The room was a very standard for the price but had the advantage that mine was on the ground floor with a door that opened onto a small lawn (useful when travelling with a dog). The breakfast had a very good selection. The parking area was ample and the area felt secure.

We stayed here because it was described as dog friendly however there was no area for us to sit and eat dinner/breakfast with our small dog.
The noise from other guests could be heard through the thin walls.

Good choice for a one night stop over

Campanile Hendaye is a convenient hotel for a one night stop. The reception staff are very pleasant and helpful. The room was functional and had coffee making facilities which was a bonus the only real let down was that the plug in the bathroom was broken and it wasn’t possible to have a bath.

Map and directions were wrong on Expedia website by the time finally found hotel it had closed after my 11 hour drive! Message in French left on door and I don’t speak French so took me a total of two hours in pouring and freezing rain to find hotel and finally get a key to the room from an automatic box after I managed to work out the ambiguous message. Even more drenched and cold by now! Hallways to room smelled of cat pee although actual room was clean but very tired. Not worth over £62.00 per night worth more like £25 - £30. Not impressed.

Good value option

Nice clean hotel. Good bar restaurant . Freindly staff. Would be more convenient for people with cars as its a long ish haul into town/ the station takes about 25 mins on foot . However there are buses and a big supermarket nearby. It is a good base for exploring the area.

Great for short stop-over.

As usual, stopped 1 night on my way to Spain. This motel-style hotel is lierally 3 minutes drive off the motorway north/south. Rooms are smal but cofortablr
e and the food in the restaurant excellent. A few minutes drve away is a fantastic sandy safe beah.

Find another place to stay.

THE bed and the overall place was not very clean. The bed had hair and the place had a weird smell to it. It had a Motel feeling in my opinion. I wouldnt recommend it. The place needs to be remodeled and the wifi was weak at moments. The service was okay, nothing out of the ordinary, its just that the place, the bed , the shower were so uncomfortable.

Hendaye stop on way to Costa Del Sol

2nd overnight stop on way to Costa Del Sol from Scotland. Hotel is easy to find with parking for your car FOC. The reception was helpful and efficient and we would stay again. The town is unusual as one side is France and the other Spain. If you need to fuel up it is cheaper on the Spanish side. The hotel resteraunt is good value, however the drink is expensive. I would use this hotel again

I was very pleased. The room was nice and the adjoining restaurant was very nice. However, since this was an overnight as I travelled, I wanted something within walking of the train station. The ad indicated it may be close to the Gare, but it was not so close. The road sinage from the Gare to the hotel was poor so I was confused. I needed a taxi for my return in the morning to catch my train.

We arrived almost as the hotel reception closed at 11 pm. (Late train, no taxis.......). we got a warm welcome from Sandie on reception and even though the restaurant was closed, she went off and personally made us a sandwich. Outstanding customer service and I hope her bosses read this.

My train was two hours later which didn't give me enough time to get there before 11 pm when they close and they had a sheet posted on the main doors telling me how to get access to my key from a box. I was so grateful as I was unexpectedly late. They were also really accommodating for my lack of French.

Stayed overnight on our way to Alicante. We have used Campanile before, although not this particular one, so no surprises. The receptionist / waitress was very good, attentive and polite. We ate in the restaurant and had the steak \"plat du jour\" which was excellent value. Room was clean and warm and quite. Would use again if on the area

Imagine a motel 6 with a decent restaurant.

This is a motel, imagine a motel 6 that has a half decent restaurant. Internet in room is not for business purposes (bandwidth to low for Skype conferences, it drops out suddenly). Check your email or weather just fine. Location is fine as both towns are small and street parking is abundant. Desk personnel are better than most motel keepers, they are multi lingual, happy to help you with exterior arrangements and pleasent.

We arrived from Spain by train in the afternoon and were leaving the next morning (taking the early TGV to Paris): we needed a simple hotel room to spend the night in Hendaye. While the hotel room was satisfactory in all respects and the staff was very pleasant and helpful, the location is quite inconvenient for people arriving by or leaving by train. Taking this into account, this motel is overpriced .

An all round good budget hotel

Good location, quiet. Initially seemed expensive, but all hotels in the area were as it was the very busy season. Very clean and comfy, coffee etc topped up every day (and biscuits). Internet extremely easy to connect. This is the third time we have stayed in Camponile, in various places, and we cannot fault them. Haven't tried their food yet, but it looks good. Also it is a very \"green\" hotel, so if you are concerned about the planet, this is good.

The place is a 1 star. Old Old, small bed, small room, kind of a dump. I would call the room a closet. The restaurant is OK and the food was OK. The staff was pleasant, but that was probably the only redeeming aspect of the stay. It was close to the airport, that's why we picked it. But not a place you would want to spend any time at. Pretty much YUCK.
The rooms are supposed to be NON smoking, but you could smell smoke everywhere. Old, run down. Not nice at all.

