Yokohama Solo Adventure

It was my first time in Yokohama and I was so impressed with this hotel. The staff was nice and friendly. The room was great and the location was close to Cosmo world and many of the nearby attractions. It was just a short walk to the Yokohama Air Cabins and ferris wheel and access to the subway was just around the corner. I was able to do a lot of site-seeing despite only being in the area for one day.

Older property but pretty well maintained. The rooms were comfortable with a soaking tub that seemed deeper yet smaller than some of the other hotels I had stayed at in Japan. Breakfast was good. Overall a relaxing stay and I would come again.

The hotel service was awesome. I took my wife and 2 kids (10,8) Location was perfect. Close to multiple train stations. 10-15 min walk to Ferris Wheel and other amazing things. The walk provides great scenery Lots of food options close to hotel. My kids loved the candy shop 2 min away. They make their candy in house. My kids watched them for 30 minutes. At the hotel My wife loved the PJs they provided every night. The buffet needs to be pre paid at the front desk. Well worth the money. Lots of options for even the picky eaters. Amazing two days. The only down side is the rooms are cozy and watch you head if your taller then 5”10. The door frame was not built for taller people. With that said You can’t beat the value, service and location. Family can’t wait to go back

Great Location, Great Value

Location and price are the reasons you should consider this hotel.

Location is so convenient. A little walk to Kannai's ghetto, a little walk to Minato Mirai (ferris wheel, mall, cup noodle museum, etc), a short train trip to Yokohama, you are in the middle of all the business lunch specials. There's so much great food choices. My gosh, please look up lunch specials in the area. Generally, look for lines at 12pm. Those are the places that offer unbelievable value. We're talking a kaisendon for 600 yen ($5.50). If you are here long term and want to stay fit, you are a block away from Gold's Gym. They offer 2 weeks for 7000 yen, etc.

Hotel is on the older side. It's a business hotel after all. It's small, you'll get your rest, you can work, you can shower, go down early for their breakfast special. The mattress was the rolling mattress which squeaks a lot. I was able to hear the neighbors, but sound machine did the job.

Tip - They will offer to give you a water bottle for not cleaning your room. I don't want them in my room anyways so it was free water.

They want you to hand them the keys before leaving. When you come back, you just say your room number, but this made me feel very uncomfortable. Anyone dressed normally can ask for a room key. The charger didn't work.

This goes for most business hotels, but it's small. I hate the bathrooms that feel like you went inside a box.

Workers were always friendly and professional.

Cheap shelter for Yokohama exploration

This is a typical \"Salaryman Hotel\" in Japan. Roof over your head and a place to sleep, but very conveniently located and cheap. If that's what you are looking for then this is a perfect choice. Short walks to bayside park of Mirato Mirai and kid's entertainment and shopping, Noge for izakaya adult bars and stuff, Chukagai (Chinatown) I think on train stop away. Major Minato Mirai JR line right there.

Yokohama Heiwa Plaza Hotel

This hotel is in a great neighbor, very safe and family friendly. We found the room too small. There was no couch and only one uncomfortable desk type chair to sit on. We could not come back to our room after a busy day and relax as we all had to sit on the bed. The bathroom was very small and you have to step up to get into room. Because I had an ankle injury at the time I found this very frustrating. Having said that, if you are looking only for a clean and safe place to stay and don't care about comforts like sitting a couch etc, then I would recommend this hotel. I did not find it good for a family which consisted of three us, two parents and a nine year old child.

The hotel was perfectly located close to the water and the Pacifico conference centre and other nice sights. The staff were fantastic, though they didn't speak a lot of English. The room was clean, comfortable but very small. I was on my own so it was okay but I wouldn't have wanted to stay as a couple.

Check in is at 4pm and check out at 10am which means a short 18 hour stay.
I had a miscommunication with the hotel staff and had issue with my checkout time which made my experience more difficult, but I'm sure it was a simple communication mistake.
The single room is really tiny. For a single male traveler a capsule hotel is just as good and a third of the price.

Would recommend it - pleasant staff, good location

Went for a conference for a week and needed a convenient place but not too expensive for colleague and self. A 2 min walk from subway and a 15 min walk to Yokohama Conference Plaza. Many restaurants around, safe, clean neighborhood. Rooms clean, staff friendly, daily change of linens, towels, dressing gown. Beds ARE small, as are the rooms, bit of a squeeze for 2. No English TV channels. But if you don't plan to spend much time in room these should not be problems. Would stay there again. Another good find.

Perfect Location

The greatest thing about Yokohama Heiwa Plaza Hotel is its location. I went to Yokohama for attending Japan Geoscience Union (JpGU) 2014 conference at Pacifico Yokohama and this hotel is within walking distance from Pacifico Yokohama (~ 1km). Nearby hotel there are Chinatown, Yokohama Park, Yamashita Park, Red Brick Warehouse, Land Tower, Cup Noddle Museum which are all withing walking distance. The hotel is also next to Basamichi Station exit 5 so if you wanna go to Pacifico Yokohama, it's just 1 station away from Basamichi to the Minatomirai station exit 5 and there is Queen Square to connect Minatomirai line to the Pacifico Yokohama. Some of the hotel staffs can speak English so it's really convenient and they are also friendly.

