, but that was OK with us. You can grab fresh towels and other supplies from reception.

A dormitory on JR ROUTES and ez link to Narita

It's more like a dormitory. Front desk is not 24hours and no security control at gate after front desk off at 10pm till 8am next morning. No room clean provides during your stay unless you are willing to pay for it. It is Good for using JR LINE to move around the Tokyo areas, BUT not good for using Tokyo subway ticket. Subway is available at next stop nishi nippori only where is 950 meters far from the hotel.

It is not a hotel! More like apartment.

There is no hotel facilities and services, no one will clean up the room daily, you have to collect towels and throw rubbish daily yourself, there is no hotel staffs on duty from 10pm to next morning, aanyone can walk in without any security guard. In worst case, if there is fire at midnight, you have to take care of yourself as there us no hotel staff on duty.

Great location, only a 50 minute train ride to anywhere in tokyo. Awesome little kitchenette with microwave, hotplate, and minifridge. The room was spacious and pleasant. Highly recommend to anyone spending one or a few nights in tokyo.

The MyStays chain is (for Japan) uniformly mediocre (I've stayed in three). This one is a little lower than the others.

Location is close to the Nippori train station (perhaps 3-4 blocks) and the airport train (Skyliner) runs through there, so it is a no hassle, <1hr place to take a first or last night in Tokyo. Room is clean, secure, they have a laundry available (this seems to be an upside of the chain, until you realize everyone else in there is using it too ;)

OK as a last resort!

A prior booking let us down at last minute, therefore we had very little to choose from in Tokyo. We were stuck with a smoking room which smelt awful. There were smoke stains throughout the room. There is also no maid service.
On a more positive note this hotel is in a great location, particularly if going to the airport.

I had a great time it was a nice hotel with reasonable prices. You can cook in your room and are provided with things as needed you can swap out your linens daily. There is a lovely supermarket 3 blocks away maretsu petit where you can find whatever you need to whip up a quick stay at home meal. Definitely would rent again. It was my home away from home.

The room is very small for two, but given the prices and the average room space of Japanese hotel, it is still reasonable. Location is good for travelling to and from airport and to others shopping areas as it is close to train and underground railway station. You can easily find places to eat even arrived late. One thing to improve is hotel reception only provided services from 8 in the morning till 10 at night. It is not convenience for traveller arriving late or leaving early. But the reception desk is really helpful. Overall it is good to stay here.

really a business hotel... room is small, bathroom is even smaller.

however, the location is really good, just a 5 min walk from nippori station, where you can take direct train to Narita airport.

there is no housekeeping throughout your stay.... you can request for housekeeping and it is chargeable.... you can exchange towels with the front desk.

The hotel was easy to find and only five minutes walk from the train station. I stayed here the night before getting a direct train to Narita airport and found the station much quieter and easier to navigate than Tokyo station.

The hotel itself was clean but in need of a bit of a makeover. Reception was nice but the décor in the room seemed a little dated and there were a few marks on the walls. I had a double room which was the perfect size for just me but would have been a bit cramped with a second person.

The staff were lovely, letting me leave my bag there the day before and the day after check in. As with all the hotels I stayed at in Tokyo, the level of English was very good and there were no problems with communication.

I would stay here again.

Very close to JR station and convenient to get back NRT airport, there are restaurants and convenient stores around , but it is quite far away from Shinjuku. If you like to shop a lot in those area around shinjuku, I dont recommend this hotel for you.

It was a great choice for our stay. It is very similar to an efficiency apartment, a bit small but easy to adjust. It was safe, quiet and anytime we needed anything the front desk was available for us. There are markets nearby and shopping. The city is very quiet and felt safe as we would walk to the 24 hour market any hour of the night. We enjoyed our stay

Was initially on second level above the traffic and front door (which squeaked a whole lot and banged open/shut). After a sleepless night, the staff moved us to a new room on level 6. They were so kind and accommodating, always helpful. The rooms are small but worth the price, and the location is close to supermarkets, restaurants and the JR line for travelers using a JR pass. When I go back to Japan I would be more than happy to stay here again.

I'm not to hard to please but this hotel was pretty good. I enjoyed staying here. There's no room service however. What cleaning needs to be done during your stay is up to you until your check out date. Bed was comfortable, view from the top floor was awesome and the staff was very nice and very patient.