We needed a place to rest for the night while traveling with the cats. This place was very convenient in our route to sleep and rest until the next day. Not very big but very clean and the staff was nice. We payed a few extra euros for the cats at the hotel, as specified in the online booking small print.
It is like a motel style place, with each room facing the parking lot. Very pleased.

Campanile Hendaye-great place to stay!

I was a study abroad student taking a day trip into France and stayed in Hendaye. The Campanile was easy to find, and the staff was SO friendly. They spoke very good English too, which was good because I did not speak any French! We arrived around 9:30 at night and after we checked in, went back to get recommendations on places to eat. It was almost 10 and they informed us everything in the area closed at 10. They let us eat in the restaurant there even though they were closing it in 5 minutes. The food was delicious! Our room was very nice and clean and the beds weren't bad. Bathroom was clean also! Nice place to stay, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Accueil parfait et sympathique, mais cela sentait la friture du déjeuner. Les chambres toujours aussi impeccables. Il y a une chose que vous devriez améliorer dans l'ensemble de vos campaniles c'est la bande rouge que vous mettez devant les marches. Soit c'est une bande fluo, soit vous installez une minuterie qui permet de la voir. Un jour vous aurez un problème.

Séjour de passage sur un long trajet France/Portugal. Je ne sais pas si tous les campaniles sont du même type à savoir chambre de type Motel, mais je ne pensais pas qu'on pouvait décrocher le statut 3 étoiles pour ce genre d'hébergement. Au delà du logement, le vrai problème que nous avons vécu était le check-in qui a pris une durée de dingue car c'est le même personnel qui tient le restaurant et qui fait le check-in. Du coup on nous prend avec au moins 15 minutes d'attente (sans personne devant nous) puis on nous dit le restaurant ne reçoit plus après 21h alors qu'on était arrivé avant.

La chaîne des hôtels Campanile offre toujours un confort et un accueil très soigné et Hendaye ne fait pas exception. Personnel cordial, literie confortable, chambre propre mais petit déjeuner un petit peu moins gourmand qu'autrefois.
Bref, on est jamais déçu.

à 13 euros le petit déjeuner j'estime que la machine à café doit fonctionner. 1er café long que de l'eau chaude machine HS, par miracle elle fonctionne à la 2ème demande de café long avec un bon goût, mais quand j'ai voulu me servir un 2ème café long (donc 3ème tentative) très peu de café mais beaucoup d'eau, café plus que léger imbuvable..... machine à nouveau HS. En conclusion pour 13 euros j'ai manger 2 viennoiseries et j'ai bu 1 café long, mon chère café.... mon chère petit déjeuner !!!!

L'heure de réservation piur diner doit etre respectée et impossiblr de prendre un apero si on arrive 15 minutes en avance. L'apero ne peut etre pris qu'a table. Donc retour en chambre pour attendre l'horaire exact.

Ma fille et moi même avons trouvé la chambre très bruyante (voitures toute la nuit), le sèche cheveux ne fonctionnait pas, les volets même fermés laissaient rentrer le jour. J’ai été déçu et j’ai trouvé que la chambre ne mérite pas les 140€ que j’ai payé pour la nuit.

On peut comparer à un formule 1

Avec ma conjointe, nous avions du écraser sans mentir une cinquantaine de moustiques et être piqué une vingtaine de fois entre 23h et 2h du matin, tout ça bien surtout fenêtre fermée. Également une chambre à dispositifs andicape, alors qu'il etait prévu un baignoire. Le lit dure comme de là Pierre. Pour 140 euro là nuit c'est totalement incroyable.
Le matin on remonte l'information, on nous dis que c'est partout pareil....bref bien sûr nous ne serons rembourser de quoique ce soit, heureusement que nous n'avons pas déjeuner la bas la note ce serai allongé et peut-être même la frustration. Ah oui aussi, la télé est impossible à débrancher car entourée d'un compartiment boisé, ce qui veut dire que nous ne sommes pas dans le noir car l' heure
Projetée par la télé suffit à ne pas allumer les lumières la nuit. Bon l'isolation voilà ça reste l'hôtel vous avez compris ce n'est pas la maison.
Rien à ajouter, mais de 23h à 8h du matin ça fais beaucoup. 140 euros n'oubliez pas ce détails.

Clim meme à l'arrêt qui fait un bruit permanent, propreté très \"light\" (toilettes pas fait).
Point positif : le sas d'entrée avec 2 portes qui permet d'isoler un peu plus de l'extérieur et des débiles qui rentrent à 1h du mat en ne respectant personne...
PDJ sobre mais complet. Personnel d'accueil très sympa.