Only low ceilings, RV bathrooms and no breakfast keep this place from being a 5 star place. Great value for the price and the location in Yokohama is not to be missed. Find the BBQ place and taprrom around the corner to discover amazing Japanese craft brews.

Good location

Located between two JR stations: Sakuragi-cho and Kannai. Sakuragi-cho is a next station to Yokohama station (the main station in Yokohama), and Kannai is a next station to Sakuragi-cho. It takes less than five minutes between Sakuragi-cho and Yokohama, and between Kannai and Sakuragi-cho. Possible to walk from the stations to the hotel. The hotel is in the center of Yokohama city. There are many cheap restaurants, some of which are open all day long, and many convenience stores, around. All hotel staff are gentle and kind, and some of them speak English.

Great location

This is a clean, simple, small hotel in Yokohama. It did all we needed it to do, providing us with a place to sleep and freshen up at times. The location is terrific, it is right by the subway and for us with a baby it meant it was easy to get to. It is very close to the harbor and all the attractions including landmark tower. We walked to everything from the hotel. The hotel reception was helpful and friendly.

部屋も浴室も狭かったです。

髪を染めて間もなく、ホテルの浴室で髪を洗った際、浴槽に染色剤を含む水滴が飛び散ったのに気づかず、浴槽などに染色剤が残ってしまいました。掃除用具を借りて落とした後、落とし切れないのは掃除の方に落として頂きました。お手数をお掛けしました。

喫煙室で部屋に入るとタバコの臭いがしました。ずっと空気清浄機をつけていました。帰宅して服からタバコ臭がしました。今まで喫煙可の部屋にはとまったことがありますが、かなり強力にタバコ臭が染み付いていると感じました。次回泊まる時は喫煙室は避けます。

深夜にチェックインしましたが、浴室のお湯が十分に温かくならず、最終的には水しか出なくなりました。
家族もすでに休んでいたため、その時はフロントへの連絡を控え、翌朝お湯が出れば良いと思っていました。
しかし朝になっても冷たい水しか出なかったため、フロントに連絡しました。

館内で給湯トラブルがあるか尋ねましたが「特に問題はない」とのこと。
スタッフの方が部屋まで見に来てくださいましたが、原因は分からず、お湯は出ないままでした。

代替案として「別の部屋でシャワーだけ使用できる」との提案がありましたが、前日が満室だったため別階の部屋になるとのこと。
また、チェックアウト時間を1時間延長できるという提案もありましたが、こちらは新幹線の予約時間があり、実質的な解決にはなりませんでした。

お湯が出ず寒い思いをし、最終的に何の改善もないままチェックアウトしました。
チェックアウト時も「申し訳ありませんでした」との言葉だけで、特に補償や割引等の対応はありませんでした。

古い建物であることは理解していますが、「シャワー付き」と明記されている以上、基本的な設備が使用できないのは残念でした。
このような場合でも全額の宿泊費を支払うしかない現状には、正直納得がいきません。
誠意のある対応や、今後の改善を期待しています。

部屋のリクエストにも即座に対応いただきました。部屋はデスク周りに大きな鏡がなかったのが残念です。エキストラベッドも入ってトリプルとなっていましたが、通路が狭くなっており、通路にあるベッドのカバーのすそに靴が絡まって転倒してしまいました。浴室ドアも近いので、年配の人は注意が必要と思いました。全体的に過ごしやすいよいホテルだったと思います。みなとみらいや中華街も歩いて行ける距離でした。また宿泊したいです。

建物は少し年季が入っていますが、洗面台もお湯が十分出るし、部屋も総じて清潔です。トイレ・お風呂も最近改装しているようで真新しくきれいでした。トリプルで宿泊したためベッド間が最低限の通路のみとなり、室内がかなり狭かったですが、寝るだけなら問題ないかと。気になったのは、湯沸かしポットはあるもののマグカップやお茶などの備品はありません。カップラーメン用なのかな？到着早々、お茶を飲もうと思ったら持参する必要があります。（１Ｆにウェルカムドリンクは用意してありますが。。。）また、部屋によるのか分かりませんが、トイレ・お風呂は室内フロアーより30cmほどの段差がありました。後期高齢者の家族は躓いて転び危なかったので、出入りの際はお足元に重々ご注意ください。（トイレの正面に3rdベッドがあってよかった）

Wir waren in der Unterkunft für 3 Nächte. Sie ist sauber und das Personal super lieb. Check-in hat total schnell geklappt. Wir sind nur zu Fuß unterwegs gewesen und konnten alles innerhalb weniger Minuten erreichen. Das Hotelzimmer war ziemlich klein. Die Koffer konnten nur auf dem Bett auf gemacht werden.
Daher, das Hotel ist für die Lage super, wenn man viel unterwegs ist.

受付時の説明が業務的すぎでした(感じは悪くないです)。
近くで別のスタッフが作業してる音で聞き取りにくくても、早口で小声で、抑揚のない話し方で、伝えてるのか質問してるのかさえ分からない時もありました。
