We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The staff was kind and professional. We were able to store our luggage there before check-in with no extra charge.The hotel has washing machines and dryers to do laundry so this was helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Although the bathroom is really small, we managed just fine.

Nice but several problems.

The hotel staff was Great! The room was very clean. That is the usual in Japan even for 3 star business hotels. I have stayed here before and I forgot about the bad side.
The room is smaller than most newer hotels and the toilet is so small that I have to leave the door open just to sit down. The room refrigerator is so weak it’s more like a cooler. Cold drinks go in and cool drinks come out.
Great location, but there are far too many better hotels in area. It is a budget friendly hotel.

We loved staying here! The breakfast was delicious, staff was excellent, the room was clean, the location was very convenient. The only small con was that the room was small but it was expected in Japan. My favorite part of the stay was that the hotel offered a private sauna experiences for about 2980yen extra for 90 minutes. The private sauna experience sold me and I’d definitely return to this hotel next time I come back to Japan!

Toilet unusable and hotel management horrible

Room, bed, desk etc all okay but...

... The bath is a crime. Sure, this is a budget room so I don't expext a large bathtub or anything. But the toilet is unusable for a person of average proportions! The wall in front of the toilet is so close to the seat that you literally can't sit on the toilet without danger of things going \"south\". The Shinkansentoilet has more space than this.

I have been in many business hotels in Japan and I never seen anything like this. This is unacceptable.

On another note, there is an survey sheet laying on the desk asking about complaints against the staff on a personal level. You are even asked to describe the staff as detailed as possible if you don't know their name. So I guess you are supposed to take out your frustration on the low paid service staff? The hotel management must be horrible to work for and I won't support this with another visit.

Fix your toilets and treat your staff properly.

Just a regular room

It was a very very tiny room, the bathroom was even tinier and we kept bumping into the wall.
We also found a potato chip on the floor under one of the beds. Other than that, it was just a regular business hotel.

Too small for rooms.

Location was great as it’s 2 minutes from the jr train station. Rooms are really small as well as bathroom are very tight. We ended getting additional rooms as 3 people in a room is a real tight squeeze with no room to store luggage and walk around the room. Bed pillows are uncomfortable too, I had to buy a new pillow to use in the room for a more comfortable sleep

Condition of the hotel needs improvement!

Hotel is conveniently located near the train station but condition of the room is not very clean. We booked 2 rooms, one of which had mosquitoes and the other had a telephone set filled with dust. In fact, one of the toothbrush mugs in the toilet had lipstick mark & the bath towels looked yellowish. The vanity top was slightly tilted which made it hard to put things as they kept sliding down. The positioning of the toilet bowl was weird as it was at the entrance of the toilet which made entering difficult. Not a very pleasant stay!

2nd time in that hotel. There is a draining problem in the bath. I had the same problem the first time in an other room. Staff is nice and location is also good, but having two times the same problem in two different rooms is not a good thing.

I had a generally pleasant stay. The cleaning service was a little strange though, because they would never replace our drinking cups/mugs although everything else were replaced (ie: towels and robes). It just was a small thing that was a little bit annoying.

A warm gesture for a very cold night...

I did not expect the weather there to be sooo cold so i only brought a coat for spring. I asked the front desk for help and immediately the night shift front desk man (sorry didnt get his name tho) came to my room, adjusted the room temp and even gave me a thicker blanket. I wanted to stay again next week but i found out theyre fully booked. Thank you wing international kannai for a magnificent two nights!

Clean and convenient hotel near JR Kannai station

Booked one night at Hotel Wing after deciding to extend my stay in Yokohama after a business trip and my original hotel was fully booked for the weekend.
The room was very clean, had decent amenities and was of a good size for a budget hotel. The bed was advertised as a semidouble but was larger than I expected. I was on the 2nd floor at the front of the hotel but didn't hear any noise from the road outside. Had no problem leaving my luggage both before I checked in and after I checked out.
The hotel was about 3 minutes walk from JR Kannai, and had an attached Johnathon's restaurant and a Lawsons convenience store directly opposite, so it was a really convienient location.

The hotal is convenient for the International Cruise terminal in Yokohama. 20 minute walk on level ground or about 850 yen by taxi. It is close to Kanai station and eateries or food shops. Room was clean, beds comfy and staff pleasant.

Very Small Bathroom and Twin Room was very cramped

I stayed in a semi double room on my own so the space in the room was fine for me however the size of the bathroom is bordering on ridiculous. I think we all expect that things are going to be a bit smaller in Japan but they went a bit extreme with the bathrooms in this hotel. There is barely enough room to pull your pants down in front of the toilet and when sitting on it your face is pretty much resting against the wall in front of you. The bathroom really should have been 18 inches bigger and the main area of the room 18 inches smaller as this would have made much more sense.

I was also travelling with some friends who were sharing a twin room. I felt sorry for them as their room was the identical size to mine however it had two single beds instead of one double bed. This was really quite cramped for them so if you are planning to do this you would want to make sure you were sharing with a good friend who you got on well with ! I don't think you'd want to be staying more than a couple of days under those conditions either or you probably wouldn't be good friends any more.

This hotel was situated in a great location, close to a train station, the baseball stadium, many restaurants and a close walk to Chinatown. The hotel rooms were very well-kept and the only issue was that they are not spacious; we had four people in one room and had to take turns to walk around the bed to get to the bathroom. The bathroom was very tiny as well but extremely clean and stocked with toothbrushes, shaving kits and other bathroom needs. If you are a tall or large person, you may have an interesting experience in the little bathroom! My uncle is 6 ft. 2 in. and 250 lbs. and he managed but it was not the most comfortable for him sitting on the toilet with his knees against the wall or taking a shower in the tub. But again, the room was modern, very nice and very clean. The staff is nice but their English is very limited so maybe practice a little Japanese or use a translation app! There is an ice machine and washer and dryer on the second floor (about $2.50 USD to wash and $2 to dry). I would stay here again because I did enjoy the hotel and the great location. The price I got on Expedia was a great deal; we paid about $23 per person per night for four people in one room.

I’d definitely book this hotel again if I come back to Yokohama. The service is outstanding. The hotel is located at a very safe and convenient area. The closest subway station is 2 minutes walking distance away. There are three convenient stores nearby. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and clean. The room is small yet comfortable. The pricing is very reasonable as well. Thank you for a great experience!

Reasonable choice

We needed a reasonably priced place to stay near the cruise port and this hotel filled the bill. It was also close to the subway, an added bonus. Our room was comfortable but never in my life have I experienced such a small bathroom. If you are on the larger side or have knee issues this is not a good choice. Fortunately it was not a problem for us. Walking straight into the bathroom was impossible. The only way to access it was to enter sideways. At most there was an 8” clearance between the toilet and wall. Despite that issue we were otherwise pleased with our room. Our included breakfast was quite good. In the morning we were able to walk to our cruise ship in about 20 minutes.

We found Hotel New Wing a good value for money for one night stay in Kannai district, close to Chinatown and downtown Yokohama. We were surprised in the lobby by many young lady couples, so that was a good sign. Rooms were clean and efficient.

予定の1週間前でとったので　禁煙の部屋に泊まりたかったが　ツインの部屋が無く　仕方なく
喫煙可能なツインの部屋を取ったが　本当にタバコ臭くて　辛かった

トイレとお風呂洗面が狭くて使うのに苦労した
体が大きな人は無理と思う

駅から近く　コンビニも多く　食べるところも色々あったので　立地は良いと思うが
中華街には15分は歩いたと思う