Awesome price, great location and staff

I actually got this room when it was on a summer sale, so I only paid about $40 something CAD. I was only spending a short night in between travelling through different places, so I was expecting much from this hotel. What surprised me was that not only the location was extremely easy to find right near JR Nippori station, the staff was really helpful as well. It wasn't big, but it was clean and has exactly everything like the other hotels I have stayed, one of it was near Kyoto Station and I paid nearly $150 CAD and it was only as big as this room. So I loved this hotel, great price, great location, friendly staff with well spoken English.

This is a very stripped down business hotel in Nippori. The room was clean but small while the wifi works (and does not require a LAN cable in the room). The hotel seems fine for its purpose but a bit impersonal. It was fine for my trip but I would not want to stay there for a long period of time.

Although, the condition of the room is not worth the price we paid for but it is very convenient from Narita Airport with direct train. Those who are fabrics lovers, this is the place to visit. The only compliment I give is to hotel staff, Maho Shibata San. We had problems with our phone connection and wifi. With much effort and patience, she helps us to get our phone connected. Without her, we are lost. Maho Shibata San: Thank you so much!!!

Great clean hotel at good rate

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. It's in a quite neighborhood but very close (about 5 minutes walk) to the Nippori train and Metro stations. Main reason of choosing this hotel was there is a train going to the Narita Airport from the Nippori train station.

For the price we paid, I am very happy about the room. There is free coffee and tea. There is a microwave, a fridge, a hair dryer, an induction stove, a pan, a TV and free internet access. Room is very clean and air conditioner is quite and cool. There is a supermarket near the train station that I bought some milk, bread and microwave food for breakfast. The size of the room is small which is okay for us as we spent pretty mush whole day site seeing.

Staff is friendly and very polite. They can communicate in simple English.

Location and staff was ok. Room service wasn't provided. Guest should't be asked to clean up thrash. Linen wasn't hygenic. Amenities were of poor quality.

Ensure you check into this hotel before 10pm as there is no night staff at the hotel. The staff are very helpful and kind, but only there from 8am-10pm. The hotel is very basic otherwise. There is no housekeeping for stays under 6 days. The sheets and linens are nice and crisp and clean, but the bathroom had some bubbling walls and is extremely tight (even for Japanese standards).

Convenient access to Nippori station. Very friendly, courteous staff made us feel welcome. Excellent wifi as well as wired internet access, with all the basic features you need for your stay. Small as expected, but works great since we weren't spending extended time there. Would be happy to stay there again!

Hotel is in a good location. However, staff is not very helpful. When we didn't know how the air conditioner worked, they didn't bother coming to our toom to show us how it works, but just gave some vague explaination. Room for two people has a small bed. The staff doesn't come to clean the room, and they don't change your towels.

Great location, cheap clothes, all night eatery

Very convenient for Narita airport, just 5 min walk from JR Nippori.
And also OK for subway pass. there are 2 metro station nearby, Nishi-nippori and Iriya station.
The closer, Nishi-nippori, is about 8 min walk. But it's on Chiyoda line and has few interchange stations to our destinations so we prefer to walk 15 minutes to Iriya station on Hibiya line.

There are many food shops, convenient stores, and 24h restaurant.
Opposite to the hotel: 24h ramen
At Nippori station: familymart
To Iriya, Uguisudani station: 24h supermarket (Maruetsu petit), 24h take away shop (at the pedestrian bridge), familymart, seven
At Iriya station exit 1: Very cozy local supermarket CCS open 9-23 (not so sure), Rice with beef (Yoshinoya, Matsuya), and 24h Aeon takeaway food shop
To Nishi-nippori station: many restaurants open until late night, Coco Ichibanya, McDonald, 24h takeaway food shop

When you walk from Nippori station to the hotel, the cheap cloth shops are on the right before the intersection (the one that you turn right for the hotel, go straight for the textile street). I got 399 Yen dress here!

close to the Keisei Line to Narita Airport

I booked this hotel because of it's location and reasonable price, but I have to stay the other hotel that I booked near Ueno Station was much nicer even if it was a longer walk from the station. For 2,000 yen more, the hotel in Ueno had access to a lot more places of interest to tourists and it was a long stay hotel that had kitchen and a shared living room facility with big screen tv on the main floor. AND a bar and restaurant, which I didn't go to, but looked like it had nice bar-type food. This one was clean and cheap and fine for someone jetlagged, but there just isn't much to do around Nippori Station!
