It’s what you would expect from a 3 star hotel in Tokyo. Rooms are about 125 sq ft or so but clean. Amenities could be a bit better (adding a shaving cream pack along with the razor they provide would be nice). Being able to stream from phone to tv would be nice.

Daiwa Roynet Hotel YOKOHAMA-KANNAI is a super clean, convenient, and lovely hotel to stay at in the Yokohama area. The staff were very patient with my broken Japanese, and took the time and effort to make sure my partner and I were well taken care of. They have wonderful amenities (especially the complimentary comb), and the tickets for the continental breakfast offered at the cafe below which is a really great deal. My partner and I greatly enjoyed our time there, and would highly recommend!

Very close to Chinatown, Yokohama Stadium. But not so close to World Porters, Cosmo World and Red Brick House. 5 min walk to JR Kannai Station. There are no supermarket nearby and the convenience stores nearby do not have a good selection as they tend to be smaller stores. There are no much shipping nearby

The hotel is centrally located and convenient to multiple restaurants. Just a short taxi ride from the Yokohama train station and also the cruise ship terminal. The rooms are a bit small but very clean and efficient. The staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay while in Yokohama.

This is a great place to stay. Prime location for shopping. A couple of convenient stores 1 min walk. Train station a few blocks away. The hotel is very clean, smells good. The customer service is great. Though I try and speak Japanese, everyone spoke English and were not shy. This will always be my first pick while staying in Yokohama.

Visiting family and touring Yokohama. Daiwa Kannai is locates to lovely park, walking mall, and close to Bay and to train stations. Hotel is perfect for expense account and offers tasty brk and clean neat room with a hot Japanese-style bath. And it is Quiet!!

Beware of the doppelgänger!

Getting to the hotel seems pretty easy but beware there is two hotels with the same name except for the last part of the name denoting it’s location. They are within walking range of each other as well. I stayed at the Kannai one which is closer to the Kannai train station as opposed to the Yokohama Koen location which is close to Nihonhondori station on a different train line. The Expedia link will lead you to the wrong hotel regardless if you use Apple Maps or Google Maps. Even a taxi driver got it wrong. The room was pretty good and I wasn’t bothered from a crying kid in another room two doors down.

Near the Yokohama Kannai Station, from which you can arrive directly to Shin-Yokohama Station to take the Shinkanshin. And a nice starting point to explore Yokohama City. You can find a bunch of shopping and dining venues nearby. Not far from the port or the Chinatown.

Slight disappointment when rubbish was probably forgotten to be removed.

Nice Hotel close to transportation

Staff very helpful, room comfortable, typical Japanese room size. Hotel close to two different stations, Kannai JR main line, and Yokohama Underground. The only problem is understanding which way to walk from the station exit to the hotel (take the North exit) especially if it is evening and the first time there.
Restaurant for breakfast was top class for this type of Hotel, and next door was an Italian restaurant. Nearby was a basic Supermarket for other items.
Rooms quiet from road noise.I would stay there again.
Good security system for accessing elevator and rooms.
Close to Yokohama (2 stops South/East), close to Limousine Bus YCAT terminus for access to/from Narita.

カプセルホテルが流行っていて私も一度利用しましたが、やはり快適さを求めてこちらのホテルに泊まりました。
・フロントや設備が綺麗
・デスクが広くパソコン作業も快適
・ベッドが広い
などいくつも嬉しい点がありましたが、個人的に一番嬉しかったのはズボンプレスかもしれません。
簡易操作できちんとスーツパンツのプリーツが復活！普段なかなかしたくてもできないことがこのホテルでできました。
もちろん朝食も美味しく、また利用したいと思います。

Spacious, quiet rooms!

Make sure you go to the correct location. They have another hotel near Yokohama stadium. VERY spacious rooms compared to typical business/ budget hotels. Single room has a double bed with high ceilings. My room was on the 3rd floor (Lobby) and facing the street, yet my room was extremely quiet. I was very impressed!

Beds were very hard and uncomfortable for us...suited to Japanese. Could easily walk to Chinatown from hotel. Supermarket next door.

Great location. Hotel is only 4-5 mins walk from Kannai JR Station and within walking distance to Chinatown, Yamashita Park and the Bayside 21 Mirai Area. Staffs are courteous and friendly (especially Ms. Kikuchi at the Front Desk, who is super nice). Room is of decent size and clean, with all the amenities you need. However, one thing they could really improve on is the choice of pillow.

The room was nice, and spacious, especially after my previous hotel. The location was pretty good, less than 5 minutes walk to Kannai JR station and the blue line subway. Easy to walk to Sakuragicho in about 15 minutes. Lots of restaurants around, and a 7-11 at bottom of hotel which is great for foreign travellers. The hotel spoke okay English too. The breakfast that came with my room was not very good though. I had it one morning, and even though it was free for 4, I didn't eat it again after that. I don't drink coffee, so can't comment on that.

Lovely hotel,close to all amenities & the station.

We had initially booked a double room which was too small for our needs. (We did not realise at time of booking that all standard double rooms in Japan were small in area). We then requested a larger room. The staff were accomodating and provided an alternative, albeit we had to pay the price difference. Once we sorted out the room, we started to enjoy our hotel stay so much that we decided to extend our booking at this hotel rather than go to Tokyo.

5 nights for this trip with kids(9 & 8 yrs). Booked superior double room with 168x 203 cm bed size. The girl counter staff not very nice. Not allowed us to stay in one room and try to convince us to book one extra room. How could we separate?! I really don't have idea. Finally, we stay in one room. But the lady remind us not OK for next time.
Honestly, we travel to Japan every year sometimes twice a year. This is the first time we had that experience. I won't recommend to friends especially wo with kids.

Great place in the heart of the fun.

This hotel is 5 years old but looks brand new. Very clean and especially quiet. Walking distance to great night life, Chinatown and the Bay Stars stadium. Close to the port although a bit far to walk. The breakfast, All you can eat and drink, is one of the best deals found. Pay the up charge when you book to save a few more bucks.

Good hotel in a quiet neighborhood

Nice hotel but the Kannai station isn't modern. While the hotel itself was comfy and the cleaning services great, the JR station near the hotel isn't one of the better ones. There are no escalators which makes carrying your luggage up the stairs quite a challenge. Also, some of the walkways to the station are being used by vagrants as their sleeping spaces.

This hotel was chosen because it was close to transportation. It was a very nice place to stay - and served a great breakfast!!! My room was quiet and the neighborhood safe. It was a short walk to shops and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. I would definitely recommend this one.

The room was very small and uncomfortable for two people to stay at. The service was not very good, as every time something was needed, we had to go to the lobby desk. We sent out shirts for dry cleaning, but came back shrunk and we had to go pick the clothes up at the front desk. It was not delivered to our door. Would not recommend staying here.

This is a decent hotel, but not stellar. The room and public spaces were very clean, and staff were friendly. Our double room was not a bad size, but it might be a tight squeeze for two if you are carrying more than a bag per person. The bathroom is tiny, but quite normal for hotels in this price range everywhere we stayed throughout Japan. The hotel is only a few blocks from the train station, and less than a mile's walk from Japan's largest Chinatown. Breakfast buffet is decent, with a variety of Japanese and western items.

Convenient cation at a good price.

Some people may think the beds are too hard, but Japanese people prefer them that way and more of the guests are Japanese. The rooms are cleaned well daily and towels are replaced as often as you request., The staff are extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and includes Asian and Western style food in abundance. Wifi, cable TV, small refridgerator and hot water pot are included free. Location is great with easy access to JR lines, subways and city sightseeing buses. Book as far in advance as possible as they tend to fill up quickly.

Out of the three hotels I stayed at while in Japan, the Daiwa Roynet in Kannai was my favorite. The room was relatively spacious, everything was clean and comfortable, and the blackout curtains did wonders for helping me sleep at night. We requested an iron & ironing board and someone appeared in less than a minute to deliver it. Talk about speedy service! Even if travelers intend to spend most of their time in Tokyo, the ~1 hour trek from Kannai to downtown Tokyo is completely worth it.

Great value. Located within 0.5 mile of JR station. 24 hour market next to hotel, great for drinks & snacks. Supermarket in outdoor mall with fresh fish and other food.

Rooms are small but beds are comfortable. Location and cleanliness make this a great value. Plus hotel staff was very friendly and did their best to communicate with success.

客室は清潔で、広いです。テーブルも大きいので、荷物をあれこれ広げながらも、パソコンを広げて仕事をするスペースを確保できました。ユニットバスも広々していて良かったです。入浴剤やアイマスクなど、無料のアメニティも充実していました。仕事を終えて夜遅くにホテルに戻る際、駅から明るい道を歩いて向かえる点は女性としては安心でした。また関内エリアで泊まるならこのホテルにしたいです。
